I do not recommend it to my worst enemy. Tottally Unprofessional and worst experience that I ve ever received from healthcare. They are not consistent about what they talk. Kept saying one thing and doing another. Policy is not clear and also changes at their convenience. The policy that was shown once I requested my refund for wrong prescription was totally related to the frame. But the problem was the wrong prescription. Without mentioning the wrong prescription that was not refunded in full.(never ever it was explained at any time or even the policy was not shown to me once I paid my glasses) They want to charge a new appointment to check the prescription that was wrong( my appointment that resulted in the wrong prescription was 2 weeks before). That was not explained once the lady scheduled the visit to fix the wrong prescription that I should pay it again. I tried the eyeglass, and the glass was not even given to me once I tried on store, left side was completely blurry that I couldnt read anything. They stated my prescription changed but I could see in left side with my old glasses. Now I went to another doctor and have a different prescription than the one that place prescribed to me. Worst, worst, worst experience that I ever received in my life.. Do not recommend it to my worst enemy (if I suppose have one). The manager is so condescending and rude. Do not waste your time and money. I added the prescription from that place that was done at August 13,2024. And the prescription my doctor prescribed Today Sep 20,2024. To people compare the discrepancy between the 2 prescription. Now it is clear why I couldnt read with that prescription.... Do not go to that place , I do not reccomended.

Unprofessional and worst experience I ve ever received from a healthcare professional. I have so many qualms with this business and how they handled the treatment of my daughter s eye care but after reading how she responds to other negative reviews on here, I ll make it short to protect myself from an angry gaslit response. In a nutshell- I wouldn t recommend this place to my worst enemy, much less a child. I m pretty sure we had to cough the cost of $2k k-lenses that were someone else s prescription after the doctor lost her lenses then suddenly found them 2 days later. Terrible treatment planning on the doctor (seriously, k-lenses for a 5 year old without going over other options in the assessment feels unethical), terrible organization of the doctor and office staff who lost and/or forgot to order your new pair of contacts but will tell you the manufacturer is just really behind and/or that the contacts got put in the wrong spot and/or that they thought you already picked them up. After months of waiting on a new pair of contacts and their stories changing every time we called, combined with excruciating nights of calming a crying 5 year old for 30-50 minutes because k-lenses are a terrible treatment plan for a 5 year old (or the doctor didn t properly assess my child to see if she was a good candidate), we lost all trust in this doctor and terminated services. Oh, and as for the contacts that cost nearly $2k and took months to finally come in after every excuse under the sun that was magically found while my husband was on a call complaining about it being months.. well, no surprise, but those contacts were recycled the day my husband said we didn t trust the doctor and no longer wanted to work with them before having come to an agreement. So in a nutshell, the doctor won t give us a full refund because of the contract we signed but also won t fulfill her end of the contract as we ve literally only had her in one correct lens for maybe 1-2 weeks. Make it make sense Worst decision ever coming here..

I would recommend researching Vision Therapy before agreeing to do the prescribed treatment plan. The office will also offer 15% off if you agree to pay upfront. I would recommend that you DO NOT pay upfront because the office does not do a great job keeping track of the session that you are on. For instance, if you have to miss any weeks and are unable to make them up the same week, they skip that visit. The office would explain that differently than I did, but the method in which they keep track is so convoluted, no one can understand it. Jennifer spent 20 minutes studying, highlighting, underlining and notating and still couldn t make heads or tails of how many visits we were owed. I m still unsure and so is she. Since finding a time that worked for us was not possible, I asked to cancel our treatment plan. After a couple of weeks, Jennifer called and happily reported that they now had a 3:15 appointment slot open up. I explained that we could not get there until 3:30 to which she quickly responded that s not a problem. When I got there at 3:30, my daughter came running out at 4:00 stating that she was finished and Dezi wanted to see me. I said that it was supposed to be over at 4:30, but Dezi said that since I was late, the visit had to be cut short. Understandably, I became very frustrated. Why did Jennifer act like 3:30 was not a problem when she knew my visit would be cut 15 minutes short? She should have communicated that to me, and I would never have agreed to take that time slot. It may seem like 15 minutes is no big deal, but when you re paying close to $200/hour, 15 minutes equates to $50 lost. I explained this to Jennifer and Dezi, but they had no resolution. When we signed up in the Summer, I was told that I would be able to change our appointment times easily once school started. That was not the case. If your schedule needs a specific time, beware. It will be difficult to get. If you pay upfront, they will require a 30 day notice in which you are charged your weekly amount (which is around $200/visit) even if you cannot come. The receptionist, Jennifer, never communicated that my 4 visits needed to be completed before the 30 days ended. She scheduled 4 visits after the 30 day period because we could not make the limited times offered in August. Okay, great. Then when we were completing the visits, after the first one, I was told that I needed to have already completed them due to the day we received our refund. WHAT? That was never communicated. So basically, we were charged $800 for appointments that we are now never able to get back or attend? Obviously, this is a rule that could be easily overridden by the Doctor, but they were unwilling to do so. The office is hiring more therapists to open up their schedule more, but there is a large disparity between therapists. Caroline is wonderful and we would see her again in a heartbeat. I cannot say the same about the others that we saw. Furthermore, when you are sold a Vision Therapy plan, the amount of time in which the home sessions take is underestimated. We were told it would be 10-15 minutes 3-4 times per week. In actuality, some weeks (especially the first month) would be closer to 40 minutes 5 days per week. During the first month, part of therapy is staring at a lightbulb for 20 minutes a day while wearing glasses with colored lenses. It s definitely more time consuming than what was initially conveyed. I apologize for the rant, but I felt I had no other recourse as the office staff did not care to remedy the problems. The office does great vision exams and has a nice selection of kids frames, but the staff need training on communication and back office record keeping.

I had an appointment about a week ago and when I arrived Audrey Ortiz was there to greet me. She went over the reasons why I was there and after my exams she already had a selection of frames picked out for me that she thought would suit me best. She made my experience hassle free and showed wonder customer service and was super knowledgeable about their products. Audrey seems to be a perfect fit and a great asset to the company! More people should be like Audrey! Also my glasses were completed super quickly and Audrey reached out and followed up to make sure they were perfect for me. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience!!!!

I felt confident that my eye health was being looked after comprehensively. The entire staff was very friendly and professional, and you could tell they all loved where they worked. I highly recommend High5 and have already gave pamphlets that I took to some family and Friends. My 7 year old has been struggling with school and he was being labeled as ADHD. Through a recommendation I was brought to High5. From my first contact for appointments the attention and customer service is amazing. Audrey and her staff was able to fit all of our kids in and Dr. Nielsen is amazing. We love her attentiveness and the genuine care she gives. I have worn glasses all my life and never have I had a NueroVision exam, this was definitely the most thorough exam I have ever had, I was extremely impressed! I thought it was amazing that as young as 6 months old can come & get an eye exam here, All 3 of my children have seen Dr. Nielsen & we won t see anyone else! My daughter is pretty tough on her glasses, and I was very shocked after a few months of them not having a few scratches on them, the lenses are such great quality and it shows! If you want the highest level of care for your eyes I definitely recommend High 5 Vision Development!!

I cannot say enough amazing things about High5 Vision Development. I found a post in a local moms group online, that lead me to looking into retained primitive reflexes, and ultimately lead me here. If you or your child have ADD/ADHD, are having trouble writing, skipping words reading, or experiencing fatigue by the end of the school/work day, book an appointment right away! The Right Eye Tracking was amazing and the information learned from that was so validating. We are so excited to finally have answers and a plan to move forward! Dr. Nielsen was warm, so knowledgeable, and the first one to listen and give us answers other than his vision is 20/20 . So thrilled we landed here, relieved to have answers and a plan, and cannot wait to report back after vision therapy!

3 of our 4 boys have participated in vision therapy at this vision center and we have seen improvements in their reading in school, other academics, as well as athletic abilities and skills, also. The therapists are knowledgeable and patient and kind which gives our boys the ability to succeed in visit therapy because they know their therapist cares about them as students but they also have made friendships that mean a lot to them in life also. My husband and I have visited this eye center (not for vision therapy needs), but rather just to get our eyes checked for glasses and every staff member who works at this office is nice and professional. The 2 doctors we have seen are knowledgeable about their field and take time to explain what is going on with our eyes and discuss options for improving our vision. Our whole family loves High 5 vision (therapy) center and we are grateful that we found this eye center 5 yrs ago. They continue to exceed our expectations every time a member of our family has a vision need of any kind. I highly recommend this vision center and it s doctors, therapists, and staff to everyone I know that has vision needs.

Before finding High 5 Vision I had been to multiple eye doctors who could not help with my binocular vision dysfunction. After finding High 5 vision and receiving treatment for about 2 months, I have high hopes for the future. Their eye therapy equipment is state of the art and like nothing Ive ever used at other eye doctors. Their initial testing is extremely thorough and helped to find my exact diagnosis so that treatment was specific. Treatment/therapy has not been easy but definitely worth it. I am 30 years old and have suffered with BVD my whole life on and off, never knowing I had something seriously wrong until my symptoms increased the past few years. In regards to treatment, you will have weekly appointments/sessions that consist of specific eye exercises and receive homework that helps keep your progress moving until next appointment. My advice for anyone struggling with eye issues, feeling off balance, experiencing daily eye strain, etc. would be to get checked out at High 5 vision. You wont regret it and will more than likely find the answers youve been looking for.

I cant say how much I appreciate the staffs wonderful customer service. The eye exam was very extensive and really cool with all the technology! I needed help with glare while driving at night and I got fitted with glasses that have a tint that helps with the glare. Talk about a world of a difference! Im feeling so blessed! The quality of the frames and lenses are awesome. I can definitely tell the difference for the better from the old glasses and frames that I use to get. And they take care credit if you are like me and need it. The glasses are expensive but worth it. Never looked forward to my next eye exam until now. My daughter (8) has been receiving vision therapy here for about 13 weeks now. We are so amazing with the improvements we ve seen! It hasn t all been fun (try using special glasses to stare at a lamp for 20 minutes a day) but it has been very effective! She is performing better in school, more capable in her reading, and even riding a bike! We can t wait to see all the progress she makes at the end of her session. The staff is knowledgeable and patient- with both of us! They also work with our schedule as well as possible and communicate well when a change needs to occur. Wish we would have started on this journey a year ago.

I was skeptical on bringing my 18 month old for his first eye exam. It seemed early and I thought they couldn t possibly get a thorough enough assessment on an always-moving toddler. The assessment actually included a neuro/developmental portion that I didn t expect as well as, a visual and eye health exam. They made the appointment fun for him by giving him toys and playing his favorite shows on the screen. For moms as skeptical as I was, don t hesitate to take your baby! It s nice to know what to look out for as the little ones grow.

I have to say this was the best eye exam experience I have ever received in my entire life. I have been receiving eye care since I was 10 and I ve never had such a thorough eye exam as I did at High5 Vision Development. I learned more about my eyes than I ever have and their technology was top notch! They were able to do assessments on my vision that I believe gave me much better data than I could of ever imagined. I highly recommend this five star vision center to everyone and children too. It was a very welcoming experience as my first time there and I ll never go anywhere else. The lobby is beautiful and very inviting to children as well which was very comforting. By far this is the best vision practice in New Braunfels with excellent doctors and staff. I love it!

I have a 4-year-old who already has glasses. We lived on the opposite side of town when we first got her glasses. Now that we moved, I have struggled to find a place that takes children that young. I was finally referred to High5 by another vision center. Im so glad we were. They are all so kind, knowledgeable, and are very well-equipped to provide the right services for my daughter. I decided to take my daughter to TSO Veramendi in new Braunfels for an eye exam for prescription glasses. I couldn t be happier with my choice. Dr. Manasia was very patient performing the eye exam on my daughter who is nonverbal and has down syndrome. The exam was very thorough and their inventory of frames was more than adequate. I ll be taking her there for her eyecare needs from now on.

We loved our experience with Dr Blaschke and everyone we interacted with. Erica was wonderful each time we spoke on the phone. My son was very comfortable and put at ease with the technician who evaluated him. We still have a couple of more visits to finish our evaluation but I feel completely at ease with our care and confident in the team and their ability to help our son. I would recommend this place for sure!

My husband and I have seen Dr. Neilsen for a few years. We recently started bringing our kids to her as well. My 5 year old is really comfortable with her and her staff. Today, I took my 2 year old in for her first eye exam. She wasnt cooperating with the appointment very well, so Dr. Neilsen took us into the therapy room where they have toys. Dr. Nielsen is super knowledgeable, thorough in explaining, and gives you her total attention. I strongly recommend her!!! I was highly impressed. Checkout was a bit surprising because a charge was added on that the receptionist mentioned at checkin would be sent to the insurance and might be billed. At checkout the storyline changed because the charge needed pre-approval. Do not know why she did not get the pre-approval since the medical history was provided in advance. The eyeglass frames in the store are lovely, but also very pricey. The facility is very clean and welcoming.

If youre looking for amazing customer service, I HIGHLY recommend visiting this TSO location. I was a very last minute walk-in on a Saturday. With only 15 minutes before they closed, Erica the office receptionist, told me they would still help me with an eye exam. Misty and Dr. B conducted my eye exam and were very patient and informative about the results of my exam. As I was ready to get checked out by Erica to take care of payment, Misty told me I could pick out some frames even though they were already closed. From there, Queta the office manager, helped me make a selection that I was very pleased with then proceeded to take care of all the extras I wanted for my glasses. Above all, all 4 of these awesome women treated me wonderfully and didnt rush me out the door when Im sure other offices wouldnt havent even let me take an eye exam to begin with. My 7 year old son came to Nielsen Vision Development after struggling to learn to read and having a strong I can t attitude to anything he found challenging at school. He was clearly a bright child but something was wrong. After Dr Nielsen evaluated and diagnosed him, he began vision therapy with Wendy. She is truly amazing with him. When he has resisted work she can always patiently turn it around into a positive interaction. His confidence is returning. He reads signs as he rides in the car now and asks to read books with me! I find him in his room with books open. The entire staff makes him feel so welcome by encouraging him and celebrating his successes. He knows they believe in him so he feels more confident each visit. At the beginning he didn t want to go to therapy or do the homework. After several weeks he started telling me I like this place when we would leave and he rarely resists the home therapy now. He is about halfway through the number of sessions he needs. I can t wait to see what he will be able to accomplish when he has finished. We absolutely love Wendy, Erica, Erica, and Dr. Nielsen for giving our son a happier and more successful path. We know this is truly life changing for him.

We love Nielsen Vision Dveelopment Center. Dr. Nielsen is awesome! And Wendy is sooo sooo sweet and very patient with my children. I can already see improvement from my daughter s few therapy sessions and our homework. We drive an hour to see them and it s always worth it. Would not recommend at all. In 2 days I spent over $500 between the vision center and Dr. Nielsens Optical store. I was given lots of information but when it came down to taking care of the problem I ran into every kind of road block with them you can imagine. They told me they were concerned about my child and helping him but would not budge on their so called policies(appointments, payments etc) and at the time I was told I was the only patient coming from out of town. Things were just not sounding right so after about a week of trying to get therapy started and given more information I was not initially given, I decided to get a second opinion and very glad I did. The staff was very friendly but it didnt take long to see they are all about money. Please seek another opinion before making a final decision. This was all very new to me and I didnt know where to start hopefully this helps.
