My 11-year-old son and I went today because it s something we ve been meaning to do and because it was so hot outside. We played the Archer game and it was a lot of fun. It was a great bonding experiencing with my son as we worked together to defeat the goblins as archers. We will be going back to play the fireman game. It was so cool to be able to jump into a different world and work together with my son towards a common goal.

This place is awesome!! I have only positive things to say! My husband and I had a great date experiencing the Lost Pyramid game. And since we finished it with some time left, they hooked it up with a bonus tower defence game! We loved both games and cant wait to go back to check out other games. The space is clean and spacious, everything was explained well to us before starting, and the staff was very friendly. Thank you Virtopolis VR! Update- April 2024 Our second visit was another great experience! This time had to invite friends to share it with! We did the Alice game with 4 people, and even though it was said to be one of the most difficult games, we finished with time to spare! It was super fun and the gals working here were very friendly and good sense of humor. Or at least didnt mind our silliness. .

Decided on Virtropolis for my 45th bday. Glad we did! Didnt need a reservation and experienced no wait time on a Thursday evening. Were rookies and had a bit of a hard time deciding on a game. Others have recommended the Pyramid thing...we decided on Zombie shooter Rotten Apple. My son got it right off the bat, my daughter did too (though she is not good at watching my back my 6 LOL) and it didnt take long to figure out the controls. It is NOT as hard as you think (Im all thumbs, two left hands, use whatever analogy you want). And Virtopolis is about $50 cheaper than the place in the Domain. So, all said and done, it was a great experience and we cant wait to do it again.

Adult birthday party, had a larger group so we played 2 games. We played Sanctum in my group and its a creepy but fun environment! Once we got the hang of it (it was our first time), it was pretty intuitive.Great experience! So much fun!

to experience VR is very unique I recommend everybody try it because it s amazing technology that is wondrous and everybody should get the opportunity to experience something like that. this place facilitates, an easy way to experience it. It was very fun, and the staff simplified the experience by helping and being there for any of our needs, and Having the private party room was great, because it was very very secluded and an experience For a truly private party, that you can enjoy in a giant room with a big table and an area to put things and even a microwave. with nice restroom facilities, a big garbage bin for easy cleanup and we were able to spread out and be ourselves without being crowded with others. we were able to bring our own food and our own party supplies and decorate as we please- a nice ample space With just enough time to do the game, have a party and hang out for a little while after. The place is clean and comfortable and they sanitized with Lysol. It was very organized, comfy, spacious, private, and enjoyable in many ways. they have a nice lobby in the front with couches. They have sofas all over the place where you can hang out and rest with your guests and relax. A nice thing to have when people from a party are getting picked up. definitely recommend and definitely going back. thank you.

Virtropolis is, as you might expect, truly emersive. Theres a good variety of games. The escape room games are story-focused puzzle type games (we enjoyed Medusas gate), and the arcade games are more immediate-waves-of-enemies type games (we played Archer, a tower defense game). I liked it so much the first time that we went again recently. We were their last game of the night, and the staff graciously let us complete our game even though it meant they had to stay a few minutes late. We had a great time and would recommend!

A group of us went for my birthday celebration and it was awesome from the moment we walked in! We were greeted and welcomed. They explained the game difficulty level to us and went over the controls with us. It was such a fun and immersive experience. Enjoyed an epic Boys Night at Virtropolis on November 18th! The experience was simply AMAZING. We had an absolute BLAST! As an Oculus owner and fan, I was confident it would be cool, but it far exceeded my expectations. It takes VR to a whole new level with an incredible choice of games and escapes, a comfortable facility, and incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Loved it so much that Im going back today with my 8-year-old son. Amazing experience! My boyfriend and I were in the area and thought it would be fun as we love escape rooms. We walked in and did not have a wait. We were immediately taught all of the controls and taken back. The game itself was super fun and interactive. We did cyberpunk and I enjoyed that we worked as a team but there was also a part of the game where we had to work independently as well. Definitely will be coming back:)

FIVE STARS!! My wife and I went to Virtropolis on a date nite for a first time vr escape room experience. We chose Escape the Lost Pyramid since as its recommended for first timers. Before I forget, I called in first to speak to one of the staff there. Unfortunately I do not recall their name so I apologize to whomever was the staff member. But we arrived, signed waivers and we were given a short brief tutorial. We loaded in and began what going to a blast for the next 35m as we solved our puzzle quite quickly! We were then even gifted the opportunity to play a game since we finished well ahead of time. We then played Archer, a vr tower defense arcade game. ANOTHER W! Although we didnt beat it successfully we enjoyed ourselves to the utmost. We willl definitely be returning at some point in the future and hopefully with our friends.

I scheduled Virtropolis for a work team building event and everyone had a great time. We did an escape room aboard a space ship to keep it from crashing into a planet. The game was very innovative and required more teamwork than a physical escape room because the VR added another entire dimension to the game. After we escaped early we played a game of high tech dodgeball which was even more fun than the escape room. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

I absolutely love this location. I have gone two times now. Once as a group and again just this past week with my partner. The staff are very friendly and do a great job helping you get comfortable. The equipment is clean and in great condition. The set up at this location is very practical and simple. You do not have to be a versed gamer to enjoy this activity! It feels so real and totally worth doing once at least.

We went to VirtropolisVR Escape Room for our quarterly team building event. From the very beginning, Tony made this process seamless. When we arrived (20 of us), we were greeted by Tony and his team. We sat down and had lunch as a team, which Tony also arranged, and were given the rules of the games. I must say, we had a blast. At the end, Tonys team even helped us with our raffle drawing and trivia questions. When I asked my team about how they liked this event, they said it was the best one by far! Thank you Tony! One of the few VR places around town. We went for a walk in ! They had spots available and very friendly and nice folks . I went with my 8 yr old. They were very informative about the types of games, helped us choose the type of games . They were also available for help during the game, when my little ones equipment was acting up. above all they went above and beyond to let my son and I finish the game although we went over the allotted time( on the house ). Overall an amazing experience and would highly recommend it. Most games are only escape room types. This is not a first person shooter type arena(at least not yet )

A friend and I played the cyberpunk game. When we arrived, they made sure Cyberpunk was the game we would have the aptitude for, offering to switch to a different game if we felt we didnt feel confident in our puzzle and VR experience, before explaining the basic controls. The space was nice and the VR headsets were comfortable for the most part (I got a little warm at the very end of the hour). The Cyberpunk game itself was pretty good. Kind of basic futuristic puzzle game that wasnt too hard. It started off with a tutorial on the 4 basic powers youd have. Impulse (the yellow/orange power) was a little confusing. The description was something like Interact with distant objects, so we thought it was like a more ranged grab, but it was more like a ranged on/off power. Once the powers were figured out, there werent too many issues figuring out what to do.

Went with my husband and we had a blast from beginning to end. You get to dress up your avatar and then teleport into the VR experience. It feels like the floor is moving. Ive done a lot of real life escape rooms and was running out of them in Austin. Thankfully Virtropolis has so many to do! My partner and I played Cyberpunk and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners were SO nice and informative, and the experience was very fun! We played House of Fear (cursed souls) and Alice and both escape-room-style puzzle mechanics were very entertaining. The movement was much less of a motion-sickness for people in my group, so that was helpful. Alice was also very gorgeous art. Wonderful experience! The VR game was great quality, the controls are easy to use, and the instructions were clear. I wasnt quite sure what to expect but this exceeded all expectations. I WILL be back. My only negative comment is about walking in the VR world. I was not a fan of the trackpad and teleport feature and I feel it would optimize playing if walking was different. For example maybe a joystick or something that allowed for smoother transporting. But this does not take away from the game and I would still recommend this experience to my friends and family. Thank you!

This was one of the coolest VR experiences that Ive ever had, the owners were very knowledgeable and friendly! They explained everything to us in detail, made sure that we understood and even educated us on the difference between commercial VR and using out Oculus VR at home. The atmosphere was wonderful and the game that we played was amazing! My son has not stopped talking about how cool this was to do for his birthday and how he cant wait to go back again next year to play one of the games that he will need to be a bit older for! Hes also been telling all his friends about this place! We will definitely be going back, possibly even without the kiddos so that we can do some of the games that they are not quite old enough for!

This was my first VR escape room. It was a unique and fun experience. There was ample preparation before we put on the VR gear and a sort of practice room in the virtual space so you learned how the controllers allowed you to move, pick things up, and climb. I dont play video games much, and someone was there to coach me through (ie: I had to get closer to the book to pick it up). I felt confident heading into the actual VR experience and we managed to complete the room with time to spare. Parking is clearly marked. It was really nice to find a spot so easily on a Friday night. We made reservations and had no issues.

Everytime i try to come here they are closed. Despite what there hours say on the door. I came again today with my girlfriend and friends. Yet again, theyre closed. So we decided to go next door and play poker. When i came out....THEY TOWED MY CAR. And it wasnt even like their spots were full. I own my business and have reserved parking. I never once towed anyone. I either ask nicely or ignore it. This is absurd. What despicable business practices.

Not at all surprised to see hundreds of positive reviews. My interaction with VirtropolisVR was unusual. I made the conscious decision to park in a marked Virtropolis space and my car got towed. When I called the shopping center s towing vendor, the employee who answered told me he couldn t advise how to retrieve my vehicle and I d receive a call back. This was generally unacceptable, but particularly as I had a flight out of town in a few hours. I tried to call back once and was hung up on. I tried to call back again and Eagle Towing literally blocked my number. Given the urgency of the situation, I walked into VVR and explained my situation to Patti. I apologized for parking in her space and asked if she could call the parking vendor. Patti went above and beyond to try to help me retrieve my vehicle in a timely fashion. And this after I wrongly parked in a marked space! During the time I spent in her lobby, I also chatted with her about her business and witnessed her providing excellent customer service to her customers. I left really impressed with Patti and her business.

So many great things to say about this place... 1) it smelled so nice and clean 2) the owner was so kind and helpful 3) she takes extra steps for the comfort and safety of her customers, like using disposable liners in the VR headset and comfy rugs to create a different sensation on the players feet to avoid injuries. Me and my husband decided to have a date night and I chose VR because he s a gamer and neither of us have tried VR and I definitely don t regret it! The owner has such good energy and explained how to play and we never once felt rushed, she even let us go over with time by a little so we could finish. We tried the VR escape room experience for the first time. This was a surprise gift for our daughters 10th Birthday. She is into VR, and this was her first escape room experience. We totally had a blast. It was a bit overwhelming to follow the instructions of the game. But theres a small tutorial at the beginning of the game to get used to the controls. We played Mission Sigma, perfect for a family of four with 13 and 10-year-old kids. It was one of the few action-based escape room games that a 10-year-old could play. The owners did a fantastic job of giving us some help when we were lost (there are in-built clues in the game as well). Though we could not finish the game in the allotted time (5 min extra), we were able to complete it with extra time. But in the end, the birthday girl had the best birthday experience ever, and were glad we chose this place for her special evening. One thing to note is slight disorientation when you come to the real world. So if you feel uncomfortable, dont drive immediately. Our brains definitely need some time to adjust to the real world after 45-50 min in the VR world.

This place was amazing and way better than we expected. Our daughter wanted to try out a VR escape room experience for her birthday. Me and her dad decided to join in the fun with our daughter and her friends and our son. Patricia greeted us with a wonderful smile when we arrived and explained how the game would work. She took her time answering all our questions and got us all hyped up for our adventure. She and her assistant helped all of us get setup with our head VR and the controllers. They provided us guidance throughout the game when we needed help. It was so much fun once you got familiar with the controllers. We would definitely do this again and maybe try a different adventure. We did the Jungle Quest adventure game and it was the perfect one for us as we had some novices in our group. All the equipment was sanitized for our protection and the bathrooms were pristine. The place felt very clean. Their front entrance area was very inviting with comfortable leather couches and a nice open design. Everything went absolutely great. My daughter and her friends said it was the best time they have had in a long time. And I have to admit, even us parents enjoyed ourselves too. If you are looking for something fun to do with the kids or even for a team building event, this is a must try.

I will preference this by saying, I didnt personally go here. I sent my kiddo and their best friend here for their 18th birthday. They were nothing but smiles when they returned home. Both were saying theyd love to go back anytime. So, were already planning to go back for a family game night because me and their Dad wanna go so bad, lol! Im so excited this place is open here in RR. What a great way to spend time with friends and family out of the heat. Update: We went back with the kids and its just as fun as they said! We loved it! We wanna go back and play more games. The Prison was awesome as a group of four. We worked together really well. House of Fear was creepy, but less terrifying as a group than it would be with only 2. Cant wait to go back. Hopefully much sooner this time. :)

If you haven t tried a virtual reality game at Virtropolis you are missing out! You get to pick from 20 to 30 different virtual reality games. Then you and your team, in this instance it was just me and a couple of other people gather together in a room to place headsets on. You are then transported into a word of wonder and excitement. For an hour or so I felt so relaxed and on a completely different planet. It was such a pleasant experience. The game centers you in this world (I m sure there is a term for it but I m not much of a gamer) so you do not get dizzy at all. It was a great break from reality - I will be black!

We had our first (certainly not our last) visit at Virtropolis last night to celebrate my sons 14th birthday. We are a family of 4 and he was able to play a scarier game with his dad while his 10yr old sister and I played jungle quest in the same room. We all had a blast. The facility is VERY clean, warm and inviting. We were given thorough instructions and they helped immensely during our games. At first, I thought 45 mins of game play didnt seem to be enough but it definitely is. Its a bit of a work out but mostly a brain bender. We all had the best time and will be back soon!

Amazing! It was crazy fun. We did the entry-level Escape From the Pyramid. Like an escape game but in a VR pyramid- must work together. We didnt get dizzy at all. No lagging on the visuals. Details are awesome- hands, skin, etc. Owners are super nice. Since it was our first time, they let us past our time so we could complete the game because it took us a while to figure out things. Our teenagers loved it.

This was a very unique experience that combined an escape room and virtual reality. It was fun for the whole family. We had a group 14-50 years old. We all enjoyed it. It was an immersive experience the minute you put your head set on. Did two experiences, The Lost Pyramid and The Prison both were great and we escaped both (the owners gave us some extra time for the prison which was so nice) All in all it was just so much fun and different! We love the original lock and find escape games but this Virtual Reality was so real and very fun to look around and find everything. I can t wait to go back! The owner was also so nice and gave me and my boyfriend a lot of information that we enjoyed since escape rooms have become a fun hobby for us. The owner was super helpful, nice, and polite. She explained what to do and how things would work. She made the experience fun from start to finish. My son and I chose House of Fear. The game gear was easy to handle and maneuver. I screamed and laughed throughout my game time. I was a first timer and do get motion sickness easily but it did NOT bother me at all using the equipment (for those who have that issue). The place is clean and well maintained. We had a blast! I would recommend this place to anyone! It is worth your time! The owner even helped us find a good pizza place to eat near by. I will be going back to try one of her other escape rooms.
