Our only complaint is of the manager that was rude to a staff member. Scolding her like if she was a child and not caring who was around to hear it. Up to that point, we were having a nice time. He was cutting her off and not letting her get a word in. We were going to share our experience and concerns with another manager, but unfortunately, he was the only one there and turns out to be the District Manager. He obviously needs to go back to management training and most importantly get some people skills. This rating is not about the wait staff and hostesses, they deserve a five star.

My wife and I came in to avail the last day of the All You Can Eat pancakes combo deals today. We placed two orders, one an omelette and one being the full stack pancakes that come as an AYCE order. After receiving our meals, only 10 minutes into eating our food, with the plates still visibly full of pancakes, eggs and hash browns, CLAUDIA (the so-called waitress ), brings us our check and leaves it on our table. She comes back 10-15 minutes later to ask if we were ready to pay out WITHOUT coming to our table to even ask if we needed a refill of water or anything else, as we were still eating our meals. My wife politely said not yet. This waitress didn t bother to come back to our table and had the hostess come to see if we were ready to pay. At this time, I lost my patience and explained to her what s going on. I asked to speak to the manager. The managers explanation was even if they give the check early, they don t mean to rush us out of the restaurant. But what about asking us if we needed any refills for our water, or to come check on us at least once after we get our meals and what about asking if we needed more pancakes since I got the AYCE order?!? No explanation and this manager seemed to be making excuses for poor customer service. No refunds or apologies. We paid the full price and left. The problem is that this is not the first time this place has given us poor customer service, they always seem in a rush to push people out the doors (this was NOT even a busy time) and they don t seem to want to honor the AYCE pancakes. I ll contact the corporate office during business hours. It s obvious the management/wait staff needs to be trained on customer service because it s not right for any patron to be treated that way when they re spending their hard earned money on this establishment. After reading the other reviews, now we know this is a recurrent issue at this IHOP location.

I went to ihop this morning as I thought they are trustable and will provide me clean tasty food but I was almost done with my French toast breakfast when I saw bunch of ants in my plate that was in maple syrup served with my meal, I can imagine how many fire ants I would have consumed , the manager Rafael Martinez was neglect and was not giving me incident report then I called the police officer then he bring the incident report to me to fill out as he thought I will walk away with food poisoning that was caused by fire ants. I normally enjoy your pancakes however I was craving them one late night and decided to do carry out. I ordered the red, white, and blue pancakes only which should have been 4 pancakes but instead I only received 3 pancakes and I didnt bother to contact the restaurant as it was after 1am and it wasnt worth my time to drive back to correct it nor get the extra pancake. The person who took my order was nice. The only thing that I would correct is to make sure that everything is in the order before giving it to the customer. Next time I will plan to dine in.

I have a good and a bad. My girlfriend and I went to this ihop (I love ihop) 2 days in a row and the 2 experiences could not have been more different!! On one occasion our server was Kasey and he was THE BEST! Super friendly, food hot and delicious, drinks kept full and we were even given 1 to go. Kasey was funny and fun, but professional and the orders were correct, hot, and delicious. The other day, not so much. We had a gal server whose name I unfortunately don t remember. She was surly, got my friend s order wrong then blamed it on her saying This is what you ordered, and worst, I had a prepaid gift Visa card that she took from me, went to the register with, and after about 10 minutes, came back to our table and $2.50 had mysteriously disappeared off my card. I d like to think it was an accident, but when I told the manager about it the next day (I realized later in the day when I tried to use the balance on the card and it was $2.50 short), he smiled, but shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Really, you can t just comp me a Coke to make me feel better?! Won t return to this location!!! Sorry Kasey, you were amazing!

We were sat the back near where the dishes are done and 2 servers were literally talking about me and someone else being overweight in the most disgusting way. We didn t even finish our food because how loud these 2 gentlemen were talking about who ever the person was and also said a few inappropriate things about my appearance while I was eating!!! I told the manager but I got the perception he didn t care. I won t ever go to this ihop ever again. Don t go here it s hot there was a hair on our food is was disgusting. I ordered a delivery of th new buttermilk biscuit and gravy combo and added mozzarella cheese sticks, at around 5:15 last night for delivery. When I got the food it was all cold. The gravy was so salty, and barely any sent, I couldnt eat it. The 4 sausages were cold in the middle. There was 1 over easy egg, supposed to be 2, and I asked for extra crispy hash browns, but they were barely brown and gummy. The mozzarella cheese sticks werent even warm and the cheese was hard liked they werent fried long enough to even melt. I wouldnt recommend this platter or place to anyone!

The server tried to steal our change! I had to tell another worker that I was shorted on my change and that I needed the correct amount. The server gave us our food and then our bill about 15 minutes afterwards. We werent even finished with our meals and they already wanted us to pay. We werent being checked up on for the duration of our time and we had to call our waiter over for refills. She spent a lot of time with other tables and even the manager was asking other tables if theyre doing good. Not once did they stop by mine to ask if the food was good or if Im enjoying the service. So this location now refuses to take online orders via their app. When I call to place a phone order and to find out why they are not accepting online orders, I m told they don t accept phone orders for pick up either and that you must come in and order then wait. I m told it s because people were ordering food then not showing up. Seriously?? Isn t that all the more reason to take online orders where you have to prepay on the app when you order?? Friendly servers, good pancakes, but nobody seems to look at the food being served. My wife and I stayed at the hotel down the block. The first night, I ordered steak and eggs. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium, but they basically gave me beef jerky. The second night, my wife ordered avocado toast with eggs over hard and fruit. After waiting at the ihop for over 20 minutes past the time it was supposed to be ready, I complained about the wait. The waitress brought my food a few minutes later. I walked back to the hotel and discovered that the eggs were over easy, which my wife can t eat. So I walked back to the ihop and waited 10 more minutes while they cooked the food correctly, then walked back to the hotel again. When I got to the hotel, my wife asked where the fruits were. At this point, I had been waiting and walking back and forth to the IHOP for over an hour, so I just gave up. Whoever is working the kitchen isn t paying attention.

We only get to come to this Plano location every great now and then. Today was a very good experience with our amazing waiter, Abram (Red). He was attentive and so very kind asking us if we needed anything right when we needed it. He was never rushed and made us feel most comfortable. He let us know that he worked certain days of the week and that hed love to have us return again. We could sure use a few more Abrams in our crazy world today. Thank you very much IHOP for employing good people like Abram and keeping the traditions going! This location used to be very good. I had to drop from a five star in the past to a four star. (I do not use many four stars) Everyone was very nice and the place was pretty clean. But while eating a late lunch they were pulling booths apart to do some kind of maintenance right next to us. Food order was wrong on one plate and was cold on another, it was all corrected, tea was not refilled, our waiter had a personal emergency and had to have us pay out before we were done eating and really that is fine (Life happens). But how about getting someone else to step in and take their place. In my business when we have to have a team member bail, we have a fill in take over. Even if the fill in has to be the manager. The focus is that the customer is never aware of an issue and only sees great service. As soon as I saw the reviews were down to 3.8 from what i used to remember seeing as 4.2+ I was sure it was not just me. Corporate only needs to work on the basics of making the team aware how important they are and showing it. then that can trickle down to great customer service. As a customer I am paying 10 to 15% more for the food and service we are receiving from a few years ago. I get it, but would like for the service to not go down as price goes up.

I only write the reviews in the restaurant when I run out of things to do to pass the time anyway we re at about 78 minutes now and I ve made a paper sculpture with the straw wrappers and assigned spiritual rocks to all of my friends and here we are. This ihop in particular apparently also has a faulty wifi and a boatload of other excuses for wasting your time. The unfortunate part about writing this while waiting for the food is that I don t have any food to rate but judging from the look of the table next to us maybe we sho- Sorry the food finally came so I took a break from roasting this establishment to eat. And after careful review I decided it was just good enough for it to be most definitely not worth the hour long wait whatsoever. ihop-py holidays!

We went there on a Saturday evening. There were only three tables eating. There was only one waitress and one cook. You can see the food was stacked up in the kitchen from one end to the other. The waitress was running as fast as she could and kept a good attitude, unlike the IHOP on US75 and 15th (same staffing issue). We were eventually seated after a long wait and three more tables came in. They finally had additional staffing came in. They were all friendly but were just playing catch up. The fault was not the staff but to only have one waitress and one cook to begin with. Food was what you would expect from IHOP.

Step in from there cold tonight into this 24-hour, diner vibe in West Plano. Miles and the team are courteous, efficient, and full of personality. My Country Fried Steak was perfect: crispy, medium, juicy. White gravy, perfect. Hash browns, perfect. Pancakes, perfect. Sunny-side eggs, runny and perfect. House Iced Coffee, cold brew, perfect. Also, theres one table by the front desk that has power outlet access.

Got melted plastic chunk in my Poblano omelette. When asked for the manager, the manager didn t turn up and instead only sent the server to us. The waiter took the piece and didn t come back and simply asked if we could replace it. Lacked accountability and did face the issue. @ihop management you need to look into this as this is unacceptable. Melted Plastic in my food which and no accountability. This is something we could sue as my health is at stake. We didn t get a chance to report and this is putting people s health and life at risk. I don t know who will see this but if anyone from iHop management sees this, I hope to take some action. This isn t acceptable.

I have been coming to this location for a long time and little by little this place has been getting worse but last night me and my wife decided not to come here anymore. The kitchen staff LOUD and arguing with each other. Plus the place was empty and it still took forever to get our food out. The omelet was BAD. The services seems like they are trying to be helpful but either not trained properly or I dont know what. They brought the wrong food to us 1. 2 they never brought us refills. And even the waitress was annoying with the kitchen staff, telling us that 4 cooks and still have a hard time with the food. Sorry but never going back again.

This IHOP is the best. It was 4pm & I wanted breakfast. The eggs were fluffy, bacon and hash browns were crispy (I ordered them that way), pancakes were light as air, full of taste. The highlight of my visit was my server, Jesus. He was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and more than willing to help. I wish all servers could take a lesson from Jesus in courtesy, willingness to help and serve. Kudos to Jesus!

Multiple families tonight leaving because no one wanted to give any service. One family already contacted HR, but my family sadly had to just sit there. All waited over 15 minutes to still receive no response on taking orders for drinks or food. Cashier said Goodluck trying to reach management because they re drinking (alcohol) on the job in the back. There was also smoking involved because the smell was radiating off the employees clothes. Today was a Christmas event at the downtown Plano area and this completely ruined the night.

Woah. What is going on tonight?! Employees arguing with another family when we got seated. Then we quickly understood why. Two at the front giggling, playing, running their mouth about management being in the back drinking. They all seemed high. No one waited on our family of 7. The cook was visibly on his phone at the back. Didn t even get a drink order in. Absolutely the worst service I ve ever experienced. Don t waste your time at this location. We walked out.

I am grateful they were open but I wish I had gone somewhere else... first, it was freezing and uncomfortable to sit . The bacon was worst I ever had. People were shouting and laughing so loudly from the kitchen that it was distracting. Another table complained about poor quality food and the waiter mentioned that they talk to the manager but managers dont listen and dont care... and it shows. It seems like amateur hour here...

We came into this i hop about 5pm, I was hungry for a chicken fried steak..I ordered the Chicken fried steak and toast . Firs the toast was burnt and look old, second the chicken fried steak was bad and tasted old as well and like a steak fresh from a fast food place The hash brown were over done and the eggs were overdone as well... Over all I feel like I got a meal left over from lunch, it was by far the worst meal I have ever had at I hop.. I hope this is isolated case.. This place need a managment do over... And last but not least when I used the bathroom is was dirty with toilet paper on the floor and it was out of towels.. I told my wife to add this place to our list of not coming back too.. I have noticed for a while now that this location was going down hill, but I think now it has reach the bottom..

Food was okay, the part that seemed really bad was the amount of employees sitting down on the booths and talking while customers are either waiting to be sat or waiting for their order to be taken. I came here with my family (6) around 3 in the afternoon and there was no one in the restaurant. It took about 10 minutes to be sat and there was a man staring at us the entire time (he was an employee) we finally got sat and it took 20 mins to get out order taken. There was an employee with his family in one of the booths that were being loud and loudly conversing with the other employees instead of taking orders. Besides there not being any customers, the restaurant was incredibly dirty. I won t be visiting again.

Did the little things that I noticed that were above and beyond in my opinion like refilling my cup of coffee with out me asking. Food made my boyfriend sick the next morning, which is an achievement since anyone who knows him calls him the human garbage disposal. My food was under fulfilling to make it simple. The wait was much longer, to be seated, greeted, served, and even pay then it should have been. not one refill was given. I dont expect a 5 star experience, but Id assume they would give a bit more effort for a fairly empty restraunt. Id warn people before I would suggest dining here. Review after 2 years : Horrible service from 3 of the staff we spoke with, wasnt given a coffee pot even tho we ordered coffee, salty waffles, raw and burnt bacon, I wouldnt suggest this ihop to my worst enemy
