I had the mango fish ceviche, it was delicious! The vibe is great. The service was terrible. Our waitress was visiting with a group of coworkers and not concerned with taking our order, or keeping up with our drinks. I had to ask another waitress to get our waitress. She WAS on top of cleaning up with a rag while my husband was still eating.

Seated us took 20 minutes to come back for drink order 20 minutes to bring menus didn t speak English we used google translate .. 40 minutes later food came out was cold couldn t cut enchilada with fork wrong beans brought .. would not recommend .. but if you do go order the chips and queso because how hard is it to screw up! My friend and i went there today and they had several tables available but they couldn t let us sit because it was a table only for 4 people, however they have other people (2 people) sitting on some other 4 tops tables. We asked to talk to the manager because it didn t make any sense and she told us we couldn t sit just in case 4 tops get there i asked her if she preferred people to leave and said she will be fine if we wanted to. Menudo is not menudo , terrible., seven of us ate there today only two liked their food ., salsa is like water nothing stays on the tostada. Fish is terrible, the pastor tacos were terrible, the beef stew also was not liked ., We had to keep asking for this or that waitress never came and asked if we needed anything else., I got tired of asking. Staff is very nice and patient with my sadly-monolingual self but more importantly, *oh wow is the food fantastic.* It has dethroned Campo Azul and Los Caporales as my favorite Mexican restaurant (and, since I have traveled all over only to discover that no one knows delicious food as well as Mexicans do, that means its my #1 favorite). In particular: the sopapillas and carnitas are world-class. It is the only restaurant Ive found that does carnitas as tender as the legit home-cooked version. 11/10

I LEFT MY WALLET AT THE TABLE, THEY STOLE 25 DOLLARS OUT OF IT. DONT GO HERE. I ate here with my wifes mother and father. I would tell you if you dont know spanish dont bother. Our server couldnt speak any English. I had to have them translate for me. The food wasnt very good. Very disappointing actually. I definitely would never ever go back even if it was free. I am always one of those who say, that the atmosphere is up to you, if you are a bitter person you are going to feel bad anywhere, but nevertheless in fact my family and I had a great time at El Malecón! We had excellent service from the waitress Alexandra, the perfect atmosphere , excellent cleanliness , and exquisite drinks and food! I have no complaints about this place, I will say that I recommend them to go and if they can invite me, they invite me, I really enjoyed everything!

1st time here & my truly honest opinion is very mixed. I had the fish tacos grilled and they were superb! But French fries are not what I would consider a complimentary side dish. My awesome wife had a Mexican combo, taco, enchilada & rice and beans. It was not temp hot at all. Almost cool to touch. Our waitress spoke literally no English. She was very helpful and tried very hard. Someone spent a lot of money on the refurbishing of this establishment. Atmosphere is OK except for the overbearing sound. It is rather loud with music, but the acoustic effects make it hard to have conversations. It s up to you to decide what you think. Very doubtful. I ll come back.

¡Muy delicioso! Great atmosphere and the food is definitely on point! Walked in last night and there was a mariachi band playing. We were seated quickly and ordered drink within 2 minutes. Our server was really sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed. The menu shows accurate pictures of what you order, and the portion sizes are very generous. Once we ordered our food, we didnt have to wait long before we received it. All of the food was hot (almost as if they took it straight from the kitchen when they finished it) and tasted AMAZING!! We will definitely be back! Parking: It s located in Music City Mall, so there is plenty of parking

Mate and Molcajete the sequel. One visit after another. Once again it was excellent. Mate and Seafood. There is no better combination. The meal was excellent. What I asked for reminded me of a saying. I share it with a change. Pelon, pelonete, rocket head now not tomorrow Im not marrying a mocajete Im going to swallow it. Excellent service and the place is very spacious. I didnt expect it but there was also a Mariachi group the time I went. That detail was a plus above all and the musicians played very well. Its bad that my wife wasnt with me otherwise I would pay her for a song. It will be for the next time.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Midland/Odessa area. The chips and hot sauce are great here. Fresh and warm and always crunchy with great flavor. The menu is large but I haven t had anything bad yet. I went with the seafood fajitas this time. Plenty of food, I was stuffed.Tilapia was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The crab had good flavor and th shrimp as well. WY to many vegetables on the plate but they were tasty as well. Beans and rice were average but rounded out a good satisfying meal. They only downer for me is the wait staff barely if any speaks English which made it hard for us to communicate since I don t speak Spanish, but I have become good at pointing to the pictures.

The food was amazing. The molcajete was amazing and could easily feed two people. The tacos were a 4 out of 5. The waitresses name was Liz and she was so sweet. We will definitely be returning soon.
