I ordered a quart of clam chowder soup to go. When I got home, I prepared the soup to give to my mom who is not feeling well. Good thing I tried a bit before giving it to her because it was extremely peppery .like bad! Almost as if the cook grabbed the white pepper instead of salt. I had some family try it out to see if it was just me, but we all agreed it was awfully hot tasting. So I called the restaurant and of course the manager Brian gave me the run around telling me how they don t use any spices and only a minuscule amount of pepper. Instead, of trying to find a solution to the problem, he just proceeded to tell me it wasn t spicy/hot. I ended up just hanging up the phone they are going to hurt someone with their clam chowder soup.

Update: It has been 8 months since my first review, and I just wanted to say that we have been back for more and the food and service have always been excellent! It has become one of my favorite go to restaurants in the prosper area! Excellent food and service! The menu is great, and we will be back to try more!

First time here and I ordered to go. I ordered the pick two combo (blackened catfish and fried shrimp) and my sides were fries and gumbo. My only issues is the food was cold and my fries were soggy. The food was good so I can only imagine how it would have tasted if it was fresh! Maybe I ll dine in next time ..

My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner today and I am glad we made the choice to. This was our first time eating here and the food was delicious.. Sorry I snapped the pictures after we had already started eating. Everything was cooked perfectly! And the taste testers of soups they brought out what a great gester! our waitress Shelby even brought us a sample of the fried oysters to try. Shelby was great she explained the specials and other menu items perfectly to us. The manager Mike came and greeted us and we had small talk. He was super nice! We felt very welcomed and the atmosphere was nice as well. We will absolutely be coming back. I had the Grilled Yahutat Sockeye Salmon and my husband had the Garlic Caper grilled Salmon minus the Cherry tomatoes only because he doesn t eat tomatoes. Excellent place to go to have a delicious meal.

We visited Fish City Grill Prosper for the first time this week! The food is absolutely AMAZING and the customer service was A+! I want to acknowledge our absolutely outstanding Server Taylor. Taylor provided amazing service, she provided excellent selections for our main course and appetizers! Taylor was generous and provided us Free samples of their homemade soups and Oyster Nachos which ALL were extremely DELICIOUS! I highly recommend this location, this is now an Family Favorite eating spot!

I had an awesome experience and the food hot and fresh and was very good. It didn t take long for our food to be served at all. Our waitress Jess did an awesome job, making sure that we were taken care of and had a pleasurable lunch experience. She was awesome! We couldn t decide on what soup we wanted; so we were given soup samples by Tim; to help with our decision; which was very helpful! Loved our experience at Fish City Grill. We popped in for a short lunch on our way through town. We didnt expect to enjoy it so much! I got the blackened catfish, so tender and flavorful. Fries perfectly crispy, coleslaw is fresh and sweet/slightly tangy. My son had spicy shrimp tacos which were his favorite! So plump and full of flavor but not too hot. Balanced with crispy veggies inside. Our waitress was friendly and service was great. It was very nicely cleaned. If there was anything to say negative it would be that it was a bit of inconvenience to stand outside the bathroom door to wait for only one stall. None of the ladies there seemed to be happy to be waiting But all in all food was delicious, service was on time, place is nicely clean.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Kimberly helped my family and I and it was such a great time. She was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive to our family. Loved her. The food was phenomenal, lots of flavor, cooked perfectly, seasoned well. Kimberly also brought us a few Welcome Wagons to help us decide on our soups and try new appetizers which was perfect, it helped us decide our apps and added more conversation to the table as we tried all the soups! The cocktails are also delicious, perfect balance of flavors! Overall amazing experience and we will be back again soon!! Also, I recommend giving their specials a try, loved them all.

I recently visited Fish city Grill in Prosper, TX, and had a mixed experience. The seafood was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, we had an unfortunate incident where a drink was spilled on our table. The waiter handed us napkins to clean it ourselves and didnt offer to clean the table or the floor. This lack of attention and professionalism was disappointing and affected our overall experience. I hope the management addresses this issue to ensure better service in the future.

This was our first time at FCG. Food: We tried calamari. Cooked right, but a bit some pieces were chewy. 4.5 Stars Trout was yummy. My wife loved the taste. I tried it too. Perfectly done. The sides were a little small for big guys. 5 Stars Fish and chips were cooked perfectly, no complaints. 5 stars. Service was nice. People were attentive. An older gentleman was very active on the floor. Loved his energy. The place is nice and clean. My only gripe is the seating was tight (or may be I am getting fat). I told her that i have a to go order then she politely said where to wait for it. The waitress walked over towards me with my order, but her head was turned toward the bartender the whole entire time (like an Ostrich) And she NEVER said a friendly,hello. heres your order or have a nice afternoon or nothing pleasant like that. I did not feel welcome . I did not like the sandwich, the shrimp was cold eventhough the presentation was ok, and the fries were so salty (I guess this is usually the plan if you dine in because youll drink more beverages), but this was a dang takeout order and a waste of $17. This was our first time in to Fish City Grill. We were seated on the patio where the host assured us that it was warm with the heaters.It might have been warm if the role up barrier was all the way to the floor but it stopped about a foot and a half from floor. We asked the waitress Kylie about that and she tried to lower it but it would not go all the way down leaving cold air coming in on our legs. The seats were also damp from rain. She did not even ask if we would prefer to move to another table when one came available. We ordered and a couple who were seated at another table after us were able to order and have their food half eaten before we got food delivered to us. We ordered roasted jalapeño soup and gumbo. The roasted jalapeño soup was excellent and the gumbo was better than most places around here. We ordered fish and chips and lobster and shrimp grilled cheese. The fish seemed to have set out waiting for delivery to the table therefore it was not crisp and not as warm as I expected.The sandwich my wife ordered was good. We saw our waitress a total of 3 times at the table once to order once to fill tea and once to take payment. Another waitress filled our tea once and brought us the check.we had to ask for the check after waiting twenty minutes to ask for the check after we were finished eating. We will be trying this restaurant again and hopefully we will have a more attentive waitstaff helping us. Next time we will not be seated on the patio unless the weather is better. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// We finally.got to go back and try again and all I can say is that this visit was one of the best experiences we have had eating out. I had the fish platter with Cod the Cod was nice and Flaky not overcooked breading was thin which is great cuz I dont like a lot of breading. Crab cakes were crab cakes Ive never been a fan of them these werent bad or good they just were crab cakes. The oysters were great and the black and shrimp were quite good. Almost as large as prawns. Im from the West Coast of Oregon where we get really good fresh seafood and I dont like most seafood restaurants because the quality just isnt there. Tonight we ordered take out from the Prosper location. My husband got the po boy and really enjoyed it. We got the fried pickles for an app and the bread pudding for dessert which I highly recommend! I ordered the Alabama cat fish unfortunately I had to throw it away after only a couple of bites. The breading that was used was awful it left a horrible aftertaste. I had my husband try it to make sure it wasn t just me and he agreed.Hopefully next time I will have better luck! Lisa

Placed a takeout order Saturday and we always get the fish tacos but this time we ordered the shrimp & Cajun Alfredo chicken pasta. It was awful because the shrimp was very fishy, the pasta was watery and was a waste. I did not eat or call to ask for a refund. I ve not had bad food from here before but I do not recommend this pasta dish

Absolute BEST dining experience and seafood ever!! Family lunch with the folks visiting from out of town and every plate was outstanding. Kareem and the manager were very attentive and friendly, felt like we were VIPs on this gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Kindly made recommendations of dishes and went above and beyond being sweet to our 4 year old, just because. Reasonable pricing to boot! Instantly our new favorite place, would give 50 stars if I could!!!

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The crab bisque, crab cake, and shrimp/crab stuffed flounder were all amazing. There is so much flavor, is super tender, and very fresh! Be aware: the crab cake is served with a small salad and is covered with almonds. For those with an allergy, ask for no almonds. I had to wait for it to be remade. The hurricane signature drink was strong and good. We will be back! Update: we ordered the stuffed flounder for the 3rd time, and it was so small that the stuffing almost didnt exist. Subsequent times, we ordered the crab cakes and were burnt on the bottom. Disappointing.

We were there on Maundy Tuesday(Fat Tuesday). The restaurant and all the staff were dressed for Mardi gras. So much fun. A real Lousianne flavor and mood. So much fun. I ordered the Red Fish. Perfectly prepared and very tasty! My wife enjoyed her fish entrè too! The waiter brought us a small slice of King Cake. I found the baby Jesus and had my entrè compd. What a great surprise. The waiter was tipped handsomely! A very memorable night. Well go back during Lent For sure. Stock up on the nonalcoholic beer for our next visit please. GBY

Came in this past Friday and was sitting on the patio. My server Kimberly was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I got the Jalepeno bacon tacos and they were amazing!! I never had to ask for refills and she would check on us often. I HIGHLY recommend you ask for Kimberly when you go in.

This is a place my family visits weekly for lunch and dinner if not multiple times a week! The food is always so fresh and flavorful. The crab cake, salmon salad, and rainbow trout with cheesy grits are our go-to s! The whole staff is great and they make you feel so welcome. Kareem is one of our favorite waiters always so happy, friendly, and makes sure you re all taken care of! Definitely add this place to your weekly rotation!

Wow, what a great time my friends and I had at Fish City Grill today! We decided to drop by for lunch on a busy Friday, and despite the crowd, we were greeted with such warmth and enthusiasm by Jessica. It was our first time there, and Jessica made us feel right at home. She even surprised us with a sampler plate of their amazing soups, which we couldnt resist ordering along with some shrimp and a tasty burger. Jessicas hospitality was top-notch, and she really made our visit special. And lets not forget about Chris! He was super helpful and knowledgeable, adding to the overall great experience. We left Fish City Grill with full bellies and big smiles, already planning our next visit. Huge thanks to Jessica, Chris, and the whole team for making our lunch so enjoyable. Cant wait to come back for more delicious food and fantastic service!

Being from South Louisiana, we stumbled upon this great little restaurant nestled in Gates of Prosper in Prosper, Tx. The food is the closest I have found to my southern roots and the wait staff is high on the mark. Everyone is super friendly, Kareem, our waiter was the best waitier we have had in any restaurant setting and the atmosphere brings home to Texas. Chris, the manager, is always on hand and greets everyone that walks in the door. The oyster nachos are a must to start off with and the shrimp and grits will knock your socks off. Definiately our new go to place! Oh! you have to try the bloody marys! They have a nice cajun kick.....Tracy

I ordered the crab and shrimp stuffed flounder that I have had for years like since college at other locations. Ordered it tonight at the Prosper location and was served a fish skin mayonnaise burrito! It was so nasty. I made a mistake of taking a big bite (praying I don t get food poisoning) and it was literally the grey skin of fish around a pile of mayonnaise slop. Maybe they should change the name of the menu item to fish skin mayonnaise burrito because that is exactly what it was. Our server was prompt and beyond wonderful, my only complaint is this dish. Sure, it would have been nice if a manager came by but no big deal there. I m just shocked that the kitchen would serve something like this. My daughter s kids fried shrimp was good and she enjoyed.

Im pretty picky about crab cakes. While I wouldve liked more lumps of crab (as almost always), it was still delish and came with a lemon aioli. Also, had fish and chips. The outside was nice and crunchy while the fish inside was light and flaky! The manager checked on me a couple of times, which was nice. Ariel was a great waitress and made the visit even more enjoyable. :)

First off, I very rarely give a review, unless it is really warranted. If I could give this restaurant negative stars, I would. We ate here for the first time and I was excited because it has great reviews (makes me wonder where these people are regularly eating at). We got takeout, but ate it immediately after picking it up about 10 minutes before scheduled time. We ordered the fish and chips big mistake. The fish didn t taste fresh at all, it was way overcooked and extremely greasy soggy with grease to the point of it dripping. The fish tasted like it was fried in old oil as well and had no seasoning whatsoever. The fries were soggy with grease and inconsistently cooked and seasoned. I couldn t finish the fish or fries and neither could my daughter because it was so bad and actually made us feel nauseous. Long John Silvers (which is terrible) is better than this place for fish and chips. The Cheesecake Factory has them beat by a million miles. The food was clearly frozen and just dumped into hot oil to fry. Nothing remotely fresh tasting about it. I actually feel like I need a detox after eating here. Sadly disappointing and just disgusting.

Staff was very attentive and quick when it came to taking our order and getting the food to us. Only downside is there really isnt anywhere to wait for a table so everyone was clogging up the entrance. No one wanted to wait outside because it was so cold out.
