I got the ox combination soup and my girlfriend got the cold noodles with the side of the soy garlic pork. The ox combination soup came with some slices of beef and the ox tail. It tasted good and tasted very healthy. The cold noodles was also really good. Soy garlic pork was flavorful. A lot of people ordered the ribs, which I will come back to try another day.

I gotta say taste is on point. I been I been coming here several times and the foods are not just authentic, its trendy. The price is a little high, if Im being honest. Althiugh they give you generous amount of food but it is a little steep. I would still recommend this place for people who want to go to a Korean restaurant, and Im confident any item on the menu wont disappoint you.

The Gamjatang I had was, in all honesty, the worst I have ever tasted. The Soontofu soup lacked any discernible flavor. However, the Sullungtang and pork rib were still satisfactory. The server who attended to us was exceptionally amiable.

Most of the items here are for sharing so expect big portions and proportional prices. My accomolice and I got the army stew and for our first time trying we thought it was pretty good! However it was like $1 to add a slice of cheese. It looked like the Kraft cheese. The one pot of stew was enough for both of us plus leftovers.

This restaurant was so amazing! i missed authentic Korean dishes so wanted some comfort meals & oxtail soup is definitely one of them! Wholeheartedly recommend their grilled spicy pork ribs, along with their seafood pajeon (pancake) & spicy rumen, brisket soup. The flavors were all there. The bonchons were so delicious on its own too. Cannot wait to go back!! After reading about how great this place is & through a fam members recommendation, it did not disappoint one tiny bit

This was my the first time I tried Koren food. I really enjoyed the ribs. They were delish. The bean sprouts were ok. It was my first time having those as well. I tried a little bit of all that was brought to the table. My taste buds need to get accustomed to the food. I would most definitely go back and have the ribs again. Parking: No parking issues. There was an abundance of parking. Kid-friendliness: Saw people there with their toddlers and babies.

Just Delicious!! The food here is consistent and tasty after coming here multiple times. Staff is very helpful and attentive to all your service needs. It was hard to pick, but my favorite dish would have to be the grilled mackerel with spicy sauce. Its kind of tied with the original pork ribs, but the taste and the burnt crispy edges of the fish gave it a point higher for me. It was just so moist and flavorful. Will definitely be coming back. We have been wanting to try their pork hock. Also, I love the tall water cups. Its less a hassle to refill.

It was nice that there wasnt anything that looked the same and it was clean. And the staff were really friendly, so I felt good. I think I will definitely visit again

Everything I tasted did not disappoint. The prices are a little higher but worth it for the amount you get and the quality. We ordered the original bbq pork ribs and the pork neck hot pot. Let s just say the flavor of the hot pot was so delicious. The meat fell off the bone and the soup had a lil hint of sweetness that paired really well with rice. The pork ribs had a good char and was delicious. They gave free banchan which included eggplant, bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, salad and fish cake. I really enjoyed eating here, the waiters were nice and sat us in a spot where it wasn t too crowded. They checked in on us and adjusted the fire for the hot pot.

Been here before and the food has been pretty good. However, we went in for early lunch yesterday and our whole family got food poisoning from the LA kalbi. We had no breakfast and did not eat after the restaurant, and we can isolate the food to the LA kalbi because it is the one food the adults and kids both ate. Edited down to a 1 star after owners response. We are not confused with another store and we did not eat anything before or after eating the kalbi. That is why we went in for an early lunch. The entire family started vomiting about 3 hours after leaving your restaurant. Wife works in the medical field and we had text-book symptoms of food poisoning. We would have liked to have seen the owners response appear at least a bit concerned.

I m not one to post bad reviews of places, I like to give them the benefit of the doubt and look on the positive side but this was a horrible experience. The waiter was extremely rude, his attitude was horrible and unprofessional and unfriendly. He was very stuck up about their prices and his tone of voice when he talked to us was like he thought we were trash, like we weren t worth his time to talk to. Watch out for their prices, they Jack up their prices and it s in tiny fine print so you don t see it until it s too late, because their lunch prices only count on weekdays but then it goes up in price x2 on the weekends, making it literally 100% more expensive (for example, something that costs $15.99 before 3pm during the week costs $29.99 on the weekend, even if you go for lunch before 3pm). If you come in with a small party of two people you re going to be sitting at a table with another group, so you ll feel very uncomfortable if you wanted a nice lunch with your partner. The tables are sticky like they just took off the dishes and sat you down right away, they don t bother to clean them properly so who knows what fluids and bacteria are stuck on the tables. The restaurant is loud and the floor is messy, we walked in and there were napkins and trash on the floor under the tables. It s crowded to the point where you re dodging tables and elbows and chair to try to sit down. The water that they give you to drink smells like mold and rust, and tastes like there s mold and rust in it too. Don t waste your time going here, there s much better restaurants in the area with better food, better prices, and better service.

Service was terrible though, we never got refills for water until we were about to leave and it took us forever to get the check. It was busy, but all the tables around us were visited frequently and the table that was sat after us was actually able to leave before us :/ we spent at least the last 1/4 of the time there just trying to flag someone down to get the check.

I just had the most amazing time at this Korean Restaurant in Dallas, and I couldnt wait to share my thoughts. Maht Gaek is seriously on point when it comes to serving up some mouthwatering Korean dishes. The flavors were off the charts, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was super cozy and laid-back, perfect for enjoying a fun night out with friends or family. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to have a fantastic dining experience. They even gave us some great recommendations on what to try, which was a total game-changer. Oh, and let me tell you about the banchan (side dishes). They were so delicious and varied, adding an extra burst of flavor to every bite. If youre a fan of Korean food, Maht Gaek is an absolute must-visit. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

I probably won t go back. The strange rule is that you can only get 3 side dishes when ordering cold noodles, not even a spicy radish or spicy cabbage. I usually don t pay attention to this when I go there. Maybe it s because I order more dishes. Generally Each person ordered 3 dishes, so today is a rather embarrassing day. Watching others eat is so delicious! Maybe its just a little bit short of me, but I asked the waiter and he said he could give it to me, but I still dont have any appetite.

The grilled pork ribs in original sauce is a must get. The hotpot was hearty and umami and paired very well with either rice or the crispy and chewy seafood scallion pancakes. I also loved that the paid drinks come in frozen glass and they give you a jar of iced water for self serve. The service was amazing as the staff checked on us the right amount of time. The place was bustling on a Saturday night. There were two people waiting for them to open and then line of people by the time we left. I can see why tho.

Definitely worth a visit just for the ribs, we will come back again. Even our picky kids loved it! All the servers were really nice. Unless you are binge eating and drinking by yourself because you had just suffered heart break and want to drink by yourself with some food. Then this is the place for you. The food is solid by the way. Everything is balanced really well. I loved how they gave a lot of side dishes! They not shady like other Korean places. You get a plentiful amount and it is GREAT!!

Pretty solid Korean fare. Would go for the lunch deal over the dinner option. For the quality of the meat and price, I personally would go to an AYCE place instead for dinner. If youre not feeling like doing the drive out to Carrollton, this place is a pretty decent and popular option! Amazing service. Parking: Free uncovered parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: Nearby ramp to entrance

Most likely one of the best Korean restaurants in DFW. The food was so delicious. Staff was friendly and theres usually a wait. The smaller the party the faster you get in. The pork ribs are my favorite and every single side dish was the best Ive had around. Cannot go wrong eating here.

Treated well by servers. Food not bad. Overall good experience. However, it seems about once a month itd be full and the wait may be 15 minutes or more Parking: Few parking spots. I usually go far away to get a shaded spot, since regardless theres no parking place close by.

I really appreciate your replies and correcting miscommunication. If my complain from misunderstanding made the workers day sad, I apologize. Thank you for your attention. I go here time to time and I love their food. I decided to write a review because I am furious at their customer service I experienced today. I called them for take out at 5 PM because thats when they reopen for dinner. One female worker got the call and asked what I would like to order, and I said I want to order two original pork ribs. I am sure that she heard me because she waited until I finish speaking and as soon as I finish talking, she sighed and hung up on me. This was the most ridiculous customer service I have experienced. I was mad and wanted to know why she treated me such way, so I tried to call them back multiple times, but they rejected my calls. Finally, other worker received the call and I explained him what happened, but it seems like he did not know what happened. I am not going to blame every worker at the restaurant. I really appreciated other workers effort and their customer service. But I think the manager or the owner need to know what is going on at their restaurant.

Walked in at 830pm. Made sure the restaurant didnt close at 9pm for dine in bc I know the headache. Hours at the door stated 9:30pm. Was seated and was told i had 5 mins to order bc the kitchen was closing. The waitress who brought our bill 10 mins later, told us can you pay now bc we are closing register with a rude stare down. Had ordered drinks and where on out bill, but they didnt bother to bring our drinks out, (been here 15 mins) yet charge us for them. Other customers were walking out and they all had a Bye have a good day! We walked out.... no thank yous! Lol. But the kitchen and our bus boy where very nice and attentive. A big thanks to them!!

Day-um! I did not expect such great Korean food in Texas lol. I stopped in for lunch on a biz trip and was blown away. Not an extensive menu but everything i had was fresh and delicious. Was surprised also at the size of the portions, even the side dish snack bowls were Texas sized! Very good value for money. Will return

What a hidden gem, if you like Korean food! Located right behind Chase bank. Great quality authentic Korean cuisine, with generous portions at reasonable prices. I tried the spicy mackerel and wasnt disappointed. Get there when they open or youll be standing in line-but its worth the wait. The establishment isnt large so be prepared to get cozy. Parking: Large parking lot serving the entire strip mall.
