Hubby, mom & I went in on Thursday. Service was good no complaints although it seemed like they could have had more staff just cause the waitress had 5 other tables along with ours. We were very disappointed with portion size and temperature of food. We love our food steaming hot especially home cooked food. They were $17 plates, we weren t looking for exaggerating sizes but good grief I could have finished my corn and mashed potatoes in 2 and a half teaspoons. We were told that since it was a popular dish, it finished fast (wish we knew before we ordered it). I waited for the manager to come by and ask how everything was but she never did come around to us. She asked everyone around. I did inform the cashier cause she did ask if we enjoyed our food. She apologized on behalf of Cracker Barrel. Not too happy CB. So sad -Cracker Barrel ;(

I ordered the meatloaf and my friend had chicken fried chicken. Both of us enjoyed our meals. Our waitress could seem to remember anything we asked for. I requested an apple juice and was given tea. She had to go back for the juice. I asked for to-go boxes. She brought one. I guess we were supposed to share. I requested separate bills and she put them together. Not the best waitress!!

Cracker Barrell was, at one time, my favorite restaurant. I purposely went on a Thursday because that at turkey & dressing day. While the turkey was good, the dressing was dry and tasted like stovetop stuffing. I would have asked for more gravy, but the waiter was overwhelmed. I also found the pi to beans to be tasteless. I was very disappointed.

Rockwall location has lost a step or 2. Service not so good. WE waited zo be seated for a kong time....NOBODY...no person...checking people in. I finally walked in and got a chair for my ailing/lame wife to sit on while we waited for a check in person. All kinds of wait staff inside restaurant saw us, saw me get a chair from empty table...just nobdy to check us (and the other 10 or so people waiting) IN. The place wasnt more than half full. Ohr orders came pretty quick AFTER we were seated. Food was just OK, not near the quality nor quantity of C.B. in previous visits. Given service issues and food issues, we likely wont ever return to Rockwall location. Price to value way overstated on the PRICE side.

Dined at this location numerous times since it opened a few years back. Food has definitely taken a nose dive since our last visit. We both ordered the grilled chicken tenders along with the hash brown casserole. The quality and taste of the food was subpar and the portion sizes also appeared to have shrunk. The biscuits, though, were good. Paying $35 for 2 including tip was way too high for what we received.

I had old soggy meatloaf, with a side of vomit flavored mashed potatoes. I m not a picky eater, and always finish my plate; however I couldn t finish this. Idk how they messed up making such a simple meal but they managed to somehow. I don t think the food must be very fresh, or maybe they just suck that bad? Idk. The appetizer was pretty disappointing as well. Not to mention the water tasted slightly moldy? Idk how else to describe the taste of it. As for the service, the waitress rushed us and kept asking if we re ready to order 3 different times within 10 minutes even though we kept telling her that we still needed time to look over the menu. The price was a rip off too (luckily we had a gift card): $41 just for a few pancakes 2 eggs and bacon, and then my mystery meat loaf with 2 sides. The appetizer was a very small portion, and then 2 drinks. Definitely did not expect all that to be $41. I would avoid this Cracker Barrel location.

Been bragging to my wife about how good the food was (at every location Ive been to, and Ive been to many) and we decided to stop. Food was disgusting! The service wasnt much better. Could barely understand what the waitress was saying, not because it was loud, it was her accent. Im not making fun of it but she would be better off in another line of work. Either Russian or German accent and very demanding. Could see and hear her complain about other tables and lack of tips. Heres a tip, thats when you be quiet, not when your explaining how something is made. Also the restaurant was not busy and fairly dirty for a Friday morning. Not going back!

I used to love your turkey and dressing on Thursdays but this time the turkey tasted like something you would buy at a grocery story and the dressing was very dry with not much flavor to it. This location is not our favorite compared to the one in Greenville. This location has different menu options, and their food and beverages are not as good. The only thing negative about the food is old oil for frying. We had a group of 10 people, and everything that was fried tasted bad. Things not fried were good. We loved the servers. Tremendously friendly and helpful. Even other customers were friendly. This is starting to be rare these days. I had the chicken fried chicken. The sides were great, but the chicken tasted like old oil. Mom said the same about fish.

First time trying out Cracker Barrel and I have to tell you, I m impressed. They have large portions of really good food for some better prices than other places. My fiancée and I ordered so much food and only paid like $50 and we have lunch in Togo plates. Not to mention the waiter was amazing. I never ran out of my drinks and I was extremely thirsty. We took a walk down the shop inside and we got some goodies. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Forgot to take pictures but the food looked amazing and smelled even better.

Thanks Cracker Barrel for ruining my Mothers day brunch! I chose to brunch at Cracker Barrel today for Mothers day and it was the worst decision! First off, the service was horrible. Our server kept rushing us to leave. We just got our food and he already gave us our bill and asked if we needed any to-go boxes when we havent even ate yet! Then he doesnt know what hes doing. We ordered the loaded hash browns casserole tots and it was supposed to come with ranch but it didnt. Then I ordered the stuffed cheesecake pancake breakfast and I was really looking forward to that, but when he bought it out, there were no strawberries, powdered sugar, or whipped cream! Look at my picture. I asked him about the strawberries and whipped cream and he said they are out. I told him why didnt he tell me that so I can change to a different entree? So he panicked and went to the kitchen and found some strawberries but no whipped cream. Lastly, the eggs were supposed to be scrambled but they were runny and undercooked when he bought them out. I know this wasnt his fault but the cook fault so please tell your cook that scrambled eggs are supposed to be cook all the way, not undercooked and runny. Look at the picture. This place was horrible and dropped the ball on so many things that it ruined my meal. People, dont waste your time and money here!

I had the southern fried chicken and the skin was overcooked, my mom had the roast beef and it was just barely warm and the rest of our party had pancakes and French toast and the syrup tasted bad like it had been overheated or something. The server has very sweet but kept forgetting things, for example we asked for apple butter and never received it she seemed to be all over the place and then when we went to check out and I told them what I had they ended up putting someone else meal on my ticket along with my meal and I paid more than I should have. First off, Brittany asked for my name, which I gave willingly, but had to spell it for her 4 times, which I could make peace with easily if it was something unusual, but I think Troy is fairly common in the U.S. After that, it was more of the same: screaming children(not everyone wants to eat in church cry-room atmosphere)and wait staff that brings you one drink and you never see them again. Then, when you go to pay, its just like the post office or Wal-Mart, multiple registers, only one person behind them. In short, the food is good, the customer service leaves something to be desired.

The service was very poor. We had a party of twelve and the server seemed to have been overwhelmed...very forgetful. I can only comment on my food. I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and a salad. The steak tasted like it was frozen prior to cooking, the mashed potatoes tasted at least a day old, and the ranch dressing tasted watered down... when I put it over my salad, it disappeared. It has been many years since Ive eaten at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and it will be many years before I eat there again.

I went with my mother, step dad and child. 1st of all we are a mixed culture family of White and Hispanic. The woman that sat us placed the menus and paper bagged utensils on the table and said someone would help us but never placed them in position per service just bunched up there and I had to do it. We were waitered much later by a Hispanic waitress who declined providing us with bread after we asked for it because it was never brought out to us as customary at other cracker barrels. She said our food was almost out and thus never brought us the bread which is not even for her to decide when us as clients are requesting it since they never brought it out to begin with but they did for another table...I noticed that in the tables against a wall or window is where somehow people of color were being placed and the very evident anglos were only placed in the center tables. An Hispanic helping the hispanics a black waitress with black customers and so forth...the food took forever to arrive my mother requested her gravy on the side and that was never received either thus her chicken fried steak was dry as a parrots beak and we were never even offered drink refills (one was actually drinking coffee and never was offered a refill as small as the cups are) overall Ive been going to cracker barrels my entire 43yrs and Ive never received such evident lack of service and definitely never been noticeably segregated at any other cracker barrel location. I will never go again nor my 4 grown children & spouse nor my mom and step dad and so forth... I dont care who serves us as long as its a good job done and we arent declined things which are common sense. I also know it wasnt just an us issue with us because I saw the black waitress serving only the black customers and white waitress only the white customers minus us etc.

This maybe the last time that we will come to this location. The service is extremely poor and very slow with one waitress serving military tables. No biscuits and gravy for appetizers anymore. The manager did nothing to help her one waitress and her appearance was that of someone who just woke up. We could hear the loud talking and yelling in the kitchen. It was so cold in here that people went to go get jackets. It took 5 minutes to be seated with no one at the hostess stand. Rockwall has been our home for 34 years and this restaurant does not represent well at all or at least for breakfast.

Its been years since last time we came and wasnt good experience but... WOW!!! I am delightfully impressed! The food was great, great flavor, color and it was extremely yummy. I am very happy! Honestly, cracker barrel is good. It just really depends on what you order. I ordered a burger with loaded fries and a loaded baked potato. The only thing is the burger was kinda bland, and the baked potato was undercooked, but their fried pickles were good. I do suggest yall try that whenever yall get the chance.

My family of 7 had the 11 AM lunch we ordered appetizers, waited for about 20 minutes. Waited another 30 or so minutes for our food, two people meal were served and the rest of the group waited 15 minutes longer for their meal, we did not receive the gravy for our meal and we re told it was not ready so we waited about 15 minutes longer for gravy , when the gravy was served food was cold and gravy was like greasy mashed potatoes and would not even fall out of the serving dish. Very disappointed and will not spend my hard earned money there again. $117.00 totally wasted they should be ashamed very bad service
