Recently had a legal situation that was heavily impacting my life. After searching for some solutions for my legal needs, I found the Wilder Law Firm. I was in recovery for quite a while and relapsed last July. They say it takes what it takes to get it. I found myself in handcuffs that night and full of shame the next day. As most people do, I googled law firms defending people with my charge and the Wilder Law Firm had exceptional reviews (and I read every single review) and I just had a really good feeling. Best decision ever! From the very beginning, Megan and Ronnie didnt make me feel like a criminal and made me feel extremely comfortable from the first interaction. Megan was extremely down to earth and not intimidating, which I thought all lawyers were. She instructed me to take 2 classes and journal all of my AA meetings. It helped that my boyfriend of 5 years saw my hard work after my relapse and wanted to sign an affidavit of non-prosecution, but Megan had my sponsor also write a letter discussing my progress since my relapse. I had to show up to court 1 time out of the 5+ times I was scheduled, because Megan showed up for me and took everything to the prosecution and my charge was dropped. This was very unexpected and I will be forever grateful for what they did for me! I was finally able to put this behind me. Like I said before, it takes what it takes to stay sober, and I think that night had to happen for me to work as hard as I have this past year. I am happier today than I ever have been, my boyfriend (now fiancé) are better than ever, and I was able to start a job at a huge hospital in Dallas because of Megan and the firm. Mr. Wilder is one of the lawyers who does not do this for the money, but for the passion. I called him in a panic due to an elaborate scam I came tangled up with, and he helped me to uncover it as well as help ease my worries. The Wilder Law Firm saved my rear end. I was facing a DWI and was desperate for help. They answered my call and ended up providing awesome representation. I got only 9 months of deferred probation and my interlock removed after only 2 months. The reviews were very good for the Wilder Law Firm but when Doug took the time to speak on everything to my wife the day after my DWI arrest, I knew I would be seeking Doug for help. In defending me, his team was able to get me deferred adjudication and interlock device waived. I had a DWI charge with high bac number. I ended up hiring the Wilder Law Firm to help me based upon their reviews with good outcomes. For the past three years, this law firm has went ABOVE AND BEYOND for my family. I was accused and arrested on ASSAULT CAUSES BODILY INJURY FAMILY MEMBER. There was also an EPO imposed on me. I was away from my family, whom I love most, due to EPO. It was the most terrible and embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. Second, I did my own research on number of their recent DV dismissal cases in Collin County and the numbers were unbelievable. I am so grateful for Doug and the Wilder team, as I feel like you guys came to the rescue as I thought my life was pretty much over when I was facing a felony 3rd DWI charge. While searching through reviews of different attorneys, Doug seemed to have the best ones DWI wise. Also, he was the only one that gave me advice on doing course work ahead of time. He and his team just seemed to care more about me actually getting help than others. The Wilder Law Firm worked really hard at getting me the best possible deal in my situation. We retained this firm because of the glowing reviews but our experience has been far from that. If you are looking for an empathetic firm that prioritizes communication with clients, look somewhere else. They represented us for approximately 96 hours and I promptly switched counsel due to the lack of concern for the urgency of our situation. There was an EPO put out on my husband that prevented him from coming to the house and any contact with family. This meant he was going to miss the holidays with family and be absent for our boys birthdays. More pressingly, his absence put our lives under severe hardship. We needed the EPO lifted ASAP and every passing day my husband was apart from us, I was barely making it through the day. I believe this urgency was conveyed when I came in the office but the firm failed to respond accordingly to the dire situation. Megan said she would call me with an update and I never heard from her. I was told the portal would be updated but there was nothing ever updated on the case portal. They simply emailed my husband with a court date of Jan 9th, which meant my family would ve been separated for another month! No call, no explanation, just a passive email. A hearing date one month out was absolutely unacceptable not to mention the mode of communication with lack of concern to our circumstance. I have had my fair share of retained attorneys and scrappy communication especially during these trying times for our family is one that is unacceptable. We switched counsel and got a hearing date within 4 business DAYS! My husband was able to come back home within a week of switching counsel. We are SO glad we did not choose to stick with the Wilder firm. Our family would ve still been torn apart today had they had continued representing us. Oh, and worse, they still wanted to keep 25% of the total fee for the fruitless work, despite the bare minimum effort they have put into our case in those first 3 days. I ve called their office repeatedly and the front desk kept saying the attorneys are busy, that they will call me back, but it s been about 3 weeks and no one has called me back. Go figure. Also be prepared to shell out another grand on top of their fee for all the classes they expect you to take. It seems to me their strategy is to take all the classes you possibly can, regardless the severity of the offense, rather than taking a strategic approach on a case-by-case basis. Less work for the firm I suppose. Id like to warn others to stay away from this firm if they expect compassion and want actions with a sense of urgency, because this was not that firm in our experience. A good attorney knows the law, a great attorney knows the judge , I hope anyone that reads this review goes to find a great attorney.

I was recently arrested for a misdemeanor DWI and a Felony for Evading. Thankfully, my mom looked up on her phone the best lawyer in Texas and Wilder Law Firm was the first to pop up. So naturally we started there because of their rating and reviews. As soon as, I came into the office everyone was really nice and there was no judgement placed on me. I was really scared because I didn t know what was going to happen and they handled everything in a manner that was direct and to the point. They showed me the binder that I would need to fll and advised me on how to complete this. Since my charge was a felony DWI due to the fleeing , they advised me to complete the felony DWI binder. Everything was clear and easy to understand but they made sure to tell me that this was on me, and if I listened to them and did everything they told me to do, the outcome would only be positive, and it was! From the work that the frm advised me to do and their help in defending me, I was able to get my felony dropped and got deferred probation on the misdemeanor. I just want to thank Doug, Megan, Morgan, and everyone who helped me in my case. Getting the felony dropped was huge because this would have impacted my life so negatively and for future jobs. A drunken mistake that I plan to never ever do again. As for the DWI, completing probation successfully, I can disclose the DWI in a couple years from the public which is amazing. I was facing class A misdemeanor charges for assaulting a family member. I suffer from CPTSD, and during a severe fashback to previous trauma I unintentionally hurt my spouse. When my husband tried to get me medical attention, the police showed up and placed me under a 48 hour APOWW hold, then arrested me after the hold expired. My husband had called dozens of attorneys on the weekend when I was arrested, all of them were out of the ofce, and didn t have staff available to answer his calls. I had a tough case that Doug and I took to trial. Doug fought for me at each phase of the process, from beginning to end and did not let me misunderstand any part of what was occurring in the court. I came to the Wilder Law Firm after being pulled over for my license plate frame, which then led to a DWI arrest. I was very upset by this arrest but I felt like everyone on Doug s team was very helpful. I am so happy the firm believed in me the entire way through my case. I was recently charged with 2 misdemeanors and 2 felonies from one out of character incident and knew I needed strong representation to prevent one night from haunting me the rest of my life. So I trusted his advise and felt confident that he knew what he was talking about. From the start, I was given clear and direct steps to take in order to improve my chances of getting a favorable outcome. Any time I had a question, I was able to speak with someone right away getting all my questions answered. Everyone I worked with was extremely helpful and friendly. I had been arrested for Felony Possession, DWI and Striking a fixture. Doug Wilder came strongly recommended online, and the reviews of his service performance were very strong. There were several testimonies of dismissals, and I read and identified with those stories. I could also get an appointment quickly and talk to him directly. Doug Wilder, Amy, and Megan explained what I needed to do to position myself in the best possible light with the DA. They gave me a long list of things I needed to do to show the DA that I was taking this seriously and did not deserve convictions in my cases. After a thorough review of all the evidence, they created a plan with me, and then they executed a plea agreement for me according to the plan we agreed upon. Most of my charges were dismissed including the felony. In fact, I could avoid any convictions at all if I successfully complete my deferred probation on my DWI. I do have some probation obligations but in a short time those can all be satisfied, and I can move on without a damaged record. Because of what the firm asked me to do, I could walk into probation with nearly everything completed. The probation officer was very impressed and said they felt I would be low risk and not need much supervision. I felt very prepared for probation and thankful that most of this is behind me. This arrest itself got my attention. I have stopped drinking altogether. I think its much better to do what the firm asks of you to get the best possible deal. It will all pay off if the DA wants to slap your wrists with some probation; youll be prepared. Also, I was very comfortable working with Megan. She stayed positive but didnt overpromise. I made a dumb decision and got arrested for first time DWI. My BAC was .24, 3x the legal limit. I thought not having any criminal record would save me, but in Collin County that didnt make a bit of difference. Initially I hired a well-known DWI attorney out of Dallas, and wasted six months. The offer I got from the prosecutor after the first attorneys efforts was basically the same as I would have gotten from a public defender - Class A misdemeanor and no chance to get it deferred, meaning it would be on my record forever. First attorney told me it was literally impossible to get a class B deferred with my BAC at that level. After asking around, people told me that Doug Wilder was the guy who got things done in Collin county. I hired the Wilder Firm and basically started the process all over again. Doug has a strategic approach, and asks a lot of his clients in order to position them for success. I did everything Doug asked me to do, and the end result was that the prosecutor agreed to a Class B deferred with probation. This was the difference between having this mistake follow me around for the rest of my life, or having the opportunity to pay my debt and move on with a clean slate. Before I contracted the Wilder Law Firm to represent me in court, I was going against 3 charges, including violation of probation and a felony controlled substance. I had done some searching online for top rated attorneys and found Doug Wilder. I was placed in a dire situation were a wreck occurred and a DWI charge came out of it. After a long night in jail, I franticly looked for an attorney to defend my case. I was facing my 2nd DUI charge and could have been convicted with jail time. Doug, Amy and his team had really high ratings on google. A friend of mine also heard the same thing. I knew with Doug Wilder that he was the attorney I wanted for my son when my son called asking for my help or advice. I had used Doug previously myself when I was younger and knew he wouldn t stop fighting for the best possible outcome imaginable for my son s case. I got myself into a pretty serious situation so I reached out to the Wilder Law Firm for a consultation. Attorney Doug Wilder made himself available right away to discuss the matter face to face. Since criminal charges had not yet been officially filed, Doug reached out to the Sargent of that department to discuss. Although the PD had some pretty credible evidence against me, Doug was able to arrange a reduction in charges to a traffic citation ONLY! Although this situation did not require a lengthy trial or official legal representation, Doug made sure to give me every ounce of his attention and did not charge me a cent for doing so. Getting Mr. Wilder to represent me in my first ever dwi case was the best decision I could have ever made. As soon as I contacted them they guided me through each step of the way. I was about to loose my job and Doug made sure I didnt by getting me a Ocupational license to be able to work. I am so glad that I found Doug to represent me in my DWI case. I was going through a rough patch and ended up with 3 DWIs in 3 years. Facing mandatory jail time, Doug took my case and steered me through a laborious process including taking repeat offenders courses, attending AA meetings, performing community service and journaling daily, all before we went to court. I followed his advice and the result was incredible! He negotiated my 3rd DWI down to a 1st with NO jail time. This allowed me to continue living my life while on probation. Hello fellow criminals. My name is Ian and I had a Class A Misdemeanor for Resisting Arrest. During the time of my altercation with the police, I attempted to punch a police officer (oof). Doug Wilder, the man, reviewed the body cam footage and was glad I didnt hit the officer due to me being so intoxicated. Doug Wilder was able to take care of everything! I read a previous review that stated him having you do things before trial not working, but that was not my experience everything he had me do beforehand was effective towards my plea deal. Best decision I made during dwi. While calling around searching for a lawyer all of them said to send them $1200 and they would start on my case.
