OMG its open again. We missed this park when they were closed. The kids love it. We love going there. There is a trail from there which is amazing. Takes you to this mini water fall. There is some construction right now so sometimes you get the sewage smell. The kids love the playscape and the grass area to play in.

Playground: The playground was nice and upkept. However there were alot of components that were black so it was very hot for my toddlers to be climbing on. There were NO trees or structures to provide any shade over the playground itself so the kids and myself got very hot pretty quickly. Picnic area: The trees provided plenty of shade over the picnic table area. And the tables were large and concrete.

Awesome piece of history in Round Rock. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because as of March of 23, there is a lot of construction. It does look like it will be even nicer when they are done. I enjoyed being able to walk in and touch history. As part of the Chisholm Trail in the mid 1800s there were thousands of wagons and cattle that used the crossing. The wagons cut ruts in the soft stone that are still there today. You can even see them underwater. And the round rock was used as a water gauge to see how deep the river was. Its a must see if you like nature and history. Playground: There was a nice playground Dog-friendliness: There were several people walking dogs while I was there. Picnic area: Several places for a picnic

Cute, quiet little space by the waters edge with plenty of flat rocks lipping the side where you can sit and have a nice sandwich. The water is gorgeous and clear as a bell, you can see the small fish that swim near the edge in the shallows. Plenty of trees, but its not tangled, so there is shade and a windbreak. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch break here. Please pack out your trash, though! This little spot on the water is too pretty to be full of garbage.

Right now this park is closed for renovations and widening of the western end of the Heritage trail. Supposed to be completed in 2022. This small Round Rock park beside Brushy Creek is nice place for a short walk to the historic Round Rock, or the sculptures at Chisholm Trail park. There are also several historic buildings that are a short stroll away. There is a play ground and picnic tables and plenty of shade.
