Update: Came back to this location after 6 years. I expected an okayish service, but I was impressed of how great customer service was. Food was delicious. Bad customer service from the hostess staff. We came in around 7pm on Thursday night, noticed two girls talking to each other, they noticed us but didn t welcome us, or asked if we could be helped, my friend had to get their attention in order for the hostess to acknowledge us. She took us to a table and we asked for a booth, she said none were available but I pointed at one that wasn t occupied and she denied to seat us there. I decided to take my money to our usual Applebees on 687 E Interstate 30, where the service is always friendly, courteous and professional.

I love the French Onion soup, but the Rowlett store has messed it up more times than I can count. I order it at least once a week and it arrives with absolutely no cheese melted on top! I called to talk with a manager, but this still keeps happening. Come on, Applebees, do better!

Went with my husband to celebrate our 24 anniversary because I liked their drinks but the service was trash the waiter was drunk and we didn t get our drinks for almost 30 minutes and when we gave her our order she went and sat down and started talking to the other waiter and didn t put the order in until like 10 minutes later we just paid for the 2 drinks and left and the manager should be fired because I told him that she was drunk and what happened and and said he knew she was drunk and still let her work thanks because y all ruined my night with that because we had to find somewhere else to eat and get drinks

After we were seated about 10 min went by..... First server took our drink and appetizers order. At least 10 min went by before another server came over and said she was our server we had to re order...there was only like 2 other tables at the time. The food was all wrong it was not good. We saw an older couple send their food back 2 times. I now wish we would have sent ours back and left. Idk if they were short handed and had a new cook but it was not a good experience.

A friend and I went for the dollar margaritas and left with homophobia, racism, and the worse case of toxic masculinity. Apparently it s ok to say there s nothing worse than a strong black woman and it s ok to ask if someone is legally suppose to be in America. I m sure you all can guess the race of the offender based of the comments he made at the bar. After encouraging the black women he disrespected he then proceeded to say that if he was straight he would understand why I spoke up for them . Although the service was great I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN because of the hate crimes I experienced last night. It s unfortunate that the staff and fellow bar goers had to suffer through that toxic fifth last night, however it was even more disappointing to see black men laughing at his jokes about other black people. Do better Applebees and protect your employees and customers from harassment.

We went to Applebees on a Sunday evening with our family. Knowing we were a large party with quite a few kids with us we had been patient even when we had kids food missing. The server was patient with us and did a great job trying to get everything out to us. Our problem started when the managers male friend got uncomfortably close to my 2 yr old daughter talking about how cute she was. A complete stranger to us. After we asked him if we can help him and telling him he needed to move on he was not taking a hint till we got rude with him telling him, he needed to move on. We were immediately after approached by the manager Hannah and were told to leave the restaurant that we were being rude and we were told guests were saying we were complaining about our food. But we had no issues with our food. When we asked for a corporate phone number Hannah advised we could find it on google and if we didnt leave she would call the cops on us. We left a tip for our server and left.

The hostess was very rude and disrespectful. We were told to wait 20 minutes to be seated and 45 minutes went by with no one seating us. We ask the waiter if he could seat us and he did. It took an hour and half to finally get our food. The hostess returned after we were unhappy about waiting so long that she was mad that we did not wait and refused to apologize. The server was friendly and polite in general. I seated at the table around the bar area, so the server was one of two bartenders. It took her some time to come greeting me and take the order. She checked back on me after the drink and food were received. But I still felt it took much more time to get her attention and check on me. Not convenient though, still prefer to sit at the bar. The manager was working around the kitchen and sometimes in the bar, as I could see. Tipsy Leprechaun Cocktail tasted good but I felt the alcohol was a bit weak in the whole drink body. The presentation was very good with the green color fluid and some golden granulated sugar at the glass top; great for the celebration of Saint Patricks Day. The temperature was ice-cold nicely. Spinach & Artichoke Dip tasted fine and normally traditional. The music volume level was just right for the night time. The guest conversation level was not quite loud. I would say I felt comfortable to enjoy the drink and food over here in the dinner time. There were 4 TVs around the bar area; all were on and playing. The best one for me to watch is the big screen TV in the center of the bar. The quality was good and clear to watch the baseball game. The other small TV which I could still watch was playing the news or the weather. Nicely enjoying the time here. Parking: Easy to find parking. No issue.

Just a horrible dinner. Ordered wine, my wife s moscato came out cold, my Pinot Noir was pretty much just hot. The cheese curds were great, I ll give them that compliment. Ordered the all u can eat. Mind you, it s not busy and there s plenty of servers, our plates took 30 minutes to come out originally. Then after ordering my second plate, we sat for 20 minutes before our waiter came back around. After reminding him I had ordered the wings, it took another 15 minutes to get them. The last two times weve come here as dine-in guests have been disappointing. Today was worse. It was busy yes and mostly the bar area. My sister and I both ordered salad app and then steak. I came in this afternoon, had to sit myself, which should have been a RED FLAG to me. Then I had to order myself food through the presto machine, not a problem. My chips came then the manager seen I didnt have napkins, she brought me some without asking, not a problem. Then my food came, the waiter, Dillion asked if I needed anything else. I said just silverware, not a problem but should have already been brought to the table. I watched him take others their orders, I still waited. Finally, I got up and asked him if he expected me to eat my food with my fingers. He said oh, Im sorry, I forgot. At that point, I was done and walked out. I called the manager and she was apologetic but Dillion is a piss poor waiter that doesnt need to walk as a waiter. It was the most horrible service Ive gotten anywhere. The General Manager needs to replace all of them at this point. Pathetic.

Typical Applebees fare. The waiter didnt seem to be as attentive as others weve had. Most of the menu items have a high calorie count, so it can be difficult to feel good about what one orders. There is no shortage of flavor, if thats more of what you are into. Vegetarian options: No clear labeling for vegetarians, but you can find items that dont contain meat. I prefer the French onion soup myself. Kid-friendliness: There are decent options for the kids menu, and at fair prices. Grilled chicken or chicken tenders, applesauce sliders, mozzarella sticks. I do wish they had a few more healthy options

I was looking forward to enjoying the four cheese Mac n cheese honey pepper tenders but I really was disappointed. There were several ingredients missing. My server/bartender Haleigh was very attentive. I ended up just sitting close to bar at a tall table after waiting 8 minutes for a booth. At one point the bartender was serving 19 guest in the bar area, no empty beverage glasses. I was gonna have a burger and half price apps but that did not start till after 9pm So l went with the AUE Boneless wings and fries. The first order comes out as 10 boneless wings with fries, the next order comes out Smaller with 5 wings and maybe a 3 oz order of fries even though they were crispy and seasoned good a little small. The Buffalo Sauce was what l expected, but the Garlic Sauce ones was very good and recommended by the bartender. No pics my phone died I forgot my charger. As for atmosphere, not much going on. Came here late Saturday nite, group of 5 of us and 2 of us ordered the cheese curds, among other things. They were so greasy I got some nice acid reflux in the middle of the night and cooked so long that the cheese had mostly melted out. Both orders. Friends got a 2go box, and lids for their sauces but no bag to carry it all in so she just left it all there. The husband and I didnt even finish our shared cheese curds as we both were feeling sick by all the grease.

Trash management I ve had bad experiences with Ed or Eddie when getting an order to-go and when dining in. I will not support again. I recommend some training on professionalism.

First of all the one thing I enjoyed about this place was the fact you can play your own music, Ulysses was so nice and sweet. He honestly saved the experience I had here. The manager on the other hand a total dush bag. I highly doubt Ill return here. Had an attitude when my friend asked to be served out of a new bottle of wine.

Tristan was the most amazing server, he was attentive and all around just amazing. I had really hard day and Tristan s energy and service made it all so much better. 10/10 The food was great, love the sweet Asian wings but he made it all worth. It personally took too long for someone to acknowledge me. That is one of my main concerns. When I go into a restaurant is a smile and day how are you doing? The waitress or bartender was more concerned about one of the customers making obvious faces very sweet girl, but that was unprofessional to me. The food was OK.
