I bring my kids here, they always have a good time catching bait fish and theres plenty of room for them to run around. I enjoy catching the big drums that run here. There are covered picnic tables and a convenience store, its also easily accessible for wheelchairs. It can get crowded sometimes but overall a great place to visit.

Stopped here on a whim and caught our pb. Clean. Wasnt busy because came only on weekdays. Not sure what the weekends are like. Would return again. Updated after a year. Playground: No slides, just swings Toilets: Restrooms finally open, used to be locked up. The inside has sinks, no hand soap, barely any toilet paper. Use if desperate because no privacy they are open stalls no doors. Theres also port-n-potties. Dog-friendliness: Lots of grassy fields to run around Picnic area: Plenty of shaded picnic tables.

We saw dolphins playing around the dock. It was pretty cool. The only reason I give it a three instead of 5 is that I assumed there must have been an event or something at some point in time that had left the park filthy with litter. We Met some nice folks fishing and walking around as well.

Really had a great time. Hearing the rushing of the waves, and the breeze blowing was awesome. There s fishing, crabbing and sight setting to name a few things that await the visitors. Do yourself a favor and explore here.

The fisherman are friendly, helpful and everyone gets along! We have been coming here for decades! The view sure has changed but the people have not. #1 thing to know BRING BUG SPRAY! If not the store across the street is $15 a can! Avoid it at all costs! The mosquitos, don t let them fool you. You will think they do not exist UNTIL the sun goes down! Bring your own lights! Unfortunately there have been only a handful of times we have been that the lights outside actually work! Pick up after yourselves so I don t have to!

My favorite fishing spot every time we come to town! It can get busy in the evenings, and its usually a bit on the windy side. I highly recommend bringing bug spray as well because the mosquitoes can be brutal. Weve been dishing here for over 30 years and between the view and the fish, you could spend hours out here. Great place to go fishing. Some of the boat ramps are still badly damaged though, especially on the North Side of the bridge. The bait shop didnt carry live bait so plan accordingly. Frozen or packaged was all they had. To be fair, i only went into the shop one time. I suggest calling beforehand to confirm. Its a good drive back to anywhere else that sells bait. All in all its a nice place to fish and spend the day with family.

Was here several months ago. Didnt stay for the amount of days we were going to. Campers are way too close together. Cant put out your awning without hitting next camper. Place is dirty also. You would think a state park would be better handled. Forgot that we had tried it before and came back just yesterday. Oh no, same situation. Packed campers almost touching each other. No thank you. I would rather boondoggle under the bridge.

Nice spot to catch fish. You can typically catch more sand trout than you can stand. Bull Reds, Specs, and flounder can be seen caught daily/nightly. Crowded at times and people tend to leave their trash scattered about.

I have poor circulation in my lower legs to the point of being given disability place cards for my vehicle because unable to walk and stand up for extended periods of time, and this park has very few beaches that people able to sit down and the pear has no beaches on it. Also the pear is not wide enough for people to bring their own lounge chairs and someone who is confined to wheelchair to get through to fish and/or just enjoy the pear.

The place is clean and fishing from a pier is available. Porta potty bathrooms. Lots of campers hooked up but many of them look permanent. If youre coming for a short stay, there may not be a place to hook up and park.

Went with grandkids to fish. They have restrooms but they lock them so you have to use a port-a-potty in the parking lot. In the middle of summer they are very uncomfortable. It was like a hot box. Had to keep going to the store across the road to potty. The area itself is really nice.

Remember to bring your fishing license because although it is recognized by tpwd as a state parks it is in fact run by the county. Also beware because people leave trash and make fires and tear the place up. If it were not for that I would give 5 stars. Two pics of fires with rusty nails left behind.

Nice place and adequate boat ramp and good also free for fishing. Bait shop is close and accessible by boat as well. Entire area is alright if you are there to fish, however it would go a long way it more effort was out into keeping the area clean. Bathrooms broken and looked to be replaced by portables. Bait shop is nice but also could use a deep clean. Outside picnic areas and fishing dock are worth the trip still.

Have taken the boys fishing there about 1/2 ma dozen times since the first of August this year. Day fishing the 1st time from around 2:00 pm until close to 10:00 pm. We had a very nice time. Since that 1st time, weve been bringing them night fishing. Its a very clean Park, with a nice family atmosphere. Very friendly people fishing the Pier and Police patrol regularly.
