Not much going on. The house is cool to see as a part of history but again...not much to see in there. I do love all the animals present in the farm. Very fun to walk around and see them. Beware of parking they save their designated parking lot for handicapped parking so you will most likely have to park along the street. If you dont have kids you will most likely be in an out in under an hour

Really cute historical farm! My kids had a great time at the story telling of 3 little pigs. Their favorite parts were the tractor lead wagon ride, and seeing the animals. Great place for a short morning trip with little ones, and love that its conveniently located in the heart of Plano. Some of the volunteers working there were a little rough around the edges with the kids, especially for people who are interacting with young children. Otherwise its a really lovely site! Definitely recommend.

Great museum and farm experience, friendly for children and strollers. They have some farm animals and historic buildings that you can see or enter and learn about. Hosts a camp in the summer for elementary and middle school ages that I spend a lot of time at as a camp counselor.

We visited Heritage Farmstead on a school field trip. I highly recommend this place! 5 stars is not enough for the treatment we received. We came with a group of special needs kiddos and Heritage Farm knew exactly what to do. They had us separated into groups and then stations. The stations were so hands on, short and sweet to the point, just the right amount. We then got to have lunch on their garden which we were joined by the chickens. We will be returning here. LOVED this place! Thank Heritage for your kindness.

This place is so cute and a great place to visit. The main home is probably the most well preserved historic home I ve ever been to. All the artwork and wallpaper and a lot of the furniture is original bc it was only one family who owned it before the museum bought it. Ammie Wilson was the last person who lived there and she died in the 1970s. The tour guide was so sweet and informative. She gave a great tour! And it was only 10 dollars per person for the house and grounds tour.

This is such an enjoyable place for the whole family. There are plethora lights, very well placed, and designed for kids to run around and enjoy. Additionally, there are so many spots for everyone to pose and click for memories. And also, its quite a big place to walk around for over an hour - that adds to the relaxing experience. The icing on the cake was the marshmallow barbeque experience. Id only expect more varieties in the food trucks - such as fries, although my daughter loves the donut-holes. Highly recommend!!

Heritage Farmstead Museum is a historical treasure! Stepping onto the grounds feels like a journey back in time. The well-preserved buildings, knowledgeable guides, and authentic artifacts create an immersive experience. The farmstead offers a glimpse into pioneer life, showcasing the challenges and triumphs of early settlers. The meticulous restoration of the Victorian Farrell-Wilson House is a testament to the commitment to preserving history.

I had heard about Heritage Farmstead Museum but never had a chance to visit until this year. They have this holiday lights event at night and we decided to come with the immediate family. We had a party of 12 and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking was easy, the Museum had staff outside directing traffic. Inside, there were plenty of fun photo sets for both kids and grownups. They were selling mini donuts, hot chocolate and even smore sets that you could cook over these small sections with little fire pits. Everyone had a blast. We will need to come back to see what the place looks like in the morning one of these days.

Tip: most crowded is at opening, there were a lot less crowds 7pm onwards. Wonderful place to visit to see the lights, decorations, and farm animals (chickens, hogs, Shrek donkey, and turkey). Although relatively a small area, we spent almost three hours, since you walk through it like at ikea, and you have option to buy hot chocolate ($5) and smores kit. There are about ten has fire pits around the large Christmas tree where you can sit and make your smore. Hard to find a spot though unless later in the evening. Kids loved playing on the light up hopscotch on the ground! As well as the Trolls performance. Besides with Santa there are a ton of great places to take selfies.

I dont know how it is as a visitor, but I wont be recommending anybody send their kids there to volunteer during their summer camps. There is no adult supervision and the kids that come (at least one in particular) are physically abusive to the teenage volunteers and nothing is done about it. If I were running this place then I would kick the abusive kids out so it doesnt ruin it for these kids who are volunteering their time to try and make a good experience for others. You can count on not getting any more support from my family for this place.

The covered outdoor dining area, tables, & chairs were very nice & comfortable. Unfortunately - the electricity was out (possibly due to the storm the night before) so the ceiling fans and decorative lights didnt work. But the June Texas heat was relatively mild - so all went well. Great place for group gatherings!

Had a great time with the family here. They had decorated for Christmas and have done a truly wonderful job with the lights and having syned to the music in various areas! Come see the lights with your family, make scores, take photos and make memories!!! There are souvenirs for purchase and some food items. It was not very crowded at yhe time but it could get that way real quick. Parking was next door at a store called BT furnishings. Parking was free but there is a cover charge to go inside the Museum. There were animals there as well so the farm aspect was still there, pigs, chickens, etc. There are bathrooms and a gift shop that had other souvenirs as well. We spent about an hour here. The place is not really that big, so if your drive is a little more than a half hour or so there might be better venues that are more economical for the time spent for my family as we live not far away it was worth.

This place is an oasis in the middle of the suburbs. It s like taking a step back in time. Beautiful and lively animals. My child had a blast just running around. The staff is awesome, and I cannot wait to go back!
