I ordered two chicken wings with plantian meals to go. All the wings on each meal were extremly dry as if left in a warmer too long. The plantian were hard, greasy and not propely cooked. When I informed the manager. She stated sorry & she will comp me two chicken wings meals during next visit. Today, I went to the restaurant & the new manager stated she could only offer me an a side if rice & not the meal. I wasted money on the sorry chicken wing meal. I had ordered the meal previously & it was delicious. I expected management to honor their word and never serve food thats not up to their standards

The restaurant is truly a Vibe. My own personal experience. The crawfish hush puppies lacked seasoning. Which it wasn t heavy, nor was it lite. This is off their Brunch Menu French Toast w/side of wings. The French toast was out of a toaster with a splash of Cinnamon, it was hard and had a crunch to it. The wings were not cooked all the way through w/ know flavor. The pineapple mimosa was great. I was disappointed and will not give them a second try. I can say also, considering I sent my food back. With only tasting 1 chicken wing and eating one piece of toast. I was disappointed when I receive the check. Rather than make an issue I paid for the French Toast and I had to request they take the chicken off. This is after I had already spoke to the manager on duty at the time. Again atmosphere Great our waitress Great. But Judge for yourself

When we first arrived for a birthday party everything started out great! As the night went on the restaurant did not have any business but our party. They turned the lights off and shut down the bar prior to us leaving. The establishment was not set to close until 2am, but closed at 1 am. It is not the customers problem you do not have the clients. We drove all the way there and should have been served service until the advertised closing time

Drove over an hour with traffic for 330 reservations . Food order was placed at 417. We had a party of 6 celebrating our friend girls 50th birthday. Music was nice, bar was full. There were only our table plus another couple at another table. Not crowded at all. Again our party of 6 ordered food together at 417. Four out of six received their meals around 520. One meal was cold and a very small portion of oxtail like not one big oxtail in a large bowl of grits. The lamb chops were supposed to come with cheese grits. They were lumpy and unappealing. Two ladies ordered the jollof shrimp and eggs and there eggs were missing. I would like to tell you the taste of the food, however I was one of the two whose food still hadnt arrived by 545. We were offered a complimentary waffle or Pancake for our inconvenience. We canceled our meals that still hadnt come, and left the party to find other accommodations. Will not return. Would not recommend.

Came for a brunch with friends, drinks were great. I can t review food because we never got to eat order was placed at 4:15pm over a hour later no food. Some ladies got their food however two of us had no plates and they were almost done eating when we asked to cancel our food. Our order was placed together, the reason given was kitchen was backed up. The restaurant wasn t even at 25% capacity I couldn t imagine it being at 100% capacity. For someone who drove almost a hour to get to the restaurant and leave hungry was highly disappointed. Wouldn t recommend wouldn t even give a second chance.

Visited with my partner on Saturday night. We were there less than 2 hours, which most of that time was spent waiting on something (greeting from server, drinks, food). The appetizers took about 30-40 min to arrive and the entrees were out about 20-30 minutes later. We spent $190 on 2 bottled waters, 1 reg drink, 1 cocktail, 1 shot, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and an automatic 15% gratuity + $4 tip. This wouldn t have been a problem at all if the drinks and food came out quicker and our server was more attentive. On a positive note, the owner introduced herself and she was polite and beautiful. The establishment is well decorated and has a good vibe. I did like my food (Caesar salad w/ shrimp and jollof w/suya) but my partner didn t like his which I can agree with from my taste test (wings w/ fries, lamb chops w/ cold mash potatoes+jollof rice). The DJ/music was nice as well. My partner is not but I am willing to revisit a different day and even reorder for takeout.

This place was amazing! Phat Tuesday 1st Night was great along with my Chicken Taco off the Taco Tuesday menu selection. Their food was seasoned great and I am a picky eater. The server was somewhat timid or a little dry not too savvy on the menu options but very polite and potentially a newer employee. The owner was very attentive, pleasant and welcoming, which was a plus to my experience. She inquired my experience satisfaction and reassured my needs were me several times. My friend and I really enjoyed ourselves, the food, hospitality, and liked how engaged the owner was. The bar attendant, Adrian personally visited our table to validate our beverage desires and my friend was satisfied with her drink. Nanette Lee of course put on a great show for Phat Tuesday. The last comedian really had me laughing! Cant wait to experience brunch at the ICON. I hear it is awesome. Definitely will be back! Parking: Parking around the area had restrictions but I was reassured thats for specific reasons. I parked in the 3 hour parking without any concerns during my time in the restaurant.

Visit this restaurant on 09/15/24 ordered Oxtails /Grits with a mimosa received a bill for $51.75 way more than it was suppose to be. Oxtails/Grits was suppose to be $25.00 according to their menu. Kiara was the waitress she advise me that some group chat the amount of the oxtails/ grits were $10.00 more than what the menu states and still states. She apologized and told her Manager. Her manager Suki comes over offers a complimentary drink ( I didnt accept not a big drinker) I just advise that I would just like the refund of the difference. Which should be the difference of the meal plus the difference of 15% gratuity and taxes. She told me that on Sunday her system doesnt allow her to refund. Never heard of this a day in my life with any retail/ restaurant business. I gave her the benefit and she took my information down advise that I should get a text or call the next say well its 2 days later and nothing has been done. First off this is bad customer service. This is not how you do business. You dont change the prices of things in a group chat and expect for the customer to know. I dont like business that do business like this. Oh and BTW I got 2 oxtails with a bowl of grits. Not pleased dont recommend unless your okay with prices changing during your time being there but no awareness at the time of ordering. Parking: MULTIPLE LOCATIONS JUST HAVE TO FIND PARKING

I dined recently for brunch and I throughly enjoyed my dish. I ordered the ox tails and grits and both were seasoned well. The oxtails literally fell off the bone. My friend did not care for her order which was shrimp and jollof rice. The service could have been better but they automatically charge gratuity so it makes me wonder if that is why the service lacked because they knew they would get a tip regardless. Also, I was over charged and had to check my receipt and it wasnt until then that i noticed they had charged me so check your receipt before you pay. Overall, the vibe was nice but they have areas of improvement.

The restaurant was beautiful, the DJ was lit. The only downfall is the chicken & waffles. The waffles were tuff to cut. Very thin and bland. Omg the chicken tenders were small. Reminded me of a kids meal at McDonald s. But other than that. The restaurant was pretty cool. My eyes was creamy instead of scrambled.

This place has a lot of potential, but is not currently living up to it. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff friendly and attentive (overly so, in fact...but more on that later) and the food very flavorful. But there are a few things that need improvement before I would recommend The Icon to others: 1) There are no physical menus available, and youre required to use your phone to scan a QR code at the table with your phone to access their websites online menu. This is becoming more common and is not itself a problem. What IS a problem, however, is that neither of us could read the menu on our Android phones using Chrome browsers. For whatever reason, attempting to zoom the menu in order to be able to read it causes the menu to enlarge, but then lock into place so that it cannot be scrolled in any direction, so that youre stuck being able to see only one tiny part of the menu. We ended up having to use the servers iPhone (on which it worked) in order to read the menu. In spite of them having been made aware of that problem several days ago, the problem has still not been fixed. 2) It was -6:30pm when we ordered, and in spite of that falling within their dinner service time my first two choices for an entree (the Oxtail and Jollof & Asu) were not available...not because they were out of supply, but because they were not done cooking yet. 3) I ended up settling on the Lamb Chops with asparagus and mashed potatoes and, while the flavors were all quite good the dish was grossly overpriced at $35. The chops consisted of four rib bones, each with a tiny and extremely thin-cut piece of meat clinging to it. They pretty much amounted to four decent bites of meat. And in spite of being offered a choice of doneness (medium or medium well) the meat was so thin as to make anything less than well-done virtually impossible. And, oddly, when they brought the entrees to our table we were informed that the serving of mashed potatoes on my plate was smaller than it should have been, and they would be bringing me some more. Them correcting that issue after the fact was nice and all, but its an odd error for a kitchen to make. And if they were going to make up for a shortage of portion on that plate it should have been the lamb. 4) As I said, the staff was friendly and attentive...to a fault. We were interrupted every couple of minutes by different staff members who stopped by to ask us how everything was, with one even asking my wife if she didnt like the bread that came with here shrimp dish because she hadnt eaten all of it yet, while we were still only partway through the meal. I appreciate being checked on regularly to make sure everything is OK, but that can be overdone, and was. As I said, theres definitely potential there, but improvements need to be made before wed go again.

I went on a Sunday, it wasnt crowded and it had a nice vibe with a DJ that was wrapping up for a live band to come in. I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and it was bland( had to ask for salt& pepper) my mimosa flight was warm(they should have the champagne on ice). The owner did walk around and ask how things were. As far as service, we didnt get checked on much by our server so we had to stop other workers when we needed something.

Our visit to Icon Restaurant was, unfortunately, a series of disappointments. We waited over an hour just to receive our first order, suya and fries. When we inquired about the delay, we were informed that our food had been mistakenly delivered to another table this was only after we had to ask. Despite being told our order would be ready in four minutes, it ended up taking over an hour. Hoping for a better experience, we ordered a flatbread. After waiting another 30 minutes, someone came to inform us that the kitchen was closed despite our order being placed an hour and a half before the kitchen s advertised closing time of 11:00 PM. It was around 10:30 PM when they told us this. After expressing our frustration, our server assured us the flatbread was almost done, only for us to find out later that, once again, our food had been given to someone else (again only informed after we asked and by this time an hr had past by).The lack of organization and communication was incredibly frustrating. The issues didnt end there. When we asked for ketchup, we received only a few drops with the explanation that they had run out and were getting more. Meanwhile, the table next to us waited over an hour for basic items like a fork and napkins, to the point where they asked us for our napkin. In their words- It felt as if the staff were being stingy with basic essentials. The restaurant itself was freezing cold, making the entire experience uncomfortable. We came to support an artist performing that night, but the show, which was advertised to start at 10:30 PM, didn t begin until closer to 11:30 PM. While delays happen, the constant blame-shifting among the staff, rather than simply apologizing or acknowledging the issues, was disappointing. Many guests were leaving, expressing similar frustrations about long waits for even the simplest items like utensils, drinks, and food especially from a limited late-night menu. It was clear the restaurant was severely understaffed, with perhaps only one or two people trying to manage the entire place. Icon Restaurant has potential, but it desperately needs better logistics, more staff, and a stronger focus on customer service. Sadly, this experience left us feeling frustrated and unappreciated.

My third time trying a restaurant serving (subsaharan) african food. First time was in plano at a long gone restaurant, then it was Murphys Mansion. Now here. But yet another failure. (Tried egyptian, moroccan and ethiopian numerous times with no issues. Ethiopian is phenomenal.) Ordered the beef suya. And I am 90% sure the beef they used to prepare it was already spoiled. Once I had accidentally left some raw pork in the fridge for too long and when I took it out, it was slimy and had a unique sort of putrid sweet smell. The beef here had the exact same taste. I seriously doubt there is any way this was the result of some unique african seasonings. Please also reference the review by the other person Tosin who said specifically the meat was not fresh. There was also another review where a woman ssid she was vomiting from some chicken suya she had ordered and got food poisoning, but that review has disappeared. At this point I am no longer going to eat at places not run by white people. Every food poisoning incident I have had so far was at an establishment run by nonwhites. Sushi sake - unsanitary japanese down the street serving salmonella tilapia they claim is red snapper. Or here. Rotting beef! My fault for expecting too much from dallas. Now if you will excuse me I am going to rewatch Empire of Dust because it truly is all so tiresome.

Im so confused about this place. First of all, its gorgeous, a really stunning lounge. We went for dinner yesterday (a tuesday night) and it was really empty at 7:30 (which wasnt a bad thing). The server and bartender seemed genuinely confused though and Im not sure what was going on. I tried to ask what kind of tequila they had and I was told Well or Tequila Sunrise which is a cocktail and not a type of tequila, so I just let it go and got well. The person I was with asked for a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke. The server seemed really confused about this and so did the bartender when she came over to clarify. We were then told they dont have diet coke, which was really surprising, but not the end of the world. We got the peri peri shrimp (delicious) and a spicy shrimp pasta that was marked as one of the hotter things on the menu. It was not spicy at all and it was the greasiest bowl of pasta I have ever seen. There was an actual pool of grease at the bottom of the bowl (ill spare you the photo) and for some reason I found a chunk of bone in the pasta, even though it was a shrimp pasta. The bartender and someone who seemed to be the manager checked on us more than the server and they had to fetch our server for us to order. Maybe it was just an off night but I wouldnt go back, personally.

Yes, it is an African descent establishment however, that is not how it is marketing itself. There is NOTHING ICONIC about the food or service. Let s see, I paid $75 (with added gratuity) for a carafe of champagne and a bottle of Fiji water! You be the judge. My food was sent back because it was cold. Not warm but COLD. Now to their benefit the co-owner was really sweet and accommodating but let s be honest, there isn t enough apologizing for bad food, service, and experiences. Downside. Plates were inconsistent, the French Toast was cold, and Chicken seemed to be fried in old grease. We had several tables with the same issue. The waiters, and kitchen staff (very friendly btw) seemed to be overwhelmed. We did learn the chef was new (2 weeks in). OVERALL I will return. The minor issues can be fixed.

This was our very first time eating here. The food was flavorful and portions were good. However we had to send our Mamosa fountain back twice because it wasnt clean. We kept getting residue in our drink from whatever was in the fountain before. So we just requested the two bottles by themselves and the mixers on the side. The bottles were not served in chillers. I would not order the Mamosa tower with a mix in it so you dont get what we got. The music was good but the DJ then turned it up way too loud as the crowd began to increase. It gave ended up a club vibe instead of a restaurant with music vibe. Overall I would go back for the food and service. Parking: The location is nice but the parking sucks if you dont get there early.

Don t go here unless you re looking to be disappointed. I ordered a chicken salad that cost $22, but the portion size gave a $7 salad. The chicken was hard, dry and burnt (with grill marks on it), which made the salad taste terrible. They gave me nothing but lettuce and I had to ask for the other fixings that was supposed to be on it. Then and only then was when they told me they were out of cucumbers. The salad dressing was gross, I mean how do you mess up a salad. The place had nice astethics and I had planned on coming for brunch but once they messed up on the salad it was a no!!!

Honestly, I hate to even write this review, but the service was so disappointing. On Juneteenth, we arrived at 2 pm for a late lunch. Walking in the ambiance was beautiful, and the hostess/server was pleasant. The restaurant was not packed at all, but it appears they were short staff. It took 20 minutes just to receive water and place a drink order, another 30 mins to receive our cocktail, and the food order had not even been placed yet. Several patriots walked out, and we did as well. I was really looking forward to enjoying the cuisine, but the wait time was unbearable. So unfortunate. Suggestion: I think they should stick to dinner/club hours.

I have seen this location trending all over my social media page. We decided to as we like to experience different restaurants b/c we know DFW has a lot to offer. We ordered the buffalo chicken and then we had the red snapper. First the snapper came out. TRASHHHHH It tasted like they had it out all day and it was spoiled idk what was going on but it was the absolute worse and I have tried other snappers for other Nigerian restaurants or African restaurants and I have NEVER tasted something so horrific! 2nd came our wings. Wings came out and guess what the entire wing was fried coated with buffalo sauce and then boom! the wing attached to the flat ICE COLD! Never have I ever. i asked a random waitress to come to our table b/c our waitress literally disappeared. She came and I asked her to touch the wing she hesitated like I have to be nuts; however she touched it. She said its cold. I said correct she said we will get you some more. So she asked who our waitress was so she got her and she took it back. Was the 2nd time a charm? No! So we wanted to pay our tab. Waited 30 minutes our waitress did not have a care in the world. She was talking to some other gentleman who work there and we walked up almost about to exit to ask for our tab. With the type of service we received I honestly wanted to just walk out b/c no one cared about our experience but we didnt. Needless to say we will not be back. It was our first and definitely our last. Whomever manages or operates The Icon please yall have to do better. We only try to support black businesses but service like this makes it extremely hard. Such a disappointment.

Then an additional hour for our food to come out. Once the food arrived it was very bland with no flavor or spice. I would recommend Salt n Pepper or Osuma Suya for Nigerian food. We made reservations and arrived early. The restaurant wasn t busy, and we were seated immediately next to a table of six. The good: The place is beautifully decorated, and the live music creates a great vibe. My husband ordered the lamb, and it was delicious. The bad: We waited 20 plus minutes, and no one came to take our drink order. My husband eventually got up to get someone s attention. After ordering, my drink took another 20 plus minutes to arrive. Our appetizers never came. They were out of oxtails, so the waitress suggested the 14oz ribeye suya with jollof rice . When the food arrived, it was thin strips of thin meat, not a proper ribeye. I know ribeye, and this was sirloin. I mentioned this to the waitress, and although she apologized, she didn t offer anything else. I miss having live music options in the DFW area so if I return, it will be for drinks and music at the bar and to get the lamb for takeout.

I wanted to eat the black eye peas but I was told it s discontinued; that was a bummer but I got Brussels sprouts they first over crisped it but I told the manager and she quickly changed it. Once remade it was better. I ante it with a medium well steak, it was over medium but I m not to picky, maybe I should of said medium to get the pink I was looking for (everybody cooks their medium different) I subbed my asparagus for the Brussels sprouts . Overall it was a better experience than the last time I came and I will return.

I recently ordered jollof rice and goat meat from The Icon Restaurant , and I was extremely disappointed with the experience. The jollof rice was bland and lacked the rich, flavorful taste I expected. It seemed as though the spices were barely used, leaving the dish tasting more like plain rice than the vibrant jollof rice I love. The goat meat was equally unsatisfactory. It was shredded beef instead of goat meat, making it almost inedible. The portion size was also surprisingly small for the price ($35) which added to my frustration. Overall, this meal was a major letdown and not worth the cost. I had high expectations for this Restaurant, but this experience has left me very unsatisfied. I wont be ordering from here again. *PS* Despite the lovely setting, the food quality was so poor that it overshadowed the positive aspects of the restaurant. I expected much more and left feeling very unsatisfied.

The owner, Ify, came to our table while we were there and that really made all the difference. The mimosa tower and juices are some of the best i have had. We have the raspberry and peach and the also have a special house juice called zobo, I think. I had the jollof with the shrimp and it was absolutely fabulous. I also had the pancakes and for $15 I guess I expected more than just 3 pancakes. Paying $5 per pancake with nothing else with it seems a bit much. My sister had the oxtail and grits. The oxtails were extremely tender and fall off the bone. However, the sauce was a bit weird (spicy sweet). The shrimp and grits were not our taste either, I think it was the sauce as well. There is a 15% service charge added to each check as well. Parking: The restaurant is located in a plaza so there is plenty of parking

Nice ambiance, however, the service is lacking. It appeared that they were not adequately prepared for our party of 20, despite having about a weeks notice. One persons drink was significantly delayed, more than 30 minutes, due to them running out of martini glasses because so many people ordered martinis. Making that known as soon as possible and asking if she could serve the drink in a different glass would have been much better than making the customer wait that long. Additionally, the four of us that ordered lamb chops (before some of the other guests even arrived) received our meals after EVERYONE else had received their food and was either finished or almost finished. Another guest expressed dissatisfaction with the soup and requested an alternative, but the establishment declined to exchange or remove it from the bill. Everyone was charged gratuity Fortunately, the rest of the group enjoyed their respective dishes. The drinks, atmosphere, and music were good but I wouldnt recommend for large parties.

My family and I had reservations for 7:30pm on Mothers day. By the time that we ordered, we were the only people in the restaurant. We ordered a round of drinks, which did not take very long to come out. Over half of the menu was unavailable. I ordered the red snapper and requested Jollof Rice instead of the Hoppin John rice that comes with it. Our waitress told me that this could not be substituted, so I ordered jollof rice on the side (which was not an issue). We dined with two small children, so we ordered french fries as well. After waiting about 45 minutes, the chef came out to tell me that they were completely out of all types of rice. A 45 minute wait is already ridiculous, but for us to be the ONLY people in the restaurant at the time that we ordered... this is unnacceptable. It should not take 45 minutes to realize that youre completely out of all types of rice. I substituted the rice for mashed potatoes, which were cold. We received our food after about 1 hr 15 minutes. My red snapper was plain and did not have the spicy chili sauce, pickled peppers, carrots or cilantro (as advertised on the menu). It was very bland and lacked salt/ spices. The french fries did not come out until about 1hr 30 minutes after ordering (after reminding the waitress). Imagine two hungry and agitated toddlers... Terrible experience. Will NOT be going back. PROS: The restaurant was very aesthetically pleasing, decor was beautiful. The live band/ live music (although very very loud for the size of the establishment) was great.

The second time at this restaurant, and this time, it was for the Mothers Day brunch. All I can say is I WILL NEVER RETURN! ALMOST ruined Mothers Day for my mother, father, and family. Reservation was for 1pm but couldnt even get coffee, and when it came, we never got everyones coffee. Informed the kitchen was backed up and would take 25 minutes, but it took almost 1.5 hrs, and they messed the food up, and everyone got their food at different times. It was overcrowded, and we were informed they overbooked and took walk ins. Had to request the manager who gave a weak apology and claimed she would handle the bill. They still tried to charge for the whole bill then only gave $16 off a $100 bill then had to really complain, state how poor the service was and the wait was unacceptable before getting at least 50% off when half the patrons were complaining about the same thing or they just left due to the horrible experience. If this is how you do business and how you treat customers, Im praying for you! Its not right. Its unprofessional. Will never return, and we had a huge amount of patience when my father wanted to leave, and we should have like so many others did. The restaurant also ran out of coffee and pancake mix, and this was brunch! Theres nothing more to say except... I WOULD SELECT ANOTHER RESTAURANT.

While the atmosphere was great, with live music and a friendly waitstaff, I was deeply disappointed with the seafood okra soup. First being that the soup had no draw as in the slimy texture that is characteristic of okra soup and lacked the authentic flavor as well. My friends did enjoy the jollof rice they ordered, but found the meat that came with it sparse and mostly bone. The prices were unfortunately not worth the quality of the food. I do think that the spot is relatively new, and am hopeful that food quality will improve with time would return for the atmosphere, but not for the food just yet.

My husband and I visited the restaurant for a date night, and we were excited to try the food based on positive reviews. However, we encountered several issues during our visit. We waited for 30 minutes before our waitress attended to our table, and she seemed rushed and inattentive throughout our interaction. We noticed that she was prioritizing a large party, which left us feeling neglected. We were seated at 9:00 pm and placed our orders for our main dishes. My husband ordered the snapper, which the waitress informed us would take 30 minutes to prepare. At 10:15 pm, my food was brought out, but to our disappointment, the waitress informed us that they had run out of snapper. We felt that this could have been communicated to us much earlier, as my husband had to wait and watch me eat my meal alone. He did order an alternative dish, which arrived within 15 minutes, but by that point, our dining experience had been significantly dampened. Additionally, my husband ordered a drink that never arrived. When we requested that it be removed from our bill, the waitress insisted that we had indeed ordered it. We were surprised and frustrated by this, as we do not believe in paying for items that we did not receive. Regrettably, due to the poor service we experienced, we will not be returning to the restaurant. It is unfortunate because the food was delicious, and the ambiance was inviting. We hope that the restaurant can address these issues to improve the dining experience for future customers.

Visit (May 5th, 2024 8:45 PM) 15% Service Charge included for 1 or More guests smh Upon Arriving the place was empty (except for the Red Room Private Area) there was no one to greet us and it tools some one at the bar to point out waiter to come and meet us . I say that because that all he did and tell us sit wherever. The service is lackluster for it to be empty. The Food is good but could be great if it was available. It was so terrible that whoever is in charge doesn t know how to calculate Sitting Inventory in Relation to Usage . The server told me & my fiancée that they have been out of Caesar for more than a week(if you understand food distribution condiments are the least difficult thing to find ) Let s get to the sides also out of stock lol.. The food plating was good, taste was good but better when you re not almost done because they forgot your sides. No one likes cold food so of course I m going to eat while there still running behind for whatever miscommunication they had on such an uneventful night. Also there is 15% service Charge personally I don t believe in this business practice just because as an owner, you should be paying your employees a living wage. Secondly, I don t believe in tipping because again the owner should be paying them a living wage and not someone for them to hope they might get paid.

We dined at 8:45 pm we were the only couple there waiting to be served for a good 10 minutes before we even got a server. It took forever to get our drinks and the server was subpar. They pick and choose who they cater too, as when a group of people came in after us they received preferential treatment. Our server barely came to the table to refill drinks or check on us and everyone else around was either nonchalantly standing or conversing at the bar. The regular drinks were syrupy and gross and when we placed our order half of the menu was out of stock. While I will say the food was flavorful and spicy the service brought it down to a poor level as well as half our order being forgot and only brought out when we packing up our meal to go. Be prepared to spend a good amount of money for halfway decent food and even worse service you won t leave without spending at least a $ 100. Lastly, to add insult to injury a 15% service charge was added when in reality there was limited to no actual quality service that was provided at any time. While this restaurant has potential they need to reevaluate the quality of their staff before they can really get off the ground. The people they have hired will truly tank business for them.

The dining experience fell short of expectations. Despite ordering the Asun and Jollof with plantain, the meal was disappointing. The Asun had few edible pieces amidst fat and bone, and the plantain was undercooked. Service was slow; I finished most of my meal before receiving water and never got the ordered beverages. Ive observed a trend where establishments that apply automatic gratuity regardless of table size often provide subpar service. Unfortunately, this seems to be the case here. As an African, I prefer patronizing places where I receive better service, even if it means paying similar prices. I also asked for my check waited 10 minutes for the waitress to never bring it. They do everything on a pos at the table so you never see what you are being charged.

The atmosphere was nice. Live music was amazing! The food tasted okay. It was a bit pricey! We had coconut rice with oxtails. Didnt really taste the coconut, but the oxtails were nice and tender. The bubble drink was the best thing on the menu. Try it! My overall experience here was average.

The worst service i had in dfw so far. 50 mins wait to get a drink when there was hardly anybody i the place. The waitress had no idea what chill tequila is. Owner/manager came with a bunch of execuse and not even an apology.. there definitely better places in dallas to go

I had brunch with a couple of friends at Icon yesterday and it was very luxurious from their flavor filled Yam croquette to their popular Iconic hibiscus strawberry drink, everything was mouth watering and very tasteful. It was a great vibe with pleasant workers and I ll definitely be going back.
