The Odessa Volcano restaurant is as close to Japanese sushi as I have ever eaten I lived in SE Asia for 2 decades and have eaten more sushi that you can imagine. The assorted (they have a large selection) fish are shipped fresh and it tastes it. The sushi are sizeable. The fish melts in your mouth as it is supposed to. While eating, the flavors brought memories to mind which is wonderful while savoring the flavors. Note: the sushi comes created as you request. Add nori, cucumber, avocado, etc as you like. 5 stars from me.

Pleasantly surprised by Volcano restaurant! The ambiance is very mellow. They have a bar, sushi bar, tables and cozy booths. The service is amazing! We were greeted and seated immediately, everyone was friendly, and very accommodating towards our baby. We loved our sever, Mia, she was extraordinarily sweet and an overall great server. All the food was delicious and presented beautifully: 5/5 Salmon Mango Sushi (raw) 5/5 Sakura Sushi (cooked) 5/5 Hell s Ramen We ordered it with less spice than it s normally served with and it was still pretty hot but had great flavor. I would recommend ordering it mild. 5/5 Jalapeño hibachi with a side of fried noodles Can t wait to go back! Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: Yes! So sweet to our baby and there were other kids eating as well.

we tried a lot of everything with the all you can eat buffet. everything was unseasoned besides the marinated bulgolgi and short ribs but even that was chewy and bland. we immediately both felt nauseated from the heat and the food and had to leave. wasted of $75. only thing we enjoyed was the california roll and the dr pepper.

I absolutely love their pho noodle soup. I live 2.5-3 hrs away and it s always a must-have when we come into the city. It s light but satisfying, and tastes amazing! 10/10 would recommend. Friends agree too!

I ordered 3 basic sushi rolls that EVERY sushi place in america sells for $15. The most basic sushi rolls you can buy. Which is normal price. The next day I ordered 6 rolls and they charged me $50. She said apparently after a certain time, if you dont order them at a specific time, theyre magically worth double what they were to begin with. $15 for 3 rolls is a normal price for basic sushi rolls. They dont have any fancy drizzle, crunchy or anything special. Its a basic roll. I wont be back.

The lady in the front is VERY rude and loud. The online ordering system is confusing , I paid an extra 6.95 for them to correct the online order. The food for the cost was very BLAND. I asked for extra sauce for the pad thai noodles and the noodles are extremely dry with NO flavor. Ill never come back here again , bad attitudes and bad food!

Spicy girl sushi roll. Wish I bought 2 of these instead of the other 2 rolls but wanted to try new things. Paid $27 for spicy girl sushi roll (6 pieces), salmon skin roll (6 pieces), sweet potato roll (6 pieces). That s $1.50/bite and I took 18 bites in 5 minutes and poof gone. Got it to-go and was just going to try one slide each before going home. I ate it all before turning on the ignition.

Place is actually pretty dang great. Food is absolutely nothing to shake an angry spoon at but there are better (if more costly) options of course (I save the 5 stsr for them) Service was great, nice, always there when we wanted her, listened well, no less ups, refined drinks, brought extras, and patient waiting on our 3rd to show up (pretty dang cute to, Any chance someone wanna send me her contact ) Atmosphere is better than mid their restaurants, and more in line with a fancy upper mid teor like you might see at olive garden but, in a much smaller (yet still plenty of room) space. I definitely recommend it and am happy I got to go today Parking: Its a big parking lot that serves the whole strip mall this place is in Kid-friendliness: Its not a problem, they arent going out of theor way to entertain them but, they also arent setting them on fore or delivering food naked. Went in to order to go. The lady at the front didn t even acknowledge me the whole time. Was trying to be mindful of her doing little task and still nothing might as well have been a ghost. Order food and my total was higher than I thought. They have prices on their menu but then charge you a different price. An up charge of $5 for one item and $2 for the other. Volcano is one of the best Asian foods in odessa, but the Pho is not great, mostly due to the lack of protein ( meat ) Ive gotten Pho from them on 3 separate occasions and with how good the rest of the food is I had high expectations. I traveled a lot in the United States and Asian countries, and unfortunately, the Pho at Volcano is the worst Ive had. Pho broth takes effort and requires enough meat to flavor it. Its very bland here. Love the rest of the food, skip the Pho.

Wow, I had no idea what I was missing in Odessa until I tried this out. The noodles are outstanding! Obviously, get the pan fried noodles that are the restaurant specialty, but please check out the Mei Fun (the best I ve had) and the ramen (they are quite generous with the portion and fixings). I also loved the yakisoba, if you have a hankering for that. It s the best Asian food around for miles.

Update: was in town, so decided to stop by and try them again. Went with the sushi/sashimi combo with miss soup and it was pretty good. Felt one of the selection was a bit dry but over all good. Had heard about this place in TX oil capital so decided to stop by during my trip in the area. Must say, I was not disappointed!! This was our first time here and I was really hoping it was like the hibachi back home in Michigan, sadly it was not. For the portion it wasnt worth the price. I got the combination plate. The shrimp and steak was tasty. I didnt care for the chicken. There was only a small portion of veggies included. The waitress forgot to give us our soup and salad and we already got our main course when we had to ask for it. She asked if we still wanted it, like yeah? Were paying for it. The Jalapeño bombs were amazing. There was some sort of sauce put onto our plate in a beautiful design, however by the time we got to it, it was rock hard. Im not sure what kind of sauce it was that can become rock hard and unusable, but we still had a lovely time.

They draw you a special picture on your sushi order, so much fun. Loved the California roll and crunchy roll!! My husband had the General Tao s and it was delicious, the best he d ever had!! Definitely be back for some more.
