Very good place, we stayed for 3 days. Very complete breakfast: egg, beans, flour tortillas, cereals, yogurt, juices, waffles. Everything is very complete and they also fill in what is running out. We used the pool, very comfortable to spend the afternoon after shopping. The location is very good, just 5-10 minutes from Plaza Mall. We will definitely return.

Although it is located further away than others, if you bring a car there is no problem (it is north on the same avenue where the central shopping centers are. The breakfast surprised me for good (scrambled egg, beans and waffles. It is self-service. The hotel is divided into several buildings, the pool is in the main one. The double room is spacious (there were 5 of us). The price is very good. Nearby activities: There is McDonalds across the street

The hotel is very clean, the check-in reception was quick, the room was quite spacious, two KS beds were quite comfortable to sleep in, the bathroom was also quite spacious and above all clean. The closet is a good size to store suitcases and has a dresser to store clothes or things if necessary. They went to clean. And check out is also quick and easy. I recommend it for a good rest Rooms: The room we chose/we had was quite spacious, we were a family of 5. The beds were in good condition to rest. Nearby activities: We chose this hotel because it was close to shops and squares, for shopping. Walkability: There is a McDonalds nearby, perfect for eating if you like fast food.

The room was noticeably old, and with little toilet. The good service, only from the reception gives it a good rating. But the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms was very unpleasant. We had a neighbor with the TV at full volume, who slammed the door when closing it and who practiced playing the guitar and singing. The best thing about the hotel is the attention of all the staff. From the moment you arrive they are very friendly and fast, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Came From Houston to have work done in Nuevo Progreso at Texas Dental Clinic. We stayed here and we came in Friday. They had Happy Hour free water and Beer till 9pm that was awesome! Then the breakfast in the morning was delicious, the cooks did a great job. The hotel desk was very accommodating and kind. It was clean and close to everything. This was a great choice will be back again!

Very good place to stay, when visiting McAllen, Tx you actually have everything close by, very tidy and very pleasant in every way. Look no further for a great place to stay, amazing front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff. Everyone has a smile on their face ready to serve you to make sure you have the best stay. The rooms were very clean with comfortable beds and bathrooms stocked with brand name soaps. Breakfast area was always fully stocked and cleaned with amazing options from waffle bar, taco bar, toast bar, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee. Workout room was well kept with great equipment to get you a workout in while visiting. Brittany Rodriguez was a sweet lady that knew her job and was very accommodating our whole stay. Definitely if our family comes back this way we will look no further for our next stay! My family of 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 2 kids stayed for 3 nights for a nearby family event. The room was nice and spacious. The air conditioner stayed cold which we loved. The staff was great and displayed great customer service any time we encountered anyone. The hotel seems to be 3 total buildings and we were put in the extension building. This was only inconvenient when we walked to breakfast and the pool. The continental breakfast was pretty good, standard. Texas waffles that you make yourself are always a hit. The pool was really nice and had a hot tub. I wish all of the positive aspects could have outweighed our stay. The shower water pressure. Was. So. Bad. It put a dark cloud on our entire trip. The pressure was not even enough to take an adequate shower or wash our hair. This was super inconvenient and frustrating because we had 5 people preparing for a formal event. Its also impossible to be able to rinse all of the soap off of your body due to the soft water in the area (I assume). The pressure is the same for the bath tub as well which doesnt really even matter because its only big enough for a small child. My children even mentioned that this was the worst shower ever. We are all very eager to be back home and ready for a real shower. We had family staying at the neighboring Hampton Inn and my husband asked to go take a shower in their room and he couldnt believe the difference. I should have considered the other reviews more heavily when booking our stay.

In the midst of my morning shower, the water unexpectedly ceased flowing. It would have been immensely beneficial if I had received prior notification regarding this predicament. Booked the hotel for a three night stay. The location is good with plenty of dining locations to choose from at walking distance. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. The front desk employee was nice at check in, but I didnt get my little bag of goodies we elite members get. Its OK though, had totally forgotten about it myself. I was traveling with my parents so I booked the two king suite. We loved the room!! The living area was large with a full kitchen, and having two separate bedrooms with their own bathrooms, perfect!! Unfortunately we didnt get to stay at the hotel at all, as just as we were getting comfortable, a fire fighter came knocking on our door asking us to evacuate. Another guests cell phone had exploded and caught his room on fire on the second floor. We waited an hour or two outside the hotel before management asked us to look for another place to stay at, as we couldnt stay there anymore. We were very bummed, but totally understood. Im going to assume breakfast wouldve been your typical LQ menu, which is usually good. Other than that, I would say it would be a good place to stay. But I do want to add, maybe they need to train their front desk peeps on emergency management as she did seem lost on what to do during the situation. However, their cleaning and maintenance staff were great and very helpful when they finally let us in to get our things out of our rooms. The manager was also professional and apologetic throughout the situation. He did give us a full refund for the night.

We usually stay at other hotels when we travel however this time we went on the recommendation of an acquaintance we were traveling with to this area. From the moment we walked in to check in the atmosphere felt very comfortable. The associate working that afternoon, Brittany was super polite, courteous and very friendly. I cant say enough about her. She offered us bottled water as we waited for her to check us in. She offered us cookies from the bar area as well. Later while we were waiting for our friends to come down to go out, we were watching the lobby TV and we mentioned the baseball playoffs and she offered us the remote control and the sheet with the TV channels to search the baseball game. Brittany epitomizes what a good front desk worker should be like. You need more Brittanys working for La Quinta!! Rooms: The rooms were very clean. It seems there have been some remodeling done through out the premises. I did have an issue with our AC. It was either too cold or too hot. I couldnt adjust the setting to be comfortable. Nearby activities: There is so much around the hotel area such as fast food restaurants, bakeries, etc. Food and drinks: Never have I ever seen Mexican breakfast on the menu at any hotel like this La Quinta Inn & Suites!! I could tell everything was made on site. It was superb and very delicious. Of course you still had your regular breakfast such as kolaches and the popular waffle maker. The lady cooking both days we were there was super polite as well. She would make fresh cookies and fresh fruit waters in the mornings for the guests.

Stayed here for military business and enjoyed the hotel fully! Very accommodating and super helpful! The front desk helpers, Brittany and Cierra, assisted me with my room keys as well as help me with a mailing mess up! Rooms were always kept cleaned and housekeeping always greeted us whenever they arrived at our rooms. Breakfast was always warm and prepared by the sweetest ladies ever! Reserved a room for 3 nights last Tuesday. Received a friendly greeting when we checked in. We had a King room, it was very clean and comfortable. There were cookies in the lounge on our first day, very tasty. We missed out the on our second day, got back to the hotel to late. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I ve had. The breakfast lady works hard, and keeps the food area clean. We had to leave unexpectedly after our 2nd night. I explained it to the front desk, and told her I did look up the cancellation policy, but if they did not charge us for the 3rd night, that would be great. And if they charged us, I would be fine with that also, I was not going to argue a last minute cancellation. She said was no problem, and we were not charged. We liked everything about this hotel. This particular LaQuinta Hotel is now our hotel of choice when we re in the area.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The breakfast was filling and had many options for vegans, vegetarians and regular people. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The mini dove soaps were a plus. The pool was perfect. I will be staying here again. Rooms: The rooms were excellent size and clean. I loved that they give mini doves soaps instead of those cheap hotel soaps. Walkability: It has great parking and theres food places near by. Food and drinks: There is a McDonalds and little Cesars right in the area you dont need to even go on a street.

A slightly old hotel... or at least thats how it looks... however the staff is extremely attentive. They provided us with several items such as pool towels and more sheets. The breakfast is perhaps the best of the hotels in the area, congratulations for that.

It has cockroaches and bedbugs, we had to rent 5 rooms, 3 of them with problems of that, and I told the cleaning lady, it seems that they only re-make the bed, instead of changing all the sheets....disgusting.. .

Dirty facilities, old facilities, I had to change rooms because I found cockroaches WALKING on the furniture. The breakfast is poorly served, the staff tries hard (I understand because they do what they can with what they have). They still use rugs everywhere. Family trip, I do not recommend it.

Just ok. The room we were first given had a bed that looked like someone had been laying down in it, it was rumpled with the pillows still showing someones head print there. The other bed was made up so you could see the obvious difference. I went immediately to get another room which I was given without a fuss, but no apologies or anything just ok, heres another room. He was a young kid so I didnt expect much anyway at least he wasnt rude about it. The new room was ok, the rooms are very small and really dont look much like the photos on line. Definitely not the same nice bedspreads used. The ones actually used looked faded but they were clean (I hope). We had everything we needed for the one night stay even had a tiny fridge. I didnt like the towels most of them seemed old and beige not white. A few were ok I used those. But for overnight it was ok. The pool area looked nice and the breakfast in the morning was really good so that made up for a lot.

This was the best La Quinta we have ever stayed at! First of all, the entire staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean. The entire hotel was spotless. The mattress was comfy. The hotel was in the perfect location. And last but not least .the breakfast was PHENOMENAL! The staff member who was in charge of breakfast every morning was so nice, polite, and also very helpful with whatever we requested. We will definitely be staying here again!

Cant give any stars.. their customer service has gone to the dogs ever since Christina left. Everyone except Ms Veronica (lady that works the kitchen area) is so robotic. The toilet would not flush so I called front desk to get a plunger and was told no one available to take it to me however I could come down to get it. After discussing this with the manager he offered to discuss with his staff. I finally asked how I would be compensated he offered to give me $60.00 off the night rate or a free stay. Once I told him there would be no next time he offered to return the money to us. Ironically he had not offered anything until I brought it up.

Our room was at 1st floor. Pros: Room was clean. The staff was friendly. Cons: The soundproofing of the room was terrible, and the sound of people talking in the corridor can be heard clearly. The faucet of the shower was leaking water. Breakfast: muffins, bagels, toast, milk, yogurt, waffle, coffee, hot beans sauce and etc. We had breakfast outside of the hotel because we preferred low carb food.

Was not expecting to spend the night, but I sure am glad we did. The front desk lady honored the app price, and before long we were in our room, which is spacious, and clean. The breakfast bar is great !! I have stayed in quite a few places, and this is by far the best bar I have experienced. Do not hesitate to stop and stay, I highly recommend your stay here, and the price is right too.

The staff here are so sweet and accommodating as we came all the way from Dallas, they let us check in earlier when a room became available the hotel is also dog friend friendly and the rooms are very comfortable! Our favorite place to stay when we visit The Valley!
