The food was disgusting. I ordered sesame chicken, the egg roll bites egg drop soup and chicken pho. Nothing was authentic. The pho was cloudy and tasteless. The egg roll bites were rubbery and Im pretty sure the chicken was premade frozen chicken bites that you can buy in bulk from Sams Club. The flavor of the meat was off so I started pulling it apart and some of it was greyish in color some was compact squares with thick breading around it. The cherry on top is that I kept finding noodles mixed in with my chicken, but I never ordered a noodle dish. Ive heard stories about restaurants reusing food left over from other patrons plates to save money and I actually believe thats what happened here. Overpriced is an understatement. I think Im gonna be sick.

I thought I would go out and try this restaurant, heard good things. The food Whats the avaverage. Normal prices surroundings were okay. What killed it for me was not the taste but the ingredients. I ordered general Tsos chicken all white meat. I got the meal and noticed the chicken didnt taste like white meat. I found it was mix. As I was chewing I found something hard which turned out the be the upper joint of a femor chicken bone. I told the waitress about it and got a dumb look. Needless to say I wont be back. If you cant keep chicken bones out of the meals and charge for white meat when it isnt, youll be out of business soon!

We ordered based on the picture of Stir Fried Noodles with wide noodles but got a dish with thin noodles. Then we were told that the picture is wrong. Also, that dish is too salty. We are not satisfied as before. I like their pho! A great place to go after playing badminton nearby. I also appreciate their kindness. Once, there was no water available in their restrooms and I was looking for water to wash my hands. I was impressed that they let me wash my hands in their kitchen.

A whisper of flavor, watered down everything All the noodles were soggy and took away from the flavor. The pork was cooked, and thats about all I can say about it. The pho was watery and had an unclean metallic taste. Even the softshell crab tasted off. Like it was sitting out for too long. I hope I didnt get food poisoning. Went to the bathroom and it looked like the door was never cleaned. Ordered Thai tea but never got it. They completely didnt even bother writing it down. TV was playing nonstop car commercials, and the radio was on at the same time over the loudspeakers!?! Probably the second worst Vietnamese restaurant Ive been in to-date. This place even makes phoNatic feel authentic

This restaurant does not serve actual authentic Vietnamese dishes despite its name. We came on an afternoon Wednesday and had lots of disappointment. Food: We ordered Ph with tai, gau, and bo vien ($15) and Bun th t n ng ch giò ($13). For preface, my family and I are from Vietnam, so we know what real and authentic Viet foods taste like. I will tell you that these dishes are not authentic. For the pho, the broth was cloudy (i sent a photo of the pho to a friend who is not fully Viet, and the first thing my friend pointed out was the cloudy broth). This is due to unskilled cooking. The meats were kind of smelly, not prepared properly. The bun thit nuong was the biggest disappointment. The rice noodles were dry and rubbery instead of being moist and dense. Might be because they pre-boiled the noodles and left them in the fridge, only taking them out when someone orders them. The meats, to be frank, so bad. Bun thit nuong literally means grilled meat with rice noodles. The meats in this dish WERE NOT GRILLED (owner confirmed this). The meats were literally braised and caramelized to give the effect that they were grilled (THEY WEREN T). Also you can tell this because after mixing up the meats and the noodles with fish sauce, the noodles literally turned brown. The meats didn t even taste good (like i had to force myself to eat them). Back to fake grilled meat, you re telling customers it s grilled meat while it s not?? isn t this scamming and deceiving lol. Also, popular Vietnamese restaurants that serve bun thit nuong and grilled meat still grill their meats. Like they get massive number of customers per day and still grill their meat properly. Grilling meat doesn t take that long??? Service was meh. I was kind of confused when I went inside the restaurant because the place was so empty (only 1 other customer there). Atmosphere was meh. Anyway, I wouldn t come back and wouldn t recommend a friend here.

Saigon 512 has quickly become one of my go-to places for an authentic Vietnamese culinary experience. My favorite is their Pho Dac Biet. This bowl of pho is perfect on any day. The balance of textures and flavors is simply perfect. I love their iced Thai Tea. It is a refreshing complement to the robust pho, offering a sweet and creamy counterpoint that I can t resist. Its a must-try for anyone visiting the restaurant. Another standout dish is their Banh Cuon. My husbands favorite dish is their Shrimp and Pork Lo Mein. Even though I often order to go, the staff at 512 Saigon always make me feel welcome. Their warm hospitality and efficient service enhance the overall dining experience, whether Im eating in or taking out. They ensure that every order is prepared with care, maintaining the high quality that keeps us coming back. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal. I ve only ever gone to one place for pho in Austin. Decided to try my luck with Saigon. It s 2:46pm now and it was my first meal of the day.. I was so undecided on what I wanted for lunch.. saw them and their gallery and just knew I had to try the pho. I placed a carry out order. I got the rare round steak and brisket in it. Mind you the rare steak was fresh and raw in my to go container. A big bag of fresh basil, bean sprouts, and plenty jalapeño slices (some places only give about 2 slices of jalapeño). Just awesome. The broth is so flavorful and you can really taste the cardamom and cinnamon. Love it. 10/10. Service was quick as well. As it should be. Will definitely bring the family here soon! I now have a location for pho downtown, as well as up north.

My wife and I very frequently eat Vietnamese food, and this is easily the best Vietnamese restaurant weve been to in Texas. I got the Crispy noodles, which is one of my go-to meals at any Vietnamese restaurant, and it was the best Id ever had. The sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory and complimented the flavors of the individual vegetables and the meat perfectly. We also got the the Banh Xeo, which was also just a perfect blend of flavors. The only reason this isnt going to be our new go-to Vietnamese restaurant is because were not from the area. But weve already agreed we will be stopping here every time we pass through the area.

With absolutely no exaggeration, the duck noodle soup smelled like duck s rear end (I should know, I grew up in a farm)-I don t even know how it could smell that way but it did. I can usually stomach a lot of intense food but this one was tough for me as well. Bun bo hue is $16, but came with really tiny portion (almost like amount in kid sized noodles). Very traditional, beautiful Vietnamese restaurant. Love the decor inside. Many of the traditional popular Vietnamese dishes were served on a beautiful ceramic bamboo design platter. My son had the pho bo vien. His rating for it was a 3/5. He still prefers his go to place I had the banh cuon tofu. It was displayed beautifully. Portion was of good serving and tasted good as well. I think the fish sauce could have been stronger but maybe in order to cater to the majority, it was diluted. Great place to take a friend that enjoys unique, authentic Vietnamese food with a lovely atmosphere.

I gave 3 stars because the 2 female service girls were cute, but I was actually very disappointed with the food and the owners way of receiving guests. There are 7 people in my family. My mother is not hungry and does not want to eat. So I ordered 2 portions of beef noodle soup, 1 portion of braised fish and 1 large portion of sour soup (I asked the owner if 1 portion of sour soup is enough for how many people to eat. She said the large portion is enough for 4 people), 3 cups of eggplant. coffee with milk and 1 glass of sugarcane juice. Thats enough for my whole family to eat with those portions. But the owner kept repeating that and only had 2 bowls of vermicelli. Should I order anything else? Even after I ordered that many dishes, when she came to collect the menus, she repeated the same question and asked to hold one so I could order more, making my family feel very uncomfortable and strange with that kind of reception. . If you only ask once, its understandable, but asking again and again is like forcing the customer to order more. I hope the owner can read it to improve her service attitude. Not to mention the food is not particularly delicious so customers will skip it and come back.

I give them 1 star because the price is higher on computer than on the menu when we received the check. Thats cheating! Everything is $19.99 on my bill but that was not the prices on the menu. And they charged 18% gratitude automatically. 6 people with 6 orders and the total was $135 and some changes. Way expensive for lunch!! Also, bun bo hue is not bun bo hue. It does not have spice, not enough lemon grass flavor and I got 2 meat balls in bun bo hue. Dont eat bun bo hue! Taste like pho with food color on top.

We were only one of a few people there during lunch. Please come here and bring them business!! Very kind and courteous people. I myself didn t realize they had just opened up not too long ago. I consider myself a foodie and this place meets my standards.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered this restaurant, a total new one to me (although clearly well established). I was absolutely delighted; you see, I lived in Houston for several years and there developed an abiding love for the varied, interesting cuisine of Vietnam. Although there are some places where you can get decent pho and a passable banh mi in Austin, I havent found a great depth of excellence when it comes to other, less common dishes. So I was thrilled to find this place, which (in addition to offering Americanized Chinese-style dishes) offers traditional Vietnamese dishes too. I ordered Banh Cuon and Banh Xeo and they were just excellent. On par with good places in Houston. I cant wait to come back and try some of their other specialties. I wish them great success with their business! We need more restaurants like this one!

Food is amazing here! Checkout my photos. This is our new favorite spot! We came here during lunch hour so you get a roll. The kids plate is big. Kids came nowhere near finishing their plates. I ve gotten the Sesame Chicken and the Orange Chicken. Both are really good. The chicken breading is crispy or crunchy and not rubbery like some places. The fried and white rices were made great too. The rice was not mushy. I highly recommend this and look forward to trying the other dishes!

I love this place so much! The food was amazingly good with great portions/prices. The atmosphere is very nice and spacious/clean. The service was great, all very friendly and helpful and wanted to make sure I was okay with what I ordered since it was an authentic dish that not everyone may appreciate the flavors. Even after I received my food still checked to make sure I liked it. Cant wait to come back and get more goodies.

Honestly, IMO, there are only a handful of places in Austin that make really good authentic Vietnamese food and this is definitely one of them. OK tonight we feasted bc its Fathers day and they did not disappoint on the food. The Customer service was really good. Ill start out with the Pho Dac Biet (combo), it was pretty good just short of really good. The beef flavor was not quite there for me but everything you get in the bowl nails it, you will eat and be satisfied.

3.7 stars. The restaurant is nice and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered banh khot and banh bot chien for appetizers and they were good (we finished them). My main dish was a bowl of Pho Tai Nam and my wife ordered a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. I was not used to the flavor of their broth. It wasn t bad, just different (I didn t finish). My wife is very picky when it comes to her Bun Bo Hue and she hardly touched her food. We will probably be back but probably for more Banh Khot and some Banh Xeo. Vietnamese Iced Coffee was strong, just how I like it!

Great authentic Vietnamese spot in the Round Rock area. Not many places in Round Rock like this one, with lots of classic options to choose from. The prices are pretty high but still good portions. Not too busy yet as they are relatively new. Loved the food quality, and one of the best fried flat noodle dishes I ve had. Good service, food came out pretty quick!

I ve been hearing so many great things about this pance and today was finally my turn to give it a try! The restaurant is located on a big plaza, with a plenty of parking spaces in front of the store. We arrived around 630pm, and it was just about 10% occupancy. The crowds started to flood in around 7pm but you should still be able to get seats without making reservations in advance. The servers are all friendly and attentive. They offered to let us pick the table and the water was served right away (with straws on the side). We ordered Pho, Banh Cuon, Banh Bot Chien, Bun Bo Hue, and Bun Rieu. The appetizer, Banh Bot Chien, was soooo good and a MUST order. I also highly recommend their Bun Bo Hue. You get very generous portion with a huge pork hock and a lot of beef. The broths are super yummy and the whole bowl is just impeccable! Will surely come back again.

The pho and spring rolls are very good here, so I will be visiting regularly just for these items. The fried chicken feet was impossible to eat since the frying method made the skin so dry it was hard to eat off of the bones, but the flavors are good. I will order the chicken wings instead next time.

I will not order from here. On a order of $12.99 the added convenience fee (aka - credit card fee) in the amount of $1.50. This is 12% of the order amount. More and more restaurants especially chains are adding this fee to your orders so be careful. Shlotskys also add convenience fees to their orders.

For appetizers, the muc rang muoi (fried calamari) was crispy but lack the salt and pepper flavor...the dipping sauce made up for it though. And although aesthetically presented, the banh khot (mini vietnamese crepes), was just okay. For entree, the bun bo hue (bbh) was jam packed with all sorts of meat which was a bonus but the broth tasted watered down. And lastly, the bo luc lac (shaken beef) might have been overcooked as it was not tender. All that being said, the star of the show was probably the cafe sua da (vietnamese iced coffee).. had the right about of condensed milk to coffee ratio.

Very disappointed with how we were served on Friday lunch hours. As soon as we came in, the waitress rushed me to order drinks and food. Once she was done, she never came back to check on us but only to bring the check which we were not even finished with the food and it was only about 20 mins. The food was served quickly but many things were missing and the poor waiter guy had to go back and forth many times to bring us all the necessary items. The food was decent and flavorful. We just wish we weren t being rushed like we were on a time limit. The restaurant barely had that many tables and there were like 4-5 servers. If it wasn t for the waiter that came and asked how the food was before we were leaving, we would never come back. Hopefully the service will be better next time. Parking: Free

Found this pho location while searching for a new place to try. Since the weather was a bit cold today, we made today a Pho-day . We arrived to the restaurant after 12pm and the place was packed. There were people at the door waiting to be seated but did not see anyone from the restaurant taking names. However, things eventually work out and we found ourselves been seated in a booth with a good view. Unlike other pho restaurants that lists phos with different types of meats, Saigon 512 provides Pho and allows customer to select up to 3 types of meats. When the phos arrived, to my surprise, the broth looked visibly different depending on the meat type. That is, while the rest of family members ordered eye round steak and/or briskets, I ordered pho with eye round steak, brisket and tendon, my phos broth had more fatty appearance than others, which made perfect sense. In addition, the taste was excellent, not too salty or light, and the amount of food I got, I believe was fairly priced ($14.95 as of March of 2023). I am very pleased of having discovered this new pho restaurants nearby and definitely look forward to visiting again in the future.
