We pulled into the parking lot hoping to find a new favorite place to eat and we found it. Excellent service and a great selection of options on the menu. The breakfast tacos and burgers were really good. Plenty of seating in a clean dining area. And they have puffy taco that are incredible. We will be back soon.

I came here to order food to go, and was waiting almost an hour! Several people who came in after me received their food before me! This is happened to me a few times, so Tio Dan s is off my list of go to places! I kept hoping they would treat to go orders better, but I now know we re last on the list!!!! Great place for breakfast or lunch. This place specializes in Puffy tacos, especially puffy fish tacos . The portion sizes are great and prices are pretty good. Its inside a plaza and there are plenty of parking. This place does not take online order, yet. I recommend the breakfast plates.

Tio Dans has the best puffy tacos in town. They just do. Theyve got a really large menu which is all really affordable and excellent. I love having breakfast there when I can. Their migas are great and among my favorites, but its hard to get past the puffy tacos. Expect a line. Theyre popular. Dont expect fine china or silverware, they arent that kind of place. What you get is some really amazing and affordable food from folks that love serving it to you. 10/10.

Good food at a good price. I dont know what magic they used to fry the food, but wow, what a meal. It is as simple as the rice and beans to the layers of the amazing beef puffy taco . This place is one of my new favorite spots to eat. The shrimp and fish platter is super crispy and tender on the inside. And the french toast is made better that your momma makes it . This place is a locals gem. Get it while its hot, fresh to dine in. Dont sleep on the chicken fried steak, I tell ya, theirs some magic in that oil.

This place is very good. I come from a place where a Mexican food is just fine so Tex Mex isnt really my thing however this is the way to do it. Had the three extra plate with eggs which was phenomenal. Had the puffy Taco plate which was incredible. Its the puffy tacos. Seriously. Ill be hitting this place easily once a week.

We have been going here since the original tio dans and puffy tacos first opened in its last location and this is the first time we have been back to the new location. Horrible service. I noticed that if you do not tip at least 20%, they will make you wait a lot. I came in for just one taco and waited over 25mins while most orders after mine were given out like candy. There is this fat lady with glasses who controls the orders based on tips. I heard her several times saying to the cooks this order, not that one.

Im a native to round rock, I used to come here with my dad as a teen and they were Olé taco in downtown round rock. We d come in the mornings for breakfast tacos for the family. Moved back recently and after almost a decade I decided to visit again. This might be just the nostalgia, but the food is just as good as it used to be. Maybe the beans are less greasy, just appeals to a different taste. I ve since been a less picky eater but I ve now tried multiple items on the menu like the barbacoa and the carne en puerco special, and I ve been missing out all these years. As for the price, everything has gone up, but even then it s a reasonable price for authentic food and is filling. Place is clean and organized. I m glad to be a regular again!

I have been eating Tio Dan s since before it was olè taco downtown round rock. They have definitely gone downhill over the years. More so over the past 4 years. The food is good but not like it was before. The service is what kills it. The past three times I have gone to pick up the food the employees at the counter are just so rude and nasty and make it seem like they are doing you the favor by feeding you. There s no customer service what so ever. It saddens me to see this because this is a place I grew up on. Please do better for you customers because your going to lose a lot more if you keep operating this way.

Being a Favor runner, I called ahead to place customer order, phone rung at least 8 times and no one answered. When I arrived I heard phone ringing at the desk and no answered they walked pass as if they did not hear it. I kindly asked the cashier if they were taking call Ins and she instantly with a nasty attitude said Im sorry but we have been busy. Her demeanor was not customer friendly nor was her body language appropriate. I would not recommend this restaurant to patrons. As I was waiting for my order the cooks were looking at me from the back. As being a Food Vendor myself, this was very poor customer service. DELICIOUS!!! I got the double cheeseburger combo and a carnitas taco for dessert. The burger patties appear to be hand made and were cooked to perfection. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy! Been coming here since they were at the downtown square location.. but lately the service has been 0/10. I walked in and an older gentleman asked super nicely for a little bit of extra beans because he was given BARLEY any compared to his other taco and one of the lady employees was SO rude for no reason at all yelling at this poor man THAT LL BE AN EXTRA 50 CENTS . Like okay i get extra cost extra but there s nicer ways to talk to your customers .and when she brought it out to him practically threw it on the table and gave him the smuggest, ugliest look. Other than that, my order was missing salsas (funny considering last time i asked for extra she told me tacos come with 2 EACH so why did i only get 2 total for 2 tacos?? And i guess this is what we are calling a bag full of chips now . I come here very often on weekends for breakfast but lately the service and attitude from staff has made me want to seek other options do better! The atmosphere was okay but Im here to talk about what everybody wants to know about the food. I only tried one thing and that was the Baha shrimp taco. On the menu. Its going to show up as a choice between Baha fish and shrimp taco you make your choice. It comes with a sauce and it is about $2 in change but I had to add avocado because avocado is everything. Lets just say this taco was delicious and I want more. If only I had the recipe. I have this with a mandarin jarrito which I havent had in a long time.

I order the same thing every time I go there. Pick up order: 4 beef gorditas with guacamole and a side order of chips and salsa. I get charged differently every time. Today it was $9 more than the last time. Same order plus they ended up giving me 2 small condiment containers for my order of salsa. Enough to put on gorditas. Keep in mind I paid for chips and salsa, so I go back in and tell them that isn t enough salsa. So I get charged an extra $ $3.45 on top of me already paying $9 over for a small salsa. Then I have to remind them to give me chips that I obviously paid for with the second salsa. I love the food but not the inconsistency. I guess they just make up prices as they go.

Was really good, but puffy tacos fall apart to quickly from juicey meat filling. Other than that, it was a very good meal. Salsa is very good also, and the service was great. Atmosphere was good, but its more like fast food joint than mid level restaurants. But I will be going back again and again.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I enjoyed the Puffy Tacos, and she had the enchilada plate. They offer a very good value, and delicious food. I particularly like the Puffy Tacos! Cant speak to the question of the fish... But I do recommend their Mexican food and its prices. Lots of people seem to like the hamburgers, too. The dining area is now set up for safety in Covid 19 era...see pics. I recommend you consider the luncheon specials for good value. Food is served in plastic ware so very informal setting. Beware that the hours are unusual...not a dinner house. Parking: Adequate free parking right out front. Kid-friendliness: A very casual atmosphere is kid friendly.
