Weve searched for ramen like ramen Kumamoto back in Delaware in Texas and Ive been severely dissapointed by receiving a bowl of ramen that looks like it was taken out of a ramen noodle package doused with water sprinkled with some herbs and served. This was the first bowl of ramen that was closest to home & Im so happy the search is over.

5 stars for absolutely everything!! The food here is amazing, delicious every time I come here. The manager/owner is also a waiter working here (not entirely sure if he s the owner but I know he definitely runs the place ). He is the sweetest man ever! And it is absolutely beautiful in here. There is always good music playing and it is always the perfect temp!! Definitely come here and have a bite, either with yourself, a partner or with your family.

Not only is the food delicious but the workers are always very sweet, welcoming and making sure their customers are always taken care of. The restaurant is always very clean and so are the restrooms, which is a plus. They will always have my little family and I as customers. I love the shaggy dog roll and all of the ramen.

Sam ramen is as good as you can get out of a local spot. Good service but phenomenal food. The ramen is so rich and silky. The sushi is fresh and not crazy expensive. Also the best egg rolls around! This is a top 5 for me.

The place is so wonderful, clean, and more elegant than I couldve hoped for! The atmosphere was tranquil, and relatively quiet (with piano music in the background). Service here is so helpful and considerate! So friendly and patient, theres a lot of love and care that goes into the place! The food was presented beautifully and tasted just as good as it looked! I had ordered the The Eel Dragon sushi roll along with the Spicy Miso. Will definitely be coming back!

I tried this place out for lunch today. I ordered Spicy Miso Ramen to go and my friend ordered Tonkotsu Ramen. The pork in my Spicy Miso Ramen was cooked to perfection. We were both really happy with the ramen and we cant wait to be able to dine in. Very nice restaurant, very clean, easy to order the food and a very nice person who took our order. I definitely plan to return soon!

I came here a few weeks ago because I had a sore throat and wanted some ramen. While I was here I also got a Phili roll. It was hands down the best I ve ever had. I get a phili at every sushi place I go. I just traveled back to south Houston and was sure to book a hotel near by.

We really loved this place. The food was delicious , with excellent service and atmosphere. My husband and I asked for the spicy miso Ramen and the noodles were cook perfectly, the meat had a great flavor and the grill touch made it delicious, we loved it, also we tasted the Shaggy dog rolls and my son asked for avocado&cream cheese we enjoyed them. The servers were very polite, friendly, and very attentive; my son had an accident spilling his drink, and they were very comprehensive that was an accident and they moved us to another table and handle the situation very well and respectful that happened right away we sat down so we really appreciated that they made our son feel comfortable after an embarrassing moment for him. Definitely, we will be back.

My daughter and I finally got the opportunity to try this place out and we really enjoyed it. The interior was well maintained and had a great atmosphere. We ordered the chicken yakitori as an appetizer, which we both really liked. For entrees we ordered the beef ramen and chicken broccoli. Both were great-although the ramen did score higher on the tastiness scale. The staff was incredibly friendly. We will definitely be returning.

What a great place to come when you re craving some amazing Japanese Food. Very nice casual atmosphere, but the vibe is awesome, the wait staff are more than polite, and provided us with a great dining experience. Beautiful and peaceful atmosphere. All their food was very fresh and clean. I dont like seafood at all but I WILL be getting another of their seafood ramen. 10000/10 service. Very kind and showed respectful gestures towards my husband and I. I dont like to try new things but I will try something new from their menu every time I go there. Absolutely perfect. Im pregnant with twins and thats the first time I was able to sit comfortably and finish my food with no tummy pain. I think my twins like it too .

I work across the street from Sam Ramen and finally tried it today. TO SAY I VE BEEN MISSING OUT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! What a lovely place! The staff is so so friendly, the food is delicious and fresh, and you can comfortably eat here with only 30 minutes for a lunch break. You ll spend the same (or more) going to Panera or Chipotle but the food doesn t even compare. Expectations were exceedingly met. I had a high craving for some ramen today, and I m not from this area, I ended up on this side of town for other reasons and was on my way to another ramen spot across town. While I was leaving the target parking lot on my way I saw this place at the stop light and was like let me save the trip and go here instead. BEST CHOICE EVER MADE. The spicy miso ramen is PACKED with flavor and I love a good crunch to my meals so the added purple onion was a fantastic touch. I wish they had one of these back in my hometown. 10/10 would recommend.

I chose this place as a birthday treat from my friends. I had wondered about this place since I love Ramen but havent found a place thats close that I like. It was 8 of us, and it was our first time. Upon arriving, the host made room for us right away. The place is beautiful, clean and peaceful. We were treated very well (I was impressed, honestly). Our server took our orders, and when the apps and food came out, it was correct and looked and tasted delicious. I ordered the cheese wonton, the Texas Roll, and a ramen from the kids menu to try. The food did take a while to come out, but that was understandable, being that we were a large group. I enjoyed everything I had. The ramen taste was average to me, but for the price, it was great. One of my friends had the teriyaki shrimp with white rice and veggies and loved it, so I will have to try that next time. That being said, I will definitely be coming back to try out other items.

8/2023: Highly recommend this little gem of a restaurant! The owner has now briught in a great chef whos dishes are authentic and is awesome with sushi. I liked the place before but this change has me excited. They added many sushi options to the menu. The rolls are nicely made and are delicious. 4/2023: Slow service sometimes but they want your business and make up for it. Love sweetheart role and chick on a stick. Previous review: Usually get takeout from here but decided to try dining in. Seated and received beverage pretty quick but finished the beer before the server came to take our order. We dropped $ on table for beers and left. Ill give them another chance later on. Theyre still new. Oh the food we get as takeout has always been decent.

I have visited this place twice with my girlfriend on evening dates. Both times getting there about an hour before close. No ugly faces because its almost time to close just overall great service. Consistently refilling my water. Asking how everybody is doing and eveything is going. Food coming out in a timely manner. The quality of the food, amazing. Could not be more satisfied with an establishment. My first time here we tried the Godzilla roll and this time The las vegas sushi roll which is out of this world delicious. The sesame chx follows suit. My girlfriend tried the tonkatsu ramen, which she loved. The spicy edemame is sweet and spicy. Taps into multiple flavor profiles. We also got the spicy tuna roll which has a spicy mayo sauce on top. Extravagant flavor. Do recommend visiting and giving it a try. The people are always friendly and the food is great. Parking: Plenty of space around. Wheelchair accessibility: Checks every box for accommodations.

I had tried this place in the past and it was ok. Today I was craving Korean and they happen to have something similar to Jjamppong so I decided to give it a try. I ordered Brussels Sprouts appetizer and it was really great 4 stars. The Korean Seafood Ramen had no flavor aside from spicy, some weird added spicy maybe cumin and packaged ramen. The noodles were definitely a regular maruchan packet and were overcookes. They could have just made Jjamppong instant noodles it would have been better. The soup came with 4 shrimp, 2 slices of scallops not full scallops, egg and two overcooked naruto slices. I couldnt finish it. The service was great friendly and clean place. Not sure if I will try again.

This place is so yummy... very clean tasting soups, if that makes sense. Its quiet and peaceful, they have soft ambient lighting and music, a classy little nook with good food at decent prices. We had a lil of this n that a far as appetizers go. I cant recall exactly what the names are to the dishes we ordered but I can assure you, they did not disappoint. The calamari was the best Ive ever had from anywhere, the only downside is I wouldve preferred marinara sauce, for the whole family we spent about 100 bucks but thats including tip.

The best restaurant I ve been to in 5 years. Honestly this is now my favorite. Where do I start? The moment I walk in I m greeted in a quiet and friendly tone. As you are helped to find a seat, another greets you to ask what you d like to drink. It was such a delight, yes DELIGHT to be in this establishment. The cleanliness, the attitude of pleasure to serve you and everything about the establishment makes it worth visiting. I ordered the Chicken Ramen with Japanese Green Tea. The broth was rich in flavor. The chicken was not chewy just right in tenderness. The perfect amount of vegetables in the ramen. Overall it was 10/10 in every aspect of the dish. My wife ordered the Spicy Miso Soup. She finished her whole bowl including the broth. Usually she never finishes her broth or vegetables but kept telling me how she was today. She loved the establishment just as much as me. Our server who I think may be the owner took the time to give me my green tea to go. He even explained that the tea was imported straight from Japan.

Worst dine-in experience that Ive ever had! They messed up our drink order 3 times, after they finally getting the drink order right they walked away without taking even an appetizer order. I had to call someone after a while to place an order. Once our appetizers came they dropped them off and walked away without taking our order. I had to call a second waitress after 15-20 mins to place an order. Once we placed that order almost 40-45 min went by, diners that ordered after us got their food. Even then we still didnt even get a Sorry for the wait or got acknowledged at all. When I got up and asked her for the check for the appetizers and drinks. She told me that our order was coming out in 5 mins but by this time I was clearly upset and no longer wished to wait. She then proceeded to inform me that it was cash only when we clearly saw other diners paying with their credit cards. Overall bad experience and I will never return there are other options and paying customers shouldnt be treated this way!

Maybe it was an off day today but I wasnt feeling it. The Miso Ramen I had was all kinds of strange, the temperature of the noodles was very hot (expected) but the broth was luke warm and so was all of the items in the bowl except for the corn, which was cold. Ive never experienced a noodle soup bowl that had varying range of temperatures before. The broth was also very salty to me. The noodles themselves were firm and had a good chew to them. The buns I had seemed like it was just frozen buns out of a box that was reheated. The staff was nice and the atmosphere was chill, but the food today was not great.

I met my wife and daughter here for lunch and I didnt know this place was here. The menu is just the right size with the right amount of appetizers, dishes and Ramen soups and Sushi to choose from. I ordered three egg rolls and Chicken Broccoli and it was excellent. My wife had the Chicken Ramen and was really good. Now I wish I had the Ramen soup but that will be another trip. My daughter had a crunchy roll and that was excellent. Its little places like this are a gem when you find them. I would highly recommend this place

Everything we had was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the Pork Ramen, and my husband had the beef, we got nuggets and fries for the toddler and also tried the Eel Dragon and Pasadena rolls. The crunch on everything fried (rolls, and even the nuggets & fries) was perfect! Eel Dragon was the perfect bit of spice and flavor. The Pasadena, although a bit large for a mouth-full, was so full of flavor, we ended up drizzling the sauce over the top and using our hands to pick up each slice and it made it a bit easier to handle in two bites. I did Try my husbands beef ramen and it was slightly sweeten then my pork, but hands down my pork was way more savory! Both portions were huge and we had to take almost half of each home (bonus they give you micro-wave friendly bowls to pack it in). We also ordered a plate of Mongolian beef to-go, which we snuck a bite of and it too was fantastic!

I ordered the veggie Ramen and overall it was really good. I finished the entire bowl! I do wish the Ramen noodles were better quality but not bad for some quick good Ramen. Now... I always judge a restaurant by their restrooms. The restrooms were not the cleanest. Staff was sitting around on their phones while restroom stayed horrible.

ridiculously over priced orange chicken meal. literally 3/4 its mostly breading than chicken. plus the chicken in general was rough and chewy. must have been in the heat too long or something because that was the worst orange chicken i have ever had in my life. their fried rice was gross as well, no flavor at all besides the chopped up peas and onions. paid $65 for me and my mother. $25 for a very very tiny personal wine drink. the server didn t give me a heads up either. i was assuming maybe a couple of dollars extra for the drink since it was with the cheap american beer choices. so yes. $40 just to eat cr@ppy food and over priced drinks/food. literally. idk how they are still in service. My family and I legit said NEVER AGAIN. disgusting.

Brought my boys and we loved our chicken ramen it was delicious. It was sooooo good and well done and a great size. We had really Great service and we also had 2 Starbucks drinks and they allowed us to have them inside. They even have kids character chopsticks. Will definitely come back! Thanks

They charged my card $50 for a meal that cost $17 then added a $5 prossesing fee and the staff argued with the manager in front of me took 2 charges then said its my card which my card has never done that before

I ordered the chicken lo mein and the chicken tasted like breaded bubble gum. They only use the gristle, not a single piece of actual chicken meat. It was horrible, stay away.

Im not a picky eater but I have to say, the service was good, but the food was not. Terribly thin dry old chicken and the ramen noodles were practically spaghetti. The egg in my ramen disintegrated in my mouth like it was made of powder. Made me a sad panda.

Delicious!!!!!! Tons of flavor, Food was amazing as well as the service, they made special chopsticks so my daughter can eat with them. Inside is really nice and well attended to. Will be returning soon!! Also for the people who say they were not allowed to be seated is because they sold out of everything!!!! And why would a restaurant seat you when theres no food to serve!! The food is that good!!!

I should of read the review before I ate here. I got the spicy chicken ramen and it was terrible the egg was cold and it wasn t even spicy more like sour. We also got gyoza and they were cold!!! Listen to the reviews and save your money this place isn t worth it so disappointing.

I came here the other day on a whim. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. I lived in Japan for a few years and the food here took me back. I ordered the chicken ramen and my son got the tonkatsu. Really great quality at an affordable price. Stop by and get something to eat. You wont regret it. They also have sushi but I havent had any YET. But based on the other food, I expect it will taste great. Ill update my review after I try the sushi.

When we arrived we were seated promptly, we were the only ones there. We had the crispy crab rolls which were like egg rolls. We also ordered the Tonkotsu ramen and the miso ramen. I recommend the miso ramen because it was very flavorful, the tonkotsu was missing a lot of flavor.

Food was mediocre at best. Prices were higher than similar places in the local area, The physical facility of the restaurant was not pleasant. Staff was unfriendly . No other restaurant asks for ID to buy alcohol.I look younger than my age but at 70 yo there is no need to be carded! My bottom line I will never return to this restaurant.

Decided to give this place a try on 10/29/2021. The setting was nice but the host lacked enthusiasm, was not very welcoming as she was more consumed with her AirPods and smart phone. We were seated promptly (not busy at the time we visited) and had a nice view of their big screen TV. We ordered the: 1. Curry spicy miso- The food was not hot enough (lukewarm), the 1/2 egg was cold, was extremely salty, and overall lacked flavor. 2. Seafood Korean Ramen- Ramen tasted like a store bought package (Top Ramen or Maruchan Ramen brand) I would have prepared at home. The shrimp and the egg were over cooked and spice level was through the roof. If 5 is hot this was a 10 3. Yummy Chashu bun There was nothing yummy about this. The meat stuffed inside was horrible but at least the bread it was encased in was soft; but bread is bread. Conclusion- Save yourselves the trouble, the disappointment, and your money.

This is the WORST ramen I have ever had. The ramen had no flavor. In addition the pork and egg were overcooked. When I expressed this to the manager, she brushed off my concerns and never acknowledged them. The customer service was also horrible. The waitress never came to refill my food or asked if there was anything else that I needed. Usually I wouldn t mind but with the restaurant being practically empty, I would have expected better customer service. Please do not waste your time or your money.

Tried this place for the first time and was not impressed. I ordered the pepper steak with fried rice. The meat was drowned in sauce but did not have a whole lot of flavor, and the meat was very chewy. The fried rice was very bland and some pieces were hard (more thank likely old rice) there were huge chunks of bell pepper that were hard to cut thru. Over all I ended up throwing it away which sucked because it was rather pricey, so I dint think il be going back to try again.

Takoyaki s were good and flavorful. Spicy miso ramen & Black Bean ramen had good flavor but that was really it. The sliced veggies were really big and hard to eat. Brussel sprouts I probably wouldn t get again. At the end of it it turns into a extra saucy soup. Service was good at the beginning but at the end it started to taper off. I can understand if it s busy but if we re the only people eating Overall it was ok, service needs a bit of work and I have noticed a help needed sign so they might be understaffed too.

Read the reviews and decided to try it out. My husband and I were very pleased. The chicken ramen had amazing flavor, for the appetizers we selected cheese puffs and the goyza both were very tasty. Service is quick and they are very nice. We will definitely be returning. I m glad Pasadena finally has a yummy ramen spot!

Literally the best orange chicken & cream cheese wonton Ive ever ever ever had!!!!!! So happy I found this place because theres no good Chinese food in Pasadena!!!! My husband and I went here on a date night and wanted to try another place close to here but it was closed so we settled. Foremost, its important to understand there are a lot of very good asain, ramen, sushi places in the area so to me a place needs to be as good or better to get my business on repeat. Im on the fence about this place really The good. The food is delicious. We got a jalapeño popper roll to start and it was fresh and tasty. We also got a roll and two pho soups. They bring everything out scary fast. If youre in a hurry this is your place! The pork in the pho was tender. The bad. No Wasabi ginger or soy with our roll. Loud techno music playing the whole time. They brought out my cabernet cold. The drink menu is very limited, sake 4 wine choices or beer. I thought everything was a little overpriced. The weirdest thing? All the rolls are fried or have a fried component. Why? I dont like mine fried.. we found that off putting Bottom line i have my preferences for other sushi and ramen places. This is not the best or the worst. would probably make a good lunch spot since theyre so fast

I had the Takoyaki for the appetizer. I found these to be delicious. For the main dish I went with Tonkotsu Ramen, which was quite good as well. We also had the California Roll and Shaggy Dog sushi rolls. Both were great. Service here is quick as is the time to get your food. You wont be waiting long to get this great food in front of you. Atmosphere is nice as well.

This place is great. Ordered curry spicy miso and tonkotsu ramen. The gyoza tastes so good worth the price. Also ordered some sushi (absolutely delicious), tempura icecream(deep fried icecream which tasted like heaven). Got to try the mango nigori which was also good. Overall the food is worth it and the staff is also very nice. Definitely worth trying
