We love the size of this park. We used to live near it, but never used it until we decided to sell our home. I would give it a 5 star if more dog owners would pick up their dogs poop (poop bags are provided). This park has a couple of picnic tables and roofed area. My sister and my dog loves to play tug a war & fetch, run until their hearts content, and see all of the people and dogs walking by. My dog enjoys the little dogs on the other side of the fence. She was used to little dogs as our neighbors. So, she actually thinks that is what best friends are supposed to be... on the other side of the fence. There are bathrooms at the kids playground nearby... and a splash pad.

Dont expect much. A dog park which is a fenced-in grass area. A very short walking loop with a few scattered tiny trees. Pretty much everything larger or native is removed or cut.

Very nice little splash pad. The water stops every so minutes but it has a button to turn it back on. Nice little shaded picinic areas. With a grill. A little swing set and park next to splash pad. Bathroom too. My kids enjoyed the little outing.

The children really enjoyed this splash pad. The water is chlorinated, so dont drink from the splash pad. There are restrooms . They do have a covered area with picnic tables and a grill. The adjacent playground is nice and close enough that the children could go back and forth between the splash pad and playground. The have handicap parking. Playground: They have swings and climbing toy so children can practice their ability to balance. Toilets: They have restrooms and they are well maintained and clean. Dog-friendliness: They have a separate fenced area for dogs Picnic area: The picnic area is covered with lighting

Nice park, park isnt for toddlers. They have swing and splash pad. Splash Pad close around 8pm. Most play area have climbing obstacles. Huge area of dog area too. Very calm but not much shaded. Theres a pinic area and tables with bbq(I think). Theres is a public restroom building.

The park is huge and has plenty of room for running around! The city seems to be on top of always have doggie bag available! The grass does have a lot of spurs :( The park could also use a few shaded spots for the dogs to rest when the sun is out!

This is a nice playground, splash pad, walking path, and dog park. It is really close to the Stone Hill shopping area, so if you have kids and/or a dog, it can be a good break after errands. There are shaded play areas (for part of the day) and more fully shaded picnic tables. There is a decent amount of parking that is easily accessible and safe to get to/from with kids. There are also bathrooms on site that are pretty well maintained. In April, the fields in the middle of the walking trail have some good batches of bluebells. The only downside to this park is that the playground is best suited for kids 4/5 and up. There are a lot of climbing obstacles and activities. Otherwise, the fields are usually mowed and it is a good spot to run, kick a soccer ball, fly a kite, or frisbee.

Ive been going to this dog park on and off for about 2-3 years. There is minimal seating space and shade, but its a decent area for its urban surroundings! There is plenty of space for both large and small dogs to run (separated, of course) and clean water provided for both. Again, might not be the best one out there but a nice place to take dogs to for apartment dwellers and home owners in the area.

My pup had surgery 2 months ago and its obvious from his fur not growing back. He was out there yesterday, and an oversized German Shepard attacked him. The owner didnt pull his dog off, nor did he ask if my dog was ok. He wasnt. He had a laceration, and 2 punctures along with an impalement. I was the one pulling HIS dog off. The problem has never been the dog. Its the owner. It was a good place with playful dogs, but the other people are bringing their not so friendly pets to this one now. I wasnt offered any help with vet bills, no phone number exchange, and when I turned around, he was gone. Now Im fixing wounds on a dog suffering seizures and have an additional $500 bill on top if my $18k bill from the seizures.

As far as the playground area, it s a great little park! Perfect for 2-8 year olds. Newer equipment. Good shade. For the dog park - I give it one star. It s just a small field that gets muddy when it rains. And each time I ve been, I ve seen owners bring aggressive dogs, I ve seen people ignore their dogs pooping and not clean it up, and generally the people aren t friendly. If you are looking for a dog park, go up to Bark Park in Georgetown or the dog park in the Domain.

My kids and I enjoy coming to the playground at Stone Hill. My older son enjoys watching the dogs run around in the dog park. There are restrooms at the park but Ive never used them so I cant speak to the cleanliness. Theyve recently added a small splash pad, which we are looking forward to using next summer!

This is a great little park! Besides the fenced areas for dogs, there are picnic tables under a pavilion, bathrooms, drinking fountains, a cool playground with great climbing structures for older kids, and a lot of green space to run. Some friends suggested meeting here and said its rarely busy.

Its a small neighborhood park that connects into a larger trail system. The park has some cool climbing equipment, clean bathrooms, picnic tables and a nice set of swings. Its a bonus that its right near the Stone Hill shopping center.

There is a dog park in here but it doesn t have anything in it. No trees, no benches, no even a rock to sit. Parking is big, the playground in the same park looks like a fun one for the kids, but the dog park was a disappointment, maybe later on they ll have more things for the puppies to do or at least to make it more enjoyable for them.

This small park, tucked in between the Highland Park neighborhood and surrounding apartment communities, is a great addition to the area. The dog park is surprisingly large for the size of the area and the playground is filled with a good variety of fun equipment. The interesting thing about this park, though, is that at different times of day, it takes on a completely different character. In the mornings, youll regularly see runners using the trail network. Throughout the day, young families come to burn off excess energy and socialize with friends. After work, the dog park is a happening place to be, and youll occasionally see families having picnics or looking at wildlife in the nearby creek. By evening, its a wonderful place for a peaceful walk, surrounded by the fields that sandwich this parcel of land. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars is for the lack of shade and seating in and around the dog park or trail areas. Overall, Stone Hill Park is a wonderful place to spend time.
