I would give this place a 5 if they had some healthy choices but I had the big foot long with onion rings and both were fabulous! Server kept us informed and was attentive. Typical sports bar atmosphere but booths were comfortable and we could actually hear ourselves talking.

Wasn t greeted upon entering. Found someone and told them I had a pickup. He said he would check on it and never came back. Sat and waited 29 minutes still no one came. Bartender was talking to someone the whole time, finally asked him for my pick up and it was ready in the back the whole time

Fried pickles were mid, mostly batter. Got the sliders which were good. Can t go wrong with the cheese fries, but wish the server asked if I wanted it fully loaded. Service could ve been better they asked if we wanted a togo box and proceeded to throw away our food after we said yes. No water refills or checked up during our visit. Wish Snuffer s was how I remembered it to be from back in the day.

Definitely more of a happy hour place than a restaurant. Offers hamburgers, nachos, chicken sandwiches and a couple of salads. Fajita Chicken strips on the salad had a good flavor, but mild. Salad had mixed leafy greens, hard-boiled egg, red onions, cheese and good ranch dressing. (Also had Caesar salad) Music was loud and annoying. Not many people on a Sunday afternoon. Waiter was accessible (walked by often) without bothering.

The only reason for a 4 was we found a hair in our burger. The staff handled it well and we were satisfied with their accommodation. Other than that, the food was really good, hot fresh and tasty. I loved the Dr. Pepper BBQ burger and the onion rings were delicious (a tad spicy). The sweet tea was so good and refreshing. Loved it!

What a common theme with restaurants in Plano. Snuffers has amazing food that is out of this world. I ordered the blue cheese burger and the quarter Pound Hot dog and it was incredible. What wasnt incredible is the service. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes for a pickup and nobody showed up. Even had two patrons sit at the bar looking for service while I was there and still nobody showed up. Found a bag sitting on the table with my name on it so I took it and left. The kitchen staff aka heart of the House should have gotten all of my tip. The front of a house needs work. Again a typical theme in Plano where the kitchen staff makes the restaurant and the front of a house breaks the restaurant.

UPDATE 07/16/2024 Original delicious onion rings are back!! And the rest of the food is awesome. One of the very best burgers in Dallas, and they have been for over 40 years. This location in West Plano has great service, too. Both Ash and Mizu are great servers. Disregard my 2023 review and get you to Snuffer s and enjoy some rings. OLD REVIEW We have been loyal customers of Snuffers for 40 years, dating back to the original on Greenville Ave. Weve always been able to count on Snuffers for a good, tasty basic hamburger and sides. Until now. Im done with Snuffers. My wife and I ate at the West Plano location the evening of October 24. Two turkey burgers, an order of onion rings, and drinks. The burgers were fine. But the onion rings were godawful, just horrible! Snuffers used to have big, thick, lightly coated rings, but these were like deep fried Funyuns. Same quality as Ore-Ida out of a vat of grease. Skinny little rings with hardly any onion, swimming in grease. Just disgusting. When our server came to settle up, we mentioned how bad the onion rings were. She told us that since they went to a new menu and changed the rings, theyd gotten a lot of complaints about the rings. She suggested I contact corporate to voice my complaint. And, to add insult to injury, the rings are listed on the menu at $4.50. The charge on the receipt was $5.25. A small difference was deceptive. I wrote to Snuffers corporate the following morning. They say to give them 2-4 business days to respond. 4 days later, no response. So, I wrote again. 4 days later, still no response. So, I researched and found their parent company -- Local Favorite Restaurants -- and wrote to them. Almost a week later, no response. 40 years of good food and hospitality earns you some goodwill. But the complete absence of customer service just burned through that. Snuffers, their management, and their corporate ownership just dont seem to care about their customers. There are plenty of great burgers in Dallas -- Sky Rocket Burger, Scotty Ps, Chips, and dozens of others. To hell with Snuffers. Im done with them.

I love Snuffers but I usually go to a different location. This was my first visit to this location. I always get the loaded fries and they were too salty to eat. I also ordered the fried pickles and they were so hard I couldn t bite into them. I won t go back.

Ive always had a good experience at Snuffers, until, this location. Our food was cold, bland and undercooked, with a few raw vegetables that should have been cooked and raw bacon on a burger. We were a party of 5, with each of us having similar complaints. I wont be going back to this location. Our waiter was decent and we let him know about our problems.

Just seems run down. Maybe its living out its final days, and the dont want to invest in sprucing it up. Worst part is the mens restroom smelled worse than most gas stations, reeking of urine. Glad I didnt go BEFORE eating. Otherwise, they had a cheap lunch for 10 bucks, and our server was good. An overall meh. I wont go out of my way to eat here again, but might stop by if Im near and looking for a cheap-ish lunch. I will just be sure to pee first.

I enjoy coming to Snuffer s, this location. However, beware on ordering the bean and cheese nachos. I ordered them with the cheese on the side. I did not know there is a shortage of on beans. I literally took my fork to scoop off the beans so I could try the beans, there was hardly any beans on my tortilla chips. I was disappointed. I usually LOVE everything I order at Snuffers. I don t know what happened this time in the kitchen. I will be back to this location because 9 out of 10 they do good.

Dont come here if you have a group that needs separate checks. Dont order the meat loaf unless youre not hungry. The cheese fries came out cold. We had a group of 6 and our waiter didnt tell us until after he got everyones order that he was only going to split it two ways. He kept walking away before everyone could order appetizers. This led to one of us getting the appetizer at the same time as the main entré. They also had a sign that said seat yourself and when our group tried to go to the long table the bar attendant kept trying to talk us into sitting at a four top.

Most places dont bother to give nice buns on their sandwiches. That is definitely not the case at Snuffers. The bun was nice and not just pulled out of a bag and used, but also seeded for flavor. The fries were fresh cut. The vegetables were crisp and cold, also extremely fresh. I would recommend their cheese burger because of the taste, and quality of the vegetables, bun etc. The server was quick, component, and friendly.

My daughter loves their cheese fries. We always get a large with all the toppings on the side. This time we split a burger but she only took a few bites and mainly focused on the fries. Honestly the cheese fries here are my favorite but I love their burgers too. My go to is the bacon cheddar burger. Never really had a bad experience.

We were frequent visitors to the original Snuffers on Greenville Ave when we were in college. Since they have been franchised, there are more locations which is great. They also have a bigger menu than the old days. I cant comment on the newer menu items as i get me classic items when we get to visit. The nachos are iconic. Best anywhere. We get a small order as there is way more food coming. The Swiss American burger is still in my top 5 burgers nationally. The poppi-seed bun adds such a great flavor to an already delicious burger. Meat seasoned perfectly- so good! The Cheadle fries are the bomb. No other restaurant does them justice or even comes close. You can get bacon or jalapeños on them now, we stay with the original as thats what we remember. One of Americas best burger places.

Ive been enjoying Snuffers since I was a teen in the 1980s. The Plano location seems to have gone downhill recently. The cheddar fries only had a layer of cheese on the top rather than layered within. I ordered Frito pie and there was no chili! And my son wanted a shake only to find out they dont do shakes anymore. Lastly, the service has been really inconsistent at this location.

We came to this location because we really like their Rockwall location. Service was great, Robert R was a great server! Food was great, consistent quality from the other location. Cheese fries were on point. The lower rating comes from the nickel-and-diming that we noticed at this location. Apparently you pay an extra $2-3 for chives, bacon, and jalapeños on their famous cheese fries, which is pretty ridiculous for how little those items actually cost the restaurant. Fries no longer come with the burgers and sandwiches. It seems that other locations do all that now, but the patty melt I ordered would ve been $1.50 cheaper at the Rockwall location. It s not much, sure, but it adds up pretty quick.

Snuffers has been around for seemingly a lifetime since when they were first on Greenville in Dallas. It had been many years since we had eaten our teenage hangout! We were craving their Cheese fries and we found they had a location in Plano. The atmosphere was wonderful when we walked in. Their was plenty of seating, a large selection of a beer, and of course a cheese fries which we quickly ordered for the entire table. There was plenty for our table of 5. They were devoured quickly! Next, we all ordered different burgers. Now, this is where one star was lost - only because the burgers were small and did not actually even fit the bun they were on ( that was all the burgers ordered - 5). The taste was very good and the price was ok compared to the fact the burgers were smaller. The waitstaff did a wonderful job, they ere very attentive. All in all we would go back - we just may order a second appetizer for the family because of the size of the burgers. We are happy to see that Snuffers is still around! Havent been to snuffers in forever and decided to go. Went around 5pm on a weekday and it was dead! Being the one of the only ones in the restaurant the waiters were all just hanging out and talking amongst eachother. Which I didnt mind until I ran out of water while eating and my waiter disappeared for 45min and another waiter brought us our food then also disappeared. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was HOT but tasty! My co worker got a burger and asked for no tomatoes and no onions and the burger came out having both on it. It almost felt like we were just being brushed off. Cheese fries were a classic and definitely were the star of the night!

Darren took personal ownership to the next level today for me and my family. We werent seated in his section, but as soon as he noticed we werent being attended to, he adopted us and made sure we were taken care of for the rest of our visit. 7 people at bar. 7 tables sat with 4 wait people. Took 10 minutes to get margarita. Fried mushrooms were soggy. Burgers were ordered plain. One 1/4 pound no cheese. One 1/2 pound with cheese. Burgers came out loaded with veggies. Both were 1/4 pound. Sent them back and all they did was scape off veggies and sent them back. Sent them back and told to make new ones. In the meantime we tried to eat the very over salted fries. Third time burgers came out correct. No one ever asked if I needed another margarita nor how our food was. Had four different wait people so did not know which one to ask for check. Saw two other tables complain too. I guess it was the manager that came by but they did not introduce themselves and all they did was apologize . Worst ever experience at a restaurant. Would give them zero stars if possible or an F for total failure. Corporate really needs to take a look at training, cooking and service overall Parking: Plenty of parking

Server was little teen kid that could barely speak. Ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Not everyone wants a burger. The chicken was a preformed from frozen. I worked for Tyson so I know what this was. The expectation was a hand breaded from fresh. So lazy. Cheese fries were drowning in cheese and no other toppings. We ordered loaded. They use cheddar on everything. So oily.

Burger was over cooked, barely any mushrooms. The bread was bigger than the meat patty.Appetizers forgot to be ordered by waitstaff. I did contact a manager, Wes and his attitude was passive and offered nothing. My first time to dine in Plano. The Richardson location was better quality.

My husband had a worse experience than me. His burger was undercooked and drowned in bbq sauce. He ordered a drink when we got there that they forgot and he had to go ask the bartender for it after our food was delivered. My burger tasted fine it was a bit heavy on the mustard so the bun was soaked. My drink was empty for most of our meal and the only time the waitress checked on us was right when the food was delivered and then to ask if we were ready for the check. We said yes but asked for a refill on my drink... we werent done eating yet. She brought a to-go cup for me and the check. I didnt need a to-go cup and I hate using plastic needlessly. It was trivia night but we didnt know that when we got there. We didnt get to play trivia cause we were late, but it was still fun to overhear. the atmosphere was fun, but the service was terrible. The food was ok though

Went with a large group of friends, the waitress was really nice they took good care of us. I ordered the patty melt, it was so delicious. We had nachos as an appetizer, it was the best nachos I had, very crunchy and good. The place was clean , great atmosphere and excellent service I will definitely be back

I have been going to Snuffers for years and have been to this location once before. This was my second time there. They missed taking the order of someone at our table and had to come back a few times to ask what our orders were. The food was ok, but the burgers were not cooked to their orders.

The sign said to be seated and someone would be with you soon. We finally had to go to the bar and have the bartender inform our waiter to see that we had arrived. Once we got his attention, the service from our waiter was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed the food and the meal. The bacon, cheese, & chive fries were GREAT!
