After being seated by the server, who happened to be the manager, I was told, I waited ten minutes for an ice tea. Then after waiting a good bit of time, my order was finally taken, all by the same blonde woman who was my server/manager. The food took over 25 minutes to be brought out. During that time, my iced tea needed to be refilled, and my server was no where to be found. I finally saw her standing behind the bar, texting on her phone. I couldn t get her attention. The other two servers were standing near the cash register, talking, smiling, and showing each other their phones, at no time did any employee ever even look at the five tables of customers. My food finally arrived, the bacon cheeseburger was horribly overcooked, my fries were not even warm and I couldn t even get the attention of my server once again. My server/manager finally came by, I explained the issue with my food, she said she was busy contacting the owner to tell him what drinks they were out of and would not address the issue with my lunch, which I had waited for 45 minutes at this point, only to be served absolute crap. Since she would not resolve the problem, I left hungry and it will be close to never when I return here. I ve eaten here for more than ten years, since the latest owner has taken over the quality of the food has fluctuated due to the bad service of his Gen Z staff. They are completely clueless and will cost this man his business because they are more interested in their phones and socializing with other staff members, getting hot, fresh food to their customers isn t even a thought here. Stay away from Iron Horse. The huge cost of eating here isn t worth it anymore.

I came to karaoke!! Holy smokes, this place is cool!!!!! i love the stage, sound, the draft beers are huge & the food was soo yummy! The karaoke host was really nice and encouraging! I made new friends and they said come sit with them next week! So excited!!!! So happy to have found Iron Horse!!! Cant wait to come back and pig out the menu!!!!

At first glance it s not much to look at from outdoors and when you walk in you would be right came in sat down to order and food took way longer then expected as there was maybe 10 people eating waitress came out and the order was wrong and still put on bill when the food was reordered took some time which is fine it s wings they take time but wasn t the flavor at all ordered and every plate brought out was broken and chipped so to my surprise with the bill 50 bux for a not so big order that if prices are that high then why not get new plates and bowls it s not safe to give chipped anything to anyone but to top it off there were hairs in the wings so had to leave them behind waitress said yes it s expensive I wouldn t eat here unless working here so cherry on top maybe just go somewhere else

Must Try! In a town where theres lots of overpriced tourist traps and gimmicks - this is the hidden gem. Relaxed, indoor or outdoor seating (with shade, fans, and large screen tvs), excellent food (much better quality than the typical bar or even grill), live music, and extremely good service! I was excited to see that their drinks were high quality, mixed and strained, and a wide variety of options from wine and sangria to mixed and beer. Relaxed atmosphere but high quality food, drinks, music, atmosphere, and service - wow what a great blend! Will absolutely be back!!

Great atmosphere for families! Five stars for live music and a playground next to the dining area! We went with our children and there were several other children there playing, they had a blast on the tire swing and playing with the wood blocks. Check this place out for a great relaxing evening.

Tried to call in a to go order tonight based on the menu AND pricing on the Iron Horse website. Be aware, the prices and menu on the website are NOT up to date. I actually walked in and showed the manager on duty what their website shows and was told they changed the menu and pricing months ago. What?! She told me they have another company responsible for the website. I would have been happy to place my order reflecting the new (higher) prices but somehow the lazy management of it all didn t set right with me. Picked up food from somewhere else.

First impression is everything. The person supposed to help seat us pretty much told us to go get out table, go get our own high chair, tables felt sticky with grease. Had to ask for utensils and napkins. I asked for the house pineapple margarita and got a lime one in a 8 oz cup for $8. Had to go to the cash register to ask for a take home box and our ticket after waiting for quite awhike after being finished. Our waitress only came to our table with food and drinks. Never asked until after we were finished with the ticket if the food was good. The prices are high on the drinks and to add a side. There are a lot of places to eat. The food was good that saved the visit.

Came in to catch a Stros game and try one of their burgers but this was one of those games where it wasn t their regular broadcast. So the owner literally tried for 20 minutes trying to find it on one of the many steaming services . Other people would have tried maybe a minute or two but this guy was determined. Great food. BBQ burger was fantastic. Our waiter was named Jonathon. He went above and beyond. Got our orders in quickly. What we ordered was exactly what we got. He made sure we had everything and kept coming back to fill our drinks. Great service for all 9 of us. Highly recommend and if you get Jonathon for your waiter you are gonna love him.

Right off the bat this place was a decent experience. I like to try the onion rings at new places and they were the best in town for my preference (close tie to The Gristmill). Our server was extremely likable and and as attentive as possible considering she had two large tables to service along with us. We came to try the burgers and they have an impressive selection! I had the Bacon Popper burger. We ll seasoned; however, the party was pretty burnt on one side. I would of asked for a replacement but our server was swamped. I ll go back for a re-attack soon to try another awesome burger. The Boss Burger looks great, amongst others!

Food was decent. Extremely hot, even in the back room as was suggested by our waitress. She started out pretty well, but after the first beer and some Jr high kid bringing us our fried pickles. She came back about 25 mins later to ask if we needed anything and we ask for 2 more beers. Almost an hour later we finally got the much needed COLD beer. Understandable if they were busy. We walked in an INSTANTLY greeted by sweet people. We sat down, waitress let us know right away that there was a playground for kids which my son loved! Food, amazing. First time visiting and it was amazing. We all had hamburgers, all made up different and they were delicious. The home cut French fries were OMG! It was a beautiful night so we brought our dog and sat outside and listened to the entertainment, and had such a great time. The vibe is very low key, and the waitstaff were very attentive. Found this place while at a competition in New Braunfels. Our waitress Khoal was superb. She made sure we were taken care of for our entire meal. Ordered meals for 7 and it didnt disappoint. Chips and salsa were right on. Burgers were juicy and delicious. Chicken fried steak was perfect with a crispy and flavorful crust. Enchiladas were sooo yummy. Entire group was more than satisfied! We watched the football game in the backroom. Plenty of TVs inside and put. Bar on location and outside seating as well. They even had a live band. Highly recommend!

Stopped in after some shopping on Saturday. It doesnt look like much from the outside, but its worth giving it a try. Our server was outstanding. She took very good care of us without hovering. We ordered a BLT, Philly, and bbq bacon burger. We also decided on some chips and queso while we waited. The chips seemed to be stale to us, but the queso was good. My spouse really enjoyed the Philly, and the onion rings we good but could have been better if they were hot. My burger was good, but it needed some seasoning and a bit more bbq. I like the bbq to be subtle, but I couldnt even taste it. The blt was also good, but the bread was saturated it butter and became soggy by the time it reached our table. There are places of improvement, but overall, a good experience.

First off what an amazing lil place to eat. The burgers were absolutely delicious one of the best I have ever had our waitress Koryn was the best very polite and respectful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone,cant wait to visit this lil place again GOD BLESS Food

Wait staff very cordial and attentive. Great place to meet up. Was there attending live music outside in late afternoon then evening. We were in the dark until lights Finally came on. When they did, only about half the bulbs were on, so it was rather dark. Thats the the reason for only 4 stars.

Great flavor on the hamburgers and the staff are really friendly. UPDATE... --------aug 30 2023 NEW owners ruined the place. Food doesnt taste as use to be and prices are 30% higher... Also they removed some really good things from the menu. Not good or recommended anymore.

Awesome joint.... Down home bar with great food. It will come out when its done so think about how long it takes to cook a burger at home... its worth it. James the bartender has some stories and being in this industry for 20 years I know hes a proper one. Go and enjoy... they have a patio thats beautiful and they are dog friendly if your dog isnt a maniac! Great place.

Food was good, but not great for the price. Bacon was chared on bacon cheeseburger, and there was fritos in chili cheeseburger, which didnt specify in description. They want to be fancy, but there just not quite there. Okra was good, onion rings not.

Service was great! We had a bit of a wait but staff were attentive and it felt like they care about their customers. The wait wasnt long and we had drinks. They have drinks in a bucket for $12 ($8 if its happy hour) - the pineapple margarita was not sweet, I loved the coconut and citrus flavor, yum! The only reason there was a wait was because we wanted to sit inside - it was hot yall! Sweet potato fries were crispy, not too salty; onion rings were crispy, not too greasy; the burgers were awesome - well cooked and plain delicious! We tried the mushroom burger. Also had the wings (garlic parmesan) - not too fatty, not dry, well seasoned. I love this place (and it wasnt just because we were hungry) and wish were staying longer so we could eat here again!

Our first visit and the burgers are absolutely AWESOME & have amazing flavor. The sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly but the regular fries were soggy & seemed greasy but also as if they d been under a heat lamp. The building & decor is really cute & unique, they have Al fresco dining & outdoor entertainment, however, there were instances where improvements can be made: it took about 20-30 minutes to receive our order, despite the fact that they weren t busy at all, plus, our server was not the best. She couldn t confidently answer questions about certain items, she never gave us updates on our order, didn t check on us after we received our order to make sure everything was correct & cooked to our expectations. She literally only checked on us once before getting our order & once after we d finished. She didn t ask if we needed refills or extra napkins. When we got the bill, we were shocked that our total was over $50 for 2 burgers & fries. She didn t even go over our order before asking for payment to make sure it was correct. I asked for a receipt & we found she actually added a $10 appetizer which we never ordered. It was corrected but she had an attitude & a snarky, passive aggressive demeanor regarding her mistake, there was no need for a snarky attitude. To top it off, a 20% tip was added, we didn t add a 20% tip. We know mistakes happen but if we visit again, we ll be sure to go over the order before payment is rendered.

Don t Judge it from the outside because the food is good! We both got burgers, a habanero & a ranch burger, soo good! Fries were okay. Kids mac was good. Outside area was cool, waiters were nice. Overall a great place!

Weve been coming here for a while. I love their menu. Their burgers are huge and really good. All the fried stuff is delicious! The onions rings are my favorite. They only have soda in 20oz bottles, just something to be aware of.

Cashier suggested the enchiladas, I tried them they were extremely salty, I complained and was told I should try hamburgers next time. I complained to a different worker and he said they would be with me later. I ate the rice and beans on plate, left the enchilada and nothing was done to fix my order. Food : 1/5

The Iron Horse is a great little hole in the wall place. It had live music and plenty of seating. The staff there are super friendly and always making rounds to ensure all the customers are taken care of on drinks. Parking: There is parking in the front and back. Out back does provide some shade. Kid-friendliness: Out back there is lots of space for kids the wonder and with the fence no worries about disappearing.
