What a great menu! We went for the first time today. Had a couple different dumplings,, 2 kinds of soups, egg-rolls and dessert. Plus we had drinks for HH. Everything was well made with great flavors. Serves was excellent too. Highly recommend giving this place a try. We will be back.

Sadly, we had ordered the same cake before and know what it looked like! I double checked and was told its the same as online pictures. Well, didnt expect the same, but at least close to how it was:( Missing the old gentlemans product!!! Going to this restaurant since early 2000. Now seeing the cake is way different from the pictures Was told $38, ended up paying $48. Cant order another one on the same date.

Ive been coming here for years and I always come here for the pork soup dumplings. They make the dumplings from scratch and sometimes you can go and watch them making it! Last visit, I also had the twice cooked pork and it was good! Oily but not super oily and had a good amount of veggies. Pair these dishes with some hot tea and you got yourself a meal that leaves you satisfied with the taste and the large portions. Will come again!

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Our waiter, Aaries, was extremely attentive and genuinely went the extra mile. At some point we wanted to ask for extra small bowls and they noticed us looking from all the way across the restaurant and came to see what we need. When they brought the bowls, they noticed something very small wrong with one of the bowls and immediately took it back to give me a new one without me having to prompt them (I didn t even notice what was wrong with the bowl). We never had to wait very long for anything we asked. This waiter needs a raise! The food itself was quite good as well. The string green beans were some of the best I ve ever had, and the xiao long bao was impressive. In my opinion the mapo tofu was just alright. Overall though, food was definitely worth the price. Our host was very helpful and the overall atmosphere was great. I can see why it was so busy! Dietary restrictions: lactose intolerant

There was not a favorite during my visit because everything I ate, everyone I talked to, and everything I saw was spectacular!! Anna, my bartender made some great cocktails and delivered service at the perfect timing. Had I not sat at the bar I would have never known that the owner, who is 90, gets in at 2am everyday and hand makes all their baked goods. Including Moon Cakes! mid-Autumn Festival is upon us so its time to stock up!! I have no idea which one Ill try first of the eight I bought! For my meal, I had the Green Beans covered in a delicious sauce that Ive been told has soy and oyster sauce. Please dont be surprised that I picked up ingredients to try to mimic it at home. It made the dish! I also had the three-pack of Juicy Small Soup Dumplings. You can tell they are freshly made and the soup inside was so yummy!! I cant say enough good about this place. Its definitely going on my date myself rotation!

I have been coming here for years. We love the food and the service is always great, until today. I always order my favorite dish and I do not care the sauce that it comes with so I simply ask for the sauce I like. This has never been an issue in the past, until this weekend, when I was told I cannot change the sauce on a dish. I understand the intent of this policy, so that you are not getting major custom orders for various dishes. However in this case, you have to make the sauce for each dish every time you make it, so what is the difference in changing the sauce. I asked the manager to come over and discuss but they would not budge. They pointed me to virtually the same dish with the sauce that I wanted, but it cost $4 more and had tofu (which I did not want). I felt like I was being taken advantage of, especially, since I have been making this same request for years without any issues. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will have to consider if we will return or take our business elsewhere. Other than that, the food is top notch.

I really like this place and have been going there for years. As much as I enjoy Chinese cuisine, I am not a fan of dark meat chicken. Several years ago a server suggested that I subsitute pork for the dark meat chicken in the Kung Pao chicken. It was delicious and Ive ordered that way since. Today, the server said she didnt have a prompt for pork on Kung Pao chicken on her hand held device. Instead she had white meat chicken, shrimp, beef etc. I suggested she just tell the kitchen about the request, since theyd done it some many times before. Instead a woman whom I assume was the manager (or owner) came to me and told me told me they would not make the change, and in fact they make their dishes authentic and the version I wanted wasnt authentic. She acknowledged theyd made the dish that way in the past but wouldnt do it anymore. She then picked up the menu and told me she would help me pick out something else. I was surprised at first and felt like I was being treated like a child. then got angry and decided to walk away. I am not sure if it was computer issue or if I somehow got on the bad side of the manager. Definitely felt I was chastised for ordering something they actually recommended to me. Doubtful that I will go back.

Ok let me explain. LOL The place was clearly packed when we arrived on a Sunday lunch hour. We were hoping for some good dimsum which they lacked. Some of the hot appetizers did not meet expectations. I thought it was a fried egg roll from Panda. Huge, but lackluster. The Porkchop and Rice was promised to be panko-free by wait staff but it was dry as a bone panko-fried. A deconstructed minced beef with salted veggies adorned the jasmine rice but all it tasted like was the ocean. The soup we ordered Wonton soup, also ocean. Lamb Stir-fry was the saving grace apart from it tasting like Beef stir-fry but still ocean! Are we just so used to the less salty and much better restaurants in Dallas?

Ive been invited to join a group of friends, and as an Asian food lover, Ive been excited to go there. This place is located at a Plaza with China Town vibes (Chinese style entry portal columns with dragons and large statues of Chinese ancient famous figures at the main driveway). The restaurant itself has a bar, a tea/pastry area, and the main dining hall with an open kitchen view. The dining area is clean but gives one of those Asian open buffet places feeling. Our server was good and polite. Since the group met there specifically for eating dumplings, we ordered a few types just to share and try. Even though Ive been told thats this place is one of the best to eat dumplings, I personally didnt like the food much. Wontons and dumplings (in my opinion) were less tasty than those they offer as frozen food sampling at Costco. It will not be my first choice of place to eat Asian food in the future, even though, as I mentioned above, some people love it.

Literally gave my son food poisoning by serving raw pork in the dumplings, spicy chicken tasted like it was marinated in salt then bathed in even more salt. Poor review is due to the way management handled the issue. In no way did the health of patrons feel like a priority. The bare minimum felt like asking too much. I expected a higher level of integrity and was severely disappointed.

The sauce container is consistently placed in the bag on its side. Yes, it is wrapped in cling film, so it doesnt get all over the place, but that doesnt mean I enjoy unwrapping the liquid filled cling wrap. Weve joked about putting in the special requests Put sauce container upright, but that shouldnt be a special thing. My friend and I had a wonderful time at Jeng Chi. Although the place was very busy, the hostess quickly sat us down when we arrived since we made a reservation. Our waitress was very friendly and re-confirmed our large order to make sure she accurately captured. We ordered the curry chicken soup dumplings which were absolutely delicious. The pork and shrimp dumplings were also very tasty. We also ordered Dan Dan noodles, beef and broccoli, shrimp fried rice and crab fried wontons which all came out fairly quickly after ordering and very filling. The bakery offered delicious treats. The chocolate raspberry ganache was AMAZING!! I wish I bought another one. I would definitely come back here again.

As an East coaster looking for quality Chinese food, its been a challenge finding somewhere similar to what Ive been seeking or, at least not what Ive had since relocating. I was happy to see the 1700 5-star reviews and was willing to drive the 20 minutes to Jeng Chi, expecting the best. Problems started when I called and received a mgs saying voicemail wasnt set up so I couldnt leave a message. Huh? I thought I had the wrong number but after 4 calls, I gave up and battled an insane parking lot to find a spot I entered an empty restaurant and was greeted by a miserable counter person who looked annoyed. Im very friendly and let her know I was a 1st time customer. She gave me a blank stare. I wanted to order a simple dish, very common in a Chinese restaurant and she huffed and puffed with sarcasm, saying there was an upcharge. I didnt think a bowl of vegetables with garlic sauce was worth $15 so I had her add chicken for $2.50 with brown sauce instead of white. No brown rice in a Chinese restaurant? Ill deal with it. My scallion pancakes were dry (I ate a few in the car) and usually they usually come with a brown sauce for flavor. I threw them away. Check-out took forever, and she didnt know how to work the cash register. She barely spoke to me and I thanked HER for helping ME. I was so happy to find a place where I could sit and enjoy the genre of a Chinese restaurant but service was miserable, servers looked unhappy, and the food was less than stellar. ASK FOR NO MSG. I woke up this morning with a splitting headache. Im returning home next month and look forward to getting service with a smile and decent food at a reasonable price. I wont be back. Parking: Had to drive around several times. Ended up finding a spot far from restaurant.

This place has great service and good food. It was packed when we went, but we still got great service. My favorite would probably be the spicy dan dan noodles, they had a very pleasant peanut flavor but were not spicy at all. The green onion pancake was nice and crispy. I also really liked the jasmine tea. My favorite part of this restaurant is the amount of vegetarian options, and everything is clearly marked on the menu. I will definitely come back again in the future

The heart of Richardsons Chinatown. Fantastic service despite the wait during lunch rush! The waitlist is online so its easy to be alerted when your spot is available. The people serving food and taking orders are good-natured and chill, and the food itself is on par with some of the best Chinese and Taiwanese spots in Plano. I ordered the juicy beef dumplings, a.k.a. xiaolongbao/soup dumplings, and they were not scalding hot so I dont get to burn my tongue which is a huge plus, and also the fish with tofu soup wasnt too spicy or watery so it was perfect with the rice that came with it.

Juicy dumplings were the way to go. The pork and shrimp dumplings (not a soup dumpling here) were very filling and will fill you up quickly. Combination noodles were nothing special. I would skip it next time. Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons were delicious. Service was great. Price is reasonable. Parking wasnt too bad during late lunch time. Next visit, i would get the juicy dumplings, Dan Dan noodles, and spicy wontons again.

I had their string bean dish and their kung pao chicken dish. I felt that the flavors tasted somewhat authentic, but the food itself was very greasy. The vegetables werent as crunchy because of the overuse of oil. This made it heavy to eat and caused discomfort later on. Maybe it was a bad batch, but I would say go easy on the amount of oil used in the food.

Best Chinese standards in the area. Weve been there 3-4 times a month for the last 5 years. Its not Wolfgang Puck or anything. Just delicious, homey, American-Chinese food. We get whatever were in the mood for or whatever Keith recommends. Weve brought parties of 9, 7, 5 here, but its typically just 2-3 of us. The lazy susans are fun if you are bringing the kids, and an easy way for everyone to share and taste a bit of everything. My American friends and family whove been to Taiwan say its not authentic, but who cares. My Chinese friends love it when we go, and order the Puer tea and always say hi to the wifes owner if shes in. I wish they had better egg rolls...but I get the green onion pancake anyway, and thats the only criticism I can think of.
