Not sure if this place is still in business. But one of the best chile rellenos Ive had. Excellent food quality, location, and service. Noticed this restaurant for a while. Glad I finally stopped by for dinner.

Really miss this place. The food is amazing. The margaritas could have been improved and maybe the location was too big. Really sucks to see this place close. I check it weekly to see if it s reopened. Improve the margs make it a hit and maybe business can boom again. Good luck.

A good Mexican food place. The dishes are huge, so my wife and I shared just one (we do not eat a lot). The service was great. The restrooms were clean, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. We loved that the music was at the right volume loud enough to understand every song, but not so high that we couldnt talk.

I had to re-review this place. Last time we were there (1 month ago), the food was not as good as the first time (10 months ago)as its taste was not great for the price we paid for it. Service is terrible as the staff was chatting all the time and we had a lack of attention most of the time. Besides, the place was not even half full but the food took too long to come

I ordered chicken enchiladas with chili sauce, and I asked for chopped onions on top, which they charged me an extra $1.00. After receiving my meal, I asked for some additional chili sauce because there wasnt much on the enchiladas, and they charged me an additional $2.00. It seems like they are charging everybody for every little thing, which I hate with the passion. Also the music in the restaurant was very loud. Based on the fact that theyre charging for every little thing and other restaurants dont do this, I will not be back.

Decided to come here since we were in the area. Some say dont get tex mex north of Dallas. Well, this was an exception. Started off with a Mojito and a Margarazo. Both were good drinks. Guacamole was the appetizer. Great flavor and size. Chips were thin and fresh crispy. We also wanted to try the tamales. Masa was on point with flavor. The pork filling was good. For the entrees, we ordered beef enchiladas and the Camarones al mojo de ajo (shrimp in a garlic butter sauce). Everything had flavor. No extra salt or sauce to liven it up. For the last drink, the Grand Marnier Meltdown. Delicious and just perfect! This place was a terrific choice. Also, out waitress was great. Great attitude and pleasantly patient. No rush. Atmosphere was a little warm, but the friendly staff made up for that. Great job!

I ate the taco appetizer and inside the taco meat was a plastic piece from a broken plate or cup. If I had swollen it I would have had to go to the hospital. It was that large. I told the waitress and she said that was the third time pieces of metal or plastic was found in food after being served. Please avoid this place it could put in in the ER

I was pleasantly surprised with the low carb options available on the menu! Even though the sides are rice and beans, they have grilled veggies and guacamole you can sub out. We order cheese red enchiladas and were OK, not the original chile pasilla sauce, tasted like the cans they sell in markets. I order rajas con queso sopes. Rajas are from poblano, but they used Serrano chiles. Were super hot didn t like them. The sope (corn dough) was good.

Exceptional traditional Mexican fare. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The steak fajita tacos are savory. The service is welcoming. As it is on the square, street parking is limited. Use the structure behind the shops across the street. The only disappointment is that the margaritas are rather heavy on the ice.

This place is good to go to for a quick bite to eat. If you don t want to wait a little longer don t go on a day that FC Dallas has a game, can make the wait a little longer, in my opinion that effects the quality of service. My favorite and simple meal to order are the beef enchiladas, it is a plate that comes with beans and rice. They have decent amount of options to choose from, location is great and they also have outside seating if you want to sit outside during a fresh day!

We originally started coming to Cheetos, because it was a good atmosphere with good value and fresh food Things have changed, and the place is gone downhill in terms of food quality. Each one of our food items. The last few times we have come, has tasted like they prepared at days before. Just not good. The service is good though and the atmosphere is OK. This place is NOT celiac safe! I have eaten here before and not had problems, however they have changed their practices. All corn and flour tortillas are fried in the same fryer. Though it is marked gluten-free on the menu, the food is not safe for Celiacs. The food here is wonderful so I m very sad.

Said the wait was 20 minutes and it ended up being 45. One we were sat it took another 45 minutes after we ordered to decide to have them pack our food to go because we were tired of waiting. Ridiculously understaffed possibly but still, no restaurant should make patron wait nearly 2 hours before even receiving their food. Intown a couple of days early for a football bowl game. Was looking around on Google maps to see what was close to me for food. Of the many choices I decided on this restaurant for tonight. Very close to my hotel. Good choice. Friendly staff. It was conveniently located at the intersection of the two roads. Seating inside and outside. Lots of choices on the menu. Tonight I went with three beef enchiladas. You have about five different choices of what kind of topping you can have. On two of them I chose chili and the other one I chose queso. Comes with beans and rice of course. Food was delivered in a very timely manner. Everything tasted good. I would certainly recommend this restaurant if youre in the frisco area for a high school game or a soccer game at the stadium. It also has a bar inside for your alcohol favorite drinks.

Over an hour after placing our order the waitress came out with a bowl of queso. We explained that we did not order that. She looked confused. She said she would be right back with our order. 15 minutes later I had to find the waitress to inquire about it and was told would be right out in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we decided to go elsewhere. ANYWHERE would be better at this point. However right at that moment she finally came out with our meal. We were reluctant to stay since we had already stood up and started to head out and try to salvage our evening, but she assured us that there would be a discount because there had been a mix up in the kitchen. Since we were very hungry at this point and being told that we would be compensated for our inconvenience, we decided to go ahead and stay and eat. The food was average Tex Mex. Nothing spectacular but not terrible either. But after that is when the incredibly horrible customer service became unbelievable. The check had no discount as promised. When I inquired with the waitress, her story changed and she said she was unable to give a discount. Thats when I asked to speak to the manager. Thats when the incredibly terrible customer service became a nightmare! She came to our table not apologetically as a good manager would do, but worse than that she came over confrontational from the beginning! She said that no way we waited an hour because her customers would all walk out if they had to wait that long. We told her we were walking out and that she could check the time record for when we were seated. So at that point she rudely changed her reply to well if we had to give a discount to every customer that had to wait over an hour we would be giving discounts to everyone.... ! Then she threatened to call the police if we left without paying the bill. Make no mistake, this review is not about money. We are always glad to pay for a nice outing. This review is about such incredibly terrible customer service and a manager that has no idea what that word means.To identify the manager specifically, we dined on 12-16-23 at 7:00 just in case anybody in ownership or supervisorship wants to help her learn a little bit about customer service. We were appalled at the treatment! Ive had to speak to managers on other occasions at different establishments from time to time and have always been met with true concern for their customer. I have also been a restaurant owner, and I know that this type of treatment would be highly detrimental to the business. I definitely would not tolerate a manager treating a customer like this as I know how poorly it reflects on the entire experience. The truly sad thing is that if she had come over with a nice and caring attitude and explained the situation and offered an apology I would have been understanding and not forced to write this review. Even if she did not offer a discount but was sincerely apologetic for our experience, I would have been satisfied. Instead we were treated like we were the problem and that we were liars despite compelling evidence that we were telling the truth. Her attitude towards us completely ruined our family Christmas gathering. The beautiful and grateful part is that I have an amazing family and therefore will still have a beautiful Christmas memory because of them. We unanimously decided that we would never come to this establishment again! Theres many places to choose to celebrate your special family moments, dont waste your time on a place like this! It may be convenient because its in the Frisco square, however the experience made it the worst choice ever. Save yourself the same awful experience we had and that I see others have written and choose another restaurant that actually cares for their customer. Taco Bell would have definitely created a better memory than this!

We were charged twice and we ve been calling the restaurant for a week (5 times now) to get the refund and we keep getting told we ll get a call back or to call at X time, but no one calls and no one is ever available. Lets start with Juan. Amazing service and great personality. Made us feel like family. The restaurant is cozy, well lit, and has a great atmosphere. Juan made me a drink based on my picky preferences, and I was very happy. The guacamole was refreshing, flavorful, and made to order. I ordered the quesadillas, which came out hot and delicious. My husband had the shrimp tacos. But the highlight of the night was the smoked old fashioned Juan made for my husband. Smoked at the table with a skull top, it was very unique but tasted perfect. I ordered Carne guisada, which is a pork dish with gravy and papas. It had full flavor, just different than Im used to. We went to try this spot because I was sold reading online they had homemade tortillas. Unfortunately, for our preference, the flour tortillas are not homemade, only the corn is. Food was very good. Tamales had a good amount of meat very flavorful. Chips and salsa are light, crispy, not to hot(salsa). Our waiter was very welcoming with a helpful and attentive attitude. Id say its pretty authentic. All around great place to eat cheap. Wheelchair accessibility: There is not any steps so. Easily WC accessable.

I was working nearby and decided to try it for lunch. Im so glad I did. One of my litmus tests for a good Mexican restaurant is the salsa. If the salsa is good, the rest usually is. The salsa here is fantastic! So much flavor. For my lunch I had the tamales off of the lunch menu. They were great! The service was good and attentive. This place hit it out of the park.

Awesome restaurant!! The premium margarita was pricey but really good, and had to get one (or 2), when in Rome lol. We had every intention on getting a full meal, but after eating the complimentary chips and salsa (really good, loved the crispy chips), and the appetizer of nachos, we were so darn full. The nachos were so delicious, each chip layed out, with a thin layer of refried beans, seasoned ground beef and cheese. It was served with guacamole and sour cream in the middle. Honestly the best nachos Ive had!! Pushed myself to try a handmade tamale, our server suggested the chicken, and wow it was so good!! I wish the restaurant was closer to home, but will definitely make the drive to go back!

Had a work lunch here and everything I had was so good and everyone else said theirs was good too. The chips were fresh, but we came at 11:00 a.m. so theres that, the salsa was very good not bland not too spicy. I had ceviche and a side salad. Both had very fresh ingredients the avocados were perfect and the salad dressing tasted very fresh. I think Ill be back for more.

Place is hot and not very welcoming. Service is ok and food is good yet not authentic Mexican food. I paid $20 for guisado plate and tortillas were package type. Beer was warm and tea was watered down. In short, not a place I would return to or reccomend.

I placed an order for delivery and there s no way to select different options that come with fajitas so after I place the order, I called them. A younger person who obviously didn t care pretended like he checked with the manager and said there s no way they could do a different being then refried without canceling the whole order. I usually love this place, but unfortunately, it has changed. The lunch menu is not updated online. Chicken fajitas are no longer included. I took current pictures of the full menu to notify others. The server was nice, but the young male host was not happy to be at work. Didnt make us feel welcomed. He simply said follow me and tried to sit us right next to the kitchen entrance. I asked if we could sit somewhere else because the booth seats were very torn up. I was wearing a dress and didnt want my legs all scratched up. He didnt say anything but rolled his eyes at me. I walked to the only available nearby table that wasnt too dirty, and he placed our menus down. Sadly, the wooden chairs were very old and worn as well. All of them were very wobbly and creaky. Seems like its time for some new upgraded chairs and booths.

Do not go to this place if you have a big party. They will not serve you and will not work with you. Even when we try to make small parties. They said No. We are paying separately, they said No.. we came early 5 pm on a Saturday with kids so we can eat early before the soccer game. We had a terrible encounter with the manager, As we continue to say yes to smaller parties 4 or 5 people that got seated. Before disappointed. We went to Testa instead. Better service and food!

I recommend finding an by alternative restaurant.. if the manager acts like this, there is a reason he can t find staff??? Poor attitude = poor results! My friend call wanting to go here for some Mexican food. She loves Mexican food. My husband and I have been before and brought her one time. Today she ordered the carnitas taco plate. I ordered all la cart since I only went because she wanted to go. Its not one I frequent anymore because the food is okay at best but she wanted to go so I went along. I ordered 1 carnitas, 1 al pastor and 1 barbacoa. The al pastor was okay, the barbacoa tasted like a dirty dish rag and the carnitas was so dry it scratched your throat. My friend ate 1 of the carnitas and tried to eat the next one but it was so very dry that it didnt go down easliy. So after one bit she put the plate aside. I asked to speak with our waiter so we can let her know about the taste and quality of the food but a rude, disrespectful lady act like she was going to helped until we told her that the carnitas was extremely dry. She rudly replied thats the way its supposed to be because its fried. Well if my friend woukd have know it was going to be dry like a cardboard she wouldnt have ordered it. She was so offended that we didnt like her food and took my friends plate off the table and told the waiter to charge her for it. I wouldnt have paid for it but my friend did. This was going to be her last dime she gets from her. After speaking with the waiter who stated the rude lady was the owner I told her we will not be coming back and Ill will put in a review in how rude and disrespectful the owner was. She acted like a child being reprimanded because someone didnt like her food. Now weve been to many other AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurants before and had carnitas before. Never had it been dry like today. Looking at the food it looked as if it was day old meat. If you will get offended every time someone tells you they dont like the food then your in the wrong business. As a personal chelf I cook weekly meals for a family and if they told me that a particular meal I made them wasnt what they expected or wasnt good, then I would have not only apologized and made the meal over at my cost not theirs. Listen, if you look at reviews before trying any restaurants please listen to them. This place food isnt good. Its just okay on any give day. The seats are torn up and unkept and the food isnt authentic. Go somewhere else. There are plenty of Mexican resturant tex-mex or authenic there are better than here. Trust me! Then again you get what you pay for. Cheap!

The restaurant is looking very run down; the booths all had rips in the seats, there are broken display cabinets, tiles falling off in the restroom... so the place could use some TLC. Came on a Saturday at around 7:30 with a party of two. Seated instantly, and ordered drinks. Drinks appeared in under five minutes and food was equally speedy. Wait staff was attentive and the experience all in all was great. Loved the food and drinks.
