Have been eating there for several years eat there9/20/24 and was so bad. Rolls were cold and hard and this was at 12:30 lunch time, plates for salad were a joke they were so small, had hamburger steak with fries, fries were over cooked and barely warm, gravy was nasty. Am really disappointed in it. Can remember when it was a treat to eat there and after all that our bill was still 48.00. Wont go back!!

Took a little while to get seated. We were the only ones waiting. Large party was not being tended to at the time. Only a couple other tables were there at the time as well. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Salad bar was terrible. Some of the item bowls were empty. I love tomatoes and grabbed three. They didn t look very good as they looked to be over soaked in their own juice. They looked mushy. I thought maybe they were over refrigerated after being cut but grabbed some anyway. 2 of the three tomatoes tasted EXTREMELY foul. I let the waitress know because I didn t want other ppl to come in and have to taste that. She was polite about it. Cranberries were delicious but I couldn t eat the salad after that. I really tried. Soup was ok. Steak was way undercooked and loaded baked potato was a completely load it yourself potato lol no complaints on taste but as much as it cost that s tacky. My chicken fried chicken was good. Can t complain because everyone s salt preference is different so I added just a little. Twice baked potatoes were not good. Fried pickles were DELICIOUS and fresh. All in all.. will not be back. Service was friendly. Atmosphere wasn t bad at all but dining experience was TERRIBLE. We had been looking forward to trying this place out. Good thing we didn t come on our anniversary like we had originally planned.

Drove from Midland to try this place. Walked in and stood there a few minutes, the only waiter in the place walked up to us and asked us to wait and then walked away. We stood and watched him talk to every table and go here and there and everywhere. After 10 more minutes of standing there we left. We are at The Barn Door now and the service is excellent!! Sid and Sam y all need to tighten WAY up .

This place seems good but the prices were outrageous for what you get steak was decent but the loaded baked potato that was the side was not loaded with anything they just give what is usually put in it and expect you to make it instead plus the AC was broken and the salad bar that get with it the salad there was brown and old Im not sure how long it had been setting out there for this was not a great experience at all

I came in to have a nice steak after a few long work weeks. I thought Id have the Texas Cut of the prime rib, cooked rare. While getting my salad, the waitress told me theyd only cook it one of two - medium well or well. Ive had steaks cooked rare at a few other spots in the very recent past. I just paid for my salad and tea, $16, and left. I wont bother going there again. Food is pricey, too, the steak I wanted was over $40. At least the girl was fast bringing my ticket. I tipped her more than the tab, not her fault that I left.

Ive been there 2 times now and both times the service was good. The salad bar is nice but could use a revamping. They were out of beer and they dont have draft... out of margueritas too. Chicken fried steak is good and green beans were delicious.... but I cant help but feel like this place used to be amazing and somehow the owner lost interest. Just a vibe I get. Oh, and the Little Joes cooked completely to death... 2nd time I asked for Medium rare... nope cooked completely to death!! Its a waste of filet.

The hamburger steak was a 1/4 lb tiny patty. I was thinking it would be a hamburger steak somewhat the same size as a serving of meatloaf. I was very disappointed!!!! The good thing about it was that the seasoning was decent. I wont be ordering it again if Im just going to get a hamburger.

I don t recommend unfortunately. We come here regularly and this is the first night we left upset. The soup was just per liquid not chicken enchilada. The pasta was over cooked and just plain nasty. None of the food had seasoning and just wasn t what they usually have. The server could care less on what we wanted. There were men at another table that got way better serves than my husband and I. The drinks tasted like sink water also, so this needs to be checked. I don t like to leave bad reviews with local businesses but this visit was ridiculous and for the prices we pay. I expect a lot more from you and your business. I ll be taking my business elsewhere for the moment. I don t recommend unfortunately.

We called in a to go order. It was to be ready in 20 min and its was. waitress was very nice & bubbly showed us the salad bar and it was wonderful. we asked for an extra go to go box for a salad and got charged $10.00 for it. the baked potato was like rubber I could not even cut it with a fork. then the steak was paper thin, had a bunch of seasoning on top, and was as hard as a rock. plus, it smelled like fish really bad so they must cook it on the same grill. plus, charges us 75.00 for a thin T-bone that was not worth it. It was our 1st and last time there.

More than likely this vist will be my last time here, my catfish was soggy and undercooked, the fried mushrooms looked amazing but had almost no flavor. While I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of the uncrowded restaurant on a Saturday evening it definitely didnt justify the hefty price tags on the menu or our ticket.

First time here, 1/19/24 for dinner, didnt have to wait for a table, hostess and waitress were kind. Drinks came quick, as well as the Little Joes appetizers, a few were quite tough for being filet mignon. Wife was freaked out by a baby cockroach hanging out on the salad wagon, didnt stop me from filling my plate and soup bowl, salad and fixings were fresh. Wife got the chicken fried chicken, the breading was moist and gooey, my t bone steak was maybe 3/8 thick and gray, covered in over seasoned butter, Ive had a better pork chop in Pecos county jail. Felt robbed of $100, but the wait staff were good.

I never expected this strip mall steakhouse to be amazing! Boy was I ever wrong. The plabano steak I had was so so good. We even went back two days later. Our server I forget her name, but she got a new car recently was so polite and helpful! The salad bar is a nice touch to the great steaks!!

The service is so terrible that we will never eat here again. The guy that served us had to go ask about everything. Came to Sid and Sam s for dinner. As we walked in there was a special on the chalk board out side with Prime rib. Came in and ordered a beer, they didn t have what I ordered, ordered another beer, she walks away, comes back and out of the second beer, order a third beer, and they had that one. Order the prime rib on special, because the sign said available after 5pm, and we were here at 6:15 pm. The waitress comes back and says they are out of prime rib. Then why is it on special? No answer. Very disappointing, do not plan on coming back. Last picture is what was ordered that they did have. The shrimp was tough, not sure if it was butterflied or they just beat it flat and cooked the hell out of it. The catfish was over breaded and really thick. The catfish didn t flake apart, and more like breaded mush. Absolutely ridiculous, $82.16 for three pieces of catfish and four shrimp. An appetizer and one beer. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a drive from where I live. You can get cheaper dishes here but I go here to splurge on the steak. The first time I went, greatest steak ever, second time...it was okay. Havent been in a while and ended up with an unexpected night off and went back. Greatest steak ever! I always want to give a little local place my money rather than a corporate type place. But this time this local place really left a bad taste in my mouth. I thought it was slow because I went mid week, I learned after I got my food why they were slow. Ive never in my life left some of my ribeye steak behind, this is how disappointing this steak was. And for $50??! I rather had gone to a chain restaurant and maybe paid $35 but I am sure it would have been better seasoned and cooked to the right temp. Mind you it had been 36 hrs since I had a chance to eat anything and I still couldnt down that steak. I couldnt believe it. Had a wonderful experience eating here. The staff was great. The food was excellent. A great atmosphere to be in. It is kinda tucked away in the corner but plenty of parking. The place was really clean, restrooms was clean. I suggest trying the ribeye it was wonderful. You have to ask for the cheese rolls, they are really good also. Will definitely be back. The food is always great! BUT I went there yesterday and ate with my wife and in-laws. The server was complaining that if WE break any of the glasses they charge him 4$ dollars a glass right off the bat. By the way we didn t break one glass. Then when it came to pay Scott F the little weasel added a 22 1/2% gratuity to my ticket 17.30 cents. He purposely showed me the ticket and DIDNT show me that he had already taken gratuity. I didn t have my readers glasses with me so I couldn t see what he had done. I added the gratuity 15% and he said nothing. By the way this was a split ticket of 7 people. Four on one and three on the other ticket. This little twerp should be fired for stealing. I will NOT go back as long as he works at Sid and Sams!

Got to say i had my doubts when we walked in because its dinner time and its semi empty. I am steak person so i ordered steak and shrimp. I gotta say hands down best steak I have had . Ordered one med-rare and other med-well cook obviously knows what he is doing . Onion rings were tasty i just would like more ranch to start off with. Bread was tasty as well. The mac-n-cheese needs work noodles too mushy and cheese watery . Service was A1 our server checked on us promptly with great timing . Food was terrible, service even worse , we were only patrons in restaurant. I mentioned to the server soup on bar was cold, she never did anything. More fat and gristle on steak than actual meat. Paid 45.00 for fatty grisly steak. Submitted a to go order(potato skins) was ready to leave ask for the order it wasnt Submitted so we had to wait 20 extra minutes. Listen to me!!! This place is amazing! My dad had a restaurant for 31 years, so I rate by quality control, taste of food & service. Chelsea was our waitress and by far one of the best Ive seen! She waited on us without being overbearing. She took care of all our needs! This place was clean and still blows my mind. This is not a fast food restaurant, its a top star sit down and eat place. You get what you pay for is what my dad always says & we got it. If you want the dollar menu go somewhere else. I have eaten at longhorn, outback & many other steakhouses. We took my husband for Fathers Day. It wasnt busy when we came in, sat immediately. It took awhile to get our drink orders, then it took a bit longer to get our food orders. When the food finally arrived, we had to wait for one of the plates as it wasnt prepared. Then when we got it, we were supposed to have Ribeye but he got a chunk of prime rib; which was cold and flavorless. The kids got burgers, which were really good. We had to wait for refills, that eventually came but was after most of us had stopped eating. I was disappointed that a meal that costly right now was terribly cooked and the wait staff was overwhelmed. Unfortunately, we wont be back.

Had dinner here on 3/19/22. Burger was fantastic. Zero complaints about the food. The 25% tip that I left was essentially doubled when the charge hit my bank account. I tipped our waitress above the customary 20% even though it felt like we were imposing on her for being sat at her table on this very slow night (maybe 6 other people eating in the restaurant total). The issue I have is not even the amount of money that was fraudulently added to my final charge, but the principle of doing something like that. There is no way it could have been miskeyed either because the amount of the tip and the total that I wrote on the bill could not have just been entered as a typo because they were both drastically different numbers. Tried to call the restaurant to inform them that their employees are doing things like this but no number they have listed ever gets answered. Like I said, the food was great but the shady addition of extra money to the tip/total is not so great. It also appears that none of the reviews on here are ever even reviewed by the restaurant given there has not been a single response by them.

I heard new owners were in charge. I was hoping for something more than it used to be. I was wrong; its just the same. Nothing changed. Same menu, same overpriced meals. For what they charge, they should be more like one of the other steakhouses close by.

The service was okay , but the steak over cooked . IT WAS THE THINEST T-BONE STEAK I EVER SEEN. THEN TO TOP IT OFF THERE WAS A ROACH ON THE WALL , CENTER OF TABLE . Wont be going back .

We tried this place again after many years. Food was good, portions are very large. Our server was nice but not very efficient. He seemed to be struggling to remember what we needed. Cleanliness is an issue. Menus were stained, and tabletop was sticky.

Ive been debating on writing this review for about a week now, but I feel it needs to be written to inform anyone else going forth, I went in for lunch with my fiancé on his lunch break, with both ordered burgers like we usually do, he (cheddar burger with no veggies) mine (classic cheese burger MED RARE, with extra american cheese) what comes out is, his burger cooked correctly with veggies, easy fix, mine however came out with no cheese, or veggies, our server said oh want me to have them melt cheese on it for you? in the back of my mind im thinking my burger is going to come back MED WELL or even WELL, turns out i was right, comes out well done, i send it back, and wait and pray that it will come out right the second time, it doesnt it comes out completely raw, the server in the midst of everything going on cant seem to look at me or my fiancé while things are trying to be fixed, I was informed that the manager was the one that cooked my burger the second time, however we never saw or spoke to them, needless to say, i am very thankful that they serve bread and have a salad bar because I wouldve left extremely hungry, I used to love this place but now i cant imagine giving them any more of my money when no one seems to care about quality or being charged extra because im using my credit card to pay my bill

I am so glad someone left a review about the manager Sara. My family had a similar experience at Sid and Sams with the manager. The food is actually pretty good there usually but the last time we went my steak was way undercooked and we asked to speak to the manager. She was sitting at the bar doing paperwork and we watched her several times go behind the bar and pour herself drinks in a styrofoam cup and she put a lid and straw on it I guess to hide the fact that she was drinking alcohol while working. Our server told her we wanted to speak to her and she was extremely intoxicated when she finally came to speak to us and then was rude and treated us like we were bothering her. I will never go to this restaurant again unless they get a new manager. Until then I advise everyone to stay away! She ruined this place for my family and I. When they get new management is when we will try them again.

If I could I wouldnt give a star, the steaks were tough not cooked the way we wanted couldnt eat it at all. For the price of the food you should get what you paid for. I felt like the cook didnt know how to cut the meat or cook it. Im sorry but Ill never go here again. I will not recommend anyone to eat here.

Food was not what it once was, my friend got the thinnest pork chops ever and the plate was $17, my chicken fried chicken tasted like something you pop in the microwave, mashed potatoes tasted sour and even the salad bar was sad.. not a good experience at all. Our waitress Daisy was great though.

Used to be my favorite place to go eat lunch or dinner. Never again! My son was trying to chase the roaches that were crawling all over the walls and the floors. We sat on the second table in the front. It was so disgusting we just paid our ticket and left. Waste of time, money and food. The waiter didn t even bother asking if we wanted to speak to a manager.

I went there last night to enjoy a great steak dinner that they have always been known for. I just couldn t enjoy my food because they had roaches everywhere, I mean in the paneling under the tables I talked to the server and he said they just sprayed recently and acted like nothing happened or it s a normal complaint. I then told him they re in the paneling and they crawled over our table while we were eating, the waiter ignored me and brushed it off and said I will let the manager know I apologize here s your bill, and was not concerned about the roaches at all. I will never eat there again it is NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. I totally understand that every restaurant has issues as far as insects but this was close to an infestation cause I counted 18 in just a few seconds I promise you !!!
