I only go there for the Bulgogi Fries. They are the best I have had. I always go there in the mind set to try something else but end up ordering the fries. To me it s a must have. This place has limited seats so won t recommend dine-in for big groups.

I have been here before and this was only my second time. Why hadn t I come back til now, it wasn t prime, it was just only fine. Do you see the steam coming from my bowl this food will be amazing. Let me have a moment to take a bite so I can stop food gazing. The dumplings were fried and lacked a bit of flavor, the ramen was hearty but the broth I could not savor. I am pleased that you can add all the ingredients that your heart desires. It just didn t come together like other ramens I have had with flavors my palette requires. I can t put my finger on what was missing for me on this visit, but I can probably say I may not return for my taste buds require foods that are exquisite. I do hope they stay around for the people that enjoy them most, because the staff was pleasant and I do thank you for being a good host.

I ordered two bowls of ramen yesterday for lunch via DoorDash. I actually had heard of this place but didn t bother to really check it out since I feel like there are so many ramen places that are competitors that offer the same things. So basically I almost overlooked this spot but decided to go for it on a whim since I was curious. I was pleasantly surprised since I opted for the create your own ramen and just that was awesome - the ability to create your own ramen AND they offer *chicken miso*. I think I m a fan now since I honestly don t like pork or pork-based anything so I usually avoid ramen. But I think the chicken miso is something I will come back for! I only took off one star since I felt the broth was a bit too salty (kept having to drink a lot of water) so please consider a low sodium option.

This is a small place good for parties up to 3 or 4 people as seating is limited. You have to order at the counter, and for some reason, youre expected to leave a tip. I had the ramen with pork, and it was a fairly large plate. The ingredients seemed fresh, and the broth was tasty but nothing extraordinary.

Nice little place, definitely worth the visit. It was awesome they had vegan options and my friend loved it. I got pork miso with beef and veggies and super flavorful. Bathroom was clean but a dusty and small in the restaurant. No issues with service but saw a ton of to go orders while we ate so thats a good thing. Overall, nice place and I plan on going back soon.

If youre in the area, please give this place a try. Ive been ordering here for years and the service is always great, the prices are awesome, and the food is consistently amazing. I usually order the BBQ combo w/BBQ Chicken & Bulgogi Beef w/ a side of extra japchae and the amount of food you get is impressive. Ive not once received cold, under cooked or unseasoned food here. Keep in mind it is a smaller restaurant so if you have a large party seating will be the only downside.

First let me start by saying the service was great! The lady behind the counter was very friendly and attentive. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was not good though. The meat was watery. It tasted like it was boiled in unseasoned water. Sure it was tender, but tender meat that tastes like nothing isnt very appetizing. The broth was flavorless and tasted watered down too. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but I will not return.

The curry ramen was really tasty, but the customer service was terrible. The guy behind the counter had his headphones in and was getting frustrated because he couldnt hear what we were saying. He seemed annoyed that we were there asking for food. He finally took one headphone out to take our order and promptly put it back in his ear. The air conditioning seemed to be broken as well, it must have been about 90° in there. Great food but at least have cashiers who dont treat your customers like theyre an inconvienece.

Best ramen I have ever had. My go-to is the curry ramen, but I ve had many other dishes here and have yet to find one I dislike. The food is fresh and delicious, with a rich broth and tender meat. The noodles are an excellent texture and the staff is always amazing and fast for such a tiny restaurant . I can t believe it s never packed whenever I go in. Its been near my home all along, but Ive never stopped in this hole-in-the-wall but I found Bols through great online reviews and WOW, WERE WE BLOWN AWAY AT THIS RESTAURANT. Update: 07/27/2022 I havent been in a while due to the last time we went in Sept. 2021 whoever was cooking that day (all new crew) messed up our orders and didnt know what the items I was requesting in my bowl were. Dine in. I had the chicken tacos and veggie mondu. Loved my tacos but it was a miss on the mondu. I was expecting it to be more flavorful but it had a weird taste. My friend had the bibimbop and he thought it was great. The miso soup was cold. There was a line of people after 8pm so it s quite popular. Our meals were $30 including a $3 tip it s quite pricey for fast food. They need to do a deep cleaning on the inside floors were sticky and the bathrooms weren t terrible but just overall the place could use some Clorox and 409!

I was testing out this place. Some absolutely great ramen! Tremendously delicious! Some of the best I have ever had in Dallas! I can not recommend them enough! You gotta go here to eat! I got the spicy pork miso ramen with straight noodles, broccoli, carrot, sweet corn, and garlic and onion flakes. This is our 2nd time we went there. We ordered: Tonkatsu and Kimchi ramen, bulgogi fries and Korean fried chicken (I forgot the exact name). I love the ramen noodle here than ramen Hakata. The broth is thick and rich. The pork are so tender and delicious. What I meant tender is really really tender. It s easily breakable when in your mouth. My daughters can eat them. They love ramen here. Bulgogi fries is the Bomb!! Love the sweet, savory and crunchy at the same time. I asked them sour cream on the side. The Korean fried chicken is great also. Great customer service. Lots of take out order. They have snacks to sell too such as choco pie (this is so good) and seaweeds. You know the adage that the little hole-in-the-wall places have the best food? BOLS is the perfect example. I have eaten here many times. I have eaten in, picked up take out and hate Grubhub deliver to my work which is about 1/2 mile away. It is ALWAYS fantastic. I usually have the tacos and sometimes Karaage or Ramen. It is all so consistently excellent. Theyve made the menu so that you pick everything you want in your Ramen, for example. 4 or 5 different different meats for the tacos, they have very good chashu buns. Tonight we went in and we took a friend whod never been. The A/C had gone out today. Now, if I order, wait for my food (maybe 15 minutes at he most...Theyre fast!), AND eat my food there with no A/C, that food is GOOD. Try this place, patronize this place. It is so good!

A very nice simple lunch dining experience. If I lived nearby I would order takeout frequently. The ramen miso and veg wee are satisfying. The Korean rice bowl was served hot, fresh and tasty. Enjoy!

Absolutely delicious! I had the bibimbap in a stone bowl (for that yummy crisp rice on the bottom) and a bbq bulgogi bao. They were both flavorful and piping hot. I was greeted right away and the food came rather quickly.

Not the Ramen we need, but the one we deserve! This place is down right great! It feels like Im in Japan right now. Play some licensed music (secretly) and put some news papers up in Japanese and Im there. The menu is extensive and creative. Japanese fast food mixed with Korean. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen Bulgogi taco And Takoyaki. Everything was delicious, especially the taco. I was rather disappointed when I got my egg hardboiled but it was made up for how delicious the noodles were. A little different with the broccoli included but you know its good anyway. Definitely hit up this hidden spot! 10/10 would recommend

I tried this place out for delivery on a whim and I was so surprised to have delicious and piping hot ramen delivered to me. I was Obsessed. I finally went in person with my partner and after one bite of the bulgogi bun, he said we are coming back. This place rocks. I had a soy ramen and he had the bibimbap. Both delicious and fresh as well. I had it today and am already craving it again.

Friendly staff and good portion for the price. The food is of course delicious. Everything is well seasoned and marinaded. We got the shoyu ramen, Bols fries, and the katsu curry. Our favorite was the katsu curry.

Chicken curry and Bols fries were amazing and very flavorful. I highly recommend this place, but if I was to give one negative, I would say the fries had too much sauce on it (personal opinion). I wanted to try the gumbo ramen, but it was not available at this time.

I had the spicy pork miso ramen. It was great! My wife had the curry chicken katsu, which was also awesome. Definitely recommend this place. There is very little inside seating, so be prepared to take your food to go.

After reading several positive reviews, we decided to try Bols. We love to try different Asian establishments amd were excited to try this one. They have pictures of several of their items on the wall to the left when you walk in and then the main menu above in front of you. My fiance ordered the bulgolgi tacos and chicken karrage. I ordered a miso Korean BBQ Ramen with curly noodles green onions, Brussel sprouts, and an extra egg with bulgolgi fries as a side. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered! My fiancés bulgolgi tacos were so good! My Ramen broth was delicious and the Korean BBQ was soft and tender. The bulgolgi fries were amazing! The chicken karrage was a great side choice as well. The young gentleman who took our order was quite helpful amd they got our food to us quickly. We will definitely look forward to eating here again!

My daughter and I ranked the ramen bowls here as the best weve had yet! The broth is so rich and flavorful. I got the kimchi Ramen which had some nice heat to it. The egg was cooked soft. The pork was tender and thinly sliced. This is a small establishment on the inside but its worth seating inside and enjoying a large bowl of ramen. Definitely a place I can go to over and over again.

Such a wonderful experience. Japanese and Korean dishes that I grew up with. Great hospitality and amazing food. They messed up on the order, but quickly made up for it without hesitation. They really took care of my family and I. Definitely recommend this place.

I discovered Bols about a week ago, 10/31/20 and this is my second time here. Both times I called ahead and picked up, the customer service has been excellent both times. I want to start off by saying it s so refreshing to have an high quality KBBQ spot in West Plano. I mean don t get me wrong, I love Korea Town in Carrollton but Bols is closer and parking is not an issue here. The last two times I have made my own KBBQ Bols. I have only good things to say about the Bulgogi. It s fantastic, there s a real charcoal flavor - not that artificial stuff. I opted for Fried Rice as my base and had no regrets. Add an assortment of veggies for toppings and a runny sunny side up egg and you have a hearty meal all to yourself. I had one issue and I honestly won t drop stars for it because why would I ruin it for everyone else: I felt like there was more Bulgogi than rice in my bol-both times. I feel guilty complaining about such a beautiful thing that happened to me twice. Here s a break down: -Bulgogi 5/5 -Fried Rice 5/5 -Assorted Veggies 5/5 -Sunny Side Egg 5/5 Overall Experience 6/5 I highly recommend checking this place out and supporting a small business, especially during these troubling times.

Have gone here once or twice every week all year. My favorite place in plano area. Ive been disappointed that the quality has suddenly dropped. My order is consistently wrong, my korean bbq bowl seems to lack all flavor. Itll be a while before I come back.

Amazing flavor! I ordered the spicy Korean BBQ bowl with tofu and nearly all of the veggies. Very good flavor! Not too spicy for a spice lover but they have plenty of spices you can add to turn up the heat. Friendly and prompt service. Clean interior. Small space for dining in but it still deserves a five star rating. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
