I cannot give this business enough stars!! I have been going here since they opened when I was just a kid with my mom. Now that I am grown, and live hours away, my mom is in the hospital and she wanted a plate from Andy s. Not only was I able to get it delivered to the hospital but when I called to see if they could write a note IN SPANISH (That is all my little old lady speaks) for her, they did!!! Thank you a million times you have no idea how happy you made us both!! It s customer service like this I wish all businesses had!! Everytime is a great time at Andy s! The food is just as outstanding as the service, one of the top places to try in South Houston.

Unfortunately, the food was way below expectations. The place was highly recommended, and the reviews looked good. But, this wasnt the case with the food. Both the brisket and turkey were really dry, bland, and tasteless. The peach cobbler wasnt any better. Based on my meal today, I would not recommend the food.

Order this online and I be mindful of the drive back to my hotel for the temperature. I got the brisket baked beans coleslaw and Mac and cheese. Brisket was tasty and tender. Bbq sauce was amazing that came with the dish. Coleslaw has amazing flavor! Baked beans were ok and the Mac and cheese could use more oomph! I m not a fan of the white bread but if it came with corn bread that would have big a plus for me. I ll definitely make sure to eat inside next time.

Staff is not Texas friendly, but the food is great, so I allow for the lack of warmth. But one of these days, Im going to get them to smile! Ive found another new food hideout. This place is a tucked away gem. The first time I came was during the Hurricane Beryl aftermath. The staff were prepared to serve with opened arms. After tasting their three meats combo, I came back the next day to catch their shrimp and catfish specials. I dont have photos this time around, but that can easily be explained. It food was too delicious for me to be thinking about taking pictures. The customer service is excellent, and they are not shy in letting you know that they appreciate you as a customer. Excellent customer service

The food was good. But not exceptional. You order your food at encounter like a fast food they do bring it to you in what looks like to go boxes. The meat itself was tender and flavorful, the barbecue sauce was a bit thin. I personally prefer a thicker sauce. But for a neighborhood restaurant I would go to it again, but I would not make a special trip out of my way. This was my first time at this restaurant. I was excited to try it and it didn t disappoint! The sliced brisket was tender and flavorful. The fried okra was crispy and well salted. But the real star of the meal was the BBQ sauce. I don t know if it s homemade or they buy it, but it s some of, if not the best BBQ sauce I ve ever had. I live 16 miles away and would make that drive just for the sauce haha. I heard they re working on setting up an all you can eat buffet in the near future - would love to go for that. Highly recommend, can t wait to go back!

Here now and decor is fitting and nice. The food is average but probably decreased flavor due to the poor attitude representing this establishment. The front desk lady need to be replaced with a better attitude to take orders, she can still monitor the money where she can take payment if that s what she wants to manage. This place was great from the atmosphere to the gentleman in the back who is bringing me my food The pulled pork sandwich was on point the barbecue sauce was amazing. The only complaint I have i have Is with the lady at the front counter. First of all, she does not look happy to be there or happy to be serving anybody she talks to you in such a manner that it borderline rude or she s annoyed that you are there. My husband and I just dined here for the first time. The food is FANTASTIC. The food and the service of the young gentleman who brought us our food is the reason more than one star is given. The lady at the window was very curt (bordering on being all-out rude). She came across as impatient, discourteous and acted as if she was irritated that I dare make an order. One of the best barbecue restaurants in Houston. Old time atmosphere, but modern. I ordered the three meat BBQ platter. It ran about $18.99 plus Dr. Pepper(20oz). The food was fresh. Disappointing brisket. I ordered Brisket to go . When I got home and opened up the container, to my shock, the brisket looked like pale steamed fatty slices of meat. It looked unappealing and it tasted unpleasant, chewy fat. Definitely not worth coming back. Its a little Hidden Gem hidden in the middle of a Suburban neighborhood I had to Google it in order to find out where it was but once I got there I definitely wasnt disappointed when I walked in the place definitely has that typical Texas feel to it country music playing in the background and lots of locals you can definitely tell this place has been a staple of the neighborhood for a long time I ordered the two Meat barbecue plate brisket and pulled pork with two sides they served it to me within literally 5 minutes of me ordering it so the service was super fast the brisket was so tender and juicy and melted in my mouth so tender so so tender and the pulled pork was a little dry but the homemade barbecue sauce that they had more than made up for that the atmosphere is really nice its very cozy and comforting if its your first time in Houston I definitely suggest you come to this place

Ordered this restaurant via uber eats and they actually dont physically open until 11 am but i was very surprised and appreciate them allowing uber eats orders before 11. I ordered a pound of brisket, a pound of ribs, and potato salad. Everything tasted amazing. This place is a hidden little gem. The atmosphere and service were great. The music play isnt so loud that you cant have a conversation, but just loud enough to enjoy it. The bbq ribs and brisket were cooked really well and had great flavor. The sauce was pretty good, but the meat didnt need it. I only gave 4 stars for the food, because the Mac n cheese and coleslaw were pretty basic. Like it was ordered from a food provider like sysco. The people in here were also very friendly. Prices were pretty fair for the serving size too. Great place to come eat som bbq!

Got two 1 meat plates. My wife got ribs, mustard potato salad with Mac & cheese. I got brisket with Mac & cheese and turnip greens. Ribs weren t good. Brisket was okay needed a little more seasoning. Amazing food and probably some of the nicest people I ve ever met! Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted by the people working behind the little window where you order. They didn t just say hello, but engaged us in conversation, telling us the specials and asking if we d been before and where we were from. Super, super nice people. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was hands down some of the best pulled pork I ve ever had. And it sounds weird, but I couldn t get over how delicious the coleslaw was! OMG!!! Andy s Hawg Wild Barbecue is a great find for me and my wife. Our original plan was to try this restaurant back in May for my birthday but it was Sunday and it was closed. Today we decided to give Andy s a try. This turned out to be a great choice. The food is some of the best I have ever had. I ve never been a fan of catfish, but my wife told me I needed to taste her s. The catfish is like no other catfish I ve come across. I guarantee I will eat catfish from Andy s. I had the Chuckwagon sandwich with onion rings. Great flavor and perfectly cooked. The breaded beef steak was outstanding. Not greasy and very tender. 20 out of 10. Same goes for the onion rings. We are definitely coming back soon. Andy s is now on our list of favorite places.

I visit Houston/ Pasadena twice a year and every time, I need to go to Andy s. I always order something different and I love everything I ve eaten. My personal favorites are the giant potatoes, meat with two sides (ribs and brisket), their burger and fries, armadillo eggs, fried chicken, and the following sides: red beans and rice, fried okra, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, greens, and baked beans. Good Bar-B-Q. A little disappointed on how much they went up on prices. I know everyone is charging more, but $12 just for a chopped beef sandwich?? And thats just the sandwich...no side, no drink!! Used to go there regularly, but now it will definitely be not as often.

These guys are consistently good at what they do. Portions are nice, plentiful, and served with a smile. Personally, I go for the spicy boudin each time that I visit, and it never disappoints. For the area of town, its the best option that youre gonna find. And its always fun to see Mr Andy working side by side with the crew. Parking: Nice open lot with plenty of free parking.

This is really a gem. A small local BBQ spot in a neighborhood in Pasadena. First time here today, and the food was phenomenal . We ordered the baked potato salad with meat delicious, especially for those who love potato salad. We also ordered ribs (meat falls right off ) and a quarter chicken. Now for dessert, we got the black berry cobbler with a side of ice cream. On their menu, they also have gumbo and fried seafood options. Im definitely returning back. HIGHLY recommended . The staff is very friendly and very informative and very attentive. Thank you all for the wonderful experience for our first time. The inside if the restaurant has lots of history on their walls and the tables they have are very cool, very southern . Wheelchair accessibility: In the front its all handicap parking

Ive eaten here 3 times and the first 2 were delicious, which is the reason Im giving them 2 stars not 1. I visited at lunchtime with my supervisor and a coworker. My coworker was overcharged a drink when her meal already came with one, I paid next and was charged a drink although I got water. When my roast chicken dinner came, the chicken was pink and partially raw where the thigh connected. I took my meal to the window, intending to get something else, but the cashier shoved my sides back at me and told me to take this and walked away with my chicken before I could say anything else. She brought the closed container back, told me she had cut it up and made some excuses as she walked away about they cook to an internal temp, how it is cooked, etc. When I opened the container, I realized she had cut the same chicken up, removed the thigh that was partially raw and given it back to me. The rest was cooked at least, and I didnt want to disrupt our meal further after all the other issues. However, I paid for a full meal, I intended to take half the chicken for my dinner, but didnt receive it. When she overcharged us, she made a comment about being glad we caught her mistakes or she would have had to give us a free banana pudding. She barely apologized for my undercooked chicken let alone offered anything for wasting my lunchtime or the chicken she removed. I did call the restaurant later to speak to the manager about the cashier, only to be told that cashier was one of the managers! Horrible display of management and lack of people skills. We were all disappointed and I doubt we will be back.

The Armadillo eggs are my favorite.Also the staff go above and beyond. I got up on a Sat morning and realized my wallet was missing. I had picked up an order late Friday evening right before they closed. Was looking everywhere for it,and was starting to believe I left it in my truck and someone stole it. I was about to start canceling cards and Loretta came to my home and returned my wallet. Big Thank you to Loretta and the staff member that left it on her desk.

I had been looking for a good bbq place since I relocated to Pasadena. I must say that the food here is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! if you have not been here you should !!
