I chose James off of his Google reviews and was not disappointed. He helped me through a multi-year complicated divorce that involved three businesses, commercial properties, and was extremely contentious. James was very responsive. He expertly navigated the complexities of a divorce as a business owner. He was not cheap but it was worth it. I feel like his greatest strength is actually at trial. James came well-prepared knew the law and was prepared for every possibility. I would highly recommend him. His staff is also very friendly. I have dealt with other lawyers in New Braunfels and James is unique in his passion about what he does.

James Bettersworth rescued me and kept me from going completely over-the-edge during a traumatic event in my life. I could barely breathe or speak without crying when I walked in to his office and I definitely couldn t think straight. He is a legal power house and was able to solve my legal issues quickly with a financial outcome that allowed me to focus on healing. The council he provided reached way beyond legal matters. He charted a daily course for me to follow over the coming days. It was a plan to keep me moving forward and to keep my kids moving forward. He was quick to answer or return my calls and he also took the time to call me often and meet with me regularly to discuss my well being and emotional progress. There was never a time that my calls and concerns went unanswered, I have fought for 10 years to get custody of my daughter from her bipolar abusive mother and where all others failed James succeeded.
