We went with a bunch of friends and had cocktails and listened to a live band. We didn t try the food though. We danced and partied and loved the band and the place. Highly recommend if you want to go to a real dive bar.

Go back in time to the 70s. This place has been there forever and I hope it never changes. Cheap prices, pool tables, karaoke at certain times, even an old timey cigarette machine! You can smoke inside. Free parking in the dirt lot. May they never join the 21st century!

Our recent visit to the Road House Bar left us with an overwhelmingly negative impression. Regrettably, our experience was marred by the unsettling behavior of a bartender, which we can only describe as racist and offensive. As an experienced bar and restaurant reviewer with an extensive online presence, ranked among the top 1% in the entirety of Texas, I have encountered a myriad of establishments throughout my journey, having amassed an impressive 19 million photo views and 1 million review views; so when I say I was disappointed, it is not for some small argument. Upon spending a significant amount at the establishment, we were taken aback when the bartender made a distasteful remark to one of our friends of Indian descent, insinuating a connection between Vegas and potential harm to our friend. In response to this offensive comment, our friend inquired about the bartenders own experiences in Vegas, to which the bartender arrogantly claimed to have never visited. We spent $50 and won $47 (in the bar) and the bartender made a comment about how the Vegas people can break our legs to my Indian friend. Funny thing is, my Indian friend goes to Vegas in a regular basis and spends a lot of money there on gambling. Despite our friends intention to engage in a lighthearted exchange, the bartenders response was both disrespectful and inappropriate. Things took a further distressing turn when we found ourselves engaged in a friendly conversation with another customer about India. That customer was asking questions about India and my friend was giving him information and played a quiz quiz after that when the customer said whatever, dude after learning the city name, which was also racist. Surprisingly, the bartender intervened and asserted that it was rude to ask questions, promptly asking us to leave the premises. The bartenders actions appeared to reflect a clear bias, as he seemingly disregarded the disrespectful behavior of the other customer while taking offense at our simple query. So, apparently, the other customer coming to us (we did not go to him) and saying where are you from then disrespectfully saying whatever was not the problem. The problem was us(!), because we asked him where did he played in Vegas. We feel compelled to caution others against visiting this establishment, especially those who do not identify as white. Our unfortunate encounter leads us to believe that the Road House Bar may not be an inclusive and welcoming environment for individuals of diverse backgrounds. It is essential for any establishment to uphold values of respect and inclusivity, traits that were sorely lacking during our visit. *** If you are not white, do not go there. They will break your legs.

sounds to me like Scottie got cut off!! and as far as a 1% bar, at least you know where you stand! The roadhouse is an AWESOME smoking bar, one of the very few left. as a non smoker i respect people choice to smoke. the bar staff are amazing and work tirelessly for their earnings. one of the few original area bars. ill keep going there!

A local hangout with great prices. A relaxed place to have a drink. There is food, but the menu is very limited. The music was nice. When I was there, they were playing C&W music. My only turnoff was that they allowed smoking inside. Otherwise, I enjoyed my visit.

Was great until we had a $400 bar tab between 4 people! It is a dark dungeon and we were totally into it...until we werent. I think the bar snacks were overpriced...like $10 for grocery store taquitos and $15 for a burnt 1 topping freezer section pizza (I know...you dont eat here) They even messed up our payment and charged us twice. So we had an $800 trip to the bar which we had to call and sort out. We got to smoke inside and run our mouths while we played pool, however we wont be returning.

Would have been 5 stars, but I couldnt get into a restroom with my wheelchair, and my drink was mostly ice, so I didnt get much beverage. Atmosphere was nice, live music was great. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They allow indoor smoking, which was unpleasant for some.

Love the atmosphere. Love the karaoke several times a week. Only thing is PRICES KEEP CHANGING DEPENDING ON THE DAY! I could walk in and get 2 beers for 7 one night, then LITERALLY 3 days later i get charged about 12 for 2 beers! I understand times are getting tough, but a little warning would be nice. Whats stranger is days after a price change IT WOULD GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PRICE! Its not even just the bottled beer either. I love this bar, its just so confusing.

My son took me here a couple times when I visited him in Round Rock. Old school bar with live bands, nice outdoor beer garden, great bartenders and just down the road from the grave of Sam Bass. Lots of regulars and locals. Make sure you say hi to Mr.Wes at the end of the bar.
