We celebrated my 50th birthday brunch here. Our server was very attentive, and several managers stopped by the table to ensure we were well taken care of. They also provided us with a cake cutting utensil and additional plates to serve the cake on. The meals were exceptional with only one small issue. My meal included a guacamole chalupa. What I received was a fried tortilla round with a big glob of guacamole on it. The guac was very tasty, but not what I would call a chalupa. This issue wasnt worth bringing up and frankly didnt affect my rating here. All the other food was exceptionally prepared in a very short amount of time. I will certainly return and eat here again. Parking: The restaurant is situated amongst many restaurants, so parking may be somewhat limited during peak hours. You may need to drop off tour guests and park out back. Kid-friendliness: Very family friendly to well-behaved children. It is a higher end restaurant, so leave misbehaved brats at home.

Walked in at lunch today, was greeted and seated immediately and given chips & salsa. That was the end of the service experience. We sat there 20 minutes and no one ever came to take our order or offer us drinks. No more acknowledgment whatsoever, couldn t have been more than 10 tables busy. We finally just got up and left. As we walked passed the reception desk there were about 5 employees just hanging out. We told them we didn t get any service as we were leaving and they just looked at us like they didn t care. No one said a word. Unbelievable!!!!!! Update: Someone from corporate contacted me about this issue and was so kind and apologetic and sent us a gift card to invite us to try it again. Really amazing customer service.

We had a party of 5 and were very comfotable in the corner booth. Stephanie was our server and did a great job. Everyone enjoyed their food. The dishes we got were Chicken Tacos, Chicken Honga, enchiladas and two chimichangas which were one order. The atmosphere was pleasant. We were not rushed at all and enjoyed a good visit.

Ive been to this location couple of few times and never experienced excessive diaherria afterwards. The Mambo Taxis were great and everything was delicious, but later that night was a different story. I didnt think Cheese Enchiladas would be this harsh, but it was. Ill try this place one last time which I usually dont do.

We had the nicest lunch that was made so much more enjoyable by the sweetest server Michelle. She had the best sunny attitude in spite of the hectic lunch hour and was quick to our table once seated, making us feel as though we were her only diners. Mi Cocina is one of our go-to restaurants and we will certainly be back to visit with Michelle while dining on another fabulous meal. Vegetarian options: I am so used to eating with my meat loving husband that I pretty much order any dish and just have them omit the meat. But there are so many dishes that are vegetarian. On todays visit, I had the #8 from the lunch menu, which was beautifully presented and included 3 Tostadas: 1 guacamole, 1 queso and 1 bean w/cheese with salad on top. I always have salad added to the top of the other 2 as well. Perfect lunch! Parking: We arrived at what appeared to be a very busy time or many diners love Mi Cocina as much as we do! We parked just outside of their lot but it was a short walk back. Normally, while crowded, we always find a spot. Today was an exception since they have a very large lot.

Very very good food and excellent service! The only thing I could suggest is that they play some Calibre 50 4 of us had dinner, 2 adults and 2 kids, we paid $140.00. I will also mention that I had 3 margaritas So you should expect to pay around $100 for a family of 4. Please tip your server well!

This is our spot for a night out with my friends. We love their food and mambos are our favorite drinks. Waiters and hostesses are amazing. We never needed to call them for refills or anything else. Definitely recommend this restaurant but especially this location!

Food was just okay, considering the prices. Waiter was great when at the table, but inattentive regarding refills. It was very crowded, and people kept bumping into my chair when theyd walk by. The chips and salsa were great, as were the fajitas, but my husband didnt like his tex-mex dish. Food took about 20 minutes to come out but was hot and fresh when it arrived.

Ive been coming to Mi Cocina s for a while, and there was one point a year ago or so where I stopped because service was unreliable. Well for the past few months Ive experienced a delightful turnaround. Linda was my server in the area and she is always friendly, caring, and ensures I have what I need. The food has always been great, and that combined with the service has made up for long ago. The dorado tacos are excellent, chips and salsa delicious, and drinks great. You can get to-go drinks which is pretty cool. I highly recommend! Kid-friendliness: I can bring my kiddos here with no issues. They love the food especially the nachos.

I dined in your restaurant for lunch today with my boyfriend and his mother. Michelle was our server and she was wonderful. She first approached us with a warm smile and hello. She was very sweet and helpful to his elderly mother as she is 94 and walks with a cane. She was very accommodating with our special requests and checked on us often. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Michelle offered to pack my to go food up and brought it back to me bagged with extra chips and salsa. It was really refreshing to get such great service. I never mentioned to her that I ve been in the bar and restaurant business for over 30 years. I ve managed high end steakhouses and have owned my own bars and restaurants as well. She is exactly what you want in your server. We will be back and we will ask for her again. Great job Michelle!

This is my familys favorite restaurant. Its nice enough that you can go for a formal event, but not so pricey as to make it hard to swallow. The food is fantastic. Im slowly trying everything on the menu and I havent had one meal here that wasnt worth every penny and then some. They also have good vegan options for families that have dietary restrictions. This place is slowly going down hill. The last 2 times I ordered take out I was told it would be ready in 20 to 25 min. Show up 25 min later and still not ready. Takes more like an hour. Rice is flooded with onions for some reason now and the food is hit or miss. Bean soup is so salty. Chicken fajitas used to be great but just OK now. Charge a lot for cheese then refuse to fill it up. Potatoes for fajitas are undercooked and half the time they forget the pico and guacamole that come with fajitas. The chicken fajitas used to be cut so perfect now the meat is big chunks and doesnt cook even. Not sure if its under new mgmt or what. To go service and food continue to decline. Unfortunate because used to love this place and been coming for over 10 years.

I went to Mi Cocina for the first time in almost 2 years only to have the worst service and experience ever of all visits. Anita B was our server. From the start she served us the wrong beverage and got mad when asked to remake the correct one. She proceeded to be rude when taking our order and frankly I was tempted to just leave. She didn t even give us the opportunity to order a bar drink as well. All things considered we stayed and decided our meal and conversation was worth sticking it out. At the end of our meal she proceeded to basically throw my friends meal in the to go bag item by item. It was so uncomfortable that my friend and I could just stare at each other in shock. We used to go here almost weekly when we both worked in Rockwall and never have we had such indecent service. Especially for the cost I had much higher expectations. Thank goodness the food is still very good. I won t be going back after this experience. Totally ruined it for me.

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened. There have been many good servers but our server tonight, John, was excellent. He was busy but stopped by just the right amount of times, was friendly and professional. He never missed a beat. If he thought we were going to have to wait for anything he would explain why to us before it ever happened. Our order came out with a mistake and he noticed it before we did and replaced it right away. Both my husband and i agreed that John gave us the best service we have experienced here. Yesterday I had the most amazing meal I ve ever had at Mi Cucina, the Charro bean recipe is off the chain!! Plus I ran into my long lost friend, Paco, he was a manager for Gloria s for years, their loss, my gain!! You guys were super busy, the restaurant was full on Valentine s and Flor was fantastic! I appreciate a server who does a great job, and she handled our table of 4 adults really well ! My husband and I ate at Mi Cocina in Rockwall tonight. Xavier was our waiter. He was excellent - attentive but not hovering. The service he provided along with his pleasant demeanor elevated the evening into a truly enjoyable experience. The food was good and as a vegan I appreciate that there are several vegan options on the menu. Vegetarian options: I have had several of their vegan/vegetarian meals but the avocado tacos are by far my favorite.

This was the second time having mi cocina. My boyfriend treated me lunch at this location. Our waiter Brandon was absolutely amazing. He came to our table introduced himself and asked for our names, he not only remembered our names but he did with his other tables. Thats hard to do!! Well for me it is. He asked me if I ever been to any locations to eat He allowed me to order what I wanted, but went over the dishes that really made mi cocina stand out over other Mexican restaurants. I have never received such amazing service from a restaurant before. Mi cocina is very lucky to have an employee like Brandon. Every one should ask for him when visiting. You wont be disappointed.
