Henry made fun of my disabled wife and called her hot wheels because she s in a wheelchair. *UPDATE* 9/11/24- I arrived and was told Henry is still working here. I m disappointed that corporate hasn t taken this matter seriously. This was my favorite hotel to stay at. I hope you re able to make the staffing changes that would be more accommodating to the handicapped.

Bedbugs. Everything else was great. The hotel is clean, breakfast is ready on time and fully stocked. The rooms are clean and well stocked. This hotel is very busy and has a lot of different travelers in and out so just check your bed. Pull back all the covers and the fitted sheet or tucked in sheets all the way to the mattress and check all the creases and then pull the top mattress away And check for any bugs. If you see anything then, just talk to the front desk. The front desk and the management were very understanding and cooperative. I sincerely think that this hotel wants you to have a pleasant experience. Rooms: The room had bedbugs. I stayed in room 315. When you read the reviews and someone says that they have bedbugs believe it. I learned the hard way.

Met with a smile and received superior service initially. However, there seemed to be a decline in service over the next few days. Room servicing was NOT a problem (i.e., towel replacement, trash removal, etc. etc.), but it took a few hours to receive maintenance on broken equipment in the room. On two of the days, I awoke to the foul oder of what to seemed to be someone smoking a cigarette while in the restroom. The order was so prevalent that it caused nausea. The trash bins overflowed onto the surrounding floor. The pools PH level was not checked which caused it to turn green. Once the pool was service the PH level was still incorrect and caused some burning to a friends eyes and skin. The parking lot was messy, there were rocks and debris left about lending to an unkept appearance of the facility. It is however centrally located to quite a few retail stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. One of Hampton Inns best qualities is its walking distance to food and coffee. Rooms: The rooms could use a look over. The room I was in seemed to have a leak from the bathroom above. The foul cigarette and bathroom smell, our friends room smelled like mildew and mold. Nearby activities: The hotel is in a prime location to find restaurants to enjoy. Whether you crave fast food, or you would like to sit down in a quiet environment. Grabbing a drink is easy as well. There are a few establishments that sell drinks for adults. Safety: The internal and external doors worked properly which allowed for easy access. Elevator was serviceable and the inspection is current. Walkability: Although I am partially disabled, I can honestly say that traversing the facility was easy and trouble free. Food and drinks: The hotel has an area that provides drinks, and small travels items. I cannot comment on how often items are available, but it did seem to remain fully functional during my stay. Noteworthy details: This hotel DOES provide breakfast in the morning. You can enjoy juice, coffee, tea, oatmeal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, toast.

This review is based on a stay in May 2024. Let me begin by saying, it should be mandatory for hotels under construction to provide 3rd party booking sites with this info. This experience was definitely one of the most disappointing. The best part of the stay was the comfortable bed that provided a good night s sleep. The service was poor, the pool was drained, the breakfast was sub sub par and the coffee maker setup in the bathroom was questionable. Who makes coffee in the bathroom?? As for breakfast, please consider breakfast meat options other than pork. The location was great! Minutes from Lake Ray Hubbard. With so many hotel options, Hampton Inn you need to step your game way up! Noteworthy details: If your hotel is under construction you should note that very important detail with 3rd party booking sites.

We stay at Hampton Inn when traveling because of the great experience we ve had in the past and trust that we know what we ll get. This one in Rockwall was like a Motel 8. They didn t mention that they are renovating the hotel when booking. The room was hot and humid at arrival. The bed we slept in felt like it was the original bed from 10 years ago. It was horrible. When I asked the front desk guy if all the beds were the same age he confirmed that they ve been here for 10 years but that they will be renovating. Not sure if that includes new beds. The coffee station , which I love in other locations, was bare minimum with cream and sugar only. Overall very disappointed with Hampton Inn.

Currently under a remodel. We almost stayed at the Hilton but opted for the economy hotel right off the lake. Big mistake! We were greeted by cheese slices and a shake in the fridge upon arrival. Which prompted a visit to the front desk to see if they had double booked the room. He said no, and we chalked it up to poor housekeeping. The last hooks in the blackout curtain were off, and we couldnt shut out the parking lot lights when we slept. To top it all off, the phone was unplugged when we went to set a wake-up call...kinda eerie. Advised the morning agent of the problems in the room. She noted them on the room card without a shred of acknowledgment. No, Im sorry or ownership of any kind. Not what Ive expected or encountered at most Hamptons.

It s convenient and affordable, but the rooms are very dated. As a diamond member I asked for a couple of waters, but was told that they only provide waters on the first night and they couldn t help as this was our second night. I ll be at the Tru across the street from now on. Much newer and friendlier staff

Enjoyed my stay at the Rockwall Hampton inn. Was working in the area for a little less than a week. Check in was very easy and the clerk was helpful. She allowed me to check in a little early since the room was available. The room was clean and comfortable. The only complaint I had was that the TV wasn t able to change input to use a Roku. Internet worked well and the breakfast was a little better than average. The location is in a good area and it s not far off of restaurants and places to shop. It s also located next to the interstate for easy access. During my stay I found the room to be quiet and the parking lot was very spacious. I read some negative reviews before I arrived and was a bit reluctant, but found none of those reviews to be accurate during my stay. I also stayed at this location in fall 2020 and was just as happy then.

Went down for soccer tournament. Booked in advance. The rooms were clean. For the first time was able to walk down a hallway and not smell weed. Breakfast was good. The only bad thing is there was not enough conditioner in the shower ( not sure if my teenage kids used it all or what)

The hotel staff appeared to be gracious and the room was comfortable enough. However, the hotel and its furnishings are in desperate need of an upgrade. For example, our room had a cracked toilet seat, the tub faucet was pulling out of the wall, the upholstery on the chairs was stained and worn out, and the finish on the wood furniture was in need of repair. Not the best Hampton Inn that I ve ever stayed in. Food and drinks: There was a very nice steak house adjacent to the property which we enjoyed. The hotel breakfast was okay.

Stayed 4 days during job training. Room was very clean, bed & pillow are comfortable, the selection for breakfast was a wide verity, food was good. Only issue I had was the remote for the TV wouldnt turn TV on, only off. The guide on the TV didnt match what was on TV. But was not a big issue.

We normally stay at Tru by Hilton and while this hotel is in the same network, its definitely a different experience. Normally at Tru, we have multiple options for USB and outlets for different supply sources. Not here. There were outlets only on one side of the bed which didnt work. The next closest outlet /power option was the desk across the room which is where I had to charge my phone/laptop. The tiles in the bathroom were loose in some spots which made some weird noises when we stepped on them. Normally we have plenty of towels and rags in the bathroom but here we only had enough for one for each person. The TV doesnt have an option to log in to streaming services which is an option at Tru. Hilton app has an option to use a digital key and I have used that many times at Tru locations but this was the first time that it didnt work. I had to go back down to the front desk where was told sometimes they dont work but when I walked by the laundry room (where I can also use my digital key from the app) it worked there just fine. It was just something about my room I suspect. So we were given physical card keys. The room felt outdated overall whereas Tru definitely feels more modern. We chose this location over the Tru across the street because it was slightly cheaper but we will choose Tru over any other option from now on. The location is great and the staff seem friendly. But the room quality is most important to us and it fell short of our normal expectations.

A bit tricky to figure out when heading east on I-30. Ample, lighted parking. An unpleasant air freshener odor is present in the lobby area. Check-in was gracious and efficient. Decor is worn & needs refreshing. Probably the original drapes, carpets, etc from when the hotel was built. The bed was probably a 2-star; mattress had very little softness left. (Woke up kinda stiff.) Sink wasnt draining well. They added chemicals, which worked for a few hours. Phone was non-functioning & replaced. HAVC worked well.

I had a great time at this Hampton! Gayla, the manager on duty was so pleasant and friendly when we first arrived! She was very attentive and considerate of our requests! When I asked for the location of the laundry room, I was answered with a friendly reply to the question; which was the second floor at the end of the hallway. I had passed the sign multiple times and she could have easily rolled her eyes and given me an answer but hadn t, and was very professional in her mannerisms. The cleaning staff and kitchen staff have been excellent and provided delicious food and a clean room to come back to after a long day out! I am very pleased with my stay! Nearby activities: Oasis Pickleball is ten minutes away and it is an excellent facility for family and friends to go play!! Food and drinks: Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse is next to the hotel and the staff is Gina me friendly and the food is delicious along with the hibachi show!

Fantastic hospitality during my long term stay at the Hampton Inn. Your staff, in general, made a challenging situation as hospitable as possible. Even when I was more maintenance than I wanted to be, they were exemplary from a customer service perspective. Gayla, in particular, was the attendant on duty that I interacted the most with, and she truly made the place feel as home as one could in a situation like mine. Shes great with guests and has the patience of a Saint. Ive moved to the greater Rockwall area, and I hope to be able to stop by and see your staff as much as I can. Thank you so much.

This was the best hotel I have stayed in , in along time. The bed was so comfortable and when I first walked in the room it wasnt freezing cold like at 68 degrees. It was at 73. Very comfortable. We were treated poorly by the staff. Family members came to visit after checking in. We were sitting in the lounge. At 11:00pm they told us we were no longer able to sit there but we re welcome to sit outside. There is no patio per se on the grounds. So we sat on the curb under the entrance awing.

Disappointed in our stay here. The facility in is desperate need of a renovation/face lift. The gym was small, the breakfast was average, and the facility was HOT. We were able to keep the room cool, but it was weird that we controlled it from the unit not a wall thermostat. Digital key wasnt issued when the room was ready after checking in on the app. Havent has this issue... was staying at Hiltons across the US for the week on a road trip. Front desk had a ton of excuses as to why I needed to see them or do xyz and thats why the key wasnt working, which didnt make a ton of sense but we moved on from it. No system is full proof. Found a GIANT cockroach in the room on the first floor. Reported it to the desk as we were checking out (saw it as we were packing up) and it didnt seem super alarming. There were also dead bugs all over the inside of the light fixture in the bathroom. I stay at a lot of Hiltons, and this was unsat. Employees I encountered seemed very nice.

We booked two rooms at the Hampton inn in Rockwall Texas. We always stay at Hampton or other Hilton hotels as they are known for their quality and cleanliness. This hotel is DISGUSTING. It smells awful, the pool should not even be opened, the carpets are disgusting never mind all the other red flags like the door being partially ripped on the outside and the roof looking in ill repair The Hilton name/reputation should not be associated with this dump. I m so disappointed. We would leave if it weren t so late and we could find another place to stay. I hope this review gets read and passed along bc this hotel needs new management or closed. I hate that we spent our hard earned money on this dive. Gross

I have read the other reviews on this place and can say, my experience was a good one. Theres no doubt there are updates that are needed. But I was informed theyre renovating next year 2024 or so? Not sure. Anyways, the room was clean, no stained sheets, no bed bugs or roaches seen, as other reviews mentioned. We were in this hotel for 2 nights. The only time Id say we might have had somewhat of an issue is when I booked online and requested a rollaway bed. The maintenence folks tried arguing about us not being able to have one, even though online booking confirmed my request. At the end of the day we were given a rollaway. So no issues. Water pressure was fine, all outlets worked and breakfast in the morning was great. I appreciate the staff and their hard work. Location is great! Youre tucked away, had no issues. And near shopping center! Between 5-10mins driving. Rooms: The AC worked great, Full-size shampoo/conditioner, plus body soap and lotion. Food and drinks: Breakfast provided in the morning is great!

Everything was wonderful staff were great and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was stocked and hot no matter what time wed make it down to eat. Coffee hot. 5 stars for it all!! I only gave the room 4 stars because there were a few places on the walls and carpet that didnt get wiped down from previous guests spilling but not a big deal. Its easy to miss small details when its busy. Not a huge deal to fuss over. Hotel was full my entire stay staff worked very hard all weekend. Other then that every thing was excellent we had a great stay and unfortunately had to leave early due to unforseen circumstances and did not charge me for the Un used days. Do not stay here. We checked in late and upon settling into the room my husband checked the bed for pests. (He used to be in pest control) The bed and headboard was loaded with bed bugs. We went up front and I showed pictures of it to the manager upon which he said calmly We just don t know why the bedbugs keep coming back . They ve had a problem for 3 years. Did not offer to find us another hotel or anything. He did offer us one other room which was next to the infested one. My heart broke for all the guests who were staying there not knowing the problem they were about to have with bed bugs. We left tired and upset. Hampton s are usually great places to stay and this one is in a great area. Sad they not only disappointed us but didn t seem to be too concerned.

Its the first hotel Ive been to where I had issues with outlets; either not working or hard to reach outlets from the other side of the bed, luckily I have a really long charger. The remote for the TV didnt work and one of the shower essentials was near empty so we ran out by the time our stay was over. That or the pump stopped working. Toilet also had issues flushing. Paper thin walls. Friendly staff, though!

This is the worst Hampton I ve ever stayed at. My room phone did not work and my toilet would not flush. I called the front desk from my cell phone and was informed they would move me to a new room once one was clean. Two minutes after the call, someone beats on my door saying they re Maintenance and here to fix my toilet. I informed him I was already told by the front desk that I was being moved and he could gladly come fix toilet after my move is complete. He then screams I can let him fix the toilet or leave because I m not getting moved due to having no rooms. This was completely contradictory to what I was told by Laura at the front desk. I later find out that the maintenance man was also the head manager named Henry. Please stay away from this property as they are rude, unprofessional, and clearly racist. The night staff was great but the day time staff was the total opposite. Don t spend your money here.

I go to a different state and different Hampton Inn every week. This is probably the grossest one Ive ever been to. The carpet feels sticky like it came directly from a movie theater with soda being spilled on it every day. Definitely one of those nightmare hotels that you have to put your shoes on when you get out of the shower.

Just one hour after I checked out, I found I left 2 necklaces on the desk and called the reception, they couldn t find them and very rude to hand up the phone while I was talking The facility is very old, mirrors door can t close properly! The worst experience I ever had all over the world!

the lady at the desk when checking in was on her phone playing a game the door was loud when we came in she heard us but i had to wait about a minute and then say hello can you help me! there was also a toddler being babysat both mornings when we were there she was a cute little kid but they mentioned they were babysitting while her mother slept? not sure what that was about but the hotel smelled so bad in the halls and in the room they were sold out so we could not move to another one, it was very loud and someone drumming in the wall next to us around 5am in the morning! i would not recommend this hotel unless you really need one and i wont be back!

Room was on the smaller side having 2 queen beds. Beds arent the best but passable. Pillows are horrible, you think if they put 4 pillows on a bed and theres 2 beds, that one should be able to find a good pillow out of the 8 in the room. But at least they are having hot breakfast again, although skimpy, but hot!!!

When, I arrived it was late in the night. The receptionist ask me if, I had reservations and I didnt, so she checked to see if any rooms was available and it was so she put me in. The room was 100.00 a night. Two comfortable beds. The room are spacious comes with microwave, fridge, coffe maker, computer desk and chair, and the bathroom is spacious. They provide mouthwash,shampoo, bodywash. Breakfast is included and it was good.

Had a Handicapped room, very disappointed. The shower seat was pulling right out of the wall. The water from the shower was all over the floor which made it very slippery to walk on, used all the towels to clean up the water.

Beds were good size. Room was clean, but few toiletries, 2 towels for 4 people, barely 1 roll of toilet paper. Out of bars of soap. Breakfast was okay. The usual scrambled eggs, smoked sausage. Waffles had a lot of topping decisions to add. Fridge was broken so everything was out in ice. Was not one of the better Hamptons I have stayed at.

This had to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life! Kaveen states that he is the owner of the hotel and shows worst customer service then his employees. I did it over the phone reservation for someone else I was never sent a call authorization form once my client arrived to the hotel they informed her that she had to use her personal cad because of their mistakes. They ended up charging my card and her card without even having my authority and explaining that they could not use my card because of the form not filled out. When trying to correct the issue with the company the employees lied about who was the manager and who was present at the time during the call. The owner was very hostile and show little to no concern about the inconvenience that the company caused me and my client. He also informed me that there was no reason to report him because he is the owner so nothing matters. I pray that this company goes out of business for it s a poor reflection of the United States as a whole.

I found this hotel because- I was verbally attacked by a general manager at the Tru Hilton (in front of my daughter and grand daughter) and he cancelled rooms for all three of my family units that we booked months in advance! I had no time or idea where to reserve something close by. I called the Hampton Inn hotel and they immediately made me feel at ease. They booked me immediately and even helped me locate the hotel via phone. They stayed on the phone with me until I got into the parking lot because I was crying, afraid and shaken. I was crying when I walked in and still visibly shaken. A young blonde girl at the desk, I think her name was Maria, was very kind and quickly made me feel secure. She made sure they had two more rooms for my two other family units arriving the next day! The pool area is in need of some repair...but the hotel was in great shape, very clean, and welcoming!!!! We felt comfortable having children in our group staying there. WE WOULD DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN. Maria was our first impression and she absolutely represented the Hampton in a bright shining light!!!!! The owner has a true asset in her!

Hilton should reconsider allowing this hotel call itself a Hilton property. The front desk staff are unaware of the Hilton Honors program, the room we stayed in had repair patches on the wall that were unfinished, the tub handles and faucet were loose, front desk attendendant not present at the front desk, the business center printer was out of ink( omg ) - no spare cartridges available- and the room was outdated. This the quality I would expect a Motel 6 or cheap motel off the highway, not a Hilton branded property. On the bright side, many restaurants are available within walking distance
