This was my first introduction to Filipino food. It wasnt quite what I expected. I honestly wouldnt go back. I only truly enjoyed a couple of items on the buffet line. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the curry was good over the rice. Im not the pickiest eater, but I didnt really feel like I had the best selection to choose from. The staff is super friendly and the singers were ok. If youre a native you might just like it. Otherwise, I wouldnt recommend it.

I had not had many Filipino dishes before, just pancit and adobo. But the variety, the taste and quality was amazing. My favorite is the dinuguan, OMG, that thing has such an amazing flavor, slightly spicy, tangy, tender meat, so delicious. The pig feet dishes were so tender and flavourful. I didnt find many vegetable dishes but there were veggies in several of the dishes, the eggplant was so tender and tasty. If you havent tried Filipino food, go try it, the nice thing is that there is such a variety so you get to sample the food culture of the Philippines. Based on the corners and their happy faces, Id say it must be very authentic.

This was our first visit to TJ Filipino cuisine. I am familiar with Filipino cuisine and just discovered this wonderful restaurant tucked away in Pearland. There are lots of dishes to choose from, many flavors and many different textures, my favorite was the Humbra but there is so much to love. There is even a section of desserts. Again many flavors and many different textures, some I wasn t used to but still enjoyed the experience. For those not quite so adventurous there is still fruit to have and then there are some of your standard Filipino cuisines like panzit and lumpia and chicken adobo. TJ s also has a counter with pastries and some candies and they even serve breakfast. One of the persons waiting on us, her name was Jelly and she was very helpful, kept all the many used plates off of our table and kept our drinks filled. She was extremely personable and fun to talk to. I really look forward to coming back and enjoying this delightful restaurant.

I had just gotten back from seeing Manila for the first time, and just walking in to TJ Filipino it smelled like all the best restaurants i tried over there! Had breakfast of Tosilig, which was excellent and every bit as satisfying as the ones I ate in the Philippines. They had good coffee and there was tea as well, and I was happy! Service was excellent and I just wish I could have been there for the buffet, which I think they said usually stays around 11, which was right after I left. :-( They had already started putting it out and when the lady saw me looking she told me I could switch to try some of what they had, but I stuck with my delicious pork belly, rice and eggs. I cant recommend this place enough! Go for a lunch buffet!!

There was a monitory tip which was very high, at an all you can eat buffet? The tables were sickly food was just that there, my friend and l were also blowed for days. I will not go there! I only could have tiny bit of noodles so I won t be starving then I was like so at least let me have desserts , it was just 3 types of fruits. The pineapple were salty , the orange was dry af, couldn t even eat their desserts , imagine chewing slime. And they charged 17!!!!!!! bucks each person. Never ever gonna say the world Philippine food in my life again.

Very disappointed :( Have not had true Filipino food in a while. Was excited for the opportunity especially considering it s a buffet. Food was terrible! Buffet items NEVER refilled during my dining experience even though 5 items were empty upon arrival. 8 people in the restaurant. Seemed to be mostly family. Karaoke was going on, and I was looking forward to some good Filipino food and entertainment. Didn t happen. Workers all very nice and place tolerably clean. $15.99 for this dinner buffet, not including drink, is very high considering the quality. However, unlikely to come again as I doubt improvement in food.

First i wanted to say thank you to the regular cowboy that comes here frequently. Thanks for the birthday lunch buffet. I dont know you but have a kind heart and bought me lunch and i will pay it forward. . I dont see filipino buffet often and its a regular weekday and weekend all day buffet is wow. Also as of Feb 2024 it is 15.99 for lunch buffet. . So I went on a Tuesday during lunch time. I didnt know what to expect but I did make a phone call and make sure they are open and see what time they serve lunch buffet. They say 10am. I was happy. . So I went inside and they told me I can just go get the plate. So I went straight to the buffet and looked at the options. I started with small portions to taste the meat and flavors and textures. I knew what I was eating, its just that I need to make sure it is fresh and not stale or been sitting in the warmer for too long. Everything was fresh around 1130am. . I loved the different variety they had. Now onto what I liked. . Pancit - I love the vermecielli noodles. I loved the flavor it was savory. Also I like the cabbage inside and veggies. . Loved the milk fish sour soup. It was appetizing and had the right amount of vinegar in it. I mixed the other veggie soup, and I couldnt stop eating the bok choy, okra, and green beans in the soup next to the milk fish sour soup. . Loved the little lumpia, they were so flavorful and ate a hand full of those. . They dinaguan aka chocolate meat, my co worker makes the best but this one was good too. . Loved the sautéed choyote veggie mix. It was a great colorful healthy veggie dish with bitter melon, kombucha squash, and other veggies. . Desserts loved they had cassava cake which is coconut in it. Loved the purple sticky rice which was lightly sweetend. Loved the fresh fruits such as oranges, cantelope, and pineapples. . Overall this place is a great introduction for people who likes trying new things or felipino food. Imagine you went to a wedding or a family friend house and you get to eat all of this without going to an event. I wish we have this back home in sac. Hope this helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day!

If you are not familiar with filipino food, be prepared to try a whole new palette of flavors here! They have everything from pancit, lumpia, lechon, calamari, chicken adobo, chicken in peanut butter sauce and more! They also have a fruit and dessert spot to the side. Make sure to check out the treats near the checkout area as well, where you ll find a fridge display with ready to purchase cakes, pandesal and more. We love this down to earth dining spot and will continue to support TJ s when we re looking for filipino food

Came here for the first time with my wife. We were in the area and we heard so much about this Filipino buffet so we decided to give it a try. I don t remember all the names of the food items, but there were a lot of varieties. This was my first Filipino buffets and it isn t expensive at all considering Filipino food being pretty expensive in general. I had about 12 different food items to consume and there were a few more other choices. They also have a little dessert and fruit area. They sell some food items to-go at the counter and they sell Halohalo separately. Their Halohalo was a bit small for $7, but it was very delicious. Their buffet which starts at 1130am, is only lunch and dinner. They also serve breakfast, but it is not a buffet. The drinks are not free, but the refills are. Definitely recommend to come here if you re ever in the Pearland area. The only thing I d say that was bad was the refill of of food is pretty slow so you re sometimes waiting there for the food. It gets kind of bad when there is a line because everyone is grabbing a lot of each item. There is a lot of parking. The staff are friendly and service is on point. They have a karaoke area where people can sing and/or there are entertainers. They have lots of tables to dine at as well.

Went here today for lunch for the very first time, and was kind of disappointed. There were so many items missing that I was expecting based on reviews and blogs such as calamari, chopsuey, sinigang, nilaga, menudo, mechado, fried chicken and pork adobo. Items such as tapa and longganisa are sold separately as boxed meals. Food was ok but very limited. Dessert is pretty much meh. Our bill, for my girl and I, was close to $40 and I didnt find it worth it compared to other buffet options. I hope they do better, but Im not coming back here.

What a lucky find! Went to Bass Pro in Pearland, and this place is very close by. Excellent food at a reasonable price. You need to go there hungry, because there are so many amazingly delicious selections. My favorites were the fried pork and the beef soup, but it was hard to select favorites from among so many dishes that are new favorites on their own. The service was friendly and plentiful. Definitely a new favorite among Houston restaurants. Ill go back here again, even if Im not going to Bass Pro. Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to tomatoes and wheat. They were able to show me which dishes had neither, and there were plenty. Parking: In a big strip mall Kid-friendliness: Seems like a nice place to take kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Good reserved parking for wheelers, wide front doors with low threshold, plenty of tables to wheel up to. Should be able to see and reach the choices on the steam table if youre average height or better. Spacious aisles.

The staff needs lessons in customer service especially in phone interaction. Each time I call, the person answering answers as if he/she was at home. When I ask is this TJ? They say aha and they ask who is this? As if they would know if I tell them who I am! This is a business! They should answer each phone call in a professional way by stating the name of their business and asking the reason for the call. The food quality is bang on average bordering on mediocrity. Nothing really special about their food. The price of take aways are so very expensive too. They really lucky not to have any competition as there is no other Pinoy eatery in Pearland. There is so much room for improvement.

We got there for lunch buffet before 2pm. Most items on buffet gone or very scarce. Food in most trays was COLD and dry, almost empty. They did refill a couple of missing items but not all. Food tasted ok except for watermelon which tasted old and bad. Waite staff was nice and friendly. It s Saturday so they had a singer so the whole place was very loud. Will not go back again.

Oh my my, what a great cute place for filipino food! My friend highly recommended this place to me even though it is 30 minutes away from me I still made the trip and I was glad I did. They are running a buffet style dinner and lunch menu. They have live singer on the weekend, feels very homie. The buffet stands are pretty clean, lots of selections to choose from. Almost all the most popular filipino dishes are here. You can find amazing sigsig, many different soup dishes. fried items are crispy too. I tried almost all soups, they are super flavorful, very generous with all meats even though these days, meats are so expensive. And they didnt use cheap meats either. Fruits bar is not bad, all that for $15.99 per person. Its well worth it. Highly recommended, will definitely try to make another trip soon.

Went to buffet at 2pm for late lunch. I called before going and was told the buffet ended at 6pm. Most items on buffet gone or very scarce. I Drove quite a distance to get there so I stayed. The food was COLD and again, most pans on buffet empty. I even asked if they could refill the missing items and the waitress went and asked cook and he said they were out....of at least 3 to 4 things . The desert bar was COMPLETELY empty but the waitress did add more desert after I asked. I gave 2 stars because everyone was so nice and friendly. Food was at best ok...but it was old and cold. If you are going to provide a buffet... keep it stocked (esp if a customer asks for irvif uc items that are on buffet) and maintain adequate temperature.

Better than most Filipino Buffets in Houston and Greater Houston Area. Very reasonable price and huge selection to satisfy your Pinoy cravings. Everything flavored well and just right. Complete range of sauces and dips are available to complement your lechon, lumpia, sinigang or kare-kare. The deserts were fresh and not overly sweet. They can also make you halo-halo complete with ube ice-cream and Leche flan, just ask any of the friendly people that work here. Definitely worth the drive.

I didnt think the food was like oh my God amazing but they have a nice selection for an all day buffet. It reminds you very close comfort to Candelaria. They could have a 5 star if more sauce options available and more pinoy desserts ie. Fruit salad, halo-halo etc.
