Good food, service, and atmosphere. 2 stars tho bc of their awful awful prices with the river. When I called they said if we ate there access to the river was free. When we got there tho they said it was only free for one hour, then it would be $25. Damn. Ok. So we go down and the guy down there says it s actually $25 to park and after the 1 hour it s $50 to swim. Are you kidding me? $50?? PLUS $25 to park?? Yeah, no. The section of water was not like super spectacular either and only goes up to your shin maybe and def not worth $75 a person. Idk what they are thinking, it s outrageous! This is our 2nd time here and we love it! Came on July 5 and got a nice spot. the water flow was pretty good I was surprised since we haven t had much rain lately. we did not go tubing but just hung out in the river for the day, you can choose. They will shuttle you to river entry spot and you end up back here. Love that you have access to good food, facilities, and there was a DJ playing music. It was so relaxing and everyone was having a great time! Friendly staff too, We ll be back.

50 dollars to park plus 25 dollars if you want to use your OWN tube otherwise just 50 dollars for parking. This sounds soooo backwards to me but for those who dont want to pay an extra 25 dollars for using your OWN tube, just pretend you are going to use theirs and then the 25 is waived .. also, the lady working the register on Sunday 6/23/2024, not sure if you are the manager or not (short, chubby, black hair lady) but you sure acted like you were, you need to learn how to treat your customers AND your employees!!!! You were the rudest to us and your sweet employee. Lone Star needs to work on who they put in charge over there otherwise your company will also end up out of business like others around you!!! We were also harassed after floating the river by an employee as we were walking to our vehicle because she didnt see a wrist band on us and figured we hadnt paid our 50 dollars for parking. We told her we paid our fee but no wrist band was given to us, she then said SHE would have been the one we paid our fee too. After we described the gentleman that we Indeed paid, she then remembered and said oh yeah, he tends to not hand out wrist bands when he is suppose to smh, customer service failure at a place with so much potential. From what I have been told, this place use to be great, its such ashame when some bad seeds join a company and changes what used to be.

I am updating this review. I wrote one 2 years ago which gave it 5 starts and now that seems inaccurate. We moved away for about 6 months and when we returned the food is still good, the menu is much larger, they have made many updates to the deck. We were excited. We went on a day it wasn t busy because we wanted to be able to go down to the river with our drinks. There was hardly anyone there, at the restaurant or down at their river tables. We walked down to the river with our drinks waiting on our food. As soon as we made it to the table a man and and possibly his young daughter came up to us and informed us we could not be down there without paying $25, then back tracked and asked if we ordered food. Then he told us we had an hour and looked at his watch. Us and one other small group were there, not tons of people. Then he stared at us until we went up to get our food like he was counting the seconds. The food is good, but that is ridiculous. It can be a great place, but we won t be back. I value good service and they have lost it.

Nice little place with a view on the river (creek). Very limited parking, friendly staff, menu was limited during my early October visit. Margaritas not available after season here. We had very under-season fried catfish with fries. The fish needed salt, pepper and lemon and the fries were soggy, very average. Not much you can do after it s fried. My son had a hamburger that was good. Parking: Can t park on the street. Parking very limited.

Beautiful spot along River Road to grab a good burger. Also, they have pretty inexpensive buckets of Lonestar too which will help you stay cool. It gets pretty busy during the spring/summer season, but its much more approachable in the fall when it isnt tourist season. Either way, totally worth a stop when youre cruising River Road! Parking: Parking is free for an hour if youre grabbing food. Otherwise youll have to pay a daily rate to hang out and access the river.

I m going to start off with .THE BEEF FAJITAS on the nachos ARE A CHOCKING HAZARD !!! We tried to chew them with all our might and they were not chewable AT ALL! We had to spit them back out. That s what you see in the picture I posted. Good grief they were so bad! First of all the cooks cut them in the wrong angle which either way I don t think it would have made a difference because the meat was so damn tough, I m not exaggerating. I almost chocked on a piece of the meat. It was a very scary experience. The actual nacho chip, lettuce and tomato were the best part of the plate I ordered. The brisket sandwich and mini corn dogs were nothing to write home to mom about that s for sure. Getting food at a Carnival is better than this place. It was over priced and we really regret spending our money at this place. We were the only other people there beside another group of 4 ppl, the person who took my order was the same person that carried the over in our direction and called out my name and stood at the stairs (we were the only ones on the lower level). She called my name (the name I gave her when I ordered with her) And said I didn t want to walk down the stairs (it s literally 2 steps) if this wasn t your Oder looking right at me. Weve been coming here for years but probably wont anymore. Spend your money and gtfo asap is what they want from you and they dont hesitate to let you know that. You should be thankful they are even allowing you to come in and have food at their place. The old lady in the golfcart and the big lady the cashier are awful and before I had any interaction with them it was good. They make you not want to be there. This wasnt a one time occurrence - this is just how they are. If you want to go out in order to have a good time - please go elsewhere. The last several times I came here it was terrible.

We launched our float trip from this location, but didnt have anything to eat at the restaurant. The area wasnt that crowded for a prime time in the summer floating season. There were a fair amount of people there, but it wasnt like a New York subway, like some of the other places weve used. The atmosphere is also very nice, since its buried under a ton of trees, which are as aesthetically appealing as they are natural canopies in the brutal Texas heat. They also had a DJ playing music, and good music at that... theres other places that play garbage from the early 90s, like New Kids and Paula Abdul... The tubes we rented were for our coolers, but they were very high quality tubes if we were to float in them ourselves. The staff blowing them up also got everyone knocked out extremely quickly, we barely waited at all from the time we rented them to the time they other two guys had them completely filled with air. They also filled our personal tubes for those that bring their own.

Great place to park and take a Shitbox shuttle to the drop off spot for the river float. We absolutely loved the shuttles with the windows removed to make it comfortable on our ride. It s alright. I can see how if you were tubing down the river, it d be a really easy place to stop and grab a bite. However, in any other circumstance I wouldn t go back. There s no indoor seating and in the middle of the Texas summer heat, it s a little miserable of a dining experience. The place is really cool looking and getting access to the water is nice. Staff was pretty friendly for the most part. The burger was okay. The fries were way to salty to even eat. I honestly felt like Sonic taste better. Prices are high for the quality of food. I think youve changed your policy/pricing because Ive been coming here for years and never had to pay twice... I do love the on site parking and convince, but I think we may drive ourselves next time! $25 for parking and you can use the pass to rent a tube at no cost you can also use it for a cooler tube which is $10 so you paid $15 for parking essentially. I think that you should be able to use the pass for parking for the shuttle instead of a tube. Yes the extra people in the car pay for the shuttle, but it should be a different price for people that are using their own tubes! I love the environment etc there but Im sure I can find somewhere cheaper and or drive myself from a drop point next time. The group I was with total 13 of us seemed like half of them wanted to just leave!

Food is cooked when ordered. I ordered a cheeseburger extra well done and was served a medium rare. I cant stand the taste of bloody meat. Decent place right on the river. We just wanted a quick stop for some food and to get our feet in the water. If you park on the road, then they give you an hour (after you receive your food I think) to eat and enjoy the river. I went to meet some friends and float but after they got held up for awhile I just stayed and played in the river by the Flat House... and I still enjoyed the heck out of myself. They have good food and nicely priced beer and seltzer. I got a bacon cheeseburger and it was delicious. Nothing fancy... just good. When doing the float they drop you off up river and you float back to them. Two different drop off locations give you options for a long float 4 hours or so, and a short float of 2 hours or so. Lots of bluffs, lots of fast flows, and lots of fun... I cannot wait to go back.

Been here twice and the water was EXTREMELY LOW both times. Thinking its best to go after it rains. Got here at 4:30 and they close at 8. Got dropped off where we only floated for a little over an hour. Drove 3 hours from Houston just for an hour float. We ere highly disappointed being that we got dropped off at an early spot. Our butts dragged across the bottom at least 45 minutes out of that hour, hitting rocks upon rocks upon rocks. Had to keep getting up and lifting our butts to get over the rocks and through the rocks. Wasnt a relaxing or fun experience. Definitely wont be back here. If its packed be prepared to wait an hour for your food. I called ahead 30 minutes prior to order and still had to wait another 35 min for food and they let a stray dog come in the front part kitchen where they drop the orders of food and fed it hot dogs while giving people their food with no gloves. Um YUCK! Was so disappointed with the float I didnt take pics. Gonna try Comal next time!

Sat on a picnic table in the river and ate. Their cheeseburger and onion rings are so delicious . The staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially, Joe!!! Place is well kept up. Clean restrooms. A beautiful place to spend your day or days in my case... Retired and just moved here from Ohio. Ill never go back!!! A great place to put in and float.

This place gets very busy, but the nacho we had were pretty good. Understanding that this place has a lot limitations based on space. Our group of 10+ had a good time. We didnt mind the 30+ minute wait to get food Parking: Parking is limited, and youll have to park on grass next to the building. No side walk to restaurant, so youre walking next to a busy highway Kid-friendliness: Not much for the kids to do, and depending on time of day can be very crowded

We went there today for lunch for my husbands birthday after a day on the Guadalupe River. The food was very good, reasonably priced and staff was so friendly. Enjoyed the cold frozen strawberry margaritas !! Will definitely will go back.

This is one of my favorite tube rental places on the Guadalupe, and their burgers are good, so good locals come in to get just their food. Float and then eat your burger in the water on a picnic table. Great place!

We spent 4th of July floating down the beautiful Guadalupe River today, my girlfriend, two of our sons and five of their teenage friends. We decided to go to Lonestar Float House in New Braunfels to rent our tubes and float the river. We arrived about noontime, this was my first time at Lonestar. When you pull in, the driveway slopes down towards the river. We pulled in, someone was right there, took our money and we had a spot right up front. Desk was right there on the ground level, nice young lady checked us in, quick and courteous. A little pricey, $50 total to park both cars, $200 to rent tubes for nine and we had 3 extra tubes for our coolers (not that bad for nine people. You can walk up a flight of stairs, the bathrooms are there, the mens room was very clean, especially being on the river. On the third level they have a restaurant, cheeseburgers, onion rings and stuff, everything I ate was fresh, hot and good. They actually have a dozen or more picnic tables with umbrellas in the river. We sat at the tables with our legs in the water while we ate and laughed. Beautiful day on the Guadalupe and Float House was perfect, especially being 4th of Julie, just a really good experience, and you don t get that as often when you re out with your family.
