I s really a disrespect to say that Lima Taberna is a Peruvian restaurant, it s an offense to me because I m from Peru. I ordered ceviche, lomo saltado and Jalea, it was amazing how they laughed at us because the food tasted anything but not Peruvian. I will never comeback and something else It s very expensive

The food isnt authentic Peruvian. Went with both my Peruvian parents, been to Peru multiple times, and been to a lot of Peruvian places in DFW and this was by far the worst one and also the most expensive one. Paid $20 for the smallest appetizer of Causa Ive ever seen, then got Seco de Carne which was overcooked and dry. My dad got arroz chaufa and it was not only very Americanized, but also maybe half a cup of rice at best. 3 people, 3 dishes, 1 appetizer and it came out to $120 because they also automatically gave themselves a 20% tip and had no shame to ask for more on top of that. Wasnt good dining, and definitely not fine-dining, so save your money and go to any other Peruvian restaurant because theyre actually authentic and care more about quality than a quick cash grab.

I was disappointed.... at first we had the yuca and Chica morada and that was tasty. But the aji de gallina, tallarines verdes, and lomo all lacked flavor. This is not an authentic Peruvian flavor. Especially for the price, I expected better quality. The whole family is Peruvian and had the chance to visit several Peruvian restaurants in the DFW and this is one of the last places that dont come close to the flavors of Peruvian food. Not only that the server not helpful, but when asked about the menu she didnt know.

I always give a vote of doubt to restaurants but this one hit the nail on the head with all the dishes I tried, extremely horrible, I dont use the dressing, the portions are too small, I order takeout, they wet everything with juice, its seriously disgusting. If you live in Dallas and want to eat more or less well, I recommend CUZCO TINEO MUNAY For Peruvian food but this restaurant disappointed me in the taste of the food alone. I am not interested in the size of the portion itself but the flavor must be of another nationality, the chef and not Peruvian.

I recently dined at Lima Taverna, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The ambience was delightful. The food was delicious, offering a wonderful array of flavors that truly satisfied my taste buds. What stood out the most was the amazing customer service. The owner himself came to our table and offered us a unique local Peruvian drink that he personally imported from Peru. This thoughtful gesture added a special touch to our dining experience. I am definitely looking forward to many more visits to this restaurant.

I recently dined at Lima Taverna, a Peruvian restaurant and had a rather mixed experience. The dishes, though authentically spicy, were a bit too hot for my taste. The coffee, however, stood out with its unique flavors and impressive presentation. The tres leches dessert was quite delightful, as the sangria. Despite the steep prices, the warm and friendly service added a pleasant touch to the evening. Overall, I would rate my experience at 4 stars.

Went here for mothers day Ive been several times there food was Awsome little pricey but worth it. However something changes. I order lomo saltado my favorite dish, I was there with my wife, son, and his girlfriend When I got my plate I honestly thought they left half of it in the kitchen. Same with everyone else portion had shrank. They have me 4 small meat 3 potato wedges I had more Tomatoes then potato or meat and 1/2 cup of rice. 4 people just dinner nothing crazy was just under $300.00 not only did they shrink the portions they increased the price. Ill never go back. That is no where fancy enough to be $300 meal. They took advantage of us. I should of looked at the prices but Ive been there several times and the price never been issue. I could of went to Texan Brazil and would of got all you could eat for that. It ashame they did that.

Stepping into Lima Latin Kitchen in Dallas is like entering a Peruvian festival vibrant flavors everywhere, but boy, do you pay for the entrance! The ceviche dazzles, each spoonful a mini vacation to the shores of Lima, but the papa a la huancaína could have used a bit more spice to truly bring the fiesta to my taste buds. The chicharrón? It s decent, sort of like that reliable friend who s fun but never the life of the party. And those canchas priced as if each kernel was individually blessed by Incan royalty. ImThe service, however, is top-notch, so friendly and attentive that you almost feel like you ve been adopted by a warm Peruvian family. Would I go back? Sure, the food is quite a treat, but I still think it s priced as if each dish is delivered by Incan gods in golden chariots pulled by exotic llamas. Lima Latin Kitchen is perfect for those splurge-worthy occasions, just make sure your wallet is as sturdy as a Machu Picchu terrace!

Love their Sour Pisco drink and Chicha Morada (non-alcoholic). The food is so delicious and meat is cooked just right. I will definitely recommend people to try this awesome Peruvian food; not only flavored but it cones with good presentation. I must say, it s kind of expensive but the price is worth the food you get to taste. Kid-friendliness: Kds are always welcome, options for kids to eat. I would recommend sharing because the plates are big enough; especially if kids are very young. If you got a picky eater then I would not suggest taking them there.

First time eating Peruvian. Johnny and James were great and had excellent suggestions for first timers. The Ceviche Mixto and Empanadas were great starters. We had the ravioli, shredded chicken, and Asian fusion seafood. Everything was outstanding. If you are looking for great food and great people look no further. We highly recommend Lima Taverna!

I went during lunch with my sister today and we had an excellent time. Our waitress was kind and provided excellent service. We also were serviced by James and he was so kind and insightful! The food was delicious. I ordered the tallarines verdes con asado with white wine and my sister ordered the arroz con pollo with macuya. I will be back again!

This is NOT peruvian food!! A peruvian will never give this restaurant 2 stars Food is bland, no real peruvian flavors, jalea is a fried seafood dish, ours was anything but fried, parihuela is a seafood soup, ours was something with a weird taste and unopened mussle... so very disappointed not only for the food but for those ridiculous prices... get real. I requested 1 extra picaron in my order but waiter said cant do... really?? Ill never recommend this place to a good friend nor any dish... dont waste your money!!

Good place, but the food is very expensive for the amount they serve, for a single person I spent $45, the dish was rice with two shrimp, not even in Olive Garden They say it is Peruvian and the menus are in English, the dishes are not even those from there. 2/10

The food was very delicious but TERRIBLE ATTENTION. There is a GRACELESS lady who served us and neither the smile nor the slightest gesture of attention (the classic questions Is everything okay? Would you like anything else? What did you think of the food? ) small things that make a big difference (we were the only ones in the restaurant) not to say that there were many people. But hey, even to do something well you need desire, hence the very pleasant atmosphere and food.

We have gone to Lima Taverna many times and it never disappoints. I love the Lomo Saltado and wife gets the Ceviche and loves it too. Staff is always friendly. Owner Elíseo makes us feel at home! Great for birthday parties, date night, and a night out with friends. We recently celebrated wife s birthday and had a great time!

The place is cozy, the service is good but it lacks some attention, I changed my order for the Pisco Sour but the person did not listen to it, and before touching it I told him that I changed the order but he told me that he would go and ask how he could solve it and he came back saying that nothing could be done, I had to have something I didnt want, then the bread arrived late and was over toasted, I asked for a jelly, it lacked the crunchiness, the fish they used is not suitable for this dish, the loin salted, cooked meat, the product price ratio is not correct,

Terrible service, the worst thing is that the owner himself served us, gave us a table and left, he did not offer us water or the menu, everyone passed by and never came to serve us, I felt ignored, also the food is not good, there is a long way to go to go Being a restaurant with good Peruvian food, a total lack of respect. I will not return to this place.

There were no people in the restaurant, the server was pushy, and the food was lack luster. I ordered a bottle of Peruvian wine, and the waiter brought us a bottle of Josh wine from California that I ve seen at Target for $10. We got our appetizer, ate half of it, paid, and left. The Leche de Tigre was very clearly not sea bass, as the menu claimed, and it had more vegetable that fish. Not worth the price at all. Dietary restrictions: Not gluten friendly and very few vegetarian options.

Oh, well! Where could I start? We felt robbed. I asked for water after dessert and instead of bringing water from the jar, I was brought a small Arrowhead and I got charged 2 50. On the bill it said, essential water. Dont order their jar of sangria which is 50 dollars each. They have a dish called Parrillada, I asked if it was good enough for three people, and they said yes. That dish is almost 50 dollars, and no three people could eat from there.
