It has a cute beach vibe and the waitress was nice but thats about it. The food was very bland. My sister got a qusadilla and it barely had any meat or cheese in it (you get more when you go to taco bell). I had a huge piece of Mahi Mahi but it wasnt seasoned. The drinks were very sub par. The sweet potato fries were the best part of the meal. Also way over priced and FYI they charge you if you dont pay cash. It was listed as a Non cash adjustment and was almost $6 (check was about $104). Will not be going back, unfortunately.

I was really looking forward for great quality food but was highly disappointed. Burger was plain, burger patty was overcooked and lack flavor. Queso and chips are offered as home made queso and fresh chips and it wasn t the case. Location and atmosphere was great but drinks and food not great at all.

Was hoping for better! Came at 5pm on a Friday and we were the only ones there. Looked like the bartender was the only one front of house. She was good, but she was definitely multitasking as service was somewhat slow. One set of silverware arrived dirty, and there was residue inside the napkin. There was also a bad sewer smell in the hallway near the restrooms. We had a water and a Pina Colada. The Pina coladas ice was so chunky that it was more like crushed ice versus blended. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, the pulled pork flatbread and a luao trio with 2 sliders, 4 coconut shrimp, and 2 chicken tenders. The crab cakes were good! The little salad on the plate has a yummy dressing . The pull pork flatbread was lacking flavor. It looked good, but none of the flavors stood out, just all mixed together in mediocre flavor. The Luao trio was nothing to write home about either! The chicken tender breading was really thin compared to how thick the chicken was, and the sliders had the worlds smallest amount of pork on a kings Hawaiian roll. The coconut shrimp was good, but the store bought sauce they were served with didnt taste like it belonged with the dish, maybe better with an egg roll? Overall we probably wont be back. Was really hoping for a good place downtown! Parking: Street parking limited, but there are nearby garages and parking lots a block or two away!

I didn t know what to expect and I have to say I was very impressed by the whole experience. The service was excellent and my goodness the food was SO GOOD!! I ordered the Salt and Steak salad thinking I was getting a typical salad with some chopped up beef. Nope it was a very fresh full salad and a whole steak made to perfection right on top. It was delicious and so filling. My daughter had the chicken tenders and loved them. Someone at our table ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was probably the best looking Caesar salad I ve seen and tasted. I will definitely be back!! Ordered the Mahi sandwich with sweet potato fries @ $18, it was really good. However, when I get the bill and it says $20. I point out the diff to the bartender, he goes to check, comes back and says, oh recently we started up charging for the sweet potato fries and gives me my bill back & walks away. No where on the menu is that stated and I will not be back. Up charging is totally fine if you tell me before hand or at all before you charge me. Nevermind the fact that they charge you more for using a card instead of cash.

First off, the interior is amazing, just coming home from mexico beaches it made me feel like I got transported back. We parked our bikes right in front and walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. Jayla took care of us and she was super nice. We ordered the coconut shrimp, chips and queso, and by Jaylas recommendation, the chicken tacos! I also got the peach cocktail drink, i didnt take a picture but it was amazing. I might come back here just for it I didnt get to grab any photos in time since everything was good, except for the queso. It came out cold and it felt like it wasnt seasoned properly. However Jayla rectified the situation promptly. Shout out to Jayla for making it right. Will come back!

Great atmosphere and service from bartender Lexi. The pina colada was excellent. We ordered appetizers : fried chicken tenders, fried coconut shrimps, pulled pork sliders and pulled pork nachos. We enjoyed all but the nachos . Nacho chips were not crunchy. If it were served in a bigger plate, the chips would get some toppings.

Food was pretty good. The bar tender was absolutely horrendous. Not sure if I upset her, but she completely ignored me when I was trying to ask her about drinks and the menu. The woman s bathroom was closed? There was a horrible smell coming out of it. I wound up using the men s bathroom. Update * I was contacted by the restaurant and they reviewed my feedback. Hopefully I will make it back to see the positive changes!

The two bartenders tonight, I only know Helana. The two, INCLUDING Helena were doing their best with the crowd. Better than most places I been. Pretty disappointed with the food quality. The Caesar salad arrived with the butt still attached to the lettuce, so it wasn t cleaned properly. The dirt inside the leaves confirmed this. The steak was chewy and tasteless. Very bland. The yellow guacamole was unappetizing. The only tolerable food item was the coconut shrimp, which arrived immediately so I m guessing it was microwaved. The waitress seemed nice, but the atmosphere felt more like a dive bar than anything to do with a beach. There are too many great food choices in the area, so please don t waste your time here.

The crab cakes were tasty however overpriced for size. The burgers/sandwiches were over cooked, asked for medium rare on Burger got well done and didnt taste great. They went overboard on the bacon and cooked to well done and went light on the other toppings such as the blue cheese. So it came out as dry and missing the flavors for the item ordered. The drinks that our table got were overpriced and light on the pour.( First sip tasted the alcohol subsequent sips mixer only)

I came for lunch and the food was good. Kitchen got the food out fast. But the front of house service was incredibly slow (see update). The bartender was the only one working the front and she was busy with bar prep the entire time. After waiting 20 minutes I finally asked for my check so I could pay. Not a great spot for a quick lunch unless they gain some situational awareness. (See update) Update - with the owner response, and Ive been back and the service has been good since, Im upgrading my review. :)

It s a fun bar! They are not a tiki bar though. More a beach themed bar. I asked for a few tiki classics and they didn t know how to make them. I don t think the locals know the difference so it s ok. The locals are there for a shot and a bar most days. Definitely a welcome addition to Plano.

My boyfriend and I decided to randomly stop for a bite to eat at Coco Beach while walking around downtown Plano. This restaurant did not disappoint, I highly recommend! [6/4/2023, $10] I had a lunch special for $10 that comes with fries and a drink. This is a very good value. Fries were very crispy and voluminous. A burger I had very good with or without considering the price. It had grilled pineapples with gooey cheese. I would put taste of this burger above any Whataburger item. Normal price for the burger combo I had was $15 which is still fair. This restaurant is bit slow due to its newness. I asked - the restaurant sells 3 sandwiches and 2 burgers for lunch special for $10. [5/2/2023, $10] tightly packed sandwiches. They were very good.

So take time and go ahead make sure they really see the tip...Even after the employee asked the remaining party that was at the table about how much they thought the tip was? The remaining party said well its probably not what your saying you think it is its probably 10.00 ! After I received the actual bank statement, I called and the young lady Triston said , she would follow up but then she said wait she was the only one working that night, Well I said you definitely wasnt our server/ bartender and I actually went to the bar and paid the bill myself, to the young man that served us , ....Note to employee or any restaurant server/bartender if the tip amount looks or you cant tell what it really says ! My advice would be just dont guess its 10 times more than it was.....Wait before you just guess , Im waiting for owner to get back with me about the problem , Or is this kind of normal problem or do the servers just actually think they are worth that for thier service ? Not saying your not just saying ask yourself would you leave a tip that almost matched the check??? Some coworkers and I called in lunch orders a couple weeks ago. I got the Island Burger and it was one of the best burgers Ive had in a while. Cooked to order, the spicy teriyaki and pineapple are amazing together along with the Swiss cheese. The menu is limited and kind of pricey so I might just stick with the lunch or brunch specials. The to-go boxes are great and microwave safe, only thing I would change is maybe pick ones with holes in the tops. All of our French fries were soggy by the time we got back to the office. We work 2 blocks down. However, the sweet potato fries were good. I tasted the chicken tender and the crunch was epic! I will definitely be back for the Mai Tai and Hurricane happy hours. I hope they dont disappoint Cute little spot. Definitely check it out.

Lovely location, pleasant staff, but poor execution. The signature pina colada was tasty, but contained chunks of coconut milk, leading to a rather unpleasant, cement mixer drink experience. The coconut shrimp appetizer looked and tasted like it had just come from the frozen section of the local grocery store. And, if flavorless pulled pork is your thing, then by all means order the Pulled Pork Flatbread. All in all, my takeaway is overpriced, subpar bar grub with an attempt at a beach feel. I wouldnt bother. Kid-friendliness: Fairly limited seating aside from bar. Didnt appear to be any booster seats or high chairs, but did not ask. YMMV.

We had a great first experience today at Coco Beach Plano. The burgers were both fantastic and the ceviche was fresh and delicious. Some of the prices do seem a little steep (like the chicken tenders and salads) but some of that is expected when seafood is available. Service was great too. Overall, we were really happy with our experience and are glad to have another option in DTP.

A beautiful new spot in downtown Plano. These pulled pork nachos were phenomenal, the staff was fantastic, delicious drinks, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended and cannot wait to return. A very welcomed addition to downtown Plano.
