Mr. Chan represented us for tenant eviction process. He is a rockstar, professional, dedicated, sets right expectations and does everything on or before the deadlines. We are very lucky to find him, once the case was accepted.. the process was very seamless till the writ to possession happened and locks of the house are changed. This person is not to be trusted. I shared every detail of the truth and this attorney followed through with evicting me out of my own home. Even with all the information and not even being notified of a court date, this person used the law against a rightful owner. Essentially, this individual carried forward lies and leverage - the court obliged to the false narrative that this attorney pursued. The court is as guilty as the agent. This is not a person of justice, its a paid agent who will do anything to circumvent the truth. Knowing all the information and facts, this person represented someone who used the justice system against me. There is no recourse or justice for what this man followed through with and it is not accountable.

I had a very difficult squatter in my duplex in south Austin and Richard was incredible. He knows the legal process very well and we quickly made it to trial and the judge immediately ruled in our favor...On top of this, his rates and terms are great! We had a nightmare tenant who also happens to be a serial squatter. We contacted Richard in the middle of a pandemic, when most lawyers did not want to take the case. Richard was extremely professional, explained clearly the process and the chances of us winning the case. More than anything, he understands the kind of damage that these people can inflict and he kept us apprised of how things could progress at each step. he gave us our house back, and during the eviction helped us by arranging the crew for lock changing, cleaning and the actual eviction itself. Were thankful for his help and kindness.

We hired Richard Cahan after a tenant trashed our house and disappeared without paying the last month of rent. Richard was extremely organized. He knew our case inside and out, and helped us get a judgement against the renter which covered all of the damages, legal fees, and missing rent. He always responded to our emails in a timely fashion. He was even able to make it so we did not have to go to court and instead could give our testimony by phone. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for down to earth, competent help with a legal matter.

Richard represented me when an apartment complex was violating the lease and law when retaining my security deposit. He did a great job, and his fees, which were very reasonable, were paid by the apartment complex when they saw that I had a good attorney and I could not be jerked around anymore. Because of him I was able to stand up for my rights as a matter of principle.

Extremely pleased and fortunate to find Mr.Cahan to help me with a property and a challenging tenant. The advice and assistance I got was immediate and timely, the counsel effective, and the cost was understood up front (a concern in matters that can head quickly south). Options were presented and Mr Cahan asked the right questions and had an excellent grasp of the situation and my issues. I was dealing with a Landlord that didnt pay their mortgage.. And a company that bought the house I was living in at an Auction.
