The people were friendly but they are community conscious. Family oriented and defensive, in the preferred manner if you have young children in your care. If theres a problem here. Let it be shown your just passing through and check out the local church.

Very nice little pound with a bundle of cuteness. They are so friendly. Please feed responsibly: like bring some seeds, dry corn, etc. I love just sitting there and watching them napping around me.

Brushy Creek MUD does a great job with their parks. Theres a sign that says Dont bring bread for the ducks because it hurts their tummies, suggesting all kinds of bird seed, bags of frozen corn, etc instead. Great place to sit on a bench and talk with a friend.

The best time, in this summer heat, to walk is early. My daughter and I got started at 9:10 for a walk and stopped after we felt the heat. We had a good time. My only concern is the motorists that zoom by when the speed zone is 30 to 35 miles per hour. There is a speed increase as one heads closer to Cedar Park.

This is a nice, small park with a pond with ducks and geese and a good number of old oak trees shading the shore here and there. And there are some small wooden houses floating on the water, presumably for the ducks and geese, although we didnt see them on the islands while we were there. Theres also a small playground uphill from the pond by the street. Theres a bit of construction going on at the edge of the park right now, but once youre by the pond you dont notice it.
