Had an event with them in the past, years later I accidentally made a mistake of sending them money via zelle. They returned the money no questions asked the same day. Great food and caterer, but most importantly people of character and integrity. Highly recommend

Zanders house does special events, catering and special event dining. They are not a regular restaurant. They serve very good, high quality traditional banquet foods for weddings and celebrations. I personally have had their catered food many times but having it at the actual event center was much better.

The place has good price for weddings rental. Their dinning banquets are not premium but decent enough for guests to enjoy the wedding with lots of food (5-8 courses). They would have decoration on their tables and chairs only. The rest are on you. From flooring to stage to all the lighting and sound music...v.v.. you are not gonna love the bridals change room. It has bad smell, like mold. But pretty good for that price. Check them out if you are on the budget for your Asians banquet wedding.

Kirk and Zanders House catered our wedding this past weekend. Kirk was very accommodating and flexible with our constant changes in guest count. His team was able to cook on site at our venue over an hour away, so we were able to eat freshly cooked food. Everyone raved how good the food was. He also did not charge us for doing a tasting of the menu, gave us helpful suggestions, and even told us we should choose less food saving us a lot of money. I highly recommend Zanders House for catering.

Ive eaten here before, a while back. The food was very good. This most recent visit was while I was in line (in the car) with my daughter for a COVID test she needed before her flight. Do to the extended wait in the car, I required the use of a restroom. I told them of my need and they graciously showed me where to go. They treated me with respect and afforded me the use of their facilities even though I was not a paying Customer. Im looking forward to going back, but this time to enjoy the wonderful cuisine.

We have been to plenty of weddings here for relatives and friends. The food has always been great and the experience fun! For our own wedding, Kirk was amazing to work with. He had super prompt responses and was always very nice to us throughout the process. No complaints on our end at all. Unfortunately for us, we planned for a wedding before COVID19 decided to rear its ugly head in 2020. My parents and a few of my relatives are very immuno-compromised in the high risk category and this was not a risk we could take for them, however Kirk was really understanding and helpful as we had to shift wedding plans repeatedly due to safety concerns. Kirk was willing to work with us and we really appreciate it!

As someone who had to host a Chinese banquet style wedding reception last month, I can safely say that Im glad I decided to go with Zanders House. Kirk made wedding planning a much less painful endeavor; he was prompt and professional in his emails and was quick to respond to any issues that arose. I had at least 200 people at my reception (which is on the smaller end of a typical Asian wedding reception), but everyone had an amazing time. My guests all said that the waitstaff was very prompt and courteous; the food was excellent (we had Zanders House provide my guests with a typical 8 course meal). In fact, some of my guests left, wishing that Zanders House opened its doors for regular dining. Special shout out to the cilantro beef; Im very glad I went with that (per Kirks suggestion) since it was a MEGA HIT among our guests! On that note, Im genuinely glad that Zanders House only does receptions; Ive been to other Asian wedding receptions where they would have wedding guests eat in the same building as regular patrons. One of the many reasons why I chose Zanders House was because I wanted to limit the amount of freeloaders that could waltz in, uninvited, from the restaurant part of the building into the wedding reception area. And when you provide an open bar for your guests, you bet you want to limit it to ONLY your guests! Which brings me to another point: vendors. Stephen was our bartender, and someone I wholly recommend. He works with Kirk and Zanders House fairly often, and so that familiarity was *so welcome*. Another special shout-out to Co Kim Trang, one of their recommended vendors. She was our wedding florist and did beautiful work! In short, if you need a wedding reception venue (especially if youre Asian), then Id recommend Zanders House, hands down. :)

Really happy with this venue. Appreciate Mason / Kirk and their detail to attention. Everything was done as asked for, there were no surprises. Would recommend this place for anyone looking for a small but a good venue. However I have taken a star back because Kirk ends up doing everything that you ask for, but the entire time he comes across as impersonal and not approachable and I am sure that is because of his own negative experiences with people. But all in all they are a great team and are more than willing to accommodate your parties in a cost effective way. Thank you.

If I could give this place a negative star I would. The guy is super nice to you unit he tricks you into signing his contract. He is so two faced that you won t believe how much he will try not to help you out after you sign the contract. He knows that you can t back out of it without paying a price so I over promises and do not deliver. Always wants to charge extra and the service is the worst. He even agreed to let our cater people use the kitchen but wants out on our wedding day that they can t use any of equipments. If you want your wedding to be smooth selling, I advise you to pay more and go elsewhere. If I have a choice to redo my wedding, I would pay double and go elsewhere

We choose Zander s House as the venue for our wedding reception and my wife, our guests, family, and I were completely blown away by the service and food. The food from Zander s House is well renowned in the DFW area for its exceptional quality for asian cuisine and we were glad they exceeded that expectation during our wedding. Shout out to the owner who helped us during a mild crisis where people showed up without RSVPing but he figured a way to accommodate everyone. The wedding went smooth and we all had a great time !

Attending my brother-in-laws wedding reception and utterly disappointed with the horrible service. It is customary to clear dirty plates course by course but they did not. It is also customary to clear the whole table before bringing out dessert, but they did not and gave us a stupid answer that people usually push their plates aside. When spending at least $30,000, this is unacceptable. And the staff were completely inattentive to refilling drinks. When we finally did get the server to clear, he did it at the table, instead of using a side tray and tray jack. Completely unprofessional. I have worked for 25 years in hospitality at Hyatt and Marriott and rest assured, you cannot call yourself an elegant, upscale choice with this kind of service. The servers Im talking about are 1 Male, Hispanic guy and 1 Asian guy serving table 15 on 1/26/19.

Had my wedding here on June 4th, 2016. Best choice I made as far as venue goes. I change from 400 to 500 seats in the two weeks prior to the wedding date, and they were able to accommodate us. They set up tables so that it does not interfere with the dance floor, and I had room to ride a bike with my wife on the back as our entrance. With 500 seats, it did not feel tight. Most restaurant I have been to with 400 seats, you can barely walk. Yes, the price is not as low as other Vietnamese venue, but you get what you pay for. Zanders is the most extravagant Vietnamese wedding venue in DFW. We deposited half and pay the rest that same night. Just like every other venue. Some people told me that they do not like to pay like that, but which restaurant let you eat and go home without paying? I worked with Kirk directly and he respond as fast as he could. He helped us out a lot, let us come in early and do our set up. Thats one reason why we select Zanders. They only use this location as a venue. So coming in on Friday to set up is ok. Most restaurant does not start setting up till 3PM on the same day as your wedding date and guest start to arrive at 6:30PM. We would not have had time to set up our stuff. Food was excellent, my family and friends loved it. Nothing came out cold, and the flavor was delicious. There are actually a lot of food to select from. We choose the below. If you want lower cost on the food, they can help you select different option. Fish maw soup , BBQ Rib-eye cilantro beef, Lobster with cheese, Seafood sautéed with vegetables, Fried Chilean sea-bass with spicy chives fish sauce, Yeung Chow fried rice, Fresh seasonal fruits (Dessert), and we added one more portion on Thursday night, but forgot what it was called.

I have my wedding here at Zander and lets just say, the wedding reception didnt go as I expected. Mostly because of the service and bad attitude I received from these people. Dealing with the owner, Kirk, was extremely stressful and trust me, my blood pressure went up a lot of times. He doesnt care about you because he knows its too late for bride/groom to pick out the different venue at last minute. He is just a cunning snake.If you want a venue with lot of dramas, hidden fees, and bad attitude from a bully then this is the place for you.

Its good and I am vegan which they cater to well. The only thing that is an issue is they are sometimes closed for private parties on Saturdays so I call them first.
