Terrible drive thru service. Could only imagine what its like inside. I went through the drive through lane to order simply because it states you can. Only to sit there for forever and then have the employee roll their eyes and close the window on me after wanting to order instead of having a order for pickup. So I drove off when the next person opened the window to talk to me because I guess that how we do it on park lane.

I dont care if (some) people think this is a gringo taco spot, the tacos were delicious! I went on a trip from out of town, dine-in first, then a return for late night drive-thru. The Cuban taco piles on plenty of pork, three ways. The Blackened Shrimp was flavorful. My favorites though, were the Nashville breaded Tofu with pickles craveworthy, and especially the Fried Paneer taco perfect texture of paneer, breading, Thai basil, loved it. Staff is super friendly and awesome!

So last week my husband and I went to this place and we were famished so we tried whatever vegetarian options appeared on the menu and we tried one paneer tikka taco and one tofu taco along with the half corn and half guac with nachos. However, the tastiest thing I liked was the guac with nachos. The tofu taco was okay and I wont have it again paneer tikka was better than that but the best part was the guac and nachos along with sparkling water. If I have to recommend I d say try the classic guac they have the best there.

Your new Manager at the Plano location, Jamir, is AMAZING! So professional, so friendly, and so customer service oriented! He saw a framed photo collage I had made for my friend who I was meeting there so I could give it to her, because she had recently lost a beloved pet. He asked about the situation and was genuinely sincere in his condolences. We were there approximately 4 hours (because the vibe, the music, the food, the margaritas, and the staff are so great!) I watched him interact with various customers and he is so consistently AMAZING. Hes a fantastic asset to have as part of your team! We will definitely be back regularly! Great job Jamir! Velvet Taco in Plano is a great place to have lunch or dinner. The staff are some of the coolest people around, always friendly and welcoming. I often go here with my family or order through the app and bring it home, so weve experienced both dining in and takeout. The food is usually always good, making it a reliable spot for a tasty meal. However, its far from excellence due to the fact that they are always really forgetful when it comes to orders. This can be frustrating, especially since its not cheap and can be pretty taxing on the wallet. Other than that, Velvet Taco is pretty good, and I give it 4 stars.

Ate here recently, and it was my first time trying Velvet Taco. The vibe at this location is pretty cool; nice shopping area with a good selection of restaurants and stores. Their patio is very nice and specious, but would be nicer if they had some fans w/ misters. The taco selection is great! Several choices of meat (beef, chicken, seafood & pork) and veggie tacos to choose from. Our group had the Chimichurri Steak, Brisket, Chicken Tikka, Picnic Chicken, Mexicali Shrimp, Fish & Chips, and the Smash Burger tacos !! All were delicious and had really fresh ingredients. Although we immensely enjoyed the food, two ppl in our party, who had the Sangria Swirl, both became sick , so we had to abruptly cut the evening short. Definitely will go again, but next time will stick with the beer

Horrible service at Pick up. The guys watch you waiting for 5 to 10 mins and do not even acknowledge whereas the cars pile up. With such horrible service not ever going to this location. Unfortunately VT Plano is not a good idea when getting closer to closing time. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and one shrimp. They were thrown together where they looked worse than deli tacos at a Race Trac. Yet I am sure Race Trac takes better care of the food quality leaving the kitchen. All three of my tacos were gross and uneatable I also ordered queso and chips and it was fine. I ordered Crispy tots with egg on top and it was not included in my to go bag. Horrible food preparation and taste was a 0. Don t waste your time going to VT Plano. Truly reminded me of pig slop!

Mgr Mike and Dani were amazing. They truly made our day. They were so nice and helpful. Dani and Mike answered all of our questions with a smile. The whole staff represented Velvet Taco in the higest regard. Surprisingly, this was our first time ever trying Velvet Taco. World Class service!!!! We will definitely tell our friends and family. This is a great fast casual Mexican food place. It is definitely a new go to when our family is craving tacos. They have wide selection of regular options and innovative Weekly specials. It is also good with Gluten free selections also. Dietary restrictions: I have a gluten sensitivity and no issues.

First time here- we loved it! Food was great and was nice atmosphere! Laid back and food was prepared quickly! My son is a picky eater- me not so much- and he said the Gridle was his second favorite thing I ever ate!
