Ive been going here for a very, very long time, and its one of my favorite spots in Pearland. The staff are really friendly. They have good book recommendations set out throughout the whole library, and a pretty big graphic novel section (though, Id love to see even more graphic novels if possible. :D ) Something else that would be nice is more crafty/creative or gaming groups for adults. Theres definitely a lot happening for kids, something more whimsical for adults sounds fun too. Its a really nice, chill library.

It s a nice library. Spacious and well organized. Biggest downfall is the noise. Even if quiet areas , you will always hear children crying. Fine if you can study with headphones, otherwise I would not study here.

This is a great library! I appreciate that it is a quiet place to read. The staff is quick to process book requests and get them out to the hold shelves. They also have lots of activities to participate in!

Really awesome place. Lots of very helpful people. Well organized with lots of books and other items. While I was here I overheard a lady asking for a phonetics book. It seems theyre very popular. Even though they had put out some in the morning they were all checked out but they volunteered to get her one brought in. Really impressed with the activities they have as well. Currently theyre working with extension office to hatch chicks 5/28/24 update. Took eggs and incubator up and set up. June 19 at 2 pm the extension office will put on a chicken presentation for all the children. Baby chicks will be present.

Its nice to study in. They have a lot of desks and rooms too. Its not the quietest but I use headphones when I study so it does not bother me. The only thing is if youre there 30 minutes before they close they approach you kindly rudely to remind you. The librarians tend to be the ones that talk loudly in the library, but like I said if you study with headphones you should be ok.

A well maintained and quaint location. I always have this hometown feeling when I visit. A quiet place to read and work. I appreciate being able to occasionally meet my clients for brief meetings. I have what I need there. The staff are helpful, courteous, and pleasant to talk to. I would highly recommend it for families and businesses alike. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

Are Pearland Library is fantastic the staff is wonderful the books are amazing. Also if you dont know the library of things is a fantastic place to look and get karaoke machines, bubble machines, jump jumps and other super awesomestuff!

My kids and I love to read so we constantly come here for books. It is amazing and has great librarians. My children come home with almost 20 books each time they visit the library. My 12 year old daughter has called many times to place a book on hold and they have been patient and helpful. Everything in this library is wonderful for adults and kids.

Had to come to this library because westside was closed as they were building their new library. I emailed them to let them know I couldn t return my books because I was busy finishing up the semester if they could give an extension and I d return them when that week was over. They said they d give another week and I returned all of the books as I said I would. Even though I returned the books I got texts saying they were overdue but I returned them. I checked my account and despite me returning them they sent it to collection agency. Kind of ridiculous considering they have their books back and now I have debt from trying to use the public library. Heaven forbid I couldn t drive 20 minutes to the other side of pearland when I was trying to finish the semester. Mind you they have their books back and I have debt for something that was returned :) this is why ppl don t use the library anymore.

I have been a long time visitor to the library at this location. I like their selection of books and the location is very convenient. However the service that I received today from the supervisor on duty, Kaitlyn, was unacceptable. When I was trying to offer feedback on one of their policies instead of me being able to simply offer my feedback, she cut me off at every turn--apparently more interested in proving that she was right about the fines that they gave my daughter than my feedback as a patron. Mind you I wasnt disputing the fine or asking for an adjustment. Just trying to provide some honest feedback to a place that I frequent at least twice a month if not more often. So instead I just ended the conversation by informing her that we didnt have to keep going back and forth as all I was trying to do was provide some feedback that she clearly was not interested in hearing. In the same interaction there was an issue on the same account with the amount overdue not being correct secondary to previous payments not posting. She reviewed the account and was insistent that no payment had been made and asked when it was made and I told her I wasnt sure but that I know it was a $40 payment that my husband made. She couldnt find it so asked for a receipt from the 3rd party that we paid for my daughter. Now Im not sure why she asked that because this same 3rd party doesnt accept online payments (only checks) AND doesnt provide you with a receipt once you have mailed payment. You essentially have your bank account as proof of payment. Shouldnt a supervisor know that? You would think so since she was asking for proof but clearly not. So about 20 minutes later when I finally get the screenshot of the bank account from my husband and she looks at it she STILL insists that she doesnt know why its not posted and that its not on the account and THEN blames the 3rd party. Even though I provided the very proof that she asked for to update my daughters account!? It was not until I demanded firmly for her to update the account and advised her that I had provided the very proof that she had just asked for to update the account that she finally backed down and updated the account. To be clear I interacted with several staff in my library experience today and those ladies gave the utmost respect and service. I do not in any way want my comments to reflect on their service. The issue at hand was totally my experience with the supervisor Kaitlyn and not the other staff who were wonderful as always.

They have 6 room to reserve. Room reserves work only for 3 hours, if you need a room more than 3 hours even all six rooms are not occupied, they do not let you to continue to use those rooms. Library personal walked with the keys in the library to lock the doors of those rooms. In pearland west library, they have only one room and if it is not booked by someone else you can use that room. Also, for three hours book, why we cannot have any drinks and food. for food, I may understand people may get messy, but what about small snacks, they are even not letting the consumption of little snacks. Staff look like guardians in the library. Still, the place is neat, quite, and at list 3 hours I can do my private work.

Friendly staff, clean and good location. Lots of childrens book. They also have a toddler, preschool time, which is awesome, with charming children librarian...I wish they would extend the time a bit longer. 17 min is kinda short...I think other moms or parent can relate to me that they have to prepare their kiddos and drive through the location and stayed for 17 min. and done..

Every time I bring my children, who are well behaved, some employee feels the need to chastise them. They are never allowed out of my sight and I dont allow them to act unruly in public places. It got to the point that I stopped taking them and today as we walked in they got excited and started to run ahead of me. They made it about ten feet ahead when someone from behind hollered at them no running. If they are acting out of hand, by all means approach the parent. I was directly behind them and was more than capable of reminding them we dont run. I dont need strangers to discipline them. I wont return to this branch for this reason which I know will be disappointing for my children who love books and the library but I would rather drive the extra miles to a different branch than be harassed or hassled every time I enter.

Very very nice place to study. But i didnt give it five stars because its extremely cold in there. During summer its too much AC, during winter it feels like there is no heat at all. other than its a beautiful place with extremely nice staff.

I love this library and have been using it as my library for as long as I can remember, but recently they renovated and the library lost its cozy feel. It now feels more like a hospital with plain white walls and white shelves, when before it has bricks and cute rugs and bean bags and the walls were cozy and homey. I really do miss those days. If anyone from the library is reading this please make it feel more cozy! No one likes a crispy hospital as a library!

Oveall the library is nice but....... The childrens librarian Ms. Jamie is no longer the childrens librarian. She is awesome with kids, a joy to be around and its obvious the kids love her. No offense to Ms. Jenna, shes nice and good with kids from what Ive seen but Ive decided that we are done with this library. Ill drive the extra 7 miles and go to the Westside location.
