Decided to try this place after me and my wife finished a movie and had a little bit of an appetite. Reviews and menu looked good so we headed that way. We walked in and were passively told to take a seat along with another table of people. we waited 10 minutes and niether us or the other table had been greeted or gotten drink orders. The staff were chatting by the register. I stood up and gestured for help and they jumped right on it. After that, things were perfect. Food was awesome, Portions were huge, and we enjoyed ourselves. could use a little work on customer service, but make up for it with great food.

The food was really good and I would definitely come back to try some other dishes. They had a pretty good amount of choices on their menu and it wasnt just dumplings. Server was excellent and attentive. The only complaint is the booth we sat in was near a side entrance that let a ton of hot air in when opened.

This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of Dallas and Collin County! The portions are generous, the prices are affordable, and the customer service is always top-notch. I started coming here earlier this year, and it s clear they outshine every other Chinese restaurant Ive been to. So far, I ve tried their Broccoli Chicken, Sesame Chicken, pan-fried dumplings, bok choy with mushrooms, fried rice, and egg drop soup and every single dish has been phenomenal! I know longer eat at any other chinese restaurant only here.

Good food, they allowed me to customize my order and add jalapeños and bell peppers to my Mongolian beef order with extra fried rice. The rice is a lil harder than I would have liked. Friendly customer service and a nice clean restaurant! I ll be back.

I would personally avoid this place, the staff is all nice but the food is questionable. We ve been twice, once to eat inside and the other for pickup. When eating at the restaurant, there were roaches in the bathroom and the hallways to the bathroom. We ordered pickup today and the meat we were served is questionable. We have the beef fried rice, I don t know what it is but it s not beef. The soup dumplings were gritty and gristly. They also didn t serve any sort of sauce with literally anything so it s all dry af. All together we ordered three meals, two dumplings and two apps. Total $100. 100% not worth it

The Dumpling House has become one of our favorite Chinese food restaurants. Their Pork & Chive Dumplings were fantastic. We also had Hot & Sour Soup, Sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken. Next time well get the Crab Rangoon. The service was fantastic; our server was friendly and knowledgeable. We are definitely returning.

We were craving Chinese beef noodle soup and ended up here, the soup had flavor but overall it was mainly salty. We had to add water to tone down the salt. We also ordered another plate and it too was salty. I did have a problem with the kid that was bringing out the food and the way he handled the the drinks and food. He was holding the cups from the brim and touching parts of the food when he brought it out. He was not paying attention to that detail, overall the experience was sub par.

2:30 they pack up and close. There was even an employee and he refused to even acknowledge us, even to tell us they were closed. Thats not only immature but grossly bad customer service. Had to ask a person eating if they knew where everyone was at. A lady mentioned that she saw the cashier closing up at 2:30. They dont take orders after 2:30. Well Dumpling House how about changing your stated hours so people dont drive all the way there for nothing? We were going to place an order to go but had to leave after figuring it out for ourselves. The worst dining experience ive ever experienced in Texas.

This place is so so delicious, the wait time for the food was about 15-25 min BUT it came out hot and the flavors did not disappoint. We had the crispy orange beef which tastes like orange jerky, the steamed rice was YUMMY, hot and sour soup (YUMMY) im usually not a fan of mushrooms but I ate three bowls. We tried pork and shrimp steamed dumplings and pork and chive fried dumpling, their ginger sauce was SO good on both. We spent $60 including tip. Overall this place is a gem.

Not even a 1 star! This place is disgusting. The service is so unbelievably rude! We dove 40 minutes to get. Took 40 minutes for them to make the order and we got home with the wrong food. I call up there to tell them and he said no that s what you ordered and hung up. The food that we did receive tasted terrible. The dumpling look like they put cat food inside of them. I had the beef and onion pancakes, pork and chive pan fried dumplings, and the beef short rib clay pot. It was all great! I am torn on whether the short rib or the pan fried dumplings are my favorite for the evening. The flavors were amazing. We arrived toasted the tail end of the dining hours, but was quickly dealt with. It must have been busy because they were still several tables needing to be cleaned. The restaurant floor was sticky, but otherwise no issues. In spite of the floors, I would eat there again.

Well although the dumplings were decent, the wait was about an hour when originally said to wait 20 minutes. I ordered from Doordash and went to pick it up and basically they said at first that I would have to wait 10 minutes but ended up waiting longer than expected to. In all I really dont recommend this place, not even to order online. Including the customer service was not good either.

We went there at Monday noon. There was just a group of 4 sitting in the restaurant except for us. We placed an order and then the group of people just finished and left. No takeouts were in waiting. We literally waited for at least 1 hour to have our meals all served. Actually we just ordered a steam dumplings and a boiled dumpling. Don t know why we had to wait that long. I felt the pork meat in the dumpling was not fresh and tasted bad. I won t come back anytime soon.

Honestly not very good and doesnt taste very authentic. The dumpling sauce takes like vinegar. The specialty dumplings were like soggy dough, the fried dumplings were barely fried, and the flavor just wasnt good. Lady working the front was very nice. But it just was not worth the money or time

Food was decent but service was pathetic. We went to this place for dinner and we were served with our bill twice even before our food was served to us.They were just hoping for us to leave without serving us our food..we were served our food 30 minutes after placing the order and before we and couple of other tables finished their food they turned off the ac and closed the place. They were supposed to close at 9:30 and turned off the ac around 9:15 and served our food at 9:10. Very disappointing and will never go back to this place to be treated that way and will never recommend this place to anyone.

This place should not be confused with the Dumpling House in Frisco which is a great restaurant. This place had burnt food, service was slow and the place was filthy. The seating in the booth had all kinds of food in the crevises. The pan fried dumplings were super greasy. They looked like soup dumplings there was so much grease on the plate. Their menu said the restaurant was Willow and Pine Dumpling House but they come up under Dumpling House. The sign on the outside looks like the dumpling house in Frisco. Recommend staying away and go else where.

There were several of us and plenty to serve everyone and it was all good. I wasnt a big fan of the soup, but it was still OK. They have a nice variety of vegetable options. This is my 2 time coming here to eat and ive had the worst experience. Waiters kept passing me and my sister for 2 hours , never took my order or checked if we were ready. My sisters food even got cold from us waiting for someone to attend me. To top is off the old lady with short hair got upset because we did not leave her or them a tip? I walked here with my kiddos while my car was being maintenance at central Kia and it was so good! No wait on Friday morning. Waited 30 min for dumplings and come to find out they never even started making/cooking it. No follow up during the meal to check on us. If they did they would know we were still missing the rest of our order. We had tried getting their attention to check on the dumplings but the guy (same one that took our order) brought us our check instead before coming to us first. We did not even ask for the check but seems like he just assumed we were done with our meal cuz the other 2 tables around us were done. And if they do include the sauce we have ordered 4 boxes of dumplings and they only put 1 little half sauce plastic container for 32 dumplings. I have come to this location for about 2 yrs. Today, I experienced nothing but anger after having a nice dinner with my family. After putting our food in take out boxes and my partner paying. We normally leave a cash tip even if we pay with a card. As we are walking out, a lady comes chasing after us telling us we didnt tip. Mind you, I opened the first set of doors, and my 2yr old is trying to open the second door to get out. Shes showing my husband no see 80 no tip. The tip is under the check. So I moved the check and saw we paid with a card $20 tip under, and she just said sorry and walked away. I wanted to snatch that tip so fast thats so disrespectful because the whole restaurant then looks at us like we are dining and dashing or whatever the case. Im super disappointed

We ask for our check to kid serving the water and we paid the receipt he give is has no where to signed. Fried rice was the least favorite -- super basic, no flavoring really, Kind of just slapped together. But the service is what really annoyed me. The older woman seems sweet but the younger guy with the glasses-- just be prepared for LIMITED contact. He was just a body doing the job-- no real hospitality or service skills. I had to get up to get my own straw. I asked if they had chili oil, he grabbed it off another table a slid/slammed it onto my table. This was my first time going here. Very authentic Asian Dumplings. It is decent on price, but the amount of food you get for it is amazing! I gave food 5 stars cause it was great! Have been ordering take out from this restaurant for a while. On the website it says the restaurant closes at 9:30 on Sunday. I called at 8:53 and was told the kitchen closed. Kitchen close 30 minute early. I told the gentleman very nicely it is 8:53 and he proceeded to hang up on me. Well dumpling house you have lost some customers as I will tell everyone this. I don t want to hear anymore about small businesses needing business.

I recently went to both locations in Frisco and this one, both were good but the service in Plano was the best they were not rude or shoved everyone in one corner, this place the staff was humble and polite and that for me is a plus and kids enjoyed the atmosphere!

I went to Dumpling House to try something new with my mom. Food just wasn t for me but that s not the problem. Their waiting staff is not friendly at all. First sat us down and slammed the menus on the table. My mom had a question about the menu and the waitress took a long deep breath under her mask then yelled for someone to come answer her question in another language. I didn t feel welcomed the second I got seated and just kept getting stared at the rest of the time there. Will never go back.

The food was wonderful, and despite some negative reviews the service was excellent! The woman that served us was very kind. Would absolutely recommend trying this restaurant. The dumplings were delicious, bok choy tender and fresh, and the shrimp wonton soup omg the wontons! Neighboring tables had soup dumplings and bao zi that looked absolutely amazing. The only problem is how to try it all.

How are you feeling? Are you hankering for some tasty, authentic Chinese dumplings? Well This is the right place. Their dumplings are the best dumplings I ve had this side of Shanghai. These are authentic Chinese dumplings. Not only that, but the prices are also very fair. I highly recommend the food. The service is a bit lackluster. We waited for a very long time, and it seemed as if the wait staff was not very interested to help us. However, given my four-star rating, it is clear that the taste of the food outweighed any negative. The restaurant ambience is somewhat lacking as well. This is my go to dumpling place because the food is excellent. A little bit could be done to improve the service and the ambience of the location.

Food was great! Ive had them before but at the time I wasnt the biggest fan of the pan fried pork buns, but now the filling tastes different to me and I loved it. I wish the bottom was crispier, but it was delicious. All the food was delicious and they gave full containers. Got the pan fried pork buns, combination lo mein, golden garlic beef, black bean chicken, pork with bamboo and bean curd, and stir fried seafood. Definitely worth going back for more!

Don t go to this place ever! The young man answered phone call literally has the worst service attitude! If I can I would choose 0 for this shop. If you want to try the same food, go to find other dumplings house in Dallas aera, from what I know, they are owenered by different owners. He asked me if I want to order from plano shop or frisco shop, I answered I should be calling the plano number, right? He started to yell at me for over 1 minutes and hanged up my phone, when I call back no one answer my call. The whole thing was a ridiculous drama had no reason at all, still doesn t understand why he yelled at me, but please don t go to this palce ever!

Absolutely delicious, big portions, and well priced! I love the boiled pork and chive dumplings, egg rolls, veggie fried rice (totally loaded with veggies), and the amazing dessert buns! I had it 3 years ago and it was pretty good, but it was always takeout. I ate it once last week, and the steamed buns, pan-fried buns, meat patties, stuffed meat patties, and xiaolongbao all tasted terrible. Its better to buy quick-frozen food and make it yourself at home. The service is extremely poor, it should be said that there is no service at all

We ordered pork dumplings and sesame chicken last night and my fiancee woke up at 2am with definite food poisoning. I genuinely like the food from this place but we just cant be playing Russian roulette with stuff like this. Dont give your customers questionable meat. First time. Came at lunch. We tried the dumplings. OMG, the skin in them so bouncy and thin. The filling was flavorful. Im not a fan of chives butnyiu cant even detect it. Our server, holy moly she was so nice and patient. Only one server for everyone dining in. Shes like a friend. Would recommend this place for the dumplings and the server. We also order lunch special takeout. So good.

This is one of our favorite restaurants and we go several times a year. There s no question that the dumplings are their best dish. The steamed buns are good too but the dumplings really stand out; especially with the vinegar soy sauce that comes with it. Also had the chive pancake. (We always over order so we can take leftovers home.) We made the mistake of ordering a shrimp yellow curry dish. In a previous review, I read somebody had said stay away from the dishes that don t have to do directly with their area of expertise. Very definitely curry is not an area of expertise for them. We had to bring it home and try to salvage it. Luckily, I had a package of premade yellow curry sauce. I adder it to the leftovers and made two meals from it. Whew! Hate to waste food if we don t have to! The used to be super cranky waitress has become friendlier. It s taken a few years but years of people posting about her lack of English and crankiness have paid off!

I gave one star because there s no zero on here. We ordered a dish of fish fillet in chili sauce and here is what we got. This is the most ridiculous portion I could ve ever got from a restaurant. It was only half of the container. I called them and the cashier said he doesn t know anything about how the chef cooks the dishes with a really bad attitude (it s always the same cashier who picks the order. He is very rude every time. If the owner reads this, I highly recommend you hire someone else because he seems like he really hates this job). He told me the chef was not here today and the owner cooked everything (which I think it s even more ridiculous. Who would ruin his own business like this). i didn t want to spend time on arguing with nonsense. I do not recommend this place and please save your money, find somewhere else.

We tried Dumpling House for the first time last night, and we loved it! We ordered the Pork Cabbage Dumplings, General Tsos Chicken, and Hot Spicy Chicken Fried Rice Noodles. I cannot praise the dumplings enough they were AMAZING! The rice noodle dish was also very delicious. Placing a pickup order on their main website was simple and easy (the images on the Google delivery/ordering system are very helpful). The interior of the restaurant was also very clean and modern looking, which was pleasantly surprising given the location. 10/10 would recommend this restaurant.

Food poisoning from this restaurant - We ordered beef pancakes, steamed buns, fish dumplings and other food from Dumpling House on last Saturday for lunch. My 2 year old child had half of the beef pancake and a fish dumpling while we were preparing the table. When we (the adults) started eating, all three of us immediately realized the beef in the pancake is spoiled, it tasted very sour, it was very obvious that the beef has gone bad. We stopped eating them right away, but my child already had the food before us. After 2 hours, she started vomiting very badly, multiple times (>8), which went on for the whole day, nothing could stop her from vomiting. After vomiting all food she had that afternoon, the last a few times there was no solid food in the vomit, basically just water/liquid from her stomach. My child could not take in any food or even water in that day, and looked extremely uncomfortable and exhausted. The following days, she started having diarrhea for 7-8 times a day, this situation has not been relieved until this Friday. We took her to the pediatrician, the doctor said this is common for food poisoning, the vomit and diarrhea could be lasting for a week. I was so shocked their food quality is so poor, beef pancakes and dumplings are their signature dishes. As a consumer, I expect at lease safe, and healthy food from a restaurant.

Ordered takeout and picked it up. When we got home we realized we only had five items instead of six. We called to tell them we were missing an entree and were told it was sitting right on the counter if we wanted to come pick it up. We said we did not want to go back and asked asked to be refunded the price of the item we did not receive because it was not in the takeout bag THEY gave us. They said no. Food is barely mediocre and service is terrible would never recommend.

We had lunch there today. My wife ordered an entree & I got dumplings, but rather than bringing our food together, they brought hers immediately & mine 10min later telling me that they make the dumplings to order. The dumplings were good, but they should have waited on my wifes food & brought both at the same time. Also, our server never came back by to check on us & merely dropped the check on our table. It would have been nice had she checked on us so that she could have gotten me some more iced tea. So, good food, but not good service.

I have been doing take out here for 10 months and the food here is great. Today I decided to dine in (first time). The food is great, but the customer service is really lacking (unless youre a very cute girl). 3 times I had my daughter go to the counter to get serviced. They forgot one of our orders which they would have known if theyd stopped to check on us. Asked us three times if we were dining in (no, Im just sitting here for my health). They didnt even give us a menu when we asked if we seat ourselves (the menus were right next to the guy). There were 3 teenage boys and a lady working. The boys only paid attention to the young ladies that came in after I did, even covered an order that they got wrong (and apologized profusely about).. Never dining in again... Ill just take it to go.
