I was seated at the bar, and I could see that there were flies around the counter top and as well as the salt and other powder which they use to rim the glass of drinks served to customers. One of the flies fell in my drink but the waitress was good enough to change it. Overall the service was good and on time but only the cleanliness has to be improved.

I will never trust places where the bartender doesn t know how to pour a glass of beer. BUT I appreciate the variety. American beer styles for the most part. The UB Festbier, crispy, with a woody taste that felt pretty good, not traditional of a German marzen but still feel the malty and caramel in the beginning, then it evolves to this woody (maybe some kind of rye?) flavor, good beer after all

First visit and went for dinner. The Texas smothered fries was a home run. It was a perfect balance of ingredients and flavors. The roasted poblano queso and chips was also delicious. Tip: if you order the fish tacos entree, it basically comes with a full-size order of the queso and chips. The elote and brisket flatbread was crispy, the sweetness of the elote balanced the spiciness.

In town for business and dropped in for Dinner. I tried a few samples of the beers. All were excellent and importantly to me at least, balanced. The highlight was the Black Pepper & Lemon Chicken. One of the best dishes I have had in a long time. The seasonal fruit crisp included rhubarb and mango. It was good (enough to share) but the mango was unnecessary and over used. Just the rhubarb would have been perfect.

Absolutely stellar experience at Union Bear this evening. Food was amazing, the restaurant itself offered a wonderful ambience, and our service was knocked out of the park. Tucker was knowledgeable, super friendly, and extremely quick with everything we asked for. He bent over backwards to really ensure our wonderful dining experience! They seemed slammed but thanks to him, it never once felt like we were rushed. And one of the chefs even took the time to come out and ask how everything was/if we needed anything. Customer experience is a priority here and it shows. I cannot wait to come back!

Came here on Sunday evening. Outstanding!! Great food, wonderful service snd manager (Sean) was a lot of fun. We played cards and drank some beer. My 86 year old mother tried the Table Beer and said it was the best beer she has EVER had! We all tried it and agreed. Extremely drinkable, light. Perfect beer for burgers and game. Food wasnt anything to brag about, average greasy bar food. Our server was too busy hanging out at the bar talking and not checking on us in a timely manner. Loud atmosphere. I no longer recommend this place. 3 years prior: This was my husband and I first time there and it was delicious. Their food doesnt hold back in flavor. My husband and I have been to Union Bear a handful of times and we really enjoy it every time we go! He loves the Honey Pig flatbread and I ve enjoyed the Monte Cristo and The Woodsman flatbreads. I had the opportunity to go to Happy Hour at Union Bear. It was a great experience. The cocktails were amazing. I had the Korean BBQ wings, and they were delicious. Definitely, a new go-to spot for lunch, happy hour, dinner, etc. They also have a patio facing the Boardwalk, too.

Wonderful location with booths, high tops, bar seating, and outside seating. We sat at the bar and Chad waited on us. He was HUSTLING making drinks for so many customers who were just walking up to the servers station to order drinks, AND still made time to check in on us. The location was easy to find and the parking was effortless. The environment was cozy and warm. Restrooms were clean and had a decent amount of stalls. However, the food was subpar. The fish tasted greasy and the batter lacked seasoning. The grease should have been changed. The queso and chips was missing something like black pepper or seasoning salt. The chicken wings were good and you can taste the soy sauce. The Greek salad was awesome and flavorful. But, the pita bread that came with the salad was harder than a cracker. The Seasonal Fruit Crisp dessert was horrible. It was not baked and it had Nature Valley type of bars on it. Black Approved!

I highly recommend the UB pretzel bites! Mustard powerful enough to bring tears to your eyes like wasabi. And the cream on top is the beer cheese. So yum. Walking into this establishment was great! Great warm setting, warm welcome at the front, and then we sat a the beautiful bar. Chad was epic! He was knowledge with the company and knew all the other establishments under the owner, after I asked if it was owned by the same people of Taverna Rosa since the bar drop looked the same. No one goes there nowadays, it s too crowded. said Yogi Berra. That would not apply to our lunch experience at Union Bear. Check out the crowd photos on St Patricks Day celebration. Great first impression. SHE who cashes my retirement check had been here before for lunch with friends so when our 1st choice restaurant was too crowded we came here. Seating right away and order placed. We got small salad each and split a flatbread. More than enough food. Menu was different on weekday. Not hungry at supper hour later. Order taking is with a hand held computer. When ready to pay server brings ticket, scan QR code which connects to website to pay. Best to have Google Wallet already on phone to take care of paying. Only downside was place was packed so noise level off the charts for me. Glad I had some ear plugs on me to cut down noise.

Just after Christmas I took my four grandsons to the Frisco Union Bear for burgers. The restaurant appears to be fairly new and is local to the Dallas area. More of an upscale sports bar vibe. Very nice decor. Service was prompt and we all ordered burgers and fries. I have to say if was one of the best burgers Ive had in quite a while. The bun was pillowy and very fresh, the burger patty fit the bun perfectly. It was beautiful and could have been used for an advertisement. Great Bar, community seating is a little less than organized. Great menu, Flatbread and Service were excellent. House salad needs to be revamped. There is no need for Cheddar Cheese on a salad. Also, when done right, the Fish & Chips are excellent. However, on this trip, the fries were overly greasy and soggy. The Batter on the Fish was also too thick and cakey. Suggest using some of that wonderful beer on tap to keep the batter lighter and cold before frying!!

After seeing some reviews based on menu items being taken off, drinks being charged to the wrong table and being asked to not be rowdy loud, I am taken back because this restaurant is top notch. From the service, to the food prepared and to the cleanliness let s applaud a well run restaurant and be grateful for the wonderful world we live in and the opportunity to share experiences with our friends at a great brewpub!

If you re coming to this place go for the happy hour. Food prices reasonably drinks prices great! If you like beer this place is for you. Fish n chips batter was raw inside and sent it back. Only items worth it on happy hour menu were the flatbread and sweet and spicy shrimp. Great atmosphere for after work or to watch sports. Patio is covered and has heaters for when it gets too cold. Lots of space for groups and families.

UB has a large selection of locally crafted beers on tap and decent bar food. My issue is with the bartenders. The experience is hit or miss depending on who is working that day.

I have been a loyal patron of Union Bear for many years. Received a complaint tonight about being too loud my friends and I are all professionals and have never been asked to leave a bar. This is highly irregular and I would not go back after this experience. Really disappointed at this behavior from Union Bear management.

I loved this place, but my last visit, I had terrible service. I was charged for drinks that went to the wrong table, then was charged again for the replacement drinks! I do not advise wasting money on this establishment. I know I certainly wont.

We went to Union Bear last night and got to sit out on the patio. Our food was amazing, our server Selah was the best, and we were even able to get beers to go to sit by the fire. We love Union Bear and will be back. Thanks, Selah, for making our experience so great!

Giving 2 stars for the drinks - which were excellent. Ordered the salmon and tuna poke bowl. It arrived with no less than 1/2 a huge onion in it. No biggie, just picked it out. Then I noticed the avocado was very obviously rotten. That deep brown slimy kind of rotten. Again, simply ate around it. But then I came across a piece of random, shrivelled piece of corn in my food and that was it. Just disgusting. Returned the plate and carried on with our evening. No manager came out, no chef came to address it. Still, happily carried on. But after I returned the dish, service was non-existent at the bar. We sat with empty glasses for over 30 mins while the bartender completely ignored us. We got the check and left. I ve been here many times and would have gladly stayed and continued my evening, but never again. Sorely disappointed at the terrible service. With so many other great options in the area, there s just no reason to return.

Delicious food and beautiful broadwalk view. As a vegetarian I was apprehensive but this place was a delight, customizable menu, few but delicious vegetarian options and over the top vibe. Thanks for such a wonderful service! If you want to explore some delicious flatbread, soups and salads do visit this restaurant. Highly recommended!

Ambience and service were excellent however the drinks and appetizers (flat bread pizza, shrimp, chips and queso, pretzel bites..) left more to be wonted. Mixed drinks were sickly sweet and the light beer was a bit skunk-y for my taste. All in all, a festive gathering spot with franchise quality food.
