You know you are at a nice hotel when the lobby smells good :) My overall experience was great. Enjoyed relaxing evenings by the pool and watched the sun set over the water. Not to mention, there are several excellent restaurants, bars and ice cream shops a short walk from the hotel. Kroger is just a little over a mile down the road. If you are visiting Rockwall, this is the place to stay, you can t beat it!

Hilton Dallas/Rockwall lakefront is a beautiful piece of property. From the lobby, the rooms, dining and pool. Also the view from the bar is breathtaking. The front desk was very polite and professional. The whole team exceeded our expectations, especially Markus M, the F & B Asst Director. He was always checking in on my family and I to make sure our visit was exceptional. As well as other guests. He really goes above and beyond. We will definitely be staying here again.

It is a very nice place to stay. But I did not like the way they gave us the room we received. He did not gave us no kind of information like abt pool or checkout time or breakfast time start or finish. greet us the way we shouldve. Rooms: Very clean. Nearby activities: Close to lots of places. Stores and places to eat. Its perfect. Safety: I feel its very safe. Walkability: Oh maaan you have to walk to your car up and down the hill. Too much for me. Plus u have to pay valley parking. Food and drinks: It has a bar and a restart inside. Its very cozy.

This was our first stay at Hilton Rockwall. For the most part, our stay was a pleasant experience. Valets were prompt and was impressed that they ran to retrieve my vehicle at all times. Room was clean and I appreciated room service cleaning throughout our stay. Then came our second night. Upon return to room, found temperature at 75 degrees and called front desk. It was then I was informed by Robert that the AC was out throughout facility. He offered no reconciliation and or options to cool our room. I asked how long it would take for AC repair and he said indefinite. If it were not for being past 10 pm, I would have found another establishment. I asked to change rooms to a room with an outside door for ventilation and was obliged. Why was I not informed beforehand the AC was out? Why did I have to come up with solutions to accommodate my stay? Not what I expect from a Hilton resort. Needless to say, we did not rest well on our second night, not impressed with Robert and management of our second night. For future clientele, realize that the facility will not notify you of AC outages and will not take action until you mention AC outages. Update: Tried Hilton Rockwall again due to location and rooms. Improved experience on second visit. I received a welcome email prior to check in and was able to directly speak to front desk staff through text which hotel provides. All areas of check-in and check-out went fairly smooth. Hotel even accommodated to have fan placed in room upon my request. Would stay again.

On Aug 3-5th my wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Hilton Rockwall Resort. As Diamond members we are accustomed to the great Hilton customer service, but I must say this stay was OUTSTANDING! It all got started with a room upgrade to a suite that was so nice it had two separate bathrooms and an amazing glass walk-in shower! From the first contact email from Desk Manager Devinn Calloway to the outstanding individual care given to us from Manager Bobby Jones I must say this was our #1 favorite Hilton stay, so far! I recall my wife saying that This must be what it s like to be a celebrity! If you are a beef eater, then order the rib eye with the espresso rub in the Heirloom Kitchen. One of the best steaks I have had in quite a while and well worth the price! Thank you, Bobby, and the whole team, for an amazing stay and making my wife feel like the superstar she is! I am sure you will see us in Rockwall again and you can be sure I will ask for Bobby Jones! - Dewey

We booked a weekend at the resort assuming the facilities would be upscale however upon entering our room we realized how far off our expectations were. The room smelled musty. The shower doors were difficult to slide due to worn out bearings or wheels inside the track. We ordered room service one evening only to get a paper bag filled with our food in a plastic tub. No water no class. Overall I would call this a 10-foot hotel . Everything looks good from 10 feet away.

I called initially to ask a question the day before and was responded to in a rude tone I wrote it off as we all have bad days . The following day after asking if there was anywhere I could get coffee as there coffee area was closed. **Review for Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront** During our recent stay at the Hilton Dallas/Rockwall Lakefront, we had a mix of experiences that left us feeling a bit underwhelmed. Unfortunately, our stay started on a sour note when we discovered a little brown visitor in our room. While the front desk staff was nice and responsive, it didnt quite set the right tone for a 4-star hotel. One notable downside was that the hotel isn t reset every night in the common areas; I often found myself tidying up, which shouldnt be the case at this level of accommodation. The food offered was also subpar for a 4-star hotel, but I guess thats expected given the heat-and-eat approach typical of many hotel brands. To illustrate, we ordered their margherita pizza from the restaurant, and it was so unappealing that even my kids (8, 6, and 4) wouldnt eat it. We ended up ordering Pizza Hut for the save! The pool area, although appealing, was always packed. To add to that, the hotel charged a fee to rent the cabanas, which seemed a bit much. Moreover, the bathrooms were quite disappointing, adding to the list of things that fell short of expectations. For the same rate, you could stay in a lakefront hotel in Barcelona with true 4-star amenities. Considering all this, I would recommend opting for a 3-star hotel and managing your expectations accordingly. Walkability: A bunch of restaurants next door

The only thing somewhat appealing about this place I guess is the Lakefront but it s really not that nice. The rooms are basic, nothing that stands out or wow factor for the amount they charge a night. Same quality room/bed you d find at a motel 6. Bathroom has large units of soap instead of individual use ones which just screams unsanitary. It s technically labeled a resort and because of this you will pay for EVERYTHING. Your rate when you book the hotel is just for the bed. You have to pay for parking, wi-fi, all drinks and food, even though it s a buffet that s been sitting out for 2+ hours. Even lower cost hotels have some kind of free breakfast. It was our first stay at a Hilton and I m sure it ll be our last. Just big turn offs everytime you turn around. Also this hotel is dog friendly, which isn t an issue until people are obviously leaving them in their rooms and they are whining and howling at night. Staff is hardly existent and one s that are encountered are neither welcoming or inviting.

ADELE! At the front desk!! Amazing customer service with such an awesome smile! She went out of her way to make sure our every need was met to perfection!! Hilton is BLESSED to have her! Give her a raise! I am, however, extremely disappointed with our room. I thought by reserving a Resort View we would not spend 5 nights looking over a ROOF. It was our 50th Anniversary. Not good. In the future the reservationists need to state to be more specific as to how a room is reserved. Not just a Resort view which really is deceiving. Food and drinks: You REALLY need to offer a place for afternoon coffee! I tried to find a cup around 4pm for an afternoon pick-me-up but The Market was closed and so was The Heirloom Restaurant. I was told to ask at the bar. So .at the bar I was told Restaurant is closed but if THEY LEFT ME ANY I will bring you a cup! Fresh much? NO! Not everyone likes afternoon cocktails but prefer afternoon coffee!

Room: The room was very nice. Hiltons quality is as always great. Good toiletries, good amenities (fridge). The pillows were soft, but still firm. The sheets are their standard sheets they use for all the hotels. I dont typically use the TV, so I cant comment on that. The Internet was very good as well, albeit I paid the daily premium to use it. The shower was okay. This is the first Hilton shower where I didnt have an issue with the door, but Hilton isnt know for having high pressure shower heads. The thermostat was good, but a little slow to drop the temperature. Finally, the view was gorgeous. Great scene off of the lake. I wish I did more research and realize they do have an active DJ playing music you can hear from your room until 10 PM, but that was on me for not looking more closely into it. Service: Service was absolutely terrible. Customer service does not communicate with anyone. I called to ask if I could check in early, and they replied that they would get in touch when the room was available. I didnt know the room was available until I checked my Hilton Honors app. I tried calling in-room service multiple times and no one would answer. My after I while I would call the front desk. One individual was able to connect me to in-room service, the other two times they said in-room service would call me back which they never did. The food was good. I only ordered the Smash burger, but it wasnt worth the price. You would do better going to the Rodeo Goat which is a 5 minute walk. The waitress at the Heirloom Kitchen was somewhat rude when I was asking specifications on how the prepaid breakfast worked. Finally, when I left the valet didnt offer any assistance with my bags. He was just on his phone the entire time. Overall no one in the hotel had any hospitality service to give during my 5 day stay there. Location: The lake is beautiful, and its on a strip of bars and restaurants just off the shore. If you enjoy the night life, just go to Home2 Suites and drive up the road 5 minutes. The downside is that the traffic on I-30 is terrible and a hassle if youre going anywhere besides Rockwall. Rooms: Great room with quality amenities. Nearby activities: Bars, restaurants, boat riding, and fishing. Food and drinks: A variety of bars and restaurants on the lake shore which are great. Noteworthy details: Its overpriced, rude customer service, and non existent in-room service.

The rooms with the balcony are worth the extra expense! The hotel staff go above and beyond to make your stay one to remember! Enjoy the sunset by the pool, or the workout facility. Make sure to look at the events happening on Thursdays & Fridays during the summer months at the lakefront park in the back. Our local favorite restaurants: Rodeo Goat, Zanata, & The Dalrock Diner. Front desk not friendly. Valet very friendly and went above and beyond, the front desk could learn from the valet how to treat customers. The room was adequate. The bed was comfortable. Our view was an obstructed view of the roof, foe the price I expected more. Also, the door doesnt go all the way down to the floor so it lets on light from the hallway and you can hear and see every person that walks by. We put towels down and mostly fixed that issue. We were only given 2 towels so had to request more and did get them quickly. The water pressure in the shower was low but did enjoy the room in the shower and soap provided was nice. The hallway to our room smelled like someone dropped their cocktails and after two days the smell didnt dissappear. Nice size TV. Sheets were good. Room seemed clean. Biggest complaint is we paid $450 for two nights and then had to pay $30 for two nights of parking, so $480 for two nights while we didnt have electricity from the storms so a little excessive but we stayed there any way. I just feel for the cost of the rooms it could be better, more friendly front desk staff, better view, clean hallway and cheaper parking. We are a Hilton Honors member and stay at a lot of different Hilton hotels and we have stayed at some Cheaper locations that were so much better than staying here. I cannot recommend this location.

I drove out from California for a funeral. The location of this hotel is beautiful. The hotel itself is also nice. The rooms are clean and fully stocked. The housekeeping staff is amazing. They are so kind and helpful. My issue is with the front desk staff. They are rude and need how to treat their customers because this hotel isnt cheap. They allow dogs at this hotel. On my last night my neighbor had the most annoying dog. Barking and whining for HOURS. Causing me to wake up with a major headache when I called front desk 05/25 at 7pm the rudest lady answered the front desk and replied to my complaint well what would you like me to do WHAT????? I want you to control your guest and their pets. Im a paying customer just like the pet owner. I asked for a manager and Jose stated he was in charge he also was no help whatsoever. He stated that theres nothing he can do. This caused me to check out. They couldve offered points a voucher SOMETHING FOR THE INCONVENIENCE OF BEING WOKEN UP BY AN UNTRAINED DOG. This staff needs training on how to handle these situations. This caused me to leave with an unpleasant taste in my mouth regarding this hotel. My husband and I stayed at this Hilton for a little Birthday trip. The staff is great. The valets are very fast and the bartenders are great. This Hilton has a beautiful pool with a hot tub right in front of the lake. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are fine. We paid around $155 a night for a non view room on a weekday which we felt the price point was right for what we got. I will say if youre a larger person I would consider a room with handicapped accessibility as the bathroom is quite small and would be hard to navigate. The hotel bar is good and youll get a better quality drink there than at any of the spots nearby. It can get pretty crowded when busy but you can go to the patio once you order. The restaurants around the hotel could be better. We went to Giovanni which gave me a hockey puck for chicken at a $28 price point. Culpepper was just fine, it seems they have changed ownership recently and are less of a steakhouse and leaning more into texmex which is odd. All in all we had a good experience at the hotel I just wish the bathroom was a tad bigger. Oh yeah! The morning valet (I believe his name was Mohammed) was amazing! He let us borrow their umbrella when it was raining so we could walk down to the movie theater. Walkability: Lots of places are within a five minute walk. Food and drinks: We didnt eat there but the drinks were good.

Reserved a king bed suite on the phone for $315 was not told that there was a $50 fee as well. Will get it back but was not expecting that, so it took out of my wifes mothers day fund. Also the room was not worth $315 a night, looked like and was about the same size as a motel 6 room, just with a king bed. Also was not told I had to pay $16 to park in their parking lot which was not valet. Over all disappointing and not worth the money!!!!!

Great view of Lake Ray Hubbard. Sunsets are stunning. The lobby is cozy with a fireplace along with easy access to the pool area. There are cabanas as well as other lounge areas near the pool. Directly Lakefront, and easy access to pathways taking you to Rockwall Harbor and surrounding restaurants and entertainment. The rooms were very clean, including the bathroom. I am super picky about clean bathrooms, and this property was on point. The amenities in the bathroom are Crabtree branded and smelled pretty good. Countertops and shower areas are marble, and housekeeping was completed daily, which was nice. If you dont have a vehicle, there are plenty of restaurants and things to do near the property. Great for walks around the lake. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend.

I always look forward to the event because of our regular bartender, Hannah. She always has a great attitude and goes above and beyond with our group. Hotel is BEAUTIFUL, great proximity to the lake and nice boardwalk, where there is splash pad, benches, lawns, several restaurants, and a movie theater. Staff, particularly Mohammad and Robert were just THE BEST!! my only suggestion would be related to those with mobility issues, I was traveling with a friend who was really struggling. She called to reserve a wheelchair for the next day which seemed ok, but when it was needed, it wasnt available and because there is no check out type procedure no one knew who had the only chair or when it would be available. She decided to is the walker with seat as an option, but struggled with it, particularly when bad weather hard rain and wind stranded us at the restroom on the board walk. We requested security escort by golf cart but that was not and option, however...ROBERT to the rescue he came with an umbrella and carefully helped my friend with the walker (he was just great) which I was unable to do because of some restrictions I have following surgery last year. Im sorry this is so long, but I believe this instance deserves a safety review and offer these suggestions: Add more wheelchairs and a check out procedure for use Consider golf cart security rounding the property on a predetermined schedule and always during weather events. Rooms: Clean modern comfortable Nearby activities: Lake, boat rides, restaurants, boardwalk, splash pad, beautiful pool Walkability: If you are unrestricted the boardwalk is great, more consideration needs to be put into making it more accessible for those with mobility issues.

One of the worst experiences I have had with a hotel in this price range. The rooms were fine, but on the dated side. The staff is clearly cleaning and maintaining them well. The staff also did a good job with reservations, concierge, and setting up the room. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The real issue comes down to management. They are understaffed, largely because of the way they treat their people. It took ninety minutes to eat at their buffet, and I can see why no one wants to work under the conditions they are creating. We couldnt order water/coffee and ate cold food from mostly empty serving dishes. Then there is Bobby. Bobby was a problem to a degree that is hard to explain. I watched him get on staff for things that werent their fault, then glare at the guests because they didnt sit where he wanted. He was weirdly rude to me and my party as well as the total strangers next to us. Its rare to bond with other guests over how bad a middle manager is, but I guess it was fun joking around with our new friends about our frustrating past managers and how wed never want to work for a Bobby again. He is one of the biggest issues with this restaurant/bar. Its clear his staff sees him as a bully. Moving him to a non guest-facing position is the only way to handle someone who treats people like this. Hilton, please move on from this rude incompetent middle-management child. Nothing but applause to his hard working people who try so hard under someone incapable of doing the job. We wont be back, and you should choose somewhere that creates a better atmosphere. As an aside, the area is quite nice, and the common areas have been recently renovated. The lake is great. There is so much unrealized potential here.

There was a tick in my room on a washcloth. I noticed it when it fell off of the washcloth when I wiped my face. I reported it when I checked out, and the woman at the front desk told me she would tell her manager and comp my room. She also said the manager would call me. I actually got a call from the housekeeping manager who apologized, but never heard from the manager who was supposed to call me. When I asked the housekeeping manager about the comp, she said to call the front desk, which I did. I spoke to the same woman who was there when I checked out, and she said they were handling it. A week later, I still had not heard from a hotel manager, and I had not received my comp. After calling multiple times and not getting through to anyone because the front desk does not answer the phone, I was finally able to speak to a manager who said that Carlos, the manager of the hotel, would call me. He did, but I had to call him back three times before I reached him, as he did not return my calls. He then proceeded to tell me they would comp one night, and that is what I had been told. Its not at all what I was told. To me, its the principle of the whole thing - I wasnt given what was promised, and it was implied that I was lying. I will not go back to a hotel where Lyme disease is a risk, but I wouldnt go back, anyway, based on my experience with management. Location is good - food and bar were excellent. Otherwise, its a one star experience for me. As a lifetime Hilton diamond member, it was the first time in 20 years I have dealt with a tick and such inept management.

I had asked for a better room and had told the front desk that I come here every year. I got an obstructed view. I wish the front desk would take the time to know their returning customers. I also had teenagers in my hall slamming doors and running back and forth. A person shouldnt have to pay for parking either. As a bride who had her entire wedding stay at this hotel I will warn future brides to look elsewhere - specially down the street to the wonderful Marriott Spring Hill suites. My guests that stayed at the Marriott Spring Hill suits during my wedding absolutely RAVED about the employees and how wonderful it was. Go check them out! The way I am disgusted with Hilton during my WEDDING is beyond what you can imagine. The elevator was down for my entire wedding weekend. Guests with disabilities were forced to stay in rooms far from elevators, waiting 15+ minutes for elevators to come down because we had to use the service elevator - which by the way was absolutely disgusting. My wedding dress was totally dirty on the bottom before I even walked out of the hotel to take photos. I ended up changing into a different dress after guests were pointing out how black the bottom was. The manager on duty refused to help, apologize, take responsibility or improve on the experience guests were having. Absolutely mind blowing. The hotel you stay at for your wedding weekend should be the last thing causing you issues but instead from start to finish myself and my guests were blown away at the way this Hilton property handled itself. Checkout took 35 minutes and then another 15+ min to get our items from our room - since there was one working elevator for hundreds of people. Did I mention that the hotel is clearly trying to retaliate against me by charging me for the rooms robe because it had a stain . Keep in mind I was a bride that had my own bridal robe. The audacity is insane. This review could go on for pages but I will end it here with stay elsewhere for your wedding. *****We were even stopped from taking photos with my wedding photographer INSIDE my hotel and told we needed permits **** so don t be fooled that you d even be able to take pictures there. I asked Hilton to look into having my wedding dress cleaned even just the bottom and was told they are refusing anything of the sort This Hilton is individually owned and operated, matters concerning damage must be held at the hotel level. As corporate told me, so clearly the standard isn t held to the same regard.

We had an event at this hotel - while the staff were friendly and accommodating, they were disorganized. The communication was lacking -- it took a lot of time and effort to get an answer. The heating and air was not that great. The catering was medium at best, and their prices extremely high in comparison to another recent event that we hosted in DFW. However, the location and proximity to the Harbor Walk and shopping is really great giving plenty of dining options, services and of course shopping nearby. Im on the fence recommending this venue for events, there are many options in DFW.

Customer service severely lacking. I have never had such a terrible experience at a Hilton. Parking not being explained at all because it was too much trouble for the staff member and more important for her to tell me that Hilton chose to charge guests for parking because people from nearby venues were using their parking. Bad enough that there is a charge for it at all, but then an extra charge when we checked out on time but waited with my sister for her Lyft and ended up being 9 minutes after the 11am. Got an additional charge for that day.Seriously? Show me when and where there was anything at all explained about the parking. I had to inquire about the amenities that were discussed in an email to me as part of being a HHs member. An experience with a Manager the first evening when wanting to make a purchase at the store/coffee shop from the cold storage case. He was too bothered to look for the key to the locked refrigerator and told us he didnt know where it was so we should just go to the bar to get something to drink. If I wanted a drink from the bar, I would have gone there to begin with. We were sent to the bar to then have personnel from bar walk us back up front and grab the key from a drawer that the manager had been standing less than 5 feet from. She (Anna) was the only staff member during the entire length of stay who bothered to even attempt to assist us and actually she went above and beyond. 2 days in a row felt like an inconvenience at the breakfast buffet. Housekeeping neglected twice to refill coffee and cups in room. Had to call each day and took almost an hour to get the items. True disappointment especially given the amount of points I used on this stay. It is a beautiful hotel and location which is a shame that it is tarnished with staff that scream I dont care and dont want to be here. Rooms: Clean and spacious. Could be kept up better though. Vanity in bathroom really needs an overhall Nearby activities: A ton of interesting restaurants neaby Food and drinks: On site restaurant is not worth your time unless you enjoy being an inconvenience. Hotel is nice and rooms are comfortable. The biggest problem this hotel has is their absolutely ridiculous parking situation. $15 for 24hrs. Ok, it sounds like a money grab because we are literally in a neighborhood, but ok. Then when you try to park the gate system is a disaster. Scan a QR code, text a number, get a link, add payment info. Then you find out that they have over half the parking blocked off for valet and you have 5 flights of stairs to walk up to the available parking. Then any time you leave you must use the original link and phone to text another number to open the gate. Lost the link? You re not going anywhere. Not the person who drove the car in? You re not going anywhere. And there is a $0.99 convenience fee for their trouble. The absolute WORST way to start a stay at a nice hotel. Total joke.

Was this engineering design approved by the fire marshall? Walkability: Not enough handicapped parking spots - a lot of walking

Unfortunately when we came the hotel had some water problems but did not accommodate us I have dinner reservations just got off the plane and no water couldnt brush my teeth they didnt offer me bottled water or anyting I call down to the desk three times or talk to a young lady to ask where is there other things that I could do Im sorry I am talking I dont have a period In here for a sentence but I just never had that happen to me in the Hilton hotels and its about to change my whole plan that Im only here for two days ... beautiful location staff was professional very pleasant but just not having no water and not doing anyting to accommodate I dont care that I am here for the job the job pay for the Hilton so that I can have everything and you charging us $132 to ninety-nine dollars and I cant shower I cant brush my teeth I can wash my face. then my husband is getting a rash and I dont know if the rash is from the hard water or is the rash from the sheets from the detergent but I can say that Im not satisfied Im not happy at all. He too much of a gentleman to even say anything but this is ridiculous
