A gem in the suburbs of Pearland nishiki was a great experience, definitely recommend their special rolls, which are made meticulously. We had the sous chef send out a complimentary dish themselves, and the waiter was very accommodating with recommendations. Worth the visit!

We went to try a new sushi restaurant that just opened in Pearland. Decor was very nice and modern! Service was great! We ordered our usual nigiri- salmon, sweet shrimp, Hokkaido scallop. They were great! All were very fresh! We also tried umami roll and Poseidon roll. They were delicious. Everything was so fresh! We met the owner and was told that fish were flown from Japan, Korea and other European countries three times a week. There were many items not on the menu but available for special of the day such as Marukawa uni. So make sure you ask the waiter about it. It is easily a good date night spot. You should give it a try!

The service is wonderful. Our server took time to explain the menu and make suggestions. The food was amazing. The nigiri portions were a little small, but the salmon toro was so soft and buttery it melted in my mouth. I highly recommend it. Its an off menu item so be sure to ask for it. The unagi don was the best one we have tasted in any restaurant. The salmon king roll was the best. I also recommend the umami roll. Overall the food is amazing and worth the cost. The room we were in was cozy and intimate; however a little loud. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is fantastic!!! Do hesitate - come here. Nice to have such a quality location in Pearland. People from Houston and other burbs should be making the trip here. We had a dancing roll (great), Japanese chicken fried rice (good), akami cold plate (amazing) and a diced sea bass bite (yum). The akami was particularly amazing - fresh tuna on a bed of avocado with Parmesan flake and truffle on top, with a chip to add some texture (I should have taken a picture as the display was beautiful). Service was great too (thanks Bryce and Eric). Nice atmosphere. Don t think twice, enjoy.

The sushi here is hands down amazing. Service though is TERRIBLE. I walked in with my daughter got sat immediately however we waited about 7-9 minutes before we were acknowledged. Servers walked passed our table many times and we felt like I was invisible. The restaurant had about 5 tables filled !!! And a total of 5 people at the bar. We were going to walk out when FINALLY we were greeted. Ok fine, I stayed only to have the worst service again provided. My sushi rolls came out with a mumble for an explanation. Omg!! And of course I do not know my sever s name. Again the food is so good but sadly I won t be returning.We had been coming weekly. I will drive out to Sugarland once again to my favorite sushi restaurant-KEEPERS.

It s our first time here for lunch and it was great. I love their food presentation. We tried all that Lily suggested us and everything was good. Even Eric the manager offer us free to try Madai nigiri and it is amazing. Surely we will come back. I recommend everything that we ordered; crispy rice cake, ishiyaki angus prime, super tiger eye, umami and for the desert fried ice cream and mango cheesecake. Two thumbs up Nishiki!

Not only was the service amazing, but the waitress had suggestions with descriptions of her experience with menu items. All food was excellently prepared and came out very quickly. This was on a Saturday lunch time. The manager was checking on all guests and gave us all a sample of an off-menu item that was exceptional. This place is fantastic.

Me and my family loved sushi so we tried for the first time to have our dinner to this restaurant! My family love Japanese authentic food . Then this is one of the best here in Pearland . We ordered Japanese fried rice, and Angus prime so good!. Their sushi like super Tiger eye , the crunchy sushi are the best ! Tamago and chirashi , prefect ! Not to mention all desserts so authentic ( green tea , vanilla and fried icecream really wow!! Prices enough for that kind of food! We went here for the first time today for lunch, and it was great! Definitely a more upscale sushi restaurant for the pearland area. We tried various sushi items, the grilled edamame (SO good), and the crispy rice cakes (this was my favorite). I saw some mixed reviews about the rice cakes so i wasnt sure, but they were amazing! The sauce really elevated the flavor. We also had an off menu uni sushi, which was pricey, but really good. The madai nigiri was probably my favorite, and the umami roll was delicious. Lily was our waitress and she was amazing! We had our 14 month old with us and the servers played peek-a-boo with her and gave her a lot of attention. They were very accommodating, and we were able to order a side of rice for her even though it wasnt on the menu. This is a great date spot for the pearland area 10/10 recommend.

Some really good tasting sushi, no complaints on that end. Portions are decent, snow crab roll could use some more sturdyness- falls apart at a single touch. The menu is a but unsightly, but being a recently opened restraurant, its underatandable. Menu could utilize images and more asthetically matching designs as to not be so bland. Amazing food and ambiance right here in Pearland! Thankful I don t have to drive into Houston anymore for high quality Japanese cuisine. All fresh and real seafood!! No imitation nonsense. Nishiki exceeded my expectations for a restaurant in Pearland! The establishment, the ambiance, aesthetic, the vibe, and service were all very pleasant. Its as if this restaurant moved from the Galleria or Midtown area and decided to drop in Pearland. Perfect spot for a happy hour, a date night, or girls night. My sister, niece, and I collectively ordered pan fried gyoza, kunsei (smoked salmon nigiri) truffle Suzuki, Kawaii, Umami, King salmon, and Crunchy rolls and each one of them were delectable. We unfortunately didnt order from the bar but it was beautifully stocked. I believe our server was named Bryce or Brandon - very hospitable and attentive. Ill definitely be back, very soon!

Absolutely blown away by the grade of sushi and overall quality of the food! We travel frequently and just recently came back from New York - this place definitely stood toe to toe with the BEST sushi spots we have found! We ordered the holiday roll, wagyu roll, shrimp tempura roll, crunchy roll, off menu seared toro, chicken fried rice and the manager even offered to let us sample the sea urchin AMAZING!!! Second time here - highly recommend stopping by and trying their rolls. The Hama Yuzu is out of this world delicious. I would come here just for that one roll. This time also tried the seafood miso soup - delicious and super filling. Lots of pieces of lobster yumm. The rice cake app and the dessert were both misses for me. I wouldn t order them again. Also the shishito peppers are cool but wouldn t go out of my way to get them. Some feedback: both times no one ever filled our water. Also, it would be a nice touch (if trying to compete with other upscale sushi places) to explain the dishes as you are handing them. Otherwise servers are super professional and courteous.

I had never heard a waiter greeted customers by saying oh I am so tired now at 1pm when the restaurant only opened 2 hours ago!!! We spent $60 each person for: Edamame 5 kinds of sashimi Toban yaki Yaki soba And I still have plenty of room for more food. Why? Because the portion of each dish was only about 40% compared to what served in other Japanese restaurants but with much higher price. The taste of each dish was just ok but the waiter asked us how we liked the food each time when he passed by. Conclusion: this is an overpriced place with mediocre service and ok food. Oh! Forgot to mentioned, I had never seen a waiter dropped/threw a hot plate on the table with all the juice splashed on the chair/table. What if that hot plate dropped on a customer? Also, all the prices on the menu today were $5 to $10 more from the pictures posted on Google. They only opened 3 months ago!!! Good luck with your meal there!!

New spot in the neighborhood that everyone seems to love, so I had to stop by. It wasnt crowded for a Friday night. The place is well decorated and stylish without feeling stuffy. The staff was great and one gentleman was very helpful with drink selections (good Japanese wiskey selection) and offered dessert, in which we declined as I overate I dont think anything I had was bad but I definitely preferred the truffle fried rice and super tiger roll. Bryce is the best server! We visited for the first time this evening and will absolutely return soon. The Kawaii roll was a well balanced and delicious. Ricke cake appetizer started great and the signature rolls came out quickly despite being a busy Friday dinner service. But the signature rolls were all over sauced where I cant really taste the listed ingredients. Nishiki roll states truffle and I saw little black flakes but did not taste nor look like actual truffle. The wagyu roll had very rare beef which I didnt mind as long as its handled properly but failed to bring out the beef flavor with a sour sauce overwhelming it. Then there was the shrimp tempura roll which was not signature so I hoped it would be simple but it was unrecognizable with a sweet sauce overwhelming it. Individual pieces ordered seemed better and perhaps handled by a different chef. Theres more to say but I will leave it with avoid the rolls, enjoy fresh sashimi or sushi pcs.

Overall: I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the pearland area! I went there to celebrate my 20th birthday with my parents. Staff: All the staff was very kind, especially our server Angel! He always kept our water filled, offered to box our leftover food, made nice conversation, and even recommended wonderful food choices! My dad isn t a big fan of seafood so he LOVED the hot chicken roll that Angel recommended. Food: WONDERFUL FOOD for a pretty good price (only around $100 for 3 people). I recommend starting your meal with a bowl of their miso soup. My favorites were the soft shelled crab roll & wagyu makimono! Their edamame was also really good since add seasonings other than just salt. I also recommend the bowl of rice with eel to all my eel lovers. Special Note: The chef really cares about his customers experiencing new foods and exploring their palate. After we were seated, the chef offered everyone a sample of Uni (sea urchin) that was recently imported from Japan. It was a refined fishy taste that I actually found really delectable. If the chef hadn t offered it to us, I probably wouldn t have tasted it in my lifetime.

Great news Japanese restaurant in Pearland. The sushi and shashini was so fresh and great. They give out thick prices of shashini. The service was very good and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It makes us feel like we were in midtown of Houston while we were eating here With saying that the only downside is the prices were like if we were in midtown of Houston a little on the high side but very good quality. Phenomenal service, high quality cuts of fish, incredible rolls. Not the biggest fan of the rice cakes but other than that, everything exceeded our expectations. The grilled edamame was top tier, truffle roll was bomb, and the fish was even better! Best salmon I ve ever had. Fatty tuna melted what an experience. Chopped scallops super fresh and flavorful. Nishiki is a fresh addition on the south side of Pearland focusing on refined sushi options. I can confidently say the level of sushi here is on par with established eateries deeper into Houston and surprising to find out in the suburbs. The interior is tastefully done as well with darker wood tones that set a warm and comfortable environment. Service was phenomenal as well as each person we interacted with was knowledgeable and happy to share recommendations based on your preferences or just in general. Parking: Strip mall location that was not packed when visited.

Highly recommend. The food is great and the vibe is . I was sitting at the bar and the sushi chef noticed that I ordered a vegetarian roll and offered me some other vegetarian recommendations. Anyways, the point is not that this is a veg friendly place (it is), but that the staff from the cooks to the wait staff are great and it shows in their food. Would also add that it s a good dinner place for a date or solo dining. Vegetarian options: Just ask for veg options. They ll make it.

We visited Nishiki Japanese Restaurant for the first time tonight. Cool vibes/decor, great service, and fresh/quality ingredients. We ordered the Toban Yaki (mushrooms and okra in soy sauce and coconut milk) with Seared Scallops, Akami (tuna/crab with guacamole on Taro Chip), Sashimi Chef Selection, and Hama Yuzu Makimono (crab, tuna, avocado, and serrano). We also ordered a carafe of Dessai 45 Sake. As others have noted, this may not be an every weekend restaurant for us, but we will definitely be back for special date nights. Excited to have a restaurant like this in Pearland!

The Super Tiger Eye roll is amazing, and the rest of the food was really good too. Everyone was really nice, although there were a few moments the service was a little awkward, its clear theyre still working out the kinks. I can definitely recommend it, and I think its only going to keep getting better as they figure everything out.

So happy to have high quality sushi closer to home! This is on par with the best sushi places in Houston! We had the truffle suzuki roll and WOW the flavors were the perfect combination. This is not your typical strip mall sushi joint. Nishiki has an upscale vibe typical of what you would find at a nice Houston restaurant and not in a suburb. This brand-new restaurant does not yet have its own site and thus no way we could check the menu in advance. So imagine our surprise when we walked in at 8PM on a Thursday and the place was packed. I tuned to my wife and said this is going to be great. It was easy to see why--a convivial hum in a vibrant atmosphere, superb decor and furnishings, great playlist in a perfect audio environment--all ambience boxes checked. A brief conversation with our server prompted him to summon Chef Addison to our table. I asked him why they offer a sashimi assortment but not a nigiri one. He immediately said hell make one. I told him I was hungry and adventuresome so please prepare his favorites. Everything was fab, especially the qualiy and freshness of the spicy tuna roll. But the pièce de résistance was unquestionably the baked sea bass dish. My wife and I are thrilled that we no longer have to drive all the way to town to get a decent assortment.

Nishiki is a surprisingly amazing place in Pearland!! It could easily be found in downtown Houston. The staff were extremely polite, the ambience was great, and the food was phenomenal! We got a Kawaii roll, Wagyu roll, gyoza, shishito peppers, and assorted nigiri and loved it all! The lychee martini was also amazing! We will definitely be returning :)

We decided to try the newly opened Nishiki and must admit weve been twice in 3 days now. Over the course of the two meals we tried a few different appetizers and about 7 different rolls. Food is 5star. Was just in Japan two months ago, food was just as good. Flavors and variety were top notch. Gyoza, shrimp, tacos to start. Very delicious and fresh. Hot stone prime beef, wagyu roll, shrimp tempura roll, grilled chicken, don nabe rice bowl. All very delicious, grilled chicken had a unique sauce that was amazing. Good cold sake selection. Only thing that was par, were the desserts. Fried ice scream was not very flavorful. Mango cheese cake has a good flavor to it, just wish the portion was just a little bigger.

I understand this is a newer place, that is why I m giving 3 stars instead of 2. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. Nice lighting, seating, great atmosphere. The wait staff uniforms are unique and very nice too. I ordered a non alcoholic margarita, and it was presented nicely and overall pretty good. The service was less than what you want when you re eating out. The wait staff was all very nice, just action-less. The owner was present but struggled to manage his staff. We ordered drinks and apps, the waitress brought the two apps separately, each time she asked if we needed anything else yes, our drinks We ordered fried gyoza they were cold both times. The waitress was very nice and did take the first order back after she asked how they were and I said, they are cold. Unfortunately, the second order wasn t any warmer. Basically, the gyoza were frozen and never warmed all the way through. Next, we ordered three sushi rolls at the same time. The waitress was helpful on recommendations. The first two came by various waitstaff members (perfectly fine) each time they asked if we needed anything else, I kept mentioning the third roll we were waiting on. Three times in a 10 minute period we were asked and the third roll never came. The fourth time the owner swooped around (he had been present all night which is great to see) and asked how we were doing. I mentioned the roll we were missing and it was still another 5 minutes before A roll showed up. But the waiter presented it as something we had not ordered so another few minutes until they figured all of that out. The menu for the signature rolls all had very unique ingredients than your typical sushi restaurant. Very exciting to see. However, the actual taste of the rolls were not unique. The fish did not have a notable fresh flavor. Everything was pretty bland. I thought the kawaii roll was one of the better rolls we ordered. Overall, I kind of left stressed out from managing our orders (drinks and rolls missing). Hopefully, they can work out the quirks with the staff and the flavor profile of their signature rolls represents what they are presenting on the menu.

Me and my wife were waiting for this place to be opened, and I took her in here for lunch. The food was amazing but the service is slow. We ordered a sake and Hendrick with tonic but I don t think our waiter understands the order, so we have to double check with other waitresses if our waiter put in the order or not, but she told us she will be checking with our waiter. After our food is out the drink still hasn t arrived yet, so we just forget about it,because the food was delicious !The drink is not on our check so I assume our waiter forgot about the drink. All the servers look young so I don t expect them to know a lot of alcohol but I wish they could be more well trained,or hire a bartender. Definitely come back for the food !
