I m an avid park enthusiast and even bigger wildlife conservationist enthusiast. I m looking for volunteers to help me contact property owners to help clean up this park from an overwhelming amount of invasive species that is mostly keeping wildlife out. Poison ivy , snail seed, and invasive ligustrum everywhere and will eventually choke back anything native in the next 5 years . With that being said, the trails are simple, small, the park has a beautiful rolling grass field, a small pond and plenty of gazebos . It s very cute and I enjoy a quick trip here daily . There are some native flower areas and then forced butterfly gardens that are properly contained . Signage is new , not very much trash or negligent visitors . It drains well after rain as well. Fees: No cost Toilets: No restrooms Dog-friendliness: Dogs not recommended

Almost always muddy. Just know that if the trail is soft at all when you leave the parking area, you are going to eventually get to a large part of the trail that is underwater and unwalkable. Other than that, a pleasant place to spend a little time and enjoy some peace and quiet.

Very good length hiking trails in the woods, unpaved. Some areas not maintained as well on the trail (has to move branches or weeds, brush, etc.). For the most part a good trail wide enough for one to walk. One area did get very narrow where we were brushing weeds, branches as mentioned. Not handicap accessible trails, not paved. No restroom, but did have covered bench areas and water fountain including dog level. No picnic tables at all. Trash can was available. Dog-friendliness: Dog water fountain

Very neatly tucked away into the neighborhood. Lots to see. Beware of the snakes and poison ivy though.

I feel like the park isnt maintained at all. Trash like masks and bottles were on the ground. The part that you could walk was nice. Shaded.

Feels like youre just taking a walk in your own backyard. No man-made concrete trails (love) and very peaceful. Private, yet close enough to the road that you feel safe. I took a few pictures, so that someone who has never been here may get an idea of what its like. It really is just thin woods with a wide walking trail. I also included a few pics of the drive into the preserve.

A nice little get away close to home. If you are near here, and Want to get away if even for just a few minutes check this place out. Its a pleasant walk, and if you are quiet, you and really look around, you will see a lot. A bonus, there is lots of shade out there, so those hot summer days wont be so bad.

So beautiful! The butterflies were out today and there was really good information about conservation of Texas wildlife on the board next to the wildflower patch. Great place for an afternoon stroll!

We had a very peaceful walk in the woods. It was cool and shaded. It took about 15 minutes to walk all the way around. You can t get lost, just follow the main trail all the way around the property. Fun and easy hike with the kids.

Very secluded even up against the squabble creek trails. Not very long, but a place you can forget about the city for 30 minutes and watch the wildlife.

A nice, simple trail walk near Walgreens on the north side of Rockwall. There is a gravel parking area, water station and dog poop bag stand with bags and a trash can. There was one completed trail and at least one incomplete trail so I think the trails are still being built. Hopefully there will be more than one. The one completed trail was about half a mile according to Map My Run.
