The customer service and establishment were great. None of the food tasted good. It tasted super pre-prepared and almost plastic-like. Just seemed so low quality. It kinda felt like I walked into Sysco myself and prepared a bunch of frozen ultra processed food in my microwave. Dr. Pepper syrup/fizz ratio was totally off.

Its patio weather! Nice sized, covered and shaded area opens to a large U shape bar. Had fun choosing from eclectic (especially creative?) set of specialty cocktails. (happy hour goes till 7p) Redfish and portabella chicken dishes were impressive, both 5 star. Service peppy and on point. We got a coupon for free HUGE appetizer sampler platter as first time dinners, to use on our next visit. Tell them!

Wildwood is locally owned southern kitchen. Always nice to go local over chain restaurants, of which this is one that is a good find. They have a lot of good options for happy hour and the regular menu. The staff is friendly and attentive, but will also give you space and not rush you out the door. There is a nice outdoor patio for afternoons or evenings when the weather is nice.

I decided to venture out in the Richardson area since I am here on a business trip and I did a search for some nearby restaurants and Wildwood Cityline popped up as a list of suggestions. I saw a posted picture of the salmon plate and decided to give it a shot. One word...AMAZING!!! I did call to place reservations and that proved to be beneficial because the place was almost full. So I do recommend that. I was cordially greeted by their staff and sat outside. My server was Macie and her service was OUTSTANDING!! I could not have asked for a more friendlier waitress who even told me she was sorry for not greeting me sooner. I reassured her that I had only been there just a few minutes and that she was doing a great job! The salmon was to die for!! My compliments to the chef(s) who cooked my meal!! I call them the unsung heroes who never get enough recognition for the work they do!! After I had finished my meal I eyed someone eating a delicious desert and I asked Macie what she recommended and she said the pineapple cake was her personal favorite so I took her advice. WOW!! It was so delish! So if you are ever in Richardson, TX check out this cool spot and definitely ask for Macie. Her service was amazing and her smile so infectious!! I promised her I would write a great review and mention her name! Thank you Macie for making it a great dinner outing!!

July 27, 2024: I was walking across the parking lot to Zalat pizza, noticed the Wildwood woodfire logs and whiskey through the window and noted I must come back, Zalat wasnt dine in (Ill still try it soon!), so I came right back to where the whiskey and wood were beckoning. What a happy accident! Sat solo in a cozy booth to myself. Started with the house, smoked old fashioned yes! (Only recommendation, present the smoke effect for just a little longer). Started with the Caeser salad with jalapeño croutons and poblano dressing (added avocado) might be one of the best Caesar salads Ive ever had! Id go back even just for this. The pesto grilled shrimp over risotto was incredible perfect pairings of all the ingredients. The housemade bread pudding served in cast iron... goodness gracious was that good. I added a la mode, and lapped up every last bite of caramel, gooey butter, creamy deliciousness. The real star though, was: Jeffery. This server made my experience exceptional and memorable within seconds of me sitting down until the end. Jeffrey is incredible at service and showmanship, kindness and hospitality, and just an incredible human being. Thank you, sincerely.

Can t say enough about the amazing dinner we had at Wildwood CityLine. Our first time eating here and we couldn t be more pleased! Everything was so so so delicious. My mom had the Pecan Crusted Chicken and I had the Grilled Portabella Chicken both with mashed potatoes and vegetable medley! It tasted like a hearty home cooked meal. Everything was seasoned right, cooked right, the vegetable medley was not soggy or crunchy. I loved every bite of my meal and of course the banana pudding! I wish I took pics of the food but it was so good I was excited to eat and forgot! Go try it out if you haven t already!

This place is a MUST!!! Had lunch today. Pictured is the Tawaca Lemon Drop and the seasonal Seared Salmon risotto. The salmon was cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and juicy in the center. I will be honest I ve never had risotto before and always wanted to try it. I LOVED it. I enjoyed the spinach and roasted tomatoes throughout to break up the creaminess of the rice and give it an extra layer. It, to me, was a chefs kiss experience.

Tldr: bad food, worse service, and even worse roaches. I regret to say that our experience at Wildwood was far from satisfactory. My chicken fried steak was disappointingly overbreaded, and to add insult to injury, the green beans were undercooked. The saving grace was the mashed potatoes, which were decent. Unfortunately, my husbands hanger steak, while flavorful, suffered from being improperly rested before slicing, resulting in a disappointing leakage of juices. The service was abysmal, and the ultimate low point was spotting roaches during our meal. Overall, it was a regrettable dining experience marred by subpar food, poor service, and unsanitary conditions.

11/28/23: This was our first visit. We went on A Tuesday evening for dinner. Alma was our hostess, and she did a great job. My wife had a Grapefruit Martini, and I had a Smoked Old Fashioned. The Alma prepared the Smoked Old Fashioned at our table, which was a really nice experience. We had the Fired Cheese Blocks as an appetizer. She had the Hanger Butchers Cut with a loaded baked potato and green beans, and I took advantage of the 2 for Tuesdays special. I had the Pecan Crusted Chicken and the Atlantic Salmon. Our food was very good, and the atmosphere was great. The restaurant was very clean, very nicely decorated, and parking was plentiful. Towards the end of our meal, I saw John, who was bartending, and I had met him before at a different restaurant.

Cozy ambiance and friendly staff are amply present with this locations southern-styled charm. Well-crafted cocktails and carefully crafted entrees blend together in a portrait of Southern hospitality. A must-visit if youre in the Cityline area Update as of 10/21/23: Service has really gone downhill since new management took over the restaurant. Spent 15 minutes being unacknowledged at the bar area. There were two employees at the bar. One was glued to a customers long winded story and the other was refilling ice. The bar was left dirty in front of me from previous customers. The menu has been unchanged for over a year with no new features. I withdraw my recommendation to this restaurant as of now.

My reakfast tacos were ok but 1 taco had no meat and all tacos were stuffed with way too much corn. Just not great. Oh my! We didnt know they even had a Wildwood in Richardson. The service was A-1 was the time we walked in the door and out. Jeffrey was the bomb ! Excellent services from him... It was really nice to have management to bring out your food and constantly ask how is everything. Priceless! The food was plenty & superb! My husband is hard to please, but you guys did an awesome job and he even tried something new. He loved it! We loved it and will definitely be back again! Thanks for the warm hospitality!! Highly recommended!!

Came in at 6pm on a Wednesday and the hostess was extremely rude. I asked if possible I could sit in a booth and it ruined her whole day I guess. The only saving grace was my server Jeff and the risotto balls on the happy hour menu. Thank you Jeff for being amazing and kind. You gave me one of the best customer service experiences ever. If I come back it will only be if you are working.

I tried this place for brunch today, and everything was perfect! The atmosphere was really nice. The restaurant seems to have been built around a whiskey concept, and the interior decor matched the concept. I started my meal off with a mimosa, which was reasonably priced and exactly what I needed. I ordered the Traditional Breakfast, and my partner had the Southern Chicken BLT. The bacon and pancakes in my meal were all good, and my partner also enjoyed his BLT, but he particularly loved the fries that came with it. The service was decent but a bit slow at times. I highly recommend giving this place a try for brunch, if only for the inexpensive brunch drinks. I cant wait to return for dinner.

Food came out quick, hot and tasty! And always a good sign to see mgmt jump in and get their hands dirty when needed. You ve earned some regulars today.

Great experience and food. Went on a quiet Sunday night and we had a Dragon Burger and a Filet, both cooked as ordered and served promptly after our appetizer of buratta, charred grape tomatoes and pesto. Everything was very good! Bar service was a little slow, something Ive noticed as a trend in a lot of restaurants these days.

i ordered the nashville chicken sandwich... i dont think they know what a nashville chicken sandwich is. this was just a regular chicken sandwich. absolutely no heat and no sauce. they ran out of brioche and i had to use pretzel bread which i typically enjoy, but this was so dense and hard and cold and just not delicious i ended up scraping the insides and just eating it with a fork and knife. DO NOT GET THE STREET CORN ITS SO SALTY. i couldnt finish the tiny serving bc each bite made me want to drink a gallon of water to offset the sodium.

the food is so good! we got 3 different appetizers, 2 meals, fries, (which were excellent) and 3 desserts. Our server was Raul and he was amazing! always came out at a respectful time. Always had water and was patient if we had anything to ask him! All of the food was excellent! My personal favorite is the Spinach Artichoke dip that comes with HUGE chips! We sat outside by their fire that they so kindly lit for us. They had two TV s that were not loud at all and even the patio was very well lit and clean. We got three desserts, a berry cheesecake, a 7 layered chocolate cake, and a peach ice cream served in a cinnamon waffle bowl with peaches on the side and a drizzle of caramel! The ice cream even had diced peaches in them which was a nice surprise! I will definitely be going there again and hopefully be served by Raul! Order mimosas, double pour but the glass wasn t even half full but we were charged double prices. Chicken had no seasoning at all, the pancakes were burned. I ll just stop there. See pictures.

Went today (1/11/23) for lunch. The bartender, pretty girl with bright red hair took our order. 30 minutes later food had not come out yet and we had to leave to go back to work. Asked for food to go, the manager (tall white dark hair) brought it out, didn t apologize for our frustrating experience and pretended like everything was dandy. Different parts of our dishes were in different bags so I ended up with Lettuce wraps without the lettuce :/ I ve heard great things about their food, but their service lacks.

My husband and I went to the Cowboys game on Christmas Eve and were struggling to find somewhere open still by the time we got back into Richardson where we were staying. We found this restaurant near our hotel and walked in about 25 minutes before closing. We truly felt like a**holes because we knew it was so close to closing time but we were really hungry. Right away, the hostesses and I m assuming the manager were incredibly sweet and had us seated and told us not to worry about them closing. Our server too came by right away and took our order with a smile and never made us feel bad about being there. Our food came out very quickly; I got a seafood pasta and my husband got a burger. We decided to take our food to go because we felt bad about keeping them late. We could tell the server was grateful for us taking our food to go but I truly feel like she and everyone there would ve been perfectly fine had we stayed and eaten in. We never once felt rushed or like anyone was staring us down waiting for us to leave. The service was amazing, everyone was so sweet, and the food was delicious!! 10/10 recommend!

Really fantastic southern style food. Steaks are pretty pricey at $36 but everything else is very reasonable for an upscale dining experience. Absolutely loved the Pecan Crusted Chicken. All the appetizers were wonderful! Our table tried the Dragon Dip, Lettuce Wraps and Wildberry Smoked Meatballs and they all were fabulous and could have been a meal themselves. The House Made Bread Pudding was amazing for dessert and definitely could be shared with another person. Very impressed.

I went with a party of eight to celebrate a birthday. The best part of the night was the excellent service. Stephanie was gracious, attentive to each of us, and took such perfect care of the whole table. Thank you, Stephanie! The atmosphere was comfortable (not too loud, good lighting), I enjoyed the live music, and one of the musicians even stopped by our table to personally invite us to come outside to listen, which I thought was really nice. The only drawback: the Southern Pesto Fettuccini I chose turned out not to be my favorite. I noticed two vegetarian entrees on the menu, this and the Burrata Grain Bowl. The description said, roasted pepita pesto, summer squash, red bell pepper, parmesan, but instead of red bell pepper, they substituted carrots and a lot of cauliflower. The pasta had a ring of oil around it and every bite was dripping with oil, which is not how I would serve pesto at home. However, my friends food--the portabella chicken, the hanger steak, the chicken and biscuits, and the shrimp and grits--all looked amazing, especially the pecan crusted chicken, which is probably what I would try next time. And the portions seemed right. Everyone liked their drinks, too, and said the Grapefruit Martini was especially good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience!

Wildwood is a good response to a Sunday appetite! The hubby and I were looking for a place to take refuge from last Sundays downpour. Wildwood Smoke and Craft Whiskey answered the called! I had the Smoked Buffalo Wings that were lightly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. The wings were tossed in a Buffalo sauce that was reminiscent of the classic, but moved forward by a generous smoke flavor. Hubby had the Smoked Ribs that came with Fries and Slaw. The ribs had a good flavor, but some were chewy and a little undercooked, while others pulled off the bone as Ribs should. However, the slaw(I know, I know, Coleslaw? A banger?) was on point! It wasnt your usual over sauced, limp Slaw, but was crisp and refreshing! My husband doesnt even like Coleslaw and he couldnt stop eating it! As a replacement to the Ribs(yes, we sent them back) he ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. Unlike a traditional Nashville Hot that is tossed in a spice mix and oil, the chicken was coated in a spicy breading. It delivered on all points of spice and flavor! Last, but not least, the Cheesecake! While the winds howled outside the Cheesecake bought comfort and joy! Thick slices of rich, decadent, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla, drizzled with a not overly sweet compote. The combination of blueberries and blackberries enhanced the Cheesecake, bringing an unexpected freshness. Other than the Ribs, Wildwood was a hit! Good food, good atmosphere, and great staff!! Check it out!

Update: Gave Wildwood another shot. If youre going to serve your caesar SPICY, you might want to call it Spicy Caesar Salad. My side salad was spicy enough that I gave up halfway through. Chefs: quit over-thinking your menu! Also, as mentioned below, the roasted corn I was served last time should have been hot after all. This time, it was luke warm. I give this place 6 months, quality control and menu just wont allow success. First timer (evening, not busy): service was good, serving time was good, flavor was good, but the redfish in the tacos was barely warm, dry and gritty, like it was pre-cooked of something. Hope they improve.
