Truly enjoyed our Brunch! My favorite was the pineapple Mimosa! The service was excellent and fast! The only thing I was not crazy about was the carrot cake pancakes. I love all carrot desserts! I really thought this was up my alley. For my taste it had too much of the lavender spice. I did taste all the other Dishes and YUMMY! The build your own bloody mary area is a great idea! We had to order a Whiskey Cake to go! We enjoyed it at home. This was a cool experience! Will be back!!

5 stars all around. We called ahead of time due to a horrible experience at another restaurant before we arrived at this one to make sure it was kid friendly. The atmosphere was amazing as was the food. I recommend the pork chop! We arrived a little late but not once did our waiter give us any attitude or rudeness he was very polite and patient, and even gave us a dessert on the house due to it being our first time there. He definitely made our night! We ll definitely be back and coming for more of their delicious whiskey cake. Kid-friendliness: My son loved this place

Excellent place with great food, ambiance, and service. Sarah was excellent and offered opinions and suggestions. The Tavern burger was cooked perfectly to my request and had lots of flavor. The brioche bread was so soft and lent its own level of flavor. My wifes Chicken and Waffles were among the best we have ever tasted. There was flavor throughout every bite. The whiskey flight presentations were great, and the old-fashioneds were made well - however, a little on the sweeter side. Overall, they have a good selection of whiskeys.

I have always been a huge fan of Whiskey Cake. I will say our last visit was a bit disappointing. I still gave 5 stars because its probably just a taste preference. They changed my favorite sandwich. I used to go there for special occasions to get the turkey sandwich. It was stacked high with meat, cheese, avocado, and I took the bacon off. Well come to find out without reading the description I ordered the sandwich and they changed it. Its a pesto sandwich now. It tasted okay but am super sad that it changed. It was my comfort place where I have memories of going while I was pregnant and would visit the doctor across the street. So if you are anything like me and associate food with memories, be aware of this change.

This place has a great vibe ! Went out for a lazy Sunday drinks with friends and enjoyed my time there. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and had some very good recommendations. Whiskey Cake in Plano never disappoints! This time I had the Tri Tip Dip Sandwich with a side of their perfectly seasoned fries and the house-made spicy ketchup. Let me just say this dish is absolutely incredible. The tender tri-tip paired with the rich au jus takes this sandwich to another level. The fries were crispy, golden perfection, and the spicy ketchup added a fantastic kick. To start, I couldn t resist their candied bacon appetizer, and it was to die for! Someone with low vision it is really nice to see so many windows and this restaurant. We went from my friends birthday he just moved to Texas and we suggested whiskey cake he got one of the flights of whiskey which were delish and ordered the ribs they were good but he did not like the mustard sauce and with no extra charge they made him more ribs with no mustard sauce. Now thats service no one complained no one came out to talk to us in a negative manner they just handled the situation and took care of us.

My husband and I took out son here yesterday to celebrate his birthday. When we first walked in, we were told by the young lady at the front, as she gazed at the podium, they would be a 15 minute wait although there were multiple empty tables. She never made eye contact. I just shrug that off. And I m glad I did! Because from there forward, we had a wonderful experience. There s a small sitting area with a couch and two chairs that was empty. We walked over to that area to wait for our table, I m not sure how much time went by as we were just enjoying each other s company. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was amazing! We started with the goat cheese and toast, appetizer, which was yummy. My son ordered the shrimp and grits, which was phenomenal. He offered me a taste. I just wanted to hold the spoon in my mouth and savoir the deliciousness. I ordered the roasted chicken and kale salad, which was very good. And my husband ordered the tavern burger and fries. His burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were deliciously seasoned. We finished our meal with one of each of their two desserts which we couldn t finish amongst the three of us, and 2 cups of their French press coffee. The whiskey cake was to die for the chocolate pie/cake was also very good but even my husband, the chocolate fiend, said next time we should just get the whiskey cake. This was our first time, but I can definitely say it won t be our last. I m planning on celebrating my next birthday, this coming October, at Whiskey Cake.

Very chill environment but honestly the staff is way too slow it takes forever to get a table cleaned off or a drink or our food and the people next to us have been waiting way to long just to close there check. Not sure what the wait staff is doing on a Saturday night but it sure in the hell isn t taking care of there tables because they are no where to be found more then half the time an the food takes way to long to come out. If you have any plans to do after dinner don t eat here because you will definitely be late because of how slow they are.

Was very disappointed with the service. I ordered an Ultra beer and she brought me a dark colored beer that was not Ultra. I told her it wasnt Ultra and she rudely said she would take it back. She brought the same kind back and said she watched him poor it. I said well it must be hooked up to the wrong keg. She left and came back with our food and didnt say anything about my beer. Not worth the money. We walked in at 5pm on a Tuesday and we were told the only seating they had was in the patio and that anything inside was a 45 to an hour wait time. We decided to each at the bar and while my husband enjoyed his old fashioned the cosmo I had was really disappointing. Our waiter was attentive, food was meh, but the atmosphere was great. Only issue we ran into was when we asked for the check, my husbands card was run for $120+ opposed to the $80+ we had ordered. It was corrected when we asked a different bartender about the issue but I can only imagine what would have happened if we never realized the issue before we left the restaurant. Met a couple girlfriends at Whiskey Cake for a casual Sunday dinner. Had been to this venue at least twice before but was my first time ordering the pork chop! It was so tender and I d say perfectly prepared. The brussels sprouts were not impressive. I expected something crispy but these were hard, not crispy and undercooked. We frequent Whiskey Cake often for their brunch! My husband always gets the Chicken and Waffles (always with extra gravy) and my favorite is the Croque Madame-It! The staff here is always wonderful, we ve had Kevin a handful of times and he takes the best care of us. Honestly, the best experience and customer service from both the server JC and manager Kurtis. Without asking the manager Kurtis took a meal off due to it not coming out with the rest of tables meal we were not even bothered but he went above and beyond to make sure his customers were taken care of! Hipster Heaven. I was expecting so much more. It wasnt bad, but its just expensive for what it is. Ill try not to rant here and keep things simple and accurate. The food: immaculate presentation, BUT THE VEGETABLES ARE SUPERB! Ive literally never had more well-prepared veggies. The service at the bar was fantastic by every staff member I was involved with. And the general atmosphere is unlike what I see at 70% of any place Ive been to. Great background music, lighting is fantastic for a small get together. Now for the important part: the whiskey made me feel like a neurotypical person! I usually have a good amount of trouble with alcohol and indigestion but no such problems here! Just being at this place made me feel so baseline good! I went to this place on a Sunday. When we arrived there were at most 5 tables already sat. When we approached the hostess stand, she asked for a name and phone number, which is bizaare since the place was dead. It felt very scketchy. Once we were seated, the waiter we got was friendly, but he must have been new. He took our drink orders, and then once those came to the table, he then took our appetizer orders. Once those came, he walked off and helped another table. I had to stop him when he walked back by to take our entrée order. He did so politely. It took ~15 minutes for us to order the entrees. We had ordered Old Fashioneds but they didnt come with cherrys. I had to ask him to bring some. when he came back with the cherrys, he said the company doesnt automatically provide them because it can affect the quality of the whiskey. Im not sure if he just forgot the cherries or if the restaurant actually has a policy like that. Seems theyre just being cheap. We ordered the candied bacon, which was very good. We also got the deviled eggs, which were very mediocre. We also had an order of the Chile BBQ Glazed Duck Wings, which was also very good. Entress we ordered: Rotisserie farm bird. This was a very large portion of chicken, but the sides were very small. It did taste good. Smoked chopped chicken, which is a salad, and it was just ok. The last thing ordered is what I had, and it was the worst thing I have had in a very long time. I ordered, on the menu is listed as Shepards Pie. I frequent Irish restaurants, so one would think it would have meat, potatoes, peas, carrots ,and gravy. Admittedly, I glanced over the description since it was in the Mains section of the menu. What I received was lentils in a bland sauce covered in mashed potatoes, and there were 3 pieces of small carrots. It was so bland and disappointing. To add insult to injury, they are charging $20 for this. That is outrageous for some of the cheapest ingredients. I did look up the menu online afterward, and it appears to be a little different than the one we were provided in store. Would not recommend this restaurant, and I will never go back to this restaurant chain.

We went for happy hour and ordered their martinis and blue cheese chips and waygu corn dogs. Blue cheese chips were amazing. The waygu corn dogs were good, but to be honest, by the time you dunk them in either ketchup or mustard (you had to ask for mustard), the dogs didnt need to be waygu (just away to charge more). The martini hit the spot. Met the executive chef outside checking on the herbs they grow in baskets that they use in the kitchen. Quite friendly and happy to chat about the stuff they grow around the restaurant so they can use it in the kitchen! I would definitely go back.

The place has great food options. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of parking available. Food was really good and served hot. My friend and I had the best server Michael. He literally made the whole experience amazing from beginning to end. He continued to check on us even after we paid our bill. Made sure we had plenty of water and I would see him periodically just glancing over to see if we needed anything. I ll be back mainly because of the care and courtesy he provided. 10/10 Michael!

Ive been coming here for over 4 years. The food is always great, but what keeps me coming back is the incredible service at the bar. ADAM and KENNY are always attentive and make me feel like a VIP guest. They always go above and beyond to make our experience special and thats what really drives us to keep coming back. These two are elite bartenders in my personal opinion, because they take the time to engage in conversation with you while also managing an entire bar of guests (and it gets super busy here). No matter how busy it gets, I always feel welcomed and prioritized when Adam and Kenny are at the bar. Tonight we had the mussels, crab cake fritters and the new golden beet salad. Everything was amazing!

Stopped in for lunch & ate at the bar. For merely a half hour after they opened the doors, the place was packed! The bar staff were clearly very busy, but provided decent service, regardless. As for the environment, it was the standard industrial-chic theme thats become fairly ubiquitous amongst hipster craft beer\cocktail establishments these days. The highlight was definitely the spirits library behind the bar-- very impressive! I ordered the shrimp & grits, which was very flavorful and savory. Though I realize it is a rich dish, I still found myself wishing for just a little more of it. I ended the meal with the whiskey cake, which came drizzled with caramel, pecans, and vanilla whipped cream! The slice was so big, I needed a box. I feel that if the entree were just a little bigger and dessert just a little smaller, it would have been perfect. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique cocktail and some good food to go with it!

Came here for my birthday and the atmosphere of the place was great. Service was pretty good but I felt like small details could have more work. The hot towels we were given for the duck wings were drenched with water so when we took them out water spilled on our laps. The duck was super tasty but I was disappointed with the lack of meat. I don t think it was worth the price we paid for it. The addition of cilantro made it taste exceptional but I almost wish there was more for flavor. The rigatoni was so good, but I feel like it could have been cooked a minute longer. The dish was served hot, but I noticed a huge difference in temperature as I dug into it. Felt as if these dishes were premade and then just reheated. (Correct me if wrong if this is not the case). Fiancee ordered steak frites. She had requested medium rare and the steak was more on the super rare side. The fries felt like they were the consistency of IN N OUT fries, so she was disappointed they weren t crispier. Would we eat here again? Yes, absolutely. Overall the experience was great. Server was also super nice and attentive to our needs. Yes I could have communicated the small issues in person, but didn t want to bring this up in front of my fiancee who was treating me. 7/10 recommend.

Female bartender made me very uncomfortable with the way she treated me in comparison to the other patrons at the bar even though I am a professional and worthy of good service just as much as anyone else. I won t speculate as to why, but there was a clear difference between me and the others and her attitude reflected her ideas about that. I still graciously tipped, but I will probably not be returning. The food was good and I m a whiskey-lover. But I like being treated well and experiences like that leave a bad taste in your mouth. For what it s worth, I had good experiences with the other bartenders (who were all male) and didn t feel misjudged by any of them. If I ever do decide to return, I will make sure I m serviced by one of them instead. It will be a while before that happens, though, if at all.

If you plan on dining-in with a group larger than 6, expect your food to be delayed, service uninspired, and experience to generally be sub-par. For the cost of $20+ per person you can anticipate being ignored by multiple members of the waitstaff and when they bring you food that has been salted to high-heaven, expect there to be a 15 minute period before you can get a drink refill. The bloated menu and unremarkable atmosphere is not worth the price of admission. If you plan on dining here, I hope you have a better experience than me.
