Great restaurant with high quality food and friendly service. I was staying in a nearby hotel so this proved to be the only choice in walking distance. I was in town for a while so ended up going twice. The food tastes authentically Italian and freshly made. I ate the chefs specials on both visits and wasn t disappointed. The lasagna was particularly good. It s very reasonably priced. First visit I was served by Yarnnagh and she was great guiding us to our dishes which turned out to be excellent choices. My only negative would be that AC was a little high so on my second visit I ate outside and enjoyed the Dallas weather. If you re eating inside take a sweater or light jacket.

Oh my. I was afraid this would be what it was, salad drenched in dressing, a sauce that would make grocery store sauce good. But, it was walkable! Listen it was quaint but not worth eating again. And yes that is what the dish looked like!

Coming to this restaurant today made my day and that s an understatement. I simply came for a drink after a long, hard day, trying to relieve some stress and they superseded that request. I walked in at 4:00 on a Saturday and was greeted by the manager. He and the bartender were both incredibly friendly and personable and recommended the lasagna. They were spot on! Some of the best lasagna Ive ever had and it paired perfectly with the ice cold Peroni they have on tap! Highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place especially after a long day, I m too tired to cook, and I m in need of good conversation while i unwind. We absolutely love Gabby. He s very professional and knowledgeable. He makes the best old fashions and lemon drops! I had the seafood pasta (which was recommended by Gabby) and it was absolutely amazing!. Mannie greeted us at the door and was very welcoming. He interacted with us while we sat at the bar and offered a few laughs lol. This is a very laid back/good energy restaurant with amazing employees i felt like i was at home with family. 10/10 DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

Seriously the worst experience the two waitresses try to make really bad jokes and they were rude plus they tried to ripped us off. First offering water or mineral water. They bring mineral water that cost $8.00 the bottle. At the moment to pay our bill we hand our debit card and they told us it was declined!! We checked our account and it had enough money to cover our food. They ran 3 times our debit card it was declined 3 times, we decided to try another card. I kept the receipt with me to check what happened come back home. The total cost of our dinner was $76.25 when we arrived home and we checked our accounts we notice a charge of $212.15!!!!! Of course the first debit card was declined we didnt have that much money. But our second card went through obviously they wanted to ripped us off. They try to hard for people to order wine and desserts we simply didnt want anything but food. Waiters were abusive and dishonest. Sadly it was a restaurant we were looking forward to visit more than once. This will be our first and last. Those 2 men should be fired. Will never recommend this place.

I do not appreciate what happened at that restaurant on Aug. 25th. The food was good and the atmosphere was nice but the way we were treated by two waiters was inappropriate and unacceptable. What they did was reprehensible and I hope they are reprimanded accordingly.

They served us chewy calamari...my friend ordered a ravioli DINNER dish and when it came out had 4 pieces of small ravioli. For $20 that just surprised us. I ordered the Chicken Mediterranea and it came with asparagus which they chopped up and mixed into a tomato sauce. Some unique decisions from the head chef Ill say but it didnt hit right for us. Wont be returning.

Went there one afternoon to try it for the first time. The place was adorable on the inside and the owner was very welcoming. I had the chicken piccata. I would like to say this is the best chicken pricatta I have ever had. It was a large potion of real chicken in a light white wine pricatta sauce served with spaghetti and fresh veggies. The rolls were made fresh and were delicious. The food was so good that I had to take some home for the family. This is our new go to for anything Italian. Hands down the best. The new owners should be proud. Can t wait to go back.

The food was terrible and very expensive. I had the pasta bolognese and my husband had the chicken Alfredo. We both got sick to our stomach. Mine was greasy and tasted terrible. This was not a bolognese sauce, they used pieces of Italian sausage and mixed it with tomato sauce. Yuck ! For the price paid, this place was not worth the money at all.

I recently visited Porta Di Rima, and I must say, the atmosphere was quite nice. The ambiance was pleasant, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. The Trio Carne pizza was good. However, the service left much to be desired. Our server did not check in on us at all throughout our meal. She merely passed by and smiled, without ensuring we had everything we needed. Fortunately, another server noticed and took care of us, ensuring our dining experience wasnt completely marred by the lack of attention from our assigned server.

Wow! I ate here twice on my trip- the day I came into town and the day before I left! The staff was friendly and the food was *mwah* *chefs kiss*. I was out of town on my birthday and they gave me free dessert, but obliged my request to not sing to me. The manager stopped by my table to wish me happy birthday! The food is good, when your order is correct. The last 3 times we have ordered takeout, there has been some sort of issue with our order. 1st time was meat (steak) left out of our calzone, even though it was an option on the Slice app. When we contacted them to ask about this, they stated they didnt have steak. Okay, not a problem, but dont just leave it out if you know you dont have it. You should contact the customer ahead of time to see how they want it handled. 2nd time was our Slice order was missed and took forever to make. I wasnt too upset about this, mistakes happen sometimes. Most recent time (12/1) was the ricotta was left out of our Ricotta & Mozzarella Calzone. Thats the literal name of the menu item, so I would expect it to contain both of those cheeses. All of these issues have happened after the recent ownership change. I came here second time for dinner and food was what you call perfection. I tried their shrimp scampi, and it was delicious. However, the highlight of the evening was their dessert set (Tiramisu and Blueberry Chambord cheesecake). Staff was very friendly, and the chef offered custom seasoning for pizza when requested. Jana is the sole reason to come to Porta Di Roma. I have yet to have such service and hospitality as i have during this visit. While the meal was fine as it was. The bar service kept me here hours after I was finished. The main reason for my return is Jana herself. Food selection is varied, I had the Veal Osso Bucco, it was tender with a a great mouth-feel and the asparagus was cooked to be soft, but not mushy what so ever. I was in Richardson for five days. I went here three times! Each time, I was greeted and seated by the new owner, Brilant. I started with dessert first today! The tiramisu is fabulous...my new favorite. The green dabs on the plate is mint. I never would have thought to pair but so yummy. The pizza is cooked in a brick oven and mine was cooked perfectly. The Caesar salad was fresh and with the right amount of dressing. I had gnocchi for my first time, and the gnocchi with gargonzola was worth the wait. The service (and teamwork) was excellent. We stopped in after seeing a show at the Eisemann. The staff are friendly and inviting, the service outstanding, the food SO delicious. The soup is made in house daily. We had cream of mushroom which tasted rich and creamy. For my entree, I ordered the gnocchi w a Gorgonzola cream sauce. The portion is extremely generous, gnocchi was tender and sauce creamy and delicious. The dishes are topped with an edible flower (my first time eating a flower). Dessert was also made in house. I had the tiramisu, we also tried the Italian cream cake and the chocolate mousse. All plates were decorated with lightly flavored sauces and made the dishes feel quite special. We ended up staying and talking after food was finished and the owner brought a complimentary shot to each person at the table and spent time talking with us. This dining experience exceeded my expectations and we plan to make this a recurring dinner date night with friends.
