Lovely little shop! A curated selection of books, nicely arranged. Inviting spots to sit and enjoy coffee and reading. A cute area for children to read and play. Delightful staff who are very helpful but not pushy. And the coffee? EXCELLENT. I chose a Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso. It was appropriately strong, just the right level of sweetness, creamy with oatmilk, and had an extra sprinkling of cinnamon. There were spots for sitting alone, sitting with a group, and work spaces for working on your laptop. Their Facebook page shows a variety of activities they host there, though I havent joined one yet. And a big bonus for me is that theyre a BIPOC- and women-owned business. All in all, I look forward to visiting this spot again to sit a spell, sip a nice coffee, and read.

From my perspective its hard to describe the joy, solitude, and just the feeling that the world is so beautiful and were all gonna be alright from just being at LIT Coffee. It gives you a bit of all those things from your interaction with the staff, to the books, and even the the customers that walk in have a different vibe/good spirit about them. Drinks are pretty darn good so much so that I drove back today from the energy corridor just to stop by. Being in Portland, Oregon the last 8 months gives me a different perspective about a lot of things but the bookstore and Coffee shop is just something I miss about the PNW. Finding LIT and the fact it is black-owned/woman-owned adds to the overall greatness of the space. Ill definitely make this part of my weekly routine of just hanging out there. Thank You.

I found this place during a bookstore crawl and its now my go-to coffee spot! The vibes, the tribe, the books, the treats--its all amazing! Angie & Dewana make it a point to make everyone feel welcomed. And my kids adore Little Lits Blvd (the kids area). Highly recommend.

Finally got to check this place out. I brought my 5 year old and she was so happy to see they had a kids book section and a play coffee shop to entertain her the entire time. The iced latte I got was REALLY good and the book selection was good! Loved the vibe of this place so much. They have a book of the month club so hopefully I ll make it back to join the September one. Can t wait to go back!

I think its awesome, my wife and I went to check it out for the first time but our experience was tainted by the customer service. The girl behind the counter with the septum piercing needs further training or to be replaced with someone that greets customers, can at least fake a smile or pretend to care, can offer a better description od the artisan treats than its oatmeal.

Such a fabulous find and addition to Pearland. We love being able to bring the kids, get coffee, and enjoy time with family and/or friends. We are able to host our monthly book club comfortably here too. We love being able to gather knowing our kids can be kids here in a safe space!

Im so happy to find this place so close to the house. A nice alternative to the national book chains. This independent bookstore/coffee shop is truly indie and offers a nice assortment of books, merch , coffee, and snacks. The space is larger than the entrance suggests. It is designed to offer comfortable places to sit and read, play board games, enjoy coffee, tea, etc. with friends or alone, and even watch poetry/readings on their stage. Check their website for upcoming events. We happened to visit just as Banned Book Bingo was starting. Fun time and I won socks. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon.

I really enjoyed my time here. This place is black owned, and woman owned. It s quaint, but doesn t feel cramped. They have a pretty nice selection, and a very cute kids corner with activities and so many children s books. The coffee was fantastic, and the service was great. I will return for sure.

I met the owners at a festival before they opened their actual store and they were so kind and passionate. I bought some books from them then so when we saw that they were open, we had to pop in! It s such a lovely place to be. It s bright and welcoming. It s very clean and not cluttered, but there is so much to choose from. I love the diversity in their book selection and their intentional choice of books that they offer. All people can find a book that speaks to them here. I don t drink coffee but I order a cappuccino and it was delicious. I wish we still lived closer because we would be there all the time, but it s definitely worth a drive!

I stopped by LIT Java today on the recommendation of several friends. I was so impressed! The smell of new books greeted me first, followed by the coffee aroma. I ordered a drink and it was delicious! I m diabetic and need sugar-free syrups and they have vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. Very helpful barista, and great quality coffee! It s also a very inviting space! I want to go back some time with friends and try out their beautiful sitting areas! They also have a kid s corner and events like poetry nights!
