This resort is beautifully kept. Easy enter and exit. Office staff was friendly and professional. Laundry and exercise rooms were clean and roomy. We were in a 37 ft 5th wheel and had plenty of room for parking it and truck. I would highly recommend Port Arthur RV Resort.

I want to thank Ms.Joyce for accommodating our big family so quickly, promptly and without hesitation! Booking our site over the phone with you was an absolute delight and a pleasure. Ms. Joyce was able to provide me with all the information we required for our stay at the Rv resort. Her bubbly personality was the best first impression of what our stay would be like. (*** and thank you so much for believing that not all big families mean chaos***) Upon arrival, Ms. Felicia and her friend met us at the gate with the biggest, happiest welcome!!! (We arrives after the office closed with permission from Ms. Joyce). We were shown directly to our site, which was very kind. Ms. Felicia reiterated how to contact her if there were any issues at all, which we appreciated. The park itself was beautiful. The landscape was freshly cut and very well cared for. The park was immaculately clean and you could tell there was a lot of pride put into the place. There was a cute pool, although we didnt use it, it looked very well kept. We took advantage of the laundry facilities which were very reasonably priced and worked very well. Our son used the gym and was pleased with what it offered for a smaller resort. The sleep here was peaceful. No highway noise, no loud music or disturbances at all!!! All around, this rv resort is a hidden gem in Port Arthur. I am so pleased we were able to stop here and meet such wonderful and kind human beings. Although our stay was short, it was memorable. Thank you ladies for your kindness

The response is prompt and professional. Communication is excellent. The site is super clean. High class toilets and showers. Even the toilet paper is good quality, the only false note, the water in the shower is lukewarm and there is background noise all night: the operations of a neighboring factory. Well call it white noise but you have to get used to it. Safety: Well lit

Had a great experience here, Mrs Joyce was a godsend at times when I needed help. Atmosphere was good too with good people. Pool was good to use and the workout room helped to keep up my routine. The bathouse was nice and always kept clean. Nice place overall. Nearby activities: Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as shopping and some adult bars and pool halls. Safety: Never had a problem here, always felt safe and was constantly updated if anything was going on near or in the park.

Nice and clean RV park. The shower areas were okay, not super clean, not super dirty. No fire pits, huge disappointment there. No trees or landscaping of any kind, so no shade, in hot Texas. The entire RV park is paved, so that is nice. During our stay the pool was closed. I think pricing should be adjusted for times when amenities that are included in the price are not available. There were workers staying at this park during our visit: they parked in our spot, arrived with their loud trucks late at night and left early in the morning (these trucks were loud and their lights were bright, shining into our RV). I have to say we wouldnt stay here again.

Very-very clean, everything appears brand new, fantastic laundry room with a variety of machine sizes, nice gym area, pool was closed during our visit, sites were paved (not small, not spacious), very well lit, felt safe walking my dogs alone before sunrise. This is not a resort, everything was nice but it is a parking lot for RVs and trailers, limited amenities, recycling plant is next door and can be heard 24x7 inside with radio on, no planned activities, limited landscaping, Kept awnings retracted due to extreme wind. The staff is extremely nice and professional, cannot interact with Joyce without smiling. The location was about 95% full yet only saw people outside when they were coming or going.

We stayed at the resort for one night traveling through the area and were quite pleased with how nice it was. Not meant to be demeaning, but it was somewhat clinical. Meaning it didnt have a lot of trees and you dont get the feeling of camping, but it is definitely a very nice place. Everything was clean. The sites were fairly level and very well kept concrete pads (just barely needed to level our passenger side) and we didnt even need to unhook. The utilities were well placed and worked perfectly. We felt each site was placed reasonably apart and liked how long they were. We didnt get to take advantage of many of the amenities, but did see that they have a nice fitness center, laundry room, pool and playground. They also offer wi-fi and Direct TV, but we did not connect to either. Best of all, it was so peacefully quiet. Even though there were well over 100 spots, we didnt hear any road noise and all of the other campers were respectful (and everyones spots were well kept). Their Passport America rate was an incredible value. Since we work remote, this would have been a PERFECT spot for us to stay for a week or two (wish we would have booked longer). The service was also incredible. We got held up in heavy traffic traveling through Alabama and arrived later on a Sunday. They had everything ready for us in the site and were great to communicate with on the phone. Just first class all the way.

Would be 5 stara if they would widen their pads. Place is clean and well kept and staff is great. The pads are not wide enough so you walk in the grass which gets wet when it rains and retains water.

Definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling this area! Lorraine and Joyce are two of THE nicest ladies youll ever meet too. They treated us like royalty and took such good care of us. The grounds are very clean and the laundry room was the best we have encountered yet! $2.00 to wash and $1.75 for 49 min to dry ended up costing me a mere $7.00 to do ALL our laundry! Ms Joyce made us fresh popcorn this morning too! This place is heaven and we will definitely stay here again!!! Oh yeah, the candy bowl was the bomb too!!

This is not a family friendly establishment. Children are expected to be inside their RV from 4-7pm daily so people can come home from work. They don t tell you this until after you ve paid. It s not listed on their rules but it a posted in the campground. They are not allowed to use chalk on the side wall either. We were asked to only have the children laugh and play together on the playground during the day time because shift workers are sleeping and they expect quiet in the park. Better options for kids in Port Arthur.

As a traveler through the US since August last year (22 RV sites since mid Aug as of this review and we have been through 12 different states), this place is ok. We base our reviews off of multiple things to consider: Campsite/Amenities onsite and around/Staff politeness/Cable/WiFi consistency/ etc., This camp ground is nice however: Pros: Ok Space between sites Clean No issues with long time stayers Nice Managment Staff Cons: Off a busy FM (farm to market) road. There is some sort of recycling facility across the street that has constant noise as well as you get the 4-5 AM morning traffic from the road as wells as the folks that live onsite for work nearby. I did not have one night of uninterrupted sleep during our stay the entire week. Nothing to do outside the campsite. If you are health conscious, no restaurants to eat at unless you desire fried food or drive through. Propane is hard to come by. Local Tractor Supply was out when I called in the morning stating they would be filled up by the end of the day. Called back before the closed that day and they said they were already at 50% after the refuel. The hookup for our spot was in muck the entire week were there which made it a hassle to deal with. Not good drainage. WiFi was very inconsistent. If you advertise wifi, please make sure its usable. I would advise you have a wifi extender as we did and it barely reached the washroom access point and we were only 50 yards away. I work in IT. I ve had better results elsewhere. Its a good place for passing through...but not my choice for anything over 2 days when all said and done.

So I am wrapping up a 13 week stay here at Port Arthur RV Resort. Without a doubt one of nicest camp sites I have stayed at. The staff is so wonderful and always helpful. The laundry facilities are perfect and extremely clean along with the gym area. The restroom/shower building is always clean and plenty of hot water. The WIFI is available but you cannot stream Netflix, Hulu, YouTube. They are working with their vendor to get this fixed. The other item is how the grounds are kept, very clean and manicured. I would truly recommend this place.

My wife and I have been at the park since Saturday February 15th , 2020 and now we understand why we had to wait almost a month to get a permanent site. The park is quiet, clean, and the residents are very nice. In the office, Joyce and Lorraine are personable, professional, and always attentive to any issues or questions we may have. The WIFI signal strength is strong but the bandwidth is weak. If youre coming to do online web exs / online video conf calls / stream videos, youll want to get satellite internet. Joyce did say the owner was making it a priority to up the bandwidth so well see in the next couple of days / weeks. Overall, were extremely happy and look forward to going swimming once the pool opens up when the water temp is 70 degrees. A quick note to Joyce and Lorraine - thank you for all that you do!!!!!

This place is like a prison. Every move you make is being watched & criticted. If not by the Mgr & her grumpy helper then by their favorite renters. I have been walking on egg shells around here. If you are some of their favorite people you can break all the rules...( out door freezers, AC hanging out of window, utility trailers as camper...etc. They nag at children for running & anything else kids enjoy doing outdoors. I feel they are not kid friendly at all. The chubby girl in the office is very rude & never happy! Dont dare touch the grass or enjoy the spot you PAY for. The place is nice to an extent....resort..I think not!! The restrooms never have toilet paper & no AC! The cable is terrible & wifi too. I asked for an owners phone # & the chubby girl refused to give me one. She did say the owner would call us, but has not happened. Im looking the owner up myself through the appraisal district. SAD!! I pay for a premium spot $600 a month & feel I should not be hassled everyday. Also, if you dont get one of the premium spots there is no room for a 2nd vehicle. The 2nd vehicle has to park in front & walk to your camper. In my opinion if you have rules, EVERYONE should follow them not just the ones THEY choose. I hope you look around before the resort part gets you hooked. There are quite a few nice places with way nicer people.

Had to edit this from when I first got here. Ive been staying here for over a year for work and its getting worse everyday. The theft is a serious problem. It seems every week the police are here for another theft or attempted theft. I personally have had 4 or 5 attempts at both my coolers and Golf Cart. The owners need to do something about this. We have been being told for months now that they are going to put up cameras that work but still nothing has been done. Other things that need to improve are the grass cutting. Getting the grass cut once every 2 weeks is ridiculous. The Dumpsters are always over flowing, 3 Dumpsters for 136 or so spots is not enough. Management needs some improving. Just Sunday I was yelled at for almost backing on the grass. Then told if I have people over for Easter past 9:30pm that she was going to call the Cops on me. Not sure if its her or pressure from the owners but the last 3 or 4 months she has been getting worse and worse and as a result 3 of my co workers have left the park for another park in the area. Hopefully somebody can start making some changes here as it has potential to be a nice park.

The management was so rude to both myself and my husband, we left the park for another one. Manager has no idea how to talk to people, and loves to yell and point her finger in your face. They claim Resort, but its not, aside from paved lots and a pool, they dont have anything organized. Barely any room to park both our trucks. Oh, and if your tires even think of looking at the grass...you better watch out, you will get yelled at like a 2 year old. Management has their favorites that can break the rules, no problems, but if that manager does not like you, she will pick at everything to make your stay miserable. We would not recommend this campground to anyone. And they are also way over priced. Never again!!!

Occasionally I really appreciate a clean concrete drive and pads to be able to be free from dust and sometimes mud. People working here were friendly and cared about my opinion.

Nice place to land. Stayed a week. Saw complaints about the grass. Reason is all the previous rain, didnt want to rut the yard. Dont be afraid to ask the park manager questions. Shes a very nice, honest lady. If you dont like the park dont stay

Staff is rude including making derogitory statements to my wife. It is no resort in fact the grass is over 16 inches tall out the front door of my trailer. I have been at over 50 rv parks throughout the united states and in the two weeks ive been here I have never had such a bad experience!

Rv park has concrete pads, no shade which sucks in the tx heat. Power worked great, the showers are clean and the bathroom would make a great hiding place for a zombie apocalypse! Wifi didnt work very well and no streaming allowed, which means facebook bogged down if you had any videos on your feed. Long list of park rules, but half of them didnt seem to be followed by the people staying in the park.

Very nice clean park. Very clean bathrooms some of them en suite (all in one) which we really like. Concrete pads, not too hard to level on. Easy to find, friendly folks. Would love to go back.

I do like this Camp Ground. As I have been here they have been adding more sports and a pool. Everyone here is super friendly and neat. The only problem I had here was with the wifi connection. If your staying towards the back end it isnt as strong as if you were staying in the middle. I havent had any trouble with bugs. I definitely love how well lite they keep the area at night. They have plently of washer ans dyers on sight too. Its also very close to the mall/ shopping area. If Im in the area I would definitely stay here again.

I have now stayed at the PARVR for four months. 1-04-2014 thru 4-2015.I would not consider the campground to be considered a resort. The camper spots that are currently complete are a little small. They are currently working on additional spots that appear to be larger. On the pamphlet I received when I checked in it show different tiers. Looks like at some point some camp sites will cost more than others. I do not like how they allow the grass to grow so high before its cut. Then when the grass is cut they neglect to cut all the grass that grows around your travel trailer. The price is a little high, but I would rather be parked on a slab as opposed to a mud hole like other campground around the area.

I have been at this campground for two years now with no issues. I wanted to post a review that was fair and balanced. First the ladies at the front desk are awesome! They will go out of their way to help you anyway they can within reason. The park is a newer park so the bath house facilities are clean and well maintained. The park is well lit and they have security camers for your protection and theirs. They have a new playground for kids and a big open area for them to run and play. The prices are very reasonable for the area which all bills are included. Now to address the complaints from other reviews. I have never had a problem with roaches anywhere at the park. I personally never had any problem with fire ants. The pads are concrete but yes parking is tight all around the park, but not only are they working to add more parking, people need to stop bringing three & four vehicles, boats, and other stuff that the park shouldnt have to provide parking for. As for as charging $20 to wash your RV that is small considered to the price it cost them for water and the fact that most places wont even let you wash your RV at their parks. The cable is basic channels considered that it is included in your rent. The WiFi is slow at times but they have recently upgraded and its better. Of course when you have over hundred people half of which are streaming or playing games online that takes up a lot of bandwidth. Again WiFi is free and if you could imagine the cost of trying to give everyone top speed internet it would be outragous. Yes the office and laundry service is in a small trailer but like it is stated this is a new park and have plans to build a new office. They are currnetly constructing a pool, patio area, an several premuim spots with double parking with wider pads, and more parking spaces throughout the park. They also have plans and once the first phase is done to build new laundry, conference room, and office. There are plenty of places for you take your dog to use the bathroom, just people are lazy, inconsiderate, and do not like to pick up after their own animal. The management does a excellent job addressing all concerns that arent just outragous. Like stated this is a park that is only been open for about 3 years or not much longer than that. It is in a great location to all the refineries in SETX even the LNG terminal in Cameron,LA & Sabine Pass, TX. It is also less than five mintues to a lot of restraunts and shopping. I have enjoyed staying here with my family of six. This is a great new park that is a work in progress.

The staff is rude and its definitely over priced for what they DONT have to offer. There is barely enough room for our truck to fit on the pad without it being in the road. Also, there are two parking spots on each end of the back row, and if your not lucky enough to get one, you have to park in the very front and walk to your camper. The cable sucks, you hardly get any channels. Wifi doesnt work very well either, signal is always fading out. They charge you $20 to use their water to wash your rv (ridiculous) fire ants are insane also. This place is FAR from a resort. Do yourself a favor and dont stay here, unless its for a night or two.

Roaches! There are roaches on the premises, and they will come into your RV within a few days of being in the campground. One of the office personal, is somewhat honest about the problem and lets you know she is attempting to try and rid the problem in the bathhouse and laundry facilities, while the other office personal tries to lie about it at first, until they know you have already talked to the other person. I will admit they have put chemicals out on my lot now, even though one person thinks you should buy they stuff and do it yourself. Other then that they do keep everything clean and the grass is maintained. I wouldnt call this a resort though, there is no soap in the bath house to wash your hands with, there are no laundry carts in the washroom, there is also no pool or dog area. The area is quiet and very laid back and VERY well lit. Its a safe campground also. It would be nice, if they would spray the whole campground and perimeter for roaches and try to get them out the park. They should also, let the tenants know of the problem, before they pay for the whole month, as it is non-refundable. If the bugs where gone i would highly reccomend this place, but as of now use caution if you plan to come in.

This park was very nice and was well lit. The park had a very clean laundry room, showers and bathroom. It is very quiet at night and no problems with security issues. Felt very safe walking or riding a bike. We did have problems with our internet service. The staff was very nice and willing to help at anytime. All concrete roads made walking or riding bikes enjoyable. I would stay here again.

Agree that resort is an overstatement but this is probably your best bet if staying in the Port Arthur area. They finally fixed the internet so that it has enough bandwidth for everyone to be able to use it, so now it is excellent. The laundry facility is nice and reasonably priced. Its a pretty simple park, clean and basic. Good cable, now good internet. Lots of nice people at the park to visit with. But resort it is not - no dog park, no trees, no pool, no store, no playground and yes LOTS of fire ants so keep an eye out.
