Our salads were mega sized full of fresh salad greens, but I was disappointed bc they had sold out of mud bugs! We sat outside, and with their hugh fans, it was very comfy. Hubby and I had a great date night! We look forward to our next visit, hopefully when crawfish are available.

I hate having to do this. But last week we went ona date. Just my wife and I. Waitress was amazing. So was the food. The busser however notcied i left my wallet and took it upon herself to abscond with over 140 in cash. How do i know this? I realized my error while i was grocery shopping, went straight back over. Thats when someone informed me of the bussers theft. I confronted the manager and i was hot to trot. He refused to take action. Even tho there was two unrelated customers in the store who told me what happned. The next morning i got a phone call because my business cards were found in my wallet that was left next to Saltgrass. Now I own a small business here in Pearland and had 10 business cards plus a wallet sized dba card in that wallet whose name matched my id. At any point i coulda been called and said hey you left your wallet. But no. It was chucked by salt grass.

First time visiting Sams Boat. The low country boil was salty, and the crab legs were overcooked. The crab stuck to the inside of the shell. The pasta with Alfredo sauce was surprisingly very tasty. The service was good.

Sam s Boat is the most unprofessional, unethical, and filled with pathological liars as managers (Jamie and Eric). I was hired by Jamie (general manager) last month and told I would receive a schedule, NEVER DID!!! I was called in after the hurricane to help them run food out. I signed hiring papers with Eric (floor manager) gave them all my personal information and never got a schedule or the decency to let me know that would not move forward or give any status update on my schedule. Skip forward to now, it s time to receive my compensation for the hours I did work there. Suddenly, Jamie can t give me my pay check or the truth about her real intentions. She says to come back later she would have it for me, of course she never had it for me. I make a second trip for nothing to have Eric lie to my face and say I won t receive a pay check today because Jamie has to write it out to me. Nonetheless, I GOT MY CHECK!!! Please save yourself the application, these two manager s think people are not entitled to their rights and think it s cool running a free labor camp. Waste of time!

Came here on a Friday. Myself, friend, and two kids. This is the end of the week of Beryl, so things are crazy and I realize that. But if they were not equipped to be open they should not have been. SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE. Again I can understand things can go wrong and some things are uncontrollable, but EVERY SINGLE TABLE outside where we were had delayed food, did not receive what they ordered, and the server guy bringing the food out REPEATEDLY brought orders to the wrong tables. He pretty much was just walking up to every table asking did you order this. It took 20minutes for the kids to get coke and Dr pepper. When they brought one mixed drink out (30min later) they didnt bring the other. And the response was, oh we dont have bitter to make that. Would you like it with all the other stuff that goes in it? Then brings out a glass of what looked like brown liquor and water and thats pretty much what it was. The appetizers came out at the same time with the main dishes. The 2lbs of snow crab wasnt hot, had to send 1lb back. While that one got reheated I started on the one that was semi warm, the crab meat was sticking to the insides of the shells. Overcooked. Ordered a shrimp basket that never came out. Asked server for 2 go boxes. 30minutes later after she passed us twice, asking if we were okay, we asked the manager to bring them out and remove shrimp basket and bring ticket. He does, takes the card, server brings the card back suddenly very attentive and explanative. I do not condone poor service, idc how bad the outlook is about people not tipping. Im paying for service. My friend on the other hand sympathized as having previously worked in that industry and tipped. EVEN THOUGH, the same way the server communicated in the end what issues were happening and became attentive, she couldve done at the beginning and throughout. First time at this place, had never heard of it. TERRIBLE experience. Will not go back or recommend. 1. Gruesome service 2. 30 minute wait on cold food 3. 20 minute wait for COKE and DR. Greeted with hostility while with my family. Left when I saw that it was the manager acting in this way. Edit: no the manager is lying in her reply. I had forgotten a Gatorade was in my hand as I walked in the door. it was 100° day and I was with my seven and 9-year-old. I was clearly not trying to sneak alcohol into the building and I did not become upset. I said can I put it in my wifes purse. I left when you all started making a big deal about it and went and got the manager and asked me what the problem was when my Gatorade was already put away and one of the hostesses was already trying to seat me. The other hostess that went to get said manager was upset because I had said if you want to make a big deal about it I will leave, which I did :) The next restaurant I went into was happy to have my business and didnt tell my wife she had to go back out to the car with a Gatorade that was already put away and in her purse :) I dont know why you would tell me to walk out your door and think Im going to come back in. The service from drinks to orders to food. It was so bad we were so disappointed & the waitress brought me a glass of water with hair in it & brought me the wrong drink. The fish was flavorless & cold so were the red potatoes. To the Point - I would give the place 3.5 stars due to the atmosphere and service. The food was good but was only warm, and our plates were sitting under the heat lamp for some time. Our waitress named Ximena was super sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is a little darker than normal; however, it still reminds me of the inside of Joes Crab Shack (I believe this was one beforehand). It is family oriented, and there is a playground for the kids. Outside bar for convenience and always sweet bartenders. Average about 15-20$ plate for an adult; unfortunately, unaware of kids menu prices. Awesome patio, and multiple places to sit, so I would recommend it if you are looking for a place outside. Detailed Post - I have been to the Pearland location twice before and can remember that the food was good and service once was a little wonky. To get the full experience, I recommend the Seabrook location before the Pearland. We did go on Fathers Day; however, it was not busy. Unfortunately, our food was warm and not hot this time other than the steak and one appetizer. For appetizers, we ordered the cornbread (it comes with a jalapeño butter, and I highly recommend if that is your type of thing - not spicy just zesty) and the stuffed jalapeños (they have a mild spice) which both were great and hot. Parents ordered a shrimp po-boy served with fries, gumbo (rue was a little burnt), and blacked samon with red beans and corn on the cob. Parents stated the blackened samon was good and the po-boy was great. Spouse ordered the steak with mash, and it was fantastic (I tasted and steak is recommended and had an awesome flovor). I ordered the boneless wings (appetizer), and these never let me down. I get them extra crispy, and they have tons of flavors to choose from. I got garlic parmesan and buffalo. I also got a pound of crawfish, which comes with a corn and potato. I did add mushrooms which were added into the boil (I was not crazy about the crawfish, so I am going to say they were okay- again I love crawfish and have multiple other places this year so I would not recommend crawfish from here). As mentioned previously, a parent and I both got corn on cob, and it was spoiled. I did inform the lead, and she immediately asked for us to get another side (we were done eating, but the offer was sweet), then headed straight kitchen to investigate, which was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive and ensured we had refills and checked on our table four times, which is perfect for us. For food and drinks, we spent 130$ total (no alcohol). It did pick up mid-meal around 12:30, and a lot of families, including doggos (outside only), were enjoying their meals. Kid-friendliness: Has a play-place for the kiddos

Had the worse service ever! Jonai is an absolute dummy. Who let her work behind a bar or in customer service period. She is rude and has a lot of mouth. Got my entire order wrong and did not try and fix it. Told me I could leave if I didn t like what she had to say. Walked straight out of there she lucky I was in a good mood or the conversation would ve went an entire different way. Many of my friends have had this same problem with her. She needs a new line of work because this isn t it. She is bringing the establishment down.

Took my twin grand daughters to lunch today, greeter was friendly sat us in a booth next to the window, the window was full of flies, asked server to move us and she did . Ordered appetizers crab cakes that were pretty good and wings that were just ok. Waitress took our food order and offered to refill drinks, food took a long time to come and refills took even longer, I ordered the snapper ponchatrain, not good , fish with about 4 small shrimp, no mushrooms and sprinkle of crab meat, I didnt like the taste so I requested something simple , fried fish & shrimp . Well a large party came in and we never saw our server again. The girls finished their entire meals and mine never came, happened to look over to see it sitting on the server table, had to ask another waitress to either bring it or cancel it. It was cold and shrimp were burned and over cooked. At this point I was done. Asked the other waitress to bring to go boxes and my ticket. Only to get it with the canceled food still on it. She removed it I paid and left.Never seen my waitress again. DISAPPOINTED

First, let me start by saying that our waiter was very sweet. Her name was Briana and she was very kind and patient. Other than that, everything else did not go well. They took more than half an hour to bring our drinks. I ordered the low country boil(lemon pepper spicy) & it was SUPER SALTY!!! When i took the first bite, my whole mouth hurt from how bitter and salty was. Trust me, im hispanic and we love to season our food, but that was just over the top! My husband had the snow crab (spicy) and said it was salty as well but tolerable. My daughter had the nuggets and my son had the shrimp basket, these two were decent. Aside from that, they have a playground, it is nice but it smelled like urine. The atmosphere itself is nice but over all i would not recommend. If you want some good seafood, go to juicy crab!!! 10/10

Ordered oysters Luis, snapper pontchartrain no taste at all. Receive mac and cheese noodle were cold. it tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The fish were dry the sauce was good. The oysters Luis taste like something they were trying out it had no flavor and it looked like they just tossed jalapeño on the plate. Definitely wont be coming back.

We eat here often, but we finally hit an off visit. Very Disappointed, food was decent, but nowhere near as delicious as we have had. The food needed more flavor. Shrimp needed more blackened seasoning, cilantro cream sauce more of it and more flavor. Spanish Rice was really dry, no flavor. Extra taco cost much more than it used to. Needed a couple more shrimp in the tacos. Bloody Mary was advertised $6 for Happy Hour was charged $7 - wastold it was a different happy hour?? Ok.... it was advertised as a loaded Bloody Mary, and it was nothing but a tajin rimmed glass with vodka and very light Bloody Mary Mix. Definitely disappointed in the drink more than anything.

Went for the boiled seafood. I had crabs and shrimp and my bff had Crawfish. We got the spicy because the waitress said it was that spicy. It was indeed spicy , at least to us. In our first bites our noses and eyes were watering. We made it through, but when we ordered a second round of shrimp we opted for little spice... Drinks were just ok, it was the special so I didnt expect much, but the tequila definitely was happy hour tequila.... Overall we enjoyed it

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE. Please fire the terrible skinny bartender with tattoos. I came in for a refreshing non alcoholic beverage & some food. Lady was all over the place, not friendly nor engaging enough. I expressed I wanted to order food & the kitchen had an hour before closing. I put in the order for a simple quesadilla & lady gives me nothing but excuses about why its not cooked. I stayed 5 minutes until closing. The food was never brought to me, there were no attempts to remake the food; she acts stupid & still tried to charge me for it. Lady I only had a Heineken 0, you couldnt make me a simple mocktail from 2 juices & youre rude. There were only 4 people in the whole restaurant. This was piss poor service. We used to love coming here.. But after today, never again. After we waited for our table which was understandable we sat down and ordered drinks and apps... The nonalcoholic drinks came then the appetizers.. 15 min later my husbands drinks came and I was told the frozen were runny. We ordered food and waited but only 1 out of 3 entrées came.. 30 min later was told that our crab boils would be out soon. 10 min later was told they were out of the boil that was ordered. All this was fine after I saw inside the kitchen which was filthy, prep was happening on top of a trash can and there was a tub of corn on the floor. No thank you

Two times I have walked in and sat down only to leave because nobody would come to our table to serve us. There were plenty of servers walking around, including one in our section who saw us as we walked in and continued to walk past our table while avoiding eye contact. Disappointed to say the least.

Went last night (3/15) for my wife s birthday dinner. Wasn t very crowded, especially for a Friday night. Chose to sit outside. Sat for over 45 minutes without even being asked what we wanted to drink. Whole time there was a group of waiters/waitresses just chatting at the bar.

I cant speak to the dine-in experience, but as far as take-out to go ordering at the Pearland location... Avoid at all costs! This place obviously aint set up for that. After some uncertainty about ordering to go, the greeter finally pointed us over to the bar, which was too busy to be worried about to-go orders (That shoulda been our cue to leave right then). When the bartender had a quick minute in between drinks she took our order. We waited for FIFTY minutes at that bar unattended, ignored and not checked on, till I finally said to the lady... I think the cook forgot about us. she finally went to check on it and and lo and behold she comes out with our meal. But this aint why Im leaving this bad review. The reason is since we were in a rush for waiting so long, we didnt look in the bag till we got home. The order wasnt what we ordered. So wifey called to complain, got put on hold. Heard one of the waitresses talking in the background about doubting our story. So wifey says look, what are we gonna do about this. Is there a manager? The waitress on the phone was cool and patient as she went for the manager. After much waiting, she came back and said for us to hold a little longer because the manager was busy, which we understood for a Saturday night. But after even more waiting, she came back and said ,the Manager says he cant speak with you because hes too busy with other customers.... Well Okay, that said. We realized, Eric, the manager valued the dine in guests more than the take-out guests whove already paid their money AND tipped in advance of unforseen bad service. Wish I could get that tip back! Anyway, its a shame because we were excited about finding a Sams Boat in Houston after eating at and absolutely loving the one in Louisiana. However, we wont be eating at any of the locations anymore after this. Too many other choices out there. So this is my first bad review that I felt compelled to share, although this wasnt my first restaurant bad experience. I dont like to leave bad reviews, I just dont return to bad restaurants. But as the youngsters say: This one hit a little different!

Id give zero stars if possible. Were regulars at Sams Boat, but the service is consistently awful. Today, we encountered the manager, who was the rudest and most unprofessional person Ive ever encountered. We were seated at 6:45 and waited for a server. Once the server arrived, we asked for the happy hour drinks special that ended at 7, but she claimed it was too late. The manager became loud and irate, insisting there was nothing he could do, and suggested we should arrive at 6:30 next time. Absolutely dreadful.

I really feel terrible about saying this, because this is my actual 1st bad food review. Horrible, service we had a party of (5) three adults & two kids. We waited an hour and 3 minutes [63 min.] Before our food was served. We chose to sit in the patio area that way my niece and nephew could play on the playground. But get this it was 43min. Until we even waters for us and the kids. Kid-friendliness: They have outdoor playground for the children. Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp.

Had a great experience with my girlfriend today, our waitress Ximena was excellent. We ordered beignets and she brought us this nicely decorated plate. The hearts were a lovely touch that my girlfriend absolutely loved, especially because February is the month of love. It definitely brought a smile to our faces! Other than that, Ximena had great customer service, and was quick with everything. We WILL be returning!

My boys and I have been coming here for a while now. We usually come in after golf or just to hang out after work. We have seen bartenders come and go. Some move up and some move on. We have never had a bartender pour a drink better than Joann. There is no wasted space in that glass. Beer all the way to the rim every single time. She is super attentive and proactive.
